I received a gift card as a present for my birthday and I was so in need of a pedi since I've been pregnant. It's pretty big in here and it was pretty busy. I don't think I've ever seen a nail salon so busy on the weekday, with a lot of people in the manicure as well as the pedicure chairs. I was expecting a wait, but they just went ahead and took me in and they were ready. They serve you drinks like normal and they were in no rush to get me to pick a color, because usually I'm indecisive and it takes me a while. I forgot my manicurist's name, but she was really nice and thoughtful. She took her time throughout the process and her massage was so rewarding. Perhaps, she took pity on me because I was pregnant, but it didn't appear to me that any of the other customers were being ill treated. Also my manicurist didn't speak in Vietnamese to her other peers which can appear rude when you don't understand what they're saying. Overall, my feet were really clean and pampered and she did a clean job on the polish as well. I'll be sure to come back in the future. read more

The price is pretty insane for my type of worth to get my nails done but I never had any issues with my nails from this place. They always came out great. This time, I had the shellac manicure and the​ basic pedicure​​. I never had the urge to write a bad review before until now. My experience with Nail Lounge went from good to bad. The ladies who worked on my manicure and pedicure were nice. The manicurist was quick but my nail polish came out smooth and clean. The pedicurist Julie, on the other hand, wasn't gentle at all. I noticed my one big toe felt a sting. I asked her what happened and she said my skin is too thin. She scraped a good chunk of my skin! She proceeded to finish with my pedicure. But I would feel pain whenever she put pressure there. I asked for a bandaid a couple of times and when she finally put one that stayed on my skin, I thought the pain and discomfort was over with. But throughout the day, whenever I walked on that toe, it stung! I wanted to be like it's ok that's fine whatever but later on in the day I felt a sting on the heel of the same foot. I went to check it out and I see some skin scraped there as well. I was still on the fence to call and speak to a manager. But then this morning, I noticed my other big toe had a sting to it too. I almost forgot she broke skin next to the nail yesterday. There was still some dried blood there. I had no idea it continued to bleed during the day! I was so upset and disappointed I finally had the courage to call and speak to a manager today. The receptionist who I spoke to and told her a background of why I'm calling didn't even sympathize for me and say anything, she just said hold on. When I finally talked to a manager named Kimmy she didn't sound genuinely apologetic to my situation. In fact she asked me what type of pedicure I got. Like it matters what type of pedicure I got? No one should scrap skin and break skin at a nail salon. She offered a gift certificate for a pedicure and I declined. There's no way I would ever set foot in their salon again. How is that going to change that I have pain and discomfort on my feet! I just hope and pray none of them get worse and infected. Walking right now is a pain! She said she will talk to Julie. The owner reached out to me to correct my acrylic nails and let me just say that the second time around, my nails look a million times better! It is still frustrating that I had to go twice. I would return, but Holly is the one to see! I will be selective with who I go to now. She takes time to make sure everything is filed properly and does not over coat the acrylic (which is what happened on my first appointment). She pays very close attention to detail. I've been coming to Nail Lounge on and off for the last 7+ years and it pains me to say that I'll no longer be utilizing their services. The last two times I've gotten my nails done has been incredibly disappointing. I got my nails done one Saturday afternoon a few weeks ago and the quality just wasn't there. I was needing a fill a week and a half later. They looked nice, they just didn't last. So a week and a half later, I came in for a new set around 10:15 on a Wednesday morning along with a pedi. Not going to lie, the pedicure was amazing (one of the best I've had) but the nail services was TERRIBLE. I asked for a very specific set (iridescent clear with one foil nail on each hand) and was given a bit of an attitude about it which should have been the first sign. I'll never understand why a place with give attitude to someone spending money at their establishment. Next, the nail job was NOT what I asked for and the quality was horrible. Nails weren't properly shaped, all different lengths, some of the dipped was super thick and chunky while other nails were thinner, and the color was unprofessional looking (see pictures). My 11 year old could have done a better job. They seriously looked like dip nails I could have done with an at home kit. They were so bad, the nail artist literally wouldn't charge me for them and said "sorry for wasting your time" as I left, which was nearly THREE hours after I got there on a slow Wednesday morning. I went to get my nails and toes done just 2 days ago and when I walked in, I was so excited being the first time there. It was clean, elegant, and so inviting. My friend and I walked in and was greeted and put in a table and worked on immediately. My nails look AMAZING! I had Minh and she did exactly what I wanted. But when it came to my pedicure....boy it left me in terrible conditions. The bottom of my toes starting peeling that very night. I got in bed that night and felt it rubbing against my blanket. That feeling that we all hate.. the scratchy feeling against your blankets and beds. When I took a look at my foot I was in shock. My feet have NEVER looked this terrible. I have another salon I go to so I always have them in tip top shape. I only went here because my friend wanted to come here. But never has my feet looked so