If I could leave zero stars, I would. I felt very uncomfortable and upset with my experience here. I asked for Gel X, but the nail tech insisted on using buildable nails instead, saying she preferred them. I wanted a ballerina shape with pearls and a bow -- she was very confident but couldn't even draw a simple bow and refunded me for the design only. The bow fell off the next day, the polish looked cheap, and the nails started cracking. When I went back to fix two nails, she replaced all of them but couldn't even clean my cuticles properly. One nail has already broken again. They talk about you, making fun of you and making you feel uncomfortable while you're there. I shouldn't be scolded for asking for my nails to be fixed right. Would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

This place has been consistently good, I've been coming here for several years. Only one time I've gotten a bad pedicure, but it was a young male that seemed inexperienced. I don't think he is there any longer. It's also clean and usually I can get in without a wait. read more

Had a dip manicure appointment with the male owner. Start: He cut my cuticles dry, which caused a lot of discomfort. I chose a baby pink color for my dip and noticed that the color of my nails were nude and see through. I asked him if he was going to do more coats and was told that was the color I selected. The dip on my nails is see through and there are many imperfections within the nails. My cuticles are also a mess. Based on how the nails look, the unwillingness to fix when he knew how unsatisfied I was and how long the dip manicure took, I will not be visiting again. read more

Don't waste your relaxing experience or money!!! I got a gel manicure on Monday and they started chipping two days later(Wednesday)!! I came in to see if they would be able to repaint redo them and they refused and said it was my fault the nails were chipping. I've come here a few times before and my nails have never done this. The price is fair, but in the previous times I've been here the owner (the guy) is always making fun of or being passively rude to other customers! First & Last time customer. Went in to get a full set and the nail tech was very rough on my natural nails, thin them out to the max, all the way to my skin that my nail began to bleed. Very friendly staff but doesn't make up for the poor service. I've gotten my nails done enough times to know the process and I was not happy with New Romantic Nail's services, skipped a few steps. Took them 3 nail techs to finish my nails, and it the long run they turned out beautiful, it's not precisely what I wanted since I wanted to different colors with a design, instead I got 1 color with design Which it looks amazing by the way. While the staff was generally polite and the experience of my pedicure and manicure was relaxing, the paint job was terrible. I had a pedicure first, which seemed like it went well, then got my manicure next. I was waiting for it to dry when a guy who worked there told me it was dry and I could leave (he did my pedicure but not manicure). It didn't seem like enough time but I don't have the guts to say that so I paid and left. I was as careful as possible but smudged my still wet nail getting into my car. I thought about going right back in and asking them to fix it since they pushed me out, but again, wussed out and went home. I sat to let them dry further and then looked at my toes, which I had not touched at all in the slightest and was shocked. They were very smudged and when I touched a tiny corner they were still VERY wet and sticky over an hour after he'd finished. A picture of my pedicure is attached. Im a creature of habit. So naturally, I was incredibly apprehensive about finding a reputable nail salon after I just moved to Phoenix from Tucson. I am very picky about my nails and we found the only nail salon that was open on Easter Sunday. We walked right in and were greeted immediately. While the staff wasnt exactly beaming with friendliness, we were accomodated pretty quickly. to make a long story short, the nail tech did exactly as I asked and I am pretty particular about my manis, but even through my odd and unconventional request she obliged. I have not experienced any lifting at all which is indicative of a job wel done. In addition, the nail tech did my eyebrows and they looked great. The price was reasonable too, I paid about $40 for a full set including eyebrow wax. I hear they do lash extensions also for $35.. I will have to try these on my next visit and folllow up. For now, this is my go-to nail salon in the city. Please bring cash, as the staff prefers gratuity in cash! read more

Great spot. Nails lasted a whole month with SNS, and the color options are endless! Ended up trying a new spot with my daughter 2 weeks ago and regretted that I didn't come here! After 2 weeks, my nails are all messed up and broken. Needless to say... I will definitely come back to this place for my SNS needs!!! Pedicures are also great here too! My spa pedicure was great. Nice technician, good massage, and paraffin treatment. I requested a design which took a couple of tries but worked out in the end. I came on a Sunday and knew it would be busy but they seemed to get pretty overwhelmed and my nail technician left to start another persons pedicure before mine was done so another customer and I split the time of a different technician. Horrible experience. I went in on a weeknight about 40 min before close. I was the only customer. I was greeted and asked what I wanted. I was there for a pedi and gel mani. I was told to sit and because I was there late they immediately went to work on both my feet and hands at the same time. The tech working on my nails was super rushed. I even asked her 'are you in a hurry?' And she laughed and said well yeah! Wow. She cut many corners. Even just rinsing my hands w the pedi water after putting the cuticle oil on. Wha? I had to stop her from applying polish after that cuz my hands were still oily. That isn't going to work I told her. Left super disappointed. This is mine second time at this place. I was referred and came with a friend. Hadn't had a mani or pedi in a very long time! Lee & Bao are very careful with feet that tickle or are sensitive. The first time I got just a pedi. The hot paraffin wax feels bomb! Like new feet! Lol Altogether Lee, Bao & Julie are all very good, kind, careful & nice.
