Treated myself to a mani pedi for my bday today and was running behind my pampering schedule for the day, but I was able to get a gel mani and regular pedi in less than an hour. Another update! I went back to fix my bad neon green dip manicure and Jackie did an AMAZING job. They still look brand new except for the ONE nail I banged on metal unloading some stuff at the loading dock at work--part of the polish chipped off. I'll start with the positive: great location; immaculate layout; most expansive color collection I've seen. I had high hopes. I normally do not get manicures. Every once in a while, when my nails are particularly ratty or I have a special occasion, I'll splurge. I had both reasons today, so I went for a french. The manicure was a polish change with cuticle push back - no massage, no parafin, not even time to wash my hands. It also involved a lot of alcohol spray which isn't great when hands are already winter dry. My polish is ok, I guess. But my nails are uneven -- which was my primary purpose in having someone else do them for me. For the first time in my life, I filed them more to fix them when I got home. Also, I'm so tired of being shamed for not being able to relax my hands and not wanting to do dip or gel. I'm a control freak and relaxing is hard. Also I have healthy nails and long nail beds. Regular nail polish works for me. My quest for a decent nail place in Chicago continues...or maybe this is a sign to not waste $24 on temporary luxury and save it all for more Dear Margaret dinners :). read more

I went here a few weeks ago for a gel manicure and a regular pedicure. The salon was spacious and clean and the women working there were very nice and even helped me with color selection. Everything looked great when I left the salon and I was very happy with the work however after only a few days my manicure started lifting. This was my first time getting a gel manicure so I honestly wasn't sure if this was normal or not but after some research it seems that my nails may not have been properly prepped. Other reviewers seemed to have good luck with their gel polish lasting though so mine may have just been a fluke! read more

The salon is immaculate which is the top thing I look for in a nail salon. I got both a pedicure and no chip manicure. While there I really enjoyed the services. The foot massage was great! Once I got home I noticed how sloppy the no chip mani was. My cuticles are a mess. I got a white color and the tech did not use a brush to clean up the edges or lines of the polish, she used her nail! (I've had dozens of no chips so was surprised by that but didn't say anything during the service). It does not look professionally done, it looks like I did it myself. Parts are already lifting 2 days later. They said they have a 2 week guarantee on their no chip but it honestly would have to all come off and be redone to satisfy me and I wouldn't be comfortable asking for that. I also noticed tonight that my pedicure is already chipping (2 days post service). I will go back for another pedicure to see how it goes but really disappointed in the manicure. read more
