This is not necessary in my opinion because acrylic tips don't chip with regular polish. I've done it before but there was no benefit.

During my appointment, the nail technician caused deep rings of fire on 8 of my 10 nails. While I don't believe the damage will be permanent, it will take time for my nails to grow out and recover. I've had my nails done at many different salons over the years, and this has never happened to me before. Based on my experience, I can't recommend this salon.

I have loyally been coming to this salon for years and have always had a positive experience. This review is SOLELY about ownership. In my most recent visit, there was a woman working the front who I had never seen before. From the beginning she was abrasive and unprofessional to me. Not long after I started to notice that she was also treating her employees pretty terribly. She was ordering them around, rushing them all to "finish finish!" and did not once say "please" or "thank you". On top of that she kept saying "DO YOU UNDERSTAND?" to them like they were stupid, when it was clear that they did understand, but are also ESL speakers. The tone of the salon was incredibly tense and not at all like my previous experiences. On my way out I asked her if she was the new manager and she rudely responded that she was in fact the owner. I was deeply upset and uncomfortable with how she undeservedly treated the techs like second class humans, and do not know if I can ever go back there. read more

Nail Envy is my go-to nail place in the city. I come here at least once a month and every time I come, my experience is amazing. The customer service is great. Everyone that works here is so kind and patient. My nails have always looked awesome coming out of here. Their no-chips last forever. They really take their time to make sure your nails look perfect. They're always kind and ask if I'd like something to drink when I sit down. They're also super friendly and I always have a nice chat when I'm getting my nails done. My second visit to Nail Envy and I am committed to them. They have a comfortable atmosphere, great chairs with massagers and even 2 butterfly chairs for the little feet pedis. Nice array of services that are done in a professional way. I would like to see the staff be more friendly and pleasant to the customers. I highly recommend you call and make an appointment, I have seen a number of people walk in and have to wait or come back for service. read more

Love this salon. Tiffany, Paris, Donna and Cheryl are so wonderful. I typically see Tiffany every 3 weeks (because they last) and she does perfect every time. Very consistent! She's an angel. I got my lip waxed here for the first time, and the woman was a bit aggressive - I have a bit of a rash now, almost like a very light abrasion, and this has never happened before (I get my lip waxed about once a month). They did a nice job on my manicure though, and the man was sweet. read more

After the long dip process (A process I am very familiar with, and usually takes 1hr 15 min) only one thin coat of clear coat was applied. Same day, clear coat was peeling off, the dip was lifting up and one nail was a completely different length and shape (middle finger, photo 1). When mentioned, she said it had a previous tip and an accident ( did not charge for 2 tips due to this), so the old tip was soaked in acetone and then left on partially? I did pay full price and tipped 20% regardless of poor slow service. Overall I left very frustrated and disappointed. I had to get my nails redone 3 days later, so essentially cost me double. The salon I went to was absolutely shocked at the poor quality and time this manicure took. I attached photos from day 1 - day 3
