Initially I was so curious to hear what a Nail Bar in Sonoma County would really look like! Rather than having individual manicure stations, there's a long marble bar that spans one half of the room; the other side is filled with pedicure chairs. I liked the effort exhibited in the decorations when it first opened, but as time went on the decorations for holidays were left in sections on display, so inside it's Valentine's Day, Christmas, St. Patrick's Day, and Fourth of July all mixed in together. I'm not sure why they have kept all of the decorations mixed, but because of my personal feelings about the service this adds to my peeve with the entire business. What's actually unattractive about this business is the service. The owner Kimmie was extremely friendly when my sister and I started visiting, but over time she forgot my name and began calling me a different name, no matter how many times I corrected her. (This is funny, and terrible for developing personal relationships.) What's not funny is how unhelpful the staff was when my sister had a pedicure done, and one of the staff charged her an extra $5 for the repair. (I had been cut as well a previous visit, but it was minor and these things happen.) After my sister voiced that she wouldn't pay for extra care because a nail technician caused the bleeding, the owner pretended like she had never seen her before the next time she visited. Once I heard this I was so disappointed in the treatment as a whole, (Nichole went there for almost two years loyally) I decided that I wouldn't dismiss all of the letdowns. If you don't treat your clients well, the community deserves to know. I am going back to Indulgence where I have gone for close to a decade and never encountered poor service. read more

I got married near Windsor in August and ended up having a pretty frustrating experience at Nail Bar. I knew I'd have a big group of ladies coming in with me to get ready for my wedding, so I reached out to Nail Bar in March via Facebook to make a reservation. I was reassured that everything was in place and that we were good to go. I was in the area in April and came by in person to double check that our reservation was on the books for the day before my wedding, and was again reassured that it was. Lo and behold, we came in for our appointment and our reservation had VANISHED. I was so blinded by rage and panic that I barely remember the reason we were given for this mistake, but the woman at the front desk had the most incredibly sour look on her face and was not even the slightest bit apologetic. Another woman who seemed to be in charge was very sorry and seemed greatly invested in making sure that we still had a positive experience, and as it was later in the day on Saturday they ended up being able to take care of all of us. However, I think losing a group reservation (especially for a wedding, when stress is already very high) is a pretty big misstep and they need to talk to that woman at the front about her attitude. Overall, the experience was OK. I had an On the Rocks mani/pedi, and I like all the extras and the scent customization. The space itself is pretty cool looking and clean, and they offer refreshments if you want them. However, the woman working on me could not have been more over it, and I think we all universally experienced some roughness with the massage portions of our manicures. I had to ask the woman doing my manicure to clean up the edges on the polish, and she almost audibly sighed (How dare I want a clean-looking manicure for my wedding!). I don't think I will be back as I don't live nearby, but as I really like the decor I might give it another shot if I was in the area with some free time and wasn't relying on them for another special event. read more

I love the Nail Bar! Today was extra special because my friend recommended I go to Kimmy and have her do my wedding nails! I brought in a photo of a simple baby boomer style and Kimmy ran with it and went above and beyond expectations! She's a true artist! If you have an idea of what you want but not the full idea or like a little artist flare book with Kimmy! read more

Walked in to get a mani-pedi and was told 20 min wait. I didn't mind until an hour and a half later I still hadn't been serviced. So upsetting since I could've been done in that amount of time. I wish next time they tell you it will actually be an hour + instead of 20 mins read more

This place is unlike any other walk in nail salon I've been to! It's decorated like a bar lounge, complete with modern music that's a cross between relaxing and rhythmic. Kimmie immediately showed me the menu of services that vary in price, but all include scented lotion of choice and wine-yay for me! I went with a pedicure from Bae that included an amazing massage. I saw women at the mani bar who where getting back massages while getting their nails done. So, here I am, with my massage chair, feet rubbed and glass of wine. They have enough chairs to host a girls night out. I'll be back! read more

I've been to this location for an acrylic set and a pedicure, on two separate occasions. The acrylic set was done beautifully, for the first day, they then proceeded to fall off within ONE day. I went back so they could fix them and they did, but they rushed my service and did not match the shape of the other nails. In addition, once they fixed them they still all came off within a week. I have a friend who came here and experienced similar issues, rushed service, and on this last occasion the very same day her gel manicure began to crack. So we scheduled an appointment to come back and fix them, we were told we would have to wait even though we had an appointment. Not only that, but they were extremely rude. I will not be back, and I will warn people against coming here. read more

