Found my new spot to get my nails done. Right we when got there we were impressed with the decorations. You get a complementary drink (including wine). And when you get shellac you get a shoulder and neck message. Kimmie is truly in the business to satisfy her customers Jasmine the receptionist and the rest of the staff are really helpful. I will definitely be back paying a little extra is worth it. You are not rushed out of the seat and when you have an appointment you get in at your appointment time. Best nail hands down. read more

I fell in love with this nail salon from the moment I made a spontaneous decision to have my nails done on my back home to Santa Rosa from work in Ukiah. Kimmie did my nails. She does a wonderful job and incredibly friendly attitude, love her! She is the reason I even wanted to return. If I had not had Kimmie do my nails that first time I would not have returned. They also have great pedicures and options for pedicures. I do recommend this nail salon and for you to try for yourself.(I suggest if you do try Nail Bar you request Dewey or Kimmie, the owners. Dewey is normally at Windsor and Kimmie is in Petaluma at their new salon. Note: They may not be there for awhile they are about to have a baby.) I am a very picky person and have no problem paying for services but I like my nails not to lift within a week, break within a week and to have acceptable customer service. All of my experiences at Nail Bar have not been perfect and all have not been horrible. They are only human and well everyone makes mistakes, I fully understand that and accept that. When mistakes have been brought to the owner's attention they will resolve the situation quickly. (Obviously, I have experienced that.) Now, the reason why we will not be returning to Nail Bar. I had made an appointment for Feb. 10th at 9:30 am on Jan. 28. ( I knew if we would have just walked-in it would not have been a great idea because it is the weekend before Valentine's Day) The appointment was for 2 fills (one regular & one pink and white) and a pedicure. My daughter's friend also joined us and she received a full set. The girls got their nails done. ok, great. During my pedicure, I inquired if Dewey was going to be here soon... During the course of my pedicure, multiple walk-in customers came in, it got to the point that they had started to "say" they were only accepting appointments but this seemed to be selective. They were in no way staffed for the number of people who actually had an appointment to the number of walk-in clients that they had seated to wait for services. At the end of my pedicure, I was finally informed that Dewey would not be in. (Ok not a problem, he is about to be a father soon.) That left Lady A and Lady B. Lady B, speaks and understands very little English and does only "ok" work. Lady A, also does only "ok" work but the last two times that she had done my nails they lifted in less than a week and she would not listen to how I like my nails. She is the reason that I had taken a break from getting my nails done. I am currently pregnant with my second child and during my resent last two visits, Lady A had argued with me (while helping other customers) that I had more than one child because I was pregnant last time she saw me and that I am always pregnant. (I am pretty sure that I would remember if I had more than one child, pretty sure I would recall that, just saying....) I was told that Lady B would be doing my pink & white fills. I said no because I knew that the work would not be to my liking. So I agreed to Lady A. (Keep in mind, I had made an appointment) Right when my pedicure is complete, Lady A takes a walk-in and says I will have to wait 15 minutes. I know this is complete BS she just started this ladies nails and they have also been telling all walk-ins that "it will be 15 minutes". It was made very clear that she was in no way interested in helping me (ok, fine I do not have to spend any more of my money here). I told the person who did my pedicure, "nevermind I will go to another salon and have my fill done." As I am paying at first I was only charged for my pedicure. I brought it to her attention that I also had a fill and a full set. I was holding my receipt for the pedicure and she tried to charge me twice for it. Simply mistake she came in late and was not aware that the girls were also with me. This was just not helpfully to the situation. As we were on our way to our car the receptionist came running out of the salon to tell us that Lady A said she would have time to do my fill at 4:30 pm. (You're kidding me right?! I MADE AN APPOINTMENT AT 9:30 AM! I should not have to return later in the day because you do not have time to do my nails during the time that I had scheduled my appointment. What is the use of even making an appointment if I HAVE to come back???!!!!) I let the receptionist know that no, we will not be returning at all. I ended up at another salon in Santa Rosa to complete a "day at the salon" that should have been done at my first stop... I loved this salon so much that I decided to have my bridal nails done here (even planned on the design with my favorite person) and had already made the appointment months in advance. Yes, I canceled that appointment today. There is no regard for a client that makes appointments in advance. I am not sure about anyone else but I make appointments so that I can request certain people and not have a very long wait and actually enjoy a day in the salon. read more

