He listens, and is very helpful when I want to try something new ( I am always asking him to change the shape of my nails, or do something wild)! If I could give less stars I would. Not only is the work poor at this salon, the level of professionalism is completely non existent. Let's start from the beginning: I started coming to this shop because a dear friend of mine RAVED about their service. I've been getting my nails done for years and decided I'd be the judge. My first visit was nice enough, the girls were nice. I got a gel manicure and gel pedicure. The VERY NEXT DAY my nail chipped. This became a trend. Every time I would go get my hands done, I would need a fix within a couple of days. Why did I keep going? Convenience of course. I've invited my family and business associates here and they encountered the same issue. Nails popping off and poor service. I was actively searching for a new salon and the decision to leave completely happened my last visit. I went with friends and family and had $126 in service. For the first time I paid in cash. In addition to the the $120 in cash I gave an additional $20 to my tech Hannah and told her they could keep the change. ($14) Now of course the very next week I come in for a nail fix...I proceeded to wait an hour before anyone even attempted to help me. Finally Hannah approaches me and tells me the reason no one will help me is because I DON'T TIP. LOL. First of all, coming from the service industry I know how important tips are. In addition, I'm thinking in my head: Why didn't Hannah shut this down because I always tip her and she took my tip last time? The thing is, I go 3x a month as a standard to get my nails and feet done AND I ALWAYS TIP. I go in for nail fixes AND I TIP. The audacity to be ignored for a tip...which by the way is OPTIONAL is the rudest thing I've ever encountered. I HAVE RECEIPTS THAT PROVE THIS. To make matters worse, their techs blamed my lack of tipping due to the alcohol they OVER SERVE their customers. That's right...Nail Lounge gets their customers drunk then sends them on their way in the streets. Do they have a liquor license to serve?? Does TABC know about this practice? Should someone alert them??? My biggest concern is what happens to cash tips when you leave them with the techs? How is this regulated?? Perhaps some in house revamping would help them track cash tips better? I started going to another nail shop and had them remove my nails from Nail Lounge Allen. The tech there asked me how long I had that set and I replied 2 weeks. He couldn't believe that due to how POOR the nails were done. All My nails under my tip had a lip that and caught all dirt and grime. (Tips were not put high enough to be even with my real nails). The nexgen was cracking in the middle of the nail( which means it wasn't thick enough). He asked where I went and when I told him Nail Lounge Allen, he said, "This isn't the first time I've heard this about them." He told me that the reason my nails kept breaking and chipping was NOT coincidence. He said that often salons instruct their techs to do subpar jobs so that people have to come back SOONER to get new service. (CONFIRMATION) Needless to say...this shop is in a high end area, with Harry Hines service. These people will NEVER get my money OR TIPS again. TO KIMMIE: I do not wish to reconcile this issue as I know you have no genuine interest in doing so. Don't put up a front to people viewing this review. I LOVE this place and have referred all of my friends here. It took me a long time to find a nail salon that I like because I am very picky. I go to Alex and she is very meticulous to make sure everything is just right. She remembers my style, goes above and beyond to make sure I am comfortable and my nails last so long, they still look perfect when I come back three weeks later. I will say, they have a lot of staff and some of them are not good. In the beginning as I tried to find someone I liked, I did have a couple bad experiences. If you like your service, make sure to get their name so you can ask for them again. The good ones get fully booked several days in advance. If you're a walk in, you'll likely get someone that is inexperienced. All around, this is my favorite salon! They are clean, friendly, have a great selection of colors and a ton of pedicure chairs. read more

I've gone to this salon on several different occasions and I find that their employees are not consistent I how they do manicures. Today I dropped in and was given a male technician. He got my fingers wrapped with acetone and foil and then stepped away for several minutes to make a phone call. Then he returned and he was busy talking to other people the entire time in another language. I could make out that they were talking about what they wanted to order for lunch. He did this with two other employees at least the entire time he was working on me and he was so distracted that he would stop in the middle of painting a finger nail to talk with the actual nail brush on my nail. He quickly removed all of the previous coating and slightly filed my nails and moved onto coating. I noticed that he was going to skip putting down the basecoat and I asked about it and he did it. I should not have to ask for the proper procedures to be done on my nails. When you get next GEN nails that's what you get. A basecoat. I got up in the middle of the procedure when he stopped to have his conversation with the brush sitting on my finger nail and asked to have someone else take care of me. They were going to accommodate that but I ended up leaving. I believe that this was just totally inappropriate and unprofessional. Now I need to take time to go find another salon and have this process done properly. read more

I had to ask where since this was my first time here she pointed over there rudely. I picked a color and waited until Dan came to get me. I have only came here for nexgen* First time I came my nail tech Tuan was nice and funny. He was a quick worker, but I've noticed all the guy techs here are so rough on the hands .. from filing to even sanding down the nails.. Only thing I was annoyed about was that he didn't ask me what shape I wanted until it was too late to do anything about it.. so I just got some fat square nails when i came in wanting coffin shape. These were my birthday week nails too -_- The 2nd & 3rd time I came in I really enjoyed my nail techs (a guy and a girl) but I wish I remembered their names!! They was meticulous and were pretty gentle, did what I exactly asked for. No problems. Today, was the worst visit yet. I got this guy who piled on the powder and had to file my nail down more than any other nail tech done before. I hate that. I just like the powder to be on 3x thinly so you don't have to hella file the nail down afterwards. And then I asked him if he can do a marble print on my nail, he said yes. Mind you- ive had marble done with nexgen before and it was BEAUTIFUL because it was painted on (didn't get those here). but in this case, if you DONT KNOW HOW YOU SHOULDNT SAY YOU DO. it looked like a slab of messy black sh*t on my nail. I'm seriously so upset about how ugly it look I sat there in disbelief. He got the shape I wanted perfectly though.. only thing positive I have to say. But this was my most expensive visit compared to any other time, for the ugliest set of nails. the price they charge is not worth it if I walk out unsatisfied this many times.. Pricing is pretty comparable to a typical nail salon. Roughly $30 for a pedi and 45-65 for nexgen (I always get designs) so maybe a tad bIt higher, but typically worth it. They do an amazing job. I have some pretty complicated designs at times and they tend to get pretty close to what I show them. When you first walk into this place, it almost looks like an assembly line for some kind of product. It is just two rows of chairs facing each other on each side with some TVs on the wall. I tried calling one day to make an appointment, and after nine tries throughout the day and no one answering the phone, and the machine saying not to leave a message, I almost ended up not even going. Either way, gave it a shot. Showed up to find someone sitting at the reception area, apparently who doesn't like answering the phone. We were able to get in despite the massive crowd. The nail technician did a good job and were very friendly. The weird thing was, usually they know what lengths to make your toenails on a pedicure. The lady doing mine didn't even cut them down, just file them a little bit to where my toenails were way too long. I had to actually tell her to trim them down to an acceptable length. Then she painted them, and left paint on the edges on my toes! Even when done! It ended up looking worse than a pedicure I could of gave myself! My friend luckily got a great tech, but mine must have been new. Because I felt like I was holding her hand through the entire thing! The prices were good and lots of color choices. But not sure I'd go back more because I'm counting on them to be the experts! read more

This salon is beautiful and clean! The staff was wonderful and my services were so relaxing. I did a walk in on a Tuesday and they were able to quickly seat me. I enjoyed a little bubbly during my manicure and pedicure and this is the only salon I have seen that carries Essie Gel Couture, a long wear polish you can't remove with regular nail polish remover.