It is literally a battle to find a nice nail salon in the Santa Rosa area. The nail bar is by far the best place I have been to out here. It's fresh upbeat atmosphere kills it's older generation competition. I was taken here by friend who had been here once before and nothing disappointed. We arrived an hour early and even though they were busy they were able to accommodate us early. The salon has a cute "bar" theme where you sit at a bar and order off a menu with a theme. I chose the "hang-ova" with gel. It came with scented lotion of my choice, salt scrub, massage and a paraffin wax. They also give you a beverage. The gel color selection was vast and amazing. It was easy to choose one with the handy clean rings of colors. The staff is so friendly and amazing to chat with. It seems the decor changes with the season as well. I can't express how cute and wonderful this place is. I am not one for pedicures but this place makes me want to give it another shot. Maybe next time. read more

I am sad to say this place has gone downhill, they are in such a rush to get you in and out that the quality is horrible. My friend and I would always treat ourselves to gel acrylics and the last 3x they looked like crap when we left.. the lady the runs the place is the worst of them all.. jumping around from person to person and the nails end up looking like a train wreck. I obviously tried to give them the benefit of the doubt but it was a waste of my hard earned money.. spent $45 each time just to be disappointed.. there are better places in Windsor to get your nails done read more

I thought I would try the Nail Bar for a second time, after my first bad experience. Everyone deserves a second chance, right? Wrong. I will begin by saying the salon itself is decorated nicely, and appears to be clean. I went in for a regular pedicure walk-in, and they were able to fit me in. I had a gentleman do my pedicure. He seemed to be in a big hurry, and everything was really rushed. Before I knew it, I was in excruciating pain because he had cut out my ingrown toenail without asking. It was extremely painful, and I felt as though it was unsanitary due to the fact that he broke the skin. My paint job looked awful, and didn't cover the whole nail. When I got home, my toenail began to bleed. I will not be back to the Nail Bar, and wouldn't recommend it. read more

I took my family into nail bar for my sisters, mom, grandma, and I to get my nails done for my wedding. I made an appointment and arrived on time. When we got in, the staff asked us to pick our color and sit in our places. I felt rushed to pick a color, even with the salon empty with all but my family. My sister's full acrylic set was on and drying in less then twenty minutes, which is not how fast a normal set of good acrylics should take to put on. When I went to get my acrylic set put on, the station was still dirty from the costumer that came in before me. The nail powder had chunks of acrylic pieces in it, she didn't measure my nail before places the tips on (even after I asked), she didn't file/drill under the nail to separate the glue under my nails, she left my cuticles on, and there was no oil or lotion placed on my nails during my manicure. When my family went to pay, my sister noticed the price was too high. She added up all the services form the pamphlet on the counter (which she was handed when she came in), and realized the staff overcharged us $30. When she asked the staff about it, he said those were the "old prices" and that they had "changed their prices" but hadn't created a new flyer. We were upset that we were being charged almost a full manicure more than we received. A second staff then told us that they only charge their "regular costumers" the prices on display and that because my family was from out of town, they wouldn't get those prices. They also added in the fact that since my sister got rounded corners on her square nails, that was a $7 charge for "shaping" her nail. When I became upset about being overcharged, I didn't say anything, but my hands started shaking. The staff noticed my hands shaking and told me "Don't pay attention to what's going on with prices. Don't be like that". I could also tell that the staff was talking about us when my mom and sister starting questioning the prices. My acrylic nail fell off two days after getting my full set. Very disappointed and I hope this review helps others when thinking about going here for their manicure or pedicure. read more

Went for the first time today with my boyfriend, even though it was busy we were seated almost immediately. Very well staffed. Pedicure was amazing. Probably the best pedicure I've had. Will most definitely be going back. Service was super friendly too! read more

This was an extremely disappointing experience. Granted we did come in on a holiday, there was nothing pleasant about our time here. We called to double check our appointment time, which was 11:30 and by 12:30, after not being seen by anyone and still waiting, I asked the receptionist if I was going to be able to have my nails done soon. Her response to me was "you came on a holiday, don't shoot the messenger honey". I was finally getting my nails done at 12:45 (an hour and a half after my appointment). I left the nail salon with unfiled nails, uneven paint and nail glue stuck all over my hands. You can see in the pictures that it is stuck in the crevices of my nails and my fingers palm side up. For a $45 new set and as someone who gets their nails done twice a month, this was a huge waste of money. Will not be returning ever and I suggest looking somewhere else unless this place is your last resort. read more

