Moving from Dallas to McKinney, and incredibly sad to leave my nail girl behind - I have been on a mission to find the best salon in my area. I have tried multiple nail salons such as, Cozy Nail, Nexgen Nail, Lavender Nail Bar, which have all been fine - but Soho has been by far, my favorite experience. The nail artist, MB, is incredibly talented. Maybe the best dip manicure I have had? And she is so personable. They also have a million colors to pick from. I highly recommend trying this location and asking for MB if you care most about the look of your manicure. read more

Being new to the area definitely calls for finding good nail salons. I've driven past this place a few times and decided to walk in for a pedicure. I didn't know what to expect but upon entry I thought the aesthetics of this place were pretty dated. On the other end, the customer service I received was great! I didn't have to wait, everyone was friendly, and the lady who did my toes was sooo nice and she definitely took her time! This has been my nail salon for a few years but about 6 months ago, my regular pedicurist left one of my big toes bloodied, swollen, and in pain. She was digging for hangnails, I guess, with an instrument that looked like an Exacto knife. She is an older woman who wears glasses and her vision probably isn't great. But she kept digging, I said, "Ouch" and she said, "Sorry" but kept digging a little more. She was actually cutting my skin! She stopped after the next "Ouch." It took a lot of Iodine and almost a week for my toe to heal. I'm fortunate that I didn't get an infection. I've been to other nail salons where manicurists dig and dig with the attitude that they know what they're doing and why is the customer complaining that it hurts? I shared this experience at my new salon and the tech said that only a podiatrist should use an instrument like that. I agree! read more

Not a place I'd ever go back. I usually go to Aura down the street but they aren't the best either. (I don't recommend either Aura or Soho) But the shaping from Soho was horrible. I got a fill and a pedicure. The ladies completely RUINED the shape of my tails AND toes I was in disbelief. Horrible horrible nails. I couldn't even tip them the work was so bad. I would say, I am only giving two stars because of the fast service in and out. The nail tech I experienced was not that well experienced in my opinion, due to the outcome of my nails. I wanted a simple dip powder of black. He did 4 coats of black on me then filed it down, which gave the end look very jagged and not smooth at all. Very simple to do, but did not meet my expectations. Also, he cut me multiple times and then asked if something was wrong? I told him yes, you keep hitting my skin and caused me to bleed on two of my fingers. I will NOT be returning and there are far better choices than them. I also want to state it is very hot in there, and the best they have are little fans for your fingers. Go elsewhere, if you want good service! read more

It was a clean location. Maybe we went on a bad day. But the pedicure massage was super light and the actual quality of the nail shaping on manicure was terrible. My daughter and I had same pedicure package but they forgot a few things on mine. I left and we went to another nail shop near my house to get a pedicure and correct some things. read more

I went to SoHo Nail Bar for the first time today. I had an excellent experience. The staff was polite and friendly. The salon was clean and organized. No weird chemical smell. Kenny was my nail technician and he did a beautiful job on my nails. I went really short Halloween inspired ombré nails and that is just what I got! I love the shape of my nails. I've never had a set of nails that were shaped this perfectly. I am so happy with my nails and I will definitely be coming back to see Kenny! read more

9/28/18 Pretty disappointed; the nail tech Christina cut 2 fingers and acted like it was nothing. I went for Nexgen nails and pedi for my Birthday and ended up leaving in pain(mind you it's 4 hours later and my fingers are very sore).Then to not even discount to make a wrong turn right was even worse. When a nail tech gets to the point they are saying sorry every 3-4 mins there might be a problem. Especially when her metal power file knocks into my $26,000 wedding ring and again I got a "sorry". As far as the pedicure, it was great! I then became alarmed when the water wouldn't empty from the bowl and they brought her a long metal rod to stick down the drain to see if it would drain, all while I'm still in the chair. Happy Birthday to me :( Today 10/2 My fingers are still hurting and got infected. I want a full refund! read more

I went here today for the first time after trying several other nail salons in the McKinney/Allen area and was really impressed! First impressions: really clean and spacious and everyone was really friendly and accommodating! Lily was so nice and did an amazing job with my pedicure and it was really relaxing. This is my go to nail salon. They are so friendly and flexible. They have soooo many nexgen colors. As far as COVID concerns i feel completely safe here. They're currently taking appointments only, plexiglass between the tech and client and have masks if you need one. I'm always happy with my experience. And they have a punch card (10 punches gets you $15 off) which is unique to other salons in the area. read more

