All the ladies at Mary's are so nice! I always get a good manicure here that lasts at least 3 weeks (for gel)

I came to this salon in May after an acquaintance recommended it and because of its positive reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. During my appointment, the nail technician caused deep rings of fire on 8 of my 10 nails. While I don't believe the damage will be permanent, it will take time for my nails to grow out and recover. I've had my nails done at many different salons over the years, and this has never happened to me before. Based on my experience, I can't recommend this salon. read more

Had a situation arise where my regular nail tech had an emergency so another nail tech filled in last minute and she did a wonderful job. They were very accommodating. I would recommend Marys Hot Nails over and over again. Management is wonderful there. It's how a business should be run. It's the best salon if you don't go here you're missing out. read more

I'd like to start by saying I've been a client and fan of Mary's for over a year and a half, the Gel X shaping is always well done and I've gotten them done several times. I find it really odd that I was just followed outside by one of the owners and told that they cannot 'accept me as a client anymore'. The reasoning I'm told is that "there's always an issue when you get your nails done, and you have a comment on the shaping or the work.. you are never happy" I'm definitely confused and bummed that I'm exiled from Marys Hot Nails? I find that really weird. I wouldn't continue to make appointments, come in, get my nails done and pay over $100 for nails that I was unhappy with? Over the years I'd happily tell people about Mary's whenever they'd ask where I got them done or complimented my nails and recommended the business to anyone looking for a good salon. I'm not going to tell anyone where to get their nails done but it felt like shit to be followed out of a nail salon and told on the street that I'm no longer allowed as a client (???) if making 1 or 2 comments about wanting the shaping to look concise during my manicure is wrong then I guess sue me, Lol. Ridiculous tbh Would also like to mention I was told by one of the owners last time, "wow you're in such a good mood today, it's nice!!" Which felt weird?? What kind of comment is that? I suppose the nail techs at Mary's talk shit about their clients when they leave. I think Rachel is an amazing nail tech and does great work but I guess don't make any kind of comment about your nails during the appointment or you might be taken off their client list. Love Love LOVE this nail salon! This is my first time at Mary's Hot Nails and my friends and I wanted to get pedicures together. We called ahead in the morning for four pedicures and they were able to accommodate all four of us at the same time! I got a the Deluxe pedicure package with no chip for 75 dollars (including tip) and it was so relaxing and therapeutic! They also made my feet/legs so smooth and fresh looking! The nail techs were so friendly and sweet! I was also told that this salon was BYOB which is good to know for next time! Had the best time! read more

Update- After I posted my review Rachel reached out to me to schedule an appointment so she could fix my pedicure for me. I appreciated the fact that she reached out so quickly and wanted to make things right. I went in and had my pedicure fixed and Rachel did a great job. I'm leaving 3 stars for now as I just had them fixed and want to see if they actually last before updating any further. Extremely disappointed, I got my nails done right before I was leaving for a trip to Mexico, the next morning woke up & the polish on one of my nails was already gone, by Friday the polish on all but one of my toe nails on my right foot was completely gone. I had requested a specific person to do my nails based on the reviews and that was not the person who did my nails. I'm extremely frustrated to have spent my time and money for such a poor quality gel pedicure especially considering I've gotten several gel pedicures in the past from other places and never had this issue. Needless to say I would not recommend going here and I will not be returning. read more

Color application and all the fancy add ons were great (hot wax, salt scrub etc.) but I was really looking forward to the calf and food massage. Definitely lackluster effort on this front. Mary is by far the best nail tech I've ever been to! Her work is consistently top-quality, and I really appreciate her suggestions she provides for nail shapes and colors that will suit me best. Very disappointed with the treatment I received here especially during a sensitive time of racism in this country. I had an appt for a nail service. I showed up on time, but had to wait about 15 mins. I never got an acknowledgment or apology for waiting. Mary was the one who actually did my nails. She never acknowledged me at all the whole time she did my nails!!! The energy towards me was different compared to all the energy her Caucasian clients were receiving. She never made any conversation with me and her whole demeanor was rude. I won't ever return here and will always let other know about the poor treatment here. read more

I never leave reviews for non-restaurant establishments but Mary's is an exception. The service is always excellent, they honor reservations, the atmosphere is warm/communal, and they are always willing to fix/fill sets. I went in yesterday, not sure which dip color would best suit me, and Rachel quickly came up with a custom shade (two layers of one color and one layer of another). Perfectionist and make sure you're genuinely happy with your hands ! She so sweet and so glad I got her the first time because I'll be back for her no matter what! Next the pedicure was amazing . I have been coming to Mary's since June 2022, when it was only Mary and her sister Rachel doing nails by themselves and you had to text Mary in order to make an appointment. :) The old school days! I've been here a few times for a men's mani/pedi shiny buff and each time I've enjoyed a high quality result.

We discussed the simple chrome accents I wanted and she got out the chrome binder and powder. But right at the end, I guess, she decided to just paint on the accents with a silver polish. Stupidly, I thought she was just putting a base under so it stayed a bright mirror chrome. But no. She had another guy put on a top coat and the chrome powder was left untouched on the table. Unfortunately, by that time I'd been there for nearly 3 hours and something in the salon had given me a massive headache. Silver polish and silver chrome powder are just not the same so I'm a little bummed. The pedicure was fine and the dip nails themselves were good, but I will likely try several other salons before returning here. read more

Best pedicure I've ever had! I walked in without an appointment on a Friday morning and they quickly took me in and started my pedicure. They took their time exfoliating and massaging my feet and calves and did not make me feel rushed when I was having my feet dry afterward. The ambiance is amazing as well with fun pop music playing.