I had an appointment but they took walk ins that came in after me. I could see they were doing the bait and switch game where they were seating people for pedicures and then deserting them. After waiting a 1/2 hour to be seated for a pedi I decided to leave. I went to the manager and handed him the polish I had selected mentioning I assumed he needed to disinfect it and he just put it back on the shelf. No wonder nail salons were one of the last to open! read more

I was a long time customer of nail bar but unfortunately they have lost not only me but my mom and my sister. First they raised their prices without telling their regular customers or posting the prices anywhere. The last time I was in I got the nail dip and 3 days later my nails had started to chip and peel. They didn't even last a week! $45 for chipped nails i don't think so! When I arrived there was no one there but with in 15 minutes 4 customers walked in and I new my nails were about to be rushed. They used to be so good and I loved going there but now it is sad that they are more focused on making fast money rather than the quality of their work. I no longer give recommendations I give warnings. Wish I could give them no stars because they have fallen to that point. read more

WARNING - NOT COVID-19 COMPLIANT!!! Well, thought it would be a good idea to head to the salon and get a mani/pedi with my wife however that was a bad idea! Here's why: 1- When we came in, we were told to pick a color (this is NOT compliant with the COVID-19 guidelines) 2- secondly, the lady doing my wife's pedicure dropped the tools out the package and tried to use them on her without sanitizing them. When my wife asked for clean ones, the lady went to the back, came back with the same ones in her hand. My wife had to tell her no several times before she got up and brought out another sealed pack. 3- once the nail tech was done with my pedicure, she handed the white polish used on me to another nail tech to use on another guest. No washing. No sanitizing no NOTHING! 4- the bag that house the lotion, oil and other essentials they use for pedis was taken from one guest to the next and absolutely NOTHING in the carry bag was sanitized. I mean NOTHING! 5- once they were done, they went right to the next guest without washing their hands. 6- told the guy working the front desk and he seemed uninterested and just saying "yea yea thank you for the feedback. That's good we should sanitize the polish" He said this as if no one had told him yet when I get to the car to leave a review, I read TWO other reviews that say the same thing! I will be reporting this nail salon to the board of cosmetology. Whether people think COVID-19 is real or a hoax, they are legally bound to uphold the minimum guidelines in which they had to reopen and NONE OF THEM WERE IMPLEMENTED! read more

I am a repeat customer that has always had a pleasant experience coming to this place. I planned a small retreat for myself and 3 other coworkers today and highly recommended this place. The owner, Kim, is always going above and beyond to make everyone happy or give honest recommendations. Upon arrival, they sat us right away. It was very clear and evident that the owner was out for the day. As we sat there attempting to have a conversation, we became annoyed with the workers. One woman was extremely loud and obnoxious! I don't speak their language but body language and timing was all I needed to know that they were talking about us and laughing at us. It is so incredibly disrespectful to make a customer feel uncomfortable. One of my coworkers asked the woman doing her nails if she could add another coat of the polish, to which she agreed in an annoyed manner. As she continued to do her nails, she would pull her arm in an aggressive manner and rudely tap her hand when she wanted to switch hands. Nail salons are supposed to have a relaxing atmosphere. This was nothing like that! It felt like we interrupted a party. My hope and expectation from this review is to let Kim know that while she's out, her employees do not make the best impression of her business. If Kim is present, I don't doubt that you will have a better experience. read more

