Uneven brow waxing...
Carmen K.

The pedicure I had with Kimberly was wonderful so this one gets 5 STARS. The issue I had was the waxing of my eyebrows. After having my eyebrows waxed, I got home and took a closer look at them, one of them was way shorter than the other on the inside. It's going to take some time to grow back - in the meantime, I will have to draw it in. :(

Color is hot lava. Kay did great!

I was treated to a gel manicure at this salon so I don't know the price as even the tip was covered. I decided on a French tip so that added $5. Kay is great and did a wonderful job. She was ready when I arrived. I'm not big on manicures but since getting a gel manicure a few months ago, it's been good for maintaining my nails. They grow fast so clear with a color tip will be my go to. This salon is close to my job so will work around my schedule to get back here. This photo is almost 3 weeks in.

This is my go to nail place :) I see Kay for my nails and she's been wonderful. I have been going to her on and off for the last 2 years and couldn't be happier. She can do any designs really and quick yet her nails last long! My favorite to get done is dip extensions. Easy to schedule appointments via phone! Strongly recommend scheduling ahead.

Got exactly what I asked for ! Nail tech took her time to get it the way I showed her in the pic and was super friendly! She also did my pedicure and hands down amazing will be my new go to place.

Valentine's Day mail ready!

I always have a good experience when Kay does my nails. These are my go to for when I feel the gas tank is on Empty- acrylics w: tips! I feel prepared to slay the day after nails and toes w: Kay. You can't go wrong, bring a pic. be specific. If you know what you like and want- you'll get it. These are my Valentine's Day nails and the other pic. is from Halloween over a year ago. Be sure to make an appointment. Weekends are slammed. Conveniently- Nail Spa 101 is in the Target and Dollar General shopping place off of Cactus- nearing Tatum.

Dip #422 is the perfect pink!

So happy I tripped over this place! Recently transplanted to the area and needed a new nail joint (sorry, Elle Nails, too far to drive now!) This place is by my target/Costco so i figured I'd give it a shot. No appointment but was seen right away (9am Thursday morning) by Kimberly who didn't object to my overly caffeinated self chatting at her through the $40 pedi and a dip mani... which is pictured below in its perfection. AND I find out that the lady who owns this salon used to work at Elle, along with at least one other tech, so it's like coming home for me. Good work, good location, reasonable prices. Support local businesses!

Got a dip full set for about $60 + tip. Thought they did a good job minus the fact I had to tell the tech at least 4x to make them shorter and she just wouldn't. I got them done less than two weeks ago- had one break off within 48 hours and another last night. Wouldn't recommend. I didn't pay this much for them to last half as long as any other nail place.

French tip gel acrylics by Kay

Y'all... I have been doing my nails for the past 6 years and was super anxious in trying another nail salon because the quality of work just usually isn't there for me. However, I found this place and nail professional, Kay, and I couldn't be happier with how my nails turned out. Without me even having to ask, Kay took her time to perfect my nails - even length among all nails, sharp French tip lines, smoothness of the nail, perfect shaping. She was extremely precise and didn't rush through the process like I've seen so many other nail professionals do. My nails turned out exactly how I wanted them! Also, the price was reasonable for nowadays ($65 for French tip gel acrylics). I HIGHLY recommend seeing Kay to do your nails at this place.

I have been going here for 5 years. I love Kim as my nail tech. She does an amazing job every single time. Unfortunately i do not feel the same for the new owners. I recently wanted to get acrylic nails and had Kay do them for me. I never saw such sloppy messy job in my life. After all the pictures and reviews I have seen I was really shocked at what I ended up with. She obviously rushed and didn't care when I wanted it fixed. I came back two days later to have Kim fix my nails and they new owners charged me again! So disappointed in the customer service as I have been going there every two weeks for 5 years!!

not as advertised and still $65...

Place sucks. Overcharged my daughter $90 for basic acrylics that fell off two days later. Don't go!

From the ease of scheduling to the experience itself and the service, everything was top notch. I was impressed by how large the spa was and how many people could get a service at the same time. I have a feeling this is my new go-to place when I need a pedicure in the future. I only was planning on a Basic Pedicure service today, which included nail and cuticle care, massage, hot stone and towel, and polish (though I did not need the polish). There was an add-on for exfoliation scrub or callus care if I wanted either, and also an extra cost for gel polish. The Desert Pedicure includes both the exfoliation scrub and callus care in addition to the basic pedicure. The Desert Deluxe Pedicure includes the Desert Pedicure plus rejuvenating cooling masque and extended massage. The DNS Ultimate Pedicure includes the Desert Deluxe Pedicure plus refreshed & revitalized (infused with organic virgin olive oil deeply hydrate and soothe skin), detoxifying sea salt soak, callus remover gel, exfoliating sugar scrub, nourishing gel masque, hydrate cucumber treatment, and silky butter cream. For today, I stuck with the basic pedicure though I may try an add-on in the future. When I sat down in a chair to soak my feet, I was offered a still or sparkling water. There was a nice ambiance with soothing music, and I was sitting in a massage chair. There were fun nail or nail polish related quotes on the wall. My nail tech checked on how I was doing throughout. There were 14 people being worked on at a time, which was impressive, yet there were many empty chairs, so they could work on a lot more. I saw them put up special pillows for kids who were getting nail work done. I appreciated afterwards when I was paying that they had a 10% off promotion when paying with cash. The Desert Nail Spa has two nearby locations: Kierland (Greenway) and Tatum. hey are open on weekdays from 10 AM to 7 PM, Saturday from 9:30 AM to 5 PM, and Sunday from 11 AM to 5 PM. They first opened in Tempe in 1998 and have expanded to other locations across the valley. They strive to integrate innovation into the nail salon industry. You can learn more about them at https://desertnailspa.com including their story, their services, their locations, and their gallery. There is also an online booking system where you can request specific nail technicians or a specific gender of a nail tech and make an appointment in advance. The price of services is also listed. Desert Nail Spa considers itself the "Best Nail Salon" in Phoenix. Based on my experience today, I would certainly agree!

I received really great service! Everyone was so sweet in the shop. It was a cozy and modern looking nail spa inside. My nails and pedicure turned out awesome, and after tip I spent $100. I will say, bring cash to tip. I obviously did not have cash, as I'm not used to going to regular salons lately.

Have you ever gone to a Chinese restaurant and asked to order a dish made slightly different than…read morethe way the restaurant offers it, only to hear they can't make any exceptions to their rules? That is an example of Tiffany nails customer service policies in a nutshell. Just as background, let me mention that I have been coming to this location for years before the new owners acquired the business, so I was happy with the service I received in the past. I also used to go regularly for their top of line "Deluxe Pedicure" and manicure with the new owners. Then last month, I was made aware of my unimportance as a customer. Apparently, it doesn't matter how many extra services you order from their menu, their main concern is the amount of time they spends on a pedicure -- no more than one hour, whether you're paying for the basic pedicure requiring fewer steps, or the deluxe pedicure requiring several more services-- it really doesn't matter. All Pedicures are one hour. That's because their priority is not the customer's experience. The rule in their head is "a pedicure is no more than one hour long, and that's what's most important to Tiffany Nails. And their "customer last" policy also extends to your time. Even if you make an appointment, they are almost always at least 15 to 20 minutes late, and it has been several times that I've had to come back at another time altogether for their convenience. That does not fly when you have several other commitments! Sometimes it's just not worth the effort to be a regular customer in a place where you're not appreciated. So after nearly 20 years of going to Tiffany nails, they just permanently lost a good client. There are plenty of other businesses that truly appreciate your patronage.