Ask for anyone BUT Bridget. She had Horrible customer service, a horrible attitude, & every time I spoke up about how I wanted my nails to look, I was made to feel EXTREMELY uncomfortable until finally I requested for someone new to work on my nails. That type of behavior is completely unacceptable and should not be tolerated. If I'm paying $70+ on my nails, I should be able to voice during my appointment how I would like for them to look without eye rolls and aggressive body language and I was very polite and patient each time I chose to speak up. When I asked Bridget for her name so that I could address the situation with management, she refused and I had to ask her co worker. Thank you Ben for stepping in & being professional and pleasant! My nails turned out amazing because of you. read more

I came for pedicure with my friends. My friend ended up with this idea while we were going shopping but yes, it was hella good!!! If you look for a clean, nice and pretty nail salon near Allen Mall, please just come here for great services! I got the deluxe pedicure! It was great and the lady did my pedicure is nice too. The manager, David (I assume he is manager), is really generous and knowledgeable when he showed my friends the colors and stuffs. Today is a good summer day away from school and work! Think I found my new nail salon in this side of town. This location is VERY clean. The employees were very welcoming. They have a huge selection of nail colors to chose from. I was very impressed with the array of colors in the polishes Soho offered! The atmosphere was peaceful and the service was professional! I was honored to get a manicure and a pedicure done from two sisters who were very nice and definitely professional! They made me feel very comfortable and secure in the knowledge that they knew what they were doing and that I could expect none other than what I desired on my nails. Because they enjoyed their jobs, my nails looked great after they were done! I recommend Soho Nail Bar, highly if you're looking for a place to get your nails done. I recently moved to this side of town and was in need of a new nail salon. I visited Soho on a Saturday afternoon, and was asked to come back an hour later as they were fairly busy. When I came back, they were less busy and were able to seat me quickly for dip/nexgen nails. Ashley, the nail artist, was incredibly helpful and referenced my inspiration picture I brought in several times to ensure I was getting the look I wanted. She made sure the dipping colors matched the pictures and that the shape was similar with my nails. I enjoyed my experience, but was quite appalled at the $70 price tag when the appointment was over. Two hours after leaving, one of my nails was chipped and by 24 hours after several of the nails had been chipped with the detail coming off, despite doing nothing aggressive or excessive with my hands or nails. I'm really disappointed to have an expensive set of nails already ruined after one day - I'm not sure I recommend this particular salon due to the quality of work and their pricing. read more

First time here and Kenny did my nails, Helen did my pedicure. They both did great! I hate when my dip isn't thinned out by the cuticles and it's thick. The inside was great and everyone was kind; however, the dip color I chose was not the color that it came out to be. I chose a "bubble bath"/pale pink color and the color came out bubble gum pink. I thought I made a mistake in choosing, until I went over and checked on the examples. I told the front desk and she said "oh yeah that's way off". They didn't offer to comp my service or give a discount even though it was their fault it the example of miscoded. It was a little frustrating, since this was my first time going there and they had good reviews. read more

Overall verdict: disorganized, inefficient, soso nail care Made an appointment on Saturday morning for a party of 3 for 12. We arrived on the dot but they were not ready for us because they said they were waiting for a party to leave to seat us together. I asked them how long the wait was because I had a wedding to go to and she said at most 10 minutes. The last of our party did not get seated till 12:45 and at that time we had to cut some of our services short (no manicure for one of my friends). It was really unfortunate because I asked if they can do a mani/pedi together to shorten the time which they were able to do for me but not my friend for some reason or another. They also misplaced a nail polish that I picked and said that the one I picked was natural pick when i obliviously remembered picking a pastel purple. I had to look on the tray and eventually we were able to find the one I actually picked. I was overall very disappointment with the inefficiency, lack of organization, lateness, and soso nail care and will not frequent this place ever again. read more

What was interesting is that she was the first one there. Like she had to disarm the alarm and turn on all the lights in the waiting area. For a 10am wax appointment, I found this odd. Doesn't your wax have to heat up? I was trying to give Tonayia the benefit of the doubt....Lord knows emergencies happen. I waited nearly 20 minutes and tried calling Tonayia's 972 # that's on her confirmation email. It's the same # that's listed in her Yelp posting, too. What was weird was that the phone didn't ring. I just got a message stating that this number wasn't accepting phone calls. No way to leave a message. So I emailed her by responding to her confirmation to tell her I was leaving. At this point, I had been waiting over 20 minutes with zero communication. Again, I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt. I have a small business and I know things happen. But 2 1/2 days later, still no response to my email. There's nothing worse than when someone wastes your time. If she does go into business again, I'd highly suggest calling before you head to your appointment to make sure that she's really in the office. Fortunately, Peace Love Wax in Plano (who has a no tipping policy) was able to get me in the same day. I'd suggest going there instead.