Painful, overpriced, rushed, incomplete, garbage service. My partner and I both got pedi's and he got a mani also. They burned us over and over. Literally. Water was too hot. Towel was too hot. Rocks were so hot my bf refused to let her continue with them. He paid for premium services and left disappointed and with a lot less money in his wallet. We will not go back here ever again. My mom and daughter and Icame here on Mothers day to get Mani/pedis. This was actually my mom's first pedi!!! She is pretty short and always felt uncomfortable going and maybe not reaching the water. I talked to receptionist about this as we were waiting and she was extremely nice and made my mom feel better. The chair moved up far enough for her to enjoy herself. She's already planning her next. They offer complimentary beverages ,water , soda tea, mimosas.... maybe that's why my mom was feeling better ;) plenty of people working but they were super busy so I did feel lime we were rushed a tad. I got a French manicure and pedicure. I think my lady made the white part a little thick, next time I will have to speak up before and asked for it thinner. This evening at dinner my mom said there is a corner on her mails that wasn't painted all the way and not she is catching herself picking at it. We will go again even with these full mistakes. I give them 4 stars for their receptionist. She was a busy girl, checks people In and out asked what you want done and what you want to drink, cleans the tubs. Not a dull moment for her! read more

Wow, so disappointed with this business. Came in with three girlfriends for pedicures & one friend also got a hand polish change. The pedicures were fine but my friends polish change was horrible, see the picture for reference...it really speaks for itself. You can still see her red nail polish from before and the polish was totally patchy, not a solid color, plus the polish didn't even go all the way down to her cuticles. My friend showed the woman her nails and asked for a refund for the polish change. The women said the only way we can refund you is if we take the polish off right now. Like really? How tacky is that. You have to take the polish off in order to get a refund? It's not like you can use it again. My friend told her she was in a rush and had an appointment, but the woman didn't care. She said "we will give you a free polish change next time". My friend lives 40 minutes away and didn't know if there would even be a next time. She sat there and argued with us for 5 minutes "go ahead and yelp me babe". Uhhh babe? How inappropriate to call a paying customer babe. I work in weddings and have referred wedding clients here in the past (even put them on my preferred vendor list). Imagine If they treated my brides the same way? Never again will I refer anyone here. I honestly can't believe how horribly they treated her just for $10! I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone after this experience. There are plenty of great salons in Sonoma County with excellent service and cheaper prices. read more

I had the worst pedicure ever my feet have been in pain since! I left with a bleeding heel on my right foot which my daughter pointed out to owner she said " I'm sorry " and scolded the person in her language in front of me VERY uncomfortable! I said I bled last time too and she said she would make it up to me next time! Wrong answer! I had it done on Thursday and that night both my feet and toes were sore the next morning I noticed how many cuts were on my toes and cuts on both heels! Luckily I'm not diabetic or this would be worse than just painful! This used to be a good place, I don't know what happened! There were women next to me getting way better service that just made me more frustrated since we are all paying the same! read more

This is only my second time ever leaving a review and I ever thought I'd be the type to leave a bad review but I felt like I had to. The nail salon was dark and honestly just looked dirty. But I was trying to get in somewhere at the last minute and they were super nice and accommodating so I went for it. The water was cool - not cold but not even lukewarm. I asked her to make the water hotter and instead of draining the basin like every other nail salon does she scooped out all of the water by hand with a pitcher. This took a long time. Then she refilled it with slightly warmer lukewarm water. She cut my foot using a callus removal tool that looks like a cheese grater (I have the same one at home). The polish looked good. But they had a terrible nail polish selection. And none of them were brands I had heard of - I usually go for a tried and true OPI. Overall it was by far the worst pedicure I've ever had. read more

One of the worst nail jobs I have ever had. I went in to get a gel manicure on Thursday and the lady who did them rushed me. She didn't let the polish cure enough so they bubbled up and ended up popping the next morning in class so I got black nail polish every where. Now I got them redone in hopes that that was just a fluke. These are my nails today. Almost all of them are chipped or cracked. This is Gel! Mine usually last up to three weeks! I will be taking my business elsewhere. I also feel bad for the ladies that came in with me. They had an appointment and waited thirty minutes before eventually leaving because the people there accepted walking before doing their nails. Poorly run business and poor quality nails jobs! read more

This nail bar is a good in concept and should be a relaxing place for pampering, not pain. Yesterday that changed to a painful experience based on my visit there with my friends. we experienced terrible service from nail technicians. It was obvious nail technicians are not trained in proper nail care and gel manicure application. I want to caution anyone from going this nail bar. The staff was rough on my strong nails and rude and left my manicure with a burning sensation that has lasted more than 24 hours. I will not be patronizing this business establishment as they gouged me by over charging me for the same service as my friend. I am a local and get my nails done on a regular basis. read more

