I originally came in because I had gotten a great deal via groupon. I was using the excuse of having upcoming engagement pictures as a reason to get my lashes done and maintaining refills until our pictures. Yes, pictures are done. And yes, I'm still going in for fills! Everyone I've encountered here is so sweet and very educated on the ins and outs of lash extensions. Brittany and Amy both do fabulous jobs. The first set took a little over 2.5 hrs (I got the "dramatic look") and each set of (basic) refills is about an hour. It's actually quite a relaxing process. It's a great way to pamper/reward yourself and get a little me-time every two to three weeks. They're so easy to maintain and the only fall-out I experience is when my own lashes naturally shed. Whatever glue they use here is awesome! I absolutely love having eyelash extensions. I get so many compliments on my lashes and every single time I've ever told someone they're extensions, they are truly surprised and comment on how natural my lashes look! Another bonus-- it takes barely any time for me to get ready for work in the mornings now. I just powder my face, add a tiny bit of eyeliner, and out the door I go. My eyes always look "ready." I've been to a few others before and sometimes I think finding the best fit lash artist is like Cinderella and her glass slipper...you gotta try a few until you find the best fit! Let me tell you exactly how I've come to fall completely in love with her work: 1) Perfectionist! Katie does spend time on her volume sets but that's because she is literally making absolutely perfect fans on every single one of your lashes. How do I know? Because as my lashes grow out and naturally shed, I'll find one on my counter sink in PERFECT fan, not clumped together, not 3-4 lashes with globs on glue at the base. They are perfectly spaced lash fans that create beautiful wispy volume. I would rather lay there for two hours with PERFECTLY fanned out volume lashes than have a rushed one hour session with clumps. 2) Genuine and Real! Katie is honest and isn't trying to just make a fast buck with shoddy work. When I came to see her after not being able to be scheduled with my previous lash girl, she very honestly told me that she needed to remove the previous work and let my lashes grow back a bit. She could've easily just removed my previous set and put a new set on, but after removal, she saw that I had some natural lashes that needed to grow a bit more (apparently they might've been pulled out in a chunk due to glue clumping from my previous artist's work). She wanted what was best for my lashes and not what was best for her pocket! 3) Caring! She cares about the health of your natural lashes and wants you to be able to enjoy lash extensions for a long time. She educates you on your natural lash growth circle and lash care and because she is so meticulous in her careful placement of every full lash fan, my lashes really DO get healthier! 4) Lastly, TALENTED AF! She knows that I have thin but long natural Asian lashes and that a D curl is not going to work with my small Asian double lid. She knew to use a C curl, she knew to use thinner but more lashes versus thicker and less, she knew what length would work with my eye shape! She customizes it to fit your look. I even referred my girl friend to her who is also Asian but has different shaped eyes than me and I could tell she did a slightly different style and it looked amazing on her. Oh wait sorry and one more 5) did I mention her lashes lasted ALL MONTH? I used to get my lashes filled every two WEEKS with all my previous lash artists. I don't know how she does it, but they still looked good a MONTH later when I came back in for a new set. You know what that means? Better for my wallet! I also requested a full refund which they said they would. Hey guys I just want to share my terrible experiences that I have suffered from Merum Face Bar on Watters Creek, Allen. I came in on Friday for a relaxing facial massage which supposed to be gentle - no harsh chemical peel or laser. During the facial, I did notice a burning sensation on my face so I immediately told her and she took the pumpkin enzyme off and it calmed down. It was over an hour facial and they should have noticed my irritation during the process and could have stopped the facial. I also communicated with them clearly about my skin type and the products I have been using. I have combination/oily skin and my skin is not sensitive at all. I never had any allergic reaction to any skin care products I have bought from Sephora/Spa/Clinic etc in my whole life. I also get facial at different spas once in a while but this never happened before. Now they are telling me to seek professional help as there is not much they can do. I am traumatized looking at my face right now. I could not see a dermatologist on the weekend and still do not know if anyone can squeeze me in next week so my anxiety is crazy right now.... Also, They don't even offer me any post facial cream to help with the irritation. No offer to issue a full refund on this traumatized experiences.
