This was the most expensive, yet probably worst manicure I've had. Which is such a bummer, because I live close and love supporting small businesses. I had my gel polish removed and she only got about half of it. She only massaged one arm and hand for like 10 seconds, but not the other one haha?! I don't know if maybe it's not included? I didn't need one but it was just very odd. I still had skin left around my nail beds. The nail tech was definitely sweet and nice enough. But in this economy, that sadly won't cut it for these prices. Will definitely go somewhere else next time where I know I can get good quality for the price. read more

Under new ownership- 1) Remove shellac from nails - she wrapped it in foil and acetone for 2 minutes then decided to remove w/dremel 2) cut nails down 3) put clear coat in nails 4) filed nails front to back only ( not left to right and around 5) painted and top coat At this point i said my nails are rough and the reply was i'll fix it later. 6) used dremel to grind down cuticles. while using dremel she nicked the sides of paint on EVERY finger. i mentioned it and the reply was - your fingers are too high and that is why there are bare spot on side of nails. She attempted to fix this by file the side of my nail to meet the polish as opposed to adding more polish. I went home and less than 2 hours later noticed the polish was peeling up in more than one nail. i returned and asked that my nails be redone, start to finish, not a patch job. she began to speak....it started out with how this was my fault. i then asked the gentleman to have someone else redo my nails bc i didn't want to have them done by someone with an attitude. then she starts screaming in her language, but it was evident she didn't like being critiqued and wanted me to leave. i calmly advised the man that i would be happy to have my nails redone and i would remain a customer OR refund my money and I will never return. He said he would do either, but she could tinier screaming in another language and said she would only return $35 of my $79 as I also had a pedicure and left a tip (the lady, Lee i think that did my pedicure was lovely). Screamer was adamant about only refunding my hands and refused to let the man redo my nails. i explained that my color in my feet was unique and another salon may not have an exact match. after more screaming, he discreetly refunded my entire amount. Thank you sir! However screamer needs to check herself and her customer service skills. This place had been run by a wonderfully hospitable woman. Screamer is not the proprietor, rather a family friend of the proprietors. They need to know, she is running customers away. And when you run a business, you need to have thicker skin. Admit, when you did something wrong and fix it. Don't take it so personal. MY NAILS WERE PEELING DOR GOD SAKE! picture is hours after work was done. read more

I'm not impressed with this place. We walked in today since their sign says walk ins welcome, and they told us about 15 minutes to wait. #1 red flag is that you cannot find prices anywhere. On their website, in the store, or even on yelp. They quickly put us in pedicure chairs and we ended up waiting close to 45 minutes for anything. The pedicure chairs look super old, dirty and run down. The pedicure was rushed and the massage was half assed. They used "hot" stones that weren't even warm, and used salt scrub. I went with my sister, who never got the salt scrub, so I'm not sure if my woman gave me an upgraded pedicure without asking or if my sister was shorted on that portion. The manicure was the worst part. The woman painted my nails so quickly and thickly to save time that they wouldn't dry. Fast forward 2.5 hours later and they are still wet underneath the top layer. Thinner layers need to be painted on so I don't need to spend all night trying not to ruin my manicure. The weirdest part was paying. My sister was charged 37 dollars for her pedi/mani and 12 dollars for her daughters. I was charged 52 dollars for my pedi/mani. I didn't even realize until after I left. Why was I charged 15 dollars more for my service, when I got the same thing? Again, I went to their website to check why, and NO prices. This is shady. And if it was for the salt scrub, I would have never agreed to it if I was told that it was more expensive. To the owner, I recommend a price list that the women can hand to the people getting services PRIOR to the services being given. As far as I'm concerned, this whole experience was very slimy, disheartening and cheap when it comes to customer service. read more

Not many places do this technique and I suggest you try it, Mai: pedi Jessica: powder mani (better than gel!) She did my eyebrows too. Benefits of powder nails: Powder gels can lasts about 3-6 weeks! Powder do not chip or break and it lasts longer than gel polish. It would be so helpful if you had prices up and a hand out to give to customers. read more

No one's told me yet that they didn't like their nails so that's good. Mindy is the one tech I think a few people didn't like here, but she's been long gone now. Any tech is good for Pedi's which are always awesome with hot stone and hot towel. Anyway, they're in the process of revamping the place... all new gray-colored chairs, freshly painted, and clean clean clean. I've been to Glad Nails, Hollys Nails, just about all in this area and honestly wouldn't go anywhere other than Pearl. read more

The lady there (all by herself with only one customer) said she couldn't do it that afternoon. Scott will not allow us to leave his shop unless we are happy and satisfied. My gel nails last as long as 4-5 weeks without ever lifting. They are always shiny, strong and worth the money and time.