I was looking for a new salon and saw Nail Bar's grand opening sign. I walked in just to check out the prices and the location. I was warmly greeted by the owner Kimmie. I told her I was looking for a new salon and that I might bring my daughter and come back another day. Three weeks later we walk in and Kimmie greeted me with a "You came back, and you brought your daughter.".. That sold me right there. The reason for the change is that I've had terrible luck with both regular and gel nail polish. Regular polish lasts 1 day and gel was lasting 3. I don't know what the difference is but I have been to the Nail Bar twice, so far, and I am going back today or tomorrow for a color change and I could not be any happier with the service or the product! The place looks amazing and clean but I guess the only downfall was the service we received from some of the staff. Granted, I came with a bunch of ladies, because we were celebrating with a girlfriend of our's who was about to get married, and some of the staff was plainly letting us know how annoyed they were of us because 4 out of 7 girls were running five minutes behind schedule..Especially mine in particular. During the pedicure process, she was quiet and did a good job but when it was time to do my gel manicure...I showed her a picture to copy..and I said I wanted a silver glitter color on both nails. Instead, she paints it with a greenish glitter color and I cringe but silently put up with it. I gained courage after a girlfriend of mine told me to say something if I'm not happy with it..so I did..then the manicurist got really upset! She told me that would be the last time she would change it and that's it!..So, I said OK..was it so bad that I spoke up? I was gonna drop more than $60 that day..so I felt I need to be happy with the end results. And I was...it was just unfortunate that I had to deal with an upset manicurist at the same time. Other than that though, and the guy who told another friend of mine that it was too late to do gel, we received excellent and friendly service. And the place looks amazing in photos! read more

I love everything about this place! I haven't been able to find a quality, decently priced nail salon that I want to frequent on a regular basis in Sonoma County until now! This review is based on the pedicure, manicure and lip wax that I got today. When you walk in, you choose your nail color and then proceed to sit down in the pedicure chair. They bring you a menu where you choose the type of mani/pedi that you want as well as your lotion preference (I chose mango) and beverage choice. The complimentary beverages you can choose from are water, soft drinks or wine. They were meticulous when doing my nails, took their time and I don't think I've ever had a hand/foot massage as long as this one. Usually places do a rushed, half ass job on this part, but not Nail Bar! I felt so relaxed and everyone there was so nice!! The lip wax was standard (you can't really get fancy with a lip wax, can you?), but the bed was nice and the room was comfortable. I wish this new business much success and can't wait to go back again! read more

Not that long ago I came here with a friend to get our nails done. It was my first time at Y.O.U.R…read more Beauty and Nails. I wanted a regular polish pedicure and manicure. The pedicure was great, no complaints at all, but the manicure was not that good. First, the polish application was too thick (I think it was at least three layers of nail polish ), so it started lifting and peeling really quickly. Not a huge fan of that. Second, I was not very pleased with the cuticle removal process. Quite a bit was was left behind, so that part of the service felt a little rushed. For my friend, when she was getting her pedicure they accidentally used the wrong color on one of her feet, so they had to start the process all over again since the gel had already set. To their credit, they fixed it without complaint and they were very apologetic about it. For her manicure, she wanted acrylics, and it seemed like the first technician who started the set didn't really know how to do it, so she waited for another employee to be available and switched with her. Overall, the employees were all very nice, the prices are affordable and the place looks well kept. P.S. They do charge a 3% fee if paying with a credit card, but they also have a fee-free ATM inside. Also, they get very busy, so I would recommend making an appointment rather than walking in.

