Another waste of $50. So sick of nail salons not giving a crap. First she (Lynn) burnt my nails using the drill to file off my top layer I already had on. It got super hot and hurt. Then towards the end she started really rushing... didn't file the tops of my nails to make them straight. My left hand nails are different shapes than my right and they're all uneven. Not to mention, look at my pic! They're SUPER thick at the cuticle (and uneven on a few nails) so they're not going to grow out nicely. Told me to go wash my hands and when I got back she had my stuff all ready to go, no lotion, nothing. Didn't ask me if I liked them or even let me look at them. I went and meeting an emergency pedicure and thought that everything was gonna be fine. They even gave me complimentary water and even set the machine for the massage correctly however, upon further inspection of my feet and noticed that there was a lot of dead skin that still has not been removed. what they did was they did a half job. It is just honestly despicable. I understand they are on a time limit but people need this stuff done correctly if you're going to try to charge all of this money. and really had the audacity to ask for tip and then when I only gave them a five dollar tip, they seem as though that was offensive like how do you expect me to tip you and you have not even removed all the calluses from my feet. overall, the atmosphere was pretty good. The TV is definitely helped the experience as it distracted me from getting a little bit frustrated the service was so bad to the point that I have to go to another nail salon for them to do a convoy. I still have so much dead skin that has not been removed that experience. Overall, if I could give them a zero star rating I'd give them a zero. read more

I have been going to Glad for years. Wonderful family owned business. Very clean, great nail techs, super accommodating. They do a very nice job. Recently I switched to gel nails and they are beautiful for weeks. I've gone to other places when traveling and the nails chip or come up. Never happens when I go to Glad. I often go in the evening and watch the thorough cleaning routine. They disassemble the foot baths, fully bleach all pieces. Tools are in sanitized sleeves. Not very happy. Was under the impression that my nails would cost about $35 and ended up paying $60 + a $10 tip. They made it confusing when all I wanted was gel french tipped nails. The girl took over an hour to do my nails; which is way too long - at other places it takes them 30-40 minutes. The gel nails are not filed enough and they look bulky :( they also try to get you to pay more by asking if you want to use "gel polish" cause it "lasts longer". When I pick my color at the beginning, that's what I want, I don't want any other suggestions! They did not conversation with me, they spoke in Vietnamese to each other the whole time and I had to talk to other clients next to me since I was sitting there for a long time. The wait times are too long. They need more staff. I have been coming here for some time now and have put up with it but I realized there are nail places at the Safeway plaza and the Fry's plaza across the street. I don't mind waiting 5-10 minutes but 30 minutes for a rushed manicure is ridiculous. I felt short changed just so they could get to other customers although I'm a paying customer too. They do a decent job but all these places are pretty much the same. I demand good customer service and don't want to give my business and money if I am not receiving good service. Also, they have a lot of regulars that seem to come in off the street and the owner lets them go ahead of everyone. That is not good business sense. If it wasn't for nail tech Lisa, I would never go back. The male owner is pompous and rude. He has bad customer-relations management skills. Acts as though he doesn't need your business. Even parks his car in the parking space immediately outside the door. Shouldn't that be reserved for his customers? If they're busy, he'll fill in, but if you get him, you're better off leaving. He performed the wrong pedi and told me that I could not change to the sea salt one because he already put lotion on my leg. Then he put the wrong color on. No tip and never will be back. I was in there Sunday, October 25th and the owner Anton charged me more than the service cost. When I called him out on it, he was yelling and tried to embarrass me in front of his staff and a few clients. When I told him he just lost a good customer, he said "I don't care, I have 5,000 more". His attitude was uphauling and I'm thinking about calling my bank to charge this amount back. He was rude and had a terrible attitude over this situation. I got a gel fill (they charged me $10. More for gel polish) and my $23.00 pedicure turned into $43.00. When I questioned him about the pedicure, he said "I charge $15.00 more for gel polish." Really? $10.00 for gel polish on hands but $15.00 on toes! Get a life Anton, you're not in Scottsdale. A few of my friends stopped going there months ago and never told me why. Now I know and I Do Not recommend this place. Andy was more interested in me giving him his $20. Tip then how my nails actually looked. The owner is an Arrogant man who thrills upon changing client prices every time you walk in. I only went there because it was close to my home. I've been going here for gel manicures for about 2 months. They do a good job and are priced well. With that said, I will NOT step foot in Glad Nails again. I made a 10am appointment for a Saturday morning, when I arrived they were slammed but did put me at a table where someone prepped my nails to soak off the old gel. That was the last time ANYONE sat with me. I was ignored by those finishing up other clients and after 20 minutes of soaking, I walked out. They do NOT ensure your appointment is saved.