gross. I used to love this place and it's been my go-to nail salon for about 3 years but recently the customer service has been awful. I've gone in multiple times recently where they either change my appointment time or nail technician that I've requested. The last time I went, the guy did my nexgen in 25 minutes and a week later 3 of my nails are already completely missing the color/ come off. I called to ask about their service guarantee and they said it only covered 5 days after service. You would think for a loyal client, they would try to work something out. They are a little more than most nail salons which I didn't mind paying because their services used to be great. Now, my manicure doesn't even last a week. The nails were super cute until they all started popping off after 1 week. I paid $58 for my daughter's tie dye DIP nails. They started coming off when she was out of town visiting her grandparents. I heard the lady say to a walk in that Wynn would be ready in 5 minutes. I then was given sandra for a manicure & pedicure. She was undoubtedly the worst manicurist I have ever had. I honestly feel that when they saw that I was a man that they waited and assigned to someone who did not care about the customer. She was rude, rough, and after she was done she just walked away. Did not say anything to me. She stood over me to see how much tip I was going to give her. WARNING to all males: Never go in here. Let me start by saying that I don't typically write negative reviews, but due to my experience today, I felt compelled to express my disappointment. I have been getting my nails/toes done here for over two years. Even now that I live in Anna, I still come here due to the quality of service. Normally I see Andy or Minh for my nails, but he was so on vacation and Minh was fully booked. The lady that did my NexGen today did a pretty good job, so no complaints there. My issue was with the pedicure. First off, the technician was rushing and took all of maybe 10 minutes to do my pedicure. I asked her to pick a color to match my nails, and I told her I wasn't sure if the color she selected would match. She said that it would so I let her proceed. Once she finished, I noticed that I could still see my toe nails through the polish. It was apparently too translucent or maybe not enough coats. The lady doing my nails asked the manager Peter (I'm assuming he was the manager) if someone could change the polish because it was too translucent. Peter asked the original lady who did the pedicure to repaint them with a a white base coat so that my toe nails wouldn't shine through. The lady then got an attitude and snatched my flip flops back off while asking rudely what color I wanted. I told her that like I stated before, I want it to match my nails. She then starting walking off fast towards where the polishes are kept and was talking in her language to other technicians. I don't speak Vietnamese but at this point I'm sure she wasn't saying anything nice. When she came back she was being very rough while taking my polish off. I then flagged Peter down and told him that I didn't appreciate her attitude, as I am a paying customer who frequents their establishment with my ENTIRE FAMILY (even my husband gets pedicures here!) After he spoke with her in the back she returned with a better attitude, but still did a poor and sloppy job painting my toenails. I have included pictures to prove it. After paying $73 for both services, walking to my car, going back in a 2nd time to have the polish cleaned up, I still ended up leaving there having to stop at another nail salon on my way home to have the polish changed. Needless to say I am very displeased with the quality of work and lack of customer service that I received today. It is very unfortunate because I normally have a good experience here :( read more

First, I am EXTREMELY picky to the point of annoyance with the way my nails are done. I don't usually ask for the typical either, so I'm always giving a tall order. Not only was the owner, Kimmie, and my technician, Mike, extremely accommodating, but the attention to detail was amazing. While Mike did make some impatient remarks, he was never discouraged to derail from the perfection of his work. Second, they took Amex and the prices were normal. HUGE convenience. So, big plus there. Third, everyone there is very pretty, the place is pretty, and a bunch of them speak English and are really outgoing and funny. Finally, Kimmie, the owner, who actually looks like Kim Kardashian, was so personable and accommodating. That is why I took off one star, I wish they had a wall or something to separate the nail stations from the pedicure stations....but I guess they can't because the place is a little small in comparison to their clientele. They have over 48 staff members, so when someone does your nails beautiful...remember his or her name or you will have to try another set of folks lol. I explained to the lady that my aunt was paying for my nails once we were done with everything. She insisted I pay & I explained to her once again that she would be paid but once we were done. I figured you always pay once ALL services are completed. I proceeded to get a pedi with my aunt & the lady, who did my mani, spoke in a different language to the person doing my pedi about me not paying for my nails. How would I know? Because she asked me did I get my nails done today & did I pay for them. How rude! Body language also tells a lot. Once we were done they we're ALL paid. Will I return? No! My wife took my daughters to get their nails done here the other day. Let's just say it was a moment in time that can not be given back. Monday we went and got them done. Tuesday she had went up there to get a nail fixed that popped off. Then this morning after she woke up she had 3 nails pop off. So my wife took my daughter back up there to fix them and they gave her a new set because of a crappy job. When she got done they looked even worse than any other time they had done them. I recently went to this place for my NYE nails. I