This place is new. And everyone working there is really nice. The salon is beautiful!!!!! But my experience removing my acrylic nails was horrible. Not only did I bleed three times I have 3 people working on it, seeming to not know what they are doing. And at the end the 20% of discount they are advertising.... I didn't get. Maybe for a simple pedicure or manicure this place could be nice but never something that involves skill. read more

I've only been once, when they first opened. The decor was seriously lacking. It was very bare and poorly lit. The female nail tech seemed experienced and knowledgable but the male didn't know popular nail shapes by name. They serve wine, which is cool, but the white was warm/room temp - yuck. Very cool concept. I hope they're improving with time. I will have to venture back to find out. read more

Had a great Pedicure with my mom today. Seven and Kelly treated us like queens. Great massage which is what I go for!

I went to this place but to get a pedicure for myself and my daughter but the woman who is was there had a very bad attitude and also for not being careful She cut the skin off my daughter finger. I will never return read more

What a fun place. You come in and select your nail color and they sit you down in a comfortable spa chair where you can massage your back while they work on your feet. They provide you a glass of wine as well which really makes this a great experience. The music is pretty loud and it feels as if you are in a club, (hence the name Nail Bar) but if you are into that, you will really love it here. I am ok with that but can imagine it being annoying for someone that is sensitive to loud music. read more

I went in for a full acrylic set and they barely finished the job. I always get almond and and gel and they failed to mention that getting any other shape than square would be a $5 dollar add on. Plus a $10 dollar add on for gel. When I asked where the extra fee was for the shape they couldn't give me a menu it was on or anything. I ended up paying 55 for an okay job. She did not put oil on my hands, hot towel or massage. She simply dusted them off and said all done. When I asked about getting it done she responded. "No time". If you don't have time to do a service at least take some of the price off. I will definitely not be going back and would not recommend to anyone. read more

Went in tonight for the first time and let me assure you it will not be my last! I went it after having an extremely stressful day at work and I left feeling relaxed and pampered. They have more gel options than any of the other salons around and the look of the place is cozy and unique! The owner Kimmie was friendly and professional, you really get the feel that she takes great pride in her establishment and Jason was wonderful, attentive and took his time to make sure my nails looked wonderful. They also offer complimentary beverages(including wine)! The best part about the whole thing is that the prices are comparable to any other salon around! You're getting five star service for a three star price!! Can't wait to go back!! read more

Went back in to have my nails fixed & my pedicure. Pedicure was great. I had to explain to the manager who happened to be the same girl that had "helped" me previously. She seemed a little irritated but mentioned that she wasn't be rude its just the way she talks. I showed her how my nails were unevenly painted and lumpy. She first tried just painting over them & I told her I wanted them filed & smoothed out with the filer. She agreed and as soon as I was done with my pedi she fixed them almost close to where I wanted them. She said from now on to just schedule with her so she can do my nails. I'm glad we resolved my issue because I did love this place. Hopefully she can get the nail shape I want down all the way. read more

The Nail Bar is an amazing new nail salon! Kimmie is a smart and talented lady! Nail Bar - Gel polish coming off after only three days. - Nail Salons Near Me - Windsor, California

I made an appointment for 1:10 pm for a gel manicure. I got there and they sat me down right away and began my wait. I waited for 15 minutes before I was even acknowledged, waiting for someone to begin taking off my gel. Then I was asked repeatedly if my nails were real or fake, I told them my nails were real. Again asked at least 10 more times whether or not my nails were real. 20 minutes past and they began to take my gel off, three nails in I was left to sit there. The woman working on my nails went to help someone else. After an hour had passed, with me just sitting there, someone else came to take the rest of my gel off. Again I was left to sit there for another 10 minutes, until finally another woman came to help me with my nails. She was kind and helped me. I left after being there for two hours! I will NEVER be back to have my nails done. read more

Loved the ombré acrylic they did, but I asked three times for short length and they wouldn't trim me. Not pleased with their customer service. They also made us wait 25 minutes when we already had an appointment scheduled. Wouldn't be on my recommended list read more

Second time at the nail bar and so disappointed! Made an appointment and was so happy they could get me and my mom in before Christmas and then get there only to wait an hour and be ignored and skipped by 4 people. It's so dark in this salon I'm not sure the nail techs can even see what they're doing. Really disappointed with my mani/pedi, I should have read the other bad reviews before wasting my money & time here. I'll never be back, especially with their bad attitudes. read more

Since this review I have had 2 not so great. One was very poorly polished, very quick, and not a great massage. The last one I contracted a bacteria from the pedicure. 1-2 days later got a very itchy rash. Scratched sores. Best pedicure ever! I decided to just the basic for 25.00 since it was my first visit. Usually these are never that great but you can get a pretty good idea of the quality and not pay too much if it sucks. I felt like I received a 50.00 spa pedicure! Amazing massage, not just the fluffy little one minute type that you normally get. And they offer complimentary wine, mimosa, soda etc. the decor is fun and trendy with great music. Danny was my attendant and did a spectacular job. It was worth the drive from sebastopol!!! read more

Best nail salon in Sonoma county! The energy is amazing, relaxing but also upbeat. You get too pick from a variety of packages, which are fairly priced. I ended up spending about the same amount I would anywhere else- except I got a complimentary glass of champagne, a massage, scrub, and wax for my hand. Not only are the prices and packages amazing, the people there are also very friendly and fast!!!! Perfect to go with a group or just by yourself. I will only be coming here from now on! read more

This is a wasn't anything like what I'm use to. My lady and I were very happy to find this spot. We are moving here to Windsor and finding new spot can be fun but mostly waste of time and money. I recommend Nail Bar to anyone and everyone. read more

The employees are all very nice, however they seem to not all know what they are doing. I spent over $60 for a pedi/Mani. And I had to remind the lady to put clear coat on my toe after a correction, plus left nail Polish all over my foot and toe. Also last I check scrubbing the bottom of the feet was an basic essential for pedicure. I have tried this place a few times, really wanting to like it. This place is OK. The lighting is too dim for me, and they asked me 3 times if I wanted a drink and I said no just a water and I never got the water. Anyway if you do decide to go here, get drinks because you're paying for them either way haha. My regular place charges $25 for a full set and this place charges $45. hellla not worth it 4 me. They are nice people in here but nothing special. Also, it is not best quality, the same day I got them, 3 nails broke. I was not being aggressive at all hahaa I was like folding laundry and they just snapped off read more

I was hesitant to try this place because of the bad reviews and friends who had told me people who worked here were "rude" however, I had a great experience here. I made and appt and was taken on time. I was helped by a man named Howie! He was very nice and pleasant. He did a great job on my nails. He even asked me to okay the shape before he started painting. I did notice the man next to me was helping a younger girl, he did not smile once or ask her how her day was or engage in any sort of conversation. I understand being busy and trying to focus, but you should also make your client feel welcome. If he were helping me I could see how I easily might not have given the best review. So on that note I will be requesting Howie when I go back to ensure I have another good experience! read more

Disappointed, went in for a gel manicure and walked out with nails all lumpy, I asked for squared nails and they were all uneven. If anything I almost wish they would take them off so I don't have to look at them. Day ruined. read more

Yes I have experienced better AT THE SAME PLACE! In July I was so pleased with this Business. I understand how staffing can be difficult and many factors that can produce an off day, including Growth! I suspect there is more to this because this experience declined very quickly. In speaking with others whom we shared our first experience with, they went to this Business and mentioned many of the same things that my friend and I did when we went back one week ago. We had appointments and there were several 'walk ins' which is great when properly staffed. Most of the noise was not generated by customers, but the staff speaking in very loud voices to each other when 'we' wanted to be able to simply enjoy and relax. The 'fumes' were overwhelming to us, other customers, and seemingly some of the staff. Many were far more focused on each other than the customers. Was discouraged to see files and callous ''scraping tools' being handed over from person to person without being sanitized. Same with metal clippers, cuticle tools. The leg massage (length chosen from the creative menu), was nowhere near that time period or relaxing. The person I received was brusk and more interested in 'talking to staff' than focusing on what she was doing. We both had our nails (hand and toe) cut twice, we had to ask for this and to have them refiled because edges were rough! My polish was barely acceptable. My friend's was reasonable, but not like the first visit. The person working with my friend had a horrible deep cough and did not cover her mouth. When we got to the nail bar section which is a long contiguous station where you get whatever service selected from that CREATIVE MENU, it was full. I sat next to a person having some long nails attached and ground down. The excess from this was unpleasant. This gentle neck and short back rub was not gentle. The lighting is creative, but fairly dark. When we got outside, we were both shocked to see what a poor job was done. I hope that this Business can return to what it was for us on July 20. May give it one more try! read more