want to start with this place is super duper clean. It has a very fresh, comfy feel. The nail colors were a little hard to find if you have never been there and the waiting seating is far too crowded (but that tells you it is a pretty awesome place if that many are waiting) The place is very open, so the smell isn't too bad. I received a basic manicure, which has lasted me over a week. I am always happy if mine lasts 7 days with minimal damage and they have. I type, cook and do dishes on the regular, so it's not like I go easy on them. Another plus about this place is that I was able to show them a picture from pintrest and they didn't fret about it. They said you got it. I was very pleased by this as I have tried to get some cool looks at other places and they look at me funny. LOL. On the pedicure, I went with a $36 pedicure, I believe the mango and honey. It was super relaxing and they massage a great amount of time. I feel like their technique is better than most nail salons. They scrub, massage, lotion and paraffin is you prefer it. They did a great job on matching my toes to my fingers with no complaints. I would recommend this place to anyone who lives within 20 minutes. It's nice and classy. The pricing is about $5 more maybe on the pedicures, but I still think it is very reasonable for the amount of time they spend with you. I also really liked that they were not pushy to sell you other items like waxing or an extra foot scrub. They only sold you what you ordered, which is the way I feel all salons should be. read more

She left them blotchy and uneven after 3 layers and a top coat, so the girl who did my toes fixed them and really made sure they were done well. She even called the one who did mani over and showed her the blotchiness. So they do really care about the service they provide and the quality of their work. The salon is nice and clean. It's got a modern aesthetic and have a lot of chairs so they were able to accommodate the rush of people (including us) that came in right when they opened. They have a lot of employees as well so they always have manis and pedis going on at the same time. Even with the initial blotchiness, i will come back next time. This is now my new "go to" place! A little white wine as soon as I sat down set the stage. As there are 34 pedi chairs, even a packed Saturday makes getting in and out easy. Tracy did my pedicure, I had the special heel hydration one that included an orange sugar exfoliation, then an on cloud nine leg massage while my feet were all toasty in the melted wax bath. You feel like a cow being rushed through a process instead of a relaxing experience. The whole time you are nudge on your legs to go down and up with you pedicure to the water, on the towel, etc. Alex (female) did my hand nails....terrible attitude and job with my dip. She snapped at my daughter for turning on my massage chair(yes, my daughter getting her nails done by me had to do my chair), Alex was snippy and a little cocky with the people she worked with and rushed on my tips and now I have lumps in my nails. She is one of the worst I have ever had in 30 years of getting my nails done!!! My cuticles weren't treated correctly so my nails look un-manicured AND bumpy nails. Alex also cut two of my fingers with the filing drill tool so my fingers were in pain for an hour after she finished. I now have cuts showing that are red and terrible looking today (the services were yesterday). I went to the desk on the way out to get them to remove the polish dust off my fingers and nails that was everywhere because Alec disappeared before we could get it off. Btw, Alex also used her nails with deep force into my nails the whole time because she didn't work on my cuticles like she should before the dip...painful! Anyone that gets their nails done might have a push by their nail for a nail but her force and constant nail sticking deeply into my cuticles was ridiculous! When the RECEPTIONIST was trying to remove the dip powder from my cuticles and fingers, we couldn't tell what was blood and polish around my cuticles. I endured the receptionist using nail polish remover to try and get the polish powder off while it burned the cuts on two fingers that Alex cut with the filing drill...one finger had two cuts. The receptionist wasn't really apologetic. One of my daughters was also charged for a higher pedicure than requested. We told HIM (yes, another him) 3 times to make sure to do the basic but that wasn't the outcome price. My 11 year old was $25 for nail polish...it ended up be $176 for the 3 of us before any tips. They finished at the same time on the 3 of us and all got up and disappeared. We were like "what the heck?" Yes, my tips and dip finished the same time my 11 year old had her nail polish applied to her toes and nails. Btw, She also ended up with white toe polish because she wasn't able to get up to pick her toe polish. I had my pedicure yesterday (this whole experience was yesterday) and I already have a chip on my big toe which is the case EVERY TIME A MALE does them...I don't think they are trained as this has been the case (poor polish application) in 3 salons since I moved to Allen in 3 different salons. Let me add that the are SUPER EXPENSIVE! The cattle rush feeling is ridiculous and it feels like a stressful situation from the sad faces on the employees and the poor customer service during the process. We should have left as it started (there were signs from the beginning) but I didn't know what to do with my daughters there...I didn't want to make a scene. Do not go here. I read a couple of reviews that had 5 stars here and I wish I had read their comments before I went there. They gave them 5 stars but made comments like some of the manicurists are no good and that you have to request certain people..why would you give a 5 star and then review to a place knowing they aren't five star!?! How are we supposed to know who is terrible and not?!? That means the place is not a 5 star!!! My bad for trusting the visual stars without reading. read more