The place was totally dead on a Saturday afternoon, which felt like a bit of a red flag…read more I walked in anyway since my usual nail spot couldn't accommodate a walk-in. I was greeted warmly and quickly invited to sit down for the pedicure I requested. The technician was very thorough when trimming extra skin and cuticles, which I usually appreciate, but this time it felt a little too aggressive. She tugged at areas that could turn into ingrowns, and a few of my toes started bleeding. Definitely not ideal. When she sprayed the alcohol on them I could tell almost all were cut by the burning it induced. The leg massage was just okay, with light pressure (about what I expect from a standard pedicure). What surprised me was that they used cuticle oil instead of lotion or scrub for the massage, not what I'm used to, but not a dealbreaker. The atmosphere didn't help either, the salon was completely empty, half the lights were off, and there was no music, so the whole experience felt a little off from start to finish. Overall, everything was fine, and I appreciated being taken as a last-minute walk-in, but because of the rough cuticle work, I probably won't be back.

First off I'd like to say that I'm only giving this 2 because I liked my nails! They were very nice. However, the girl talks to everybody there and says she's 'in charge' it's going to ruin it for everybody! She's not only rude but she's caddy, meticulous and obnoxious. She doesn't care how rude she is to people and goes out of her way to say that she's 'in charge' when she IS NOT THE owner of the establishment! If I was the owner of the establishment I would kick her ass out just as fast as I can throw that garbage in the dumpster behind the place! You won't have business for a long with people like that! Everybody else seems to be afraid of what she's going to say next. During our experience she harassed her coworkers and annoyed them consistently asking them questions about stuff that was none of her concern. And she proceeded to harass the customers, without introducing herself. Which is probably the smartest thing she did. Because that's why we don't know her name. But I'm sure after reading this you know EXACTLY who were talking about! And after calling back to speak to the actual owner she refused to allow us to do so unless she knew every detail. So she chose to hang up on a customer who wasn't even being rude to her! How's that for customer service?! It sounds like she needs a class on how to treat customers and on personal etiquette. The rest of the nice staff is suffering because of her attitude. Next time you say 'ok BYE' instead of being courteous to your customers, remember that they will spread the word about how you really are! The person who owns your establishment put so much work into making your place nice. It's such a sad thing when one rotten apple ruins the whole pile! I'd be checking out that dumpster if I were you......... I'm just keeping it real! Don't let someone ruin your business and embarrass you if you don't have to! read more

I have recently visited the nail bar as it was recommended to me by a friend and I am exceptionally happy with my experience. They were very busy (I came on a Friday evening) but they still made time for me and treated me very well despite not having and appointment ( I recommend that you do). Although the services that the nail bar are a bit on the pricier side, it is so worthy! They offer 20 minute massages, adult drinks, any choice of scented lotions. I love the way nails turned out. They gave me exactly what I asked for. Staff was very friendly and made me feel very comfortable. Offering wine and mimosas is a huge plus! All in all, great service and people, I will definitely be back soon! read more

Place was great!! Clean and the people were very nice. Needed a long fill with no notice, called and was told to come right down at 6:30pm! Kimmy did an amazing job on my nails with out any correction or guidance needed. Pink and white long fill and my nails are long so they needed to be the correct length, width, shape and thickness. I told her how I wanted them in the beginning (I'm very picky) and that was all that needed to be said. Just relaxed with my complimentary glass of wine. Will definitely be back. read more

Went in to get a new gel set and service was horrible. I kept wondering where my person went. When I got up to use the restroom (not knowing where it was) I opened the wrong door and there was a man inside and flipped out when he saw me try to enter. After that, he kept watching me. I am writing this review on behalf of myself and a friend of mine who came on a separate day…read more Back in March me and a friend came to get pedicures and manicures. In the past I remember it being a relaxing event, you sit in a massage chair and read a magazine or look on your phone or have a nice conversation with your friend while they did a pedicure. When we went they treated me like I was a NASCAR at a pit stop. First we got there early so we could look at nail colors but they rushed us right into the chair, I wanted to paint my nails green for St Patrick's and they didn't have a very good selection like they used to, was also planning on getting gel nails done but when I asked for the book of options they now have downsized it to barely anything and it's only one of each color. No sparkle no glimmer just boring. This caused us to have to pay 10 extra dollars more than we wanted to so we could get this new metallic fingernail powder. While I was sitting I was trying to have a conversation my friend but I found it hard to do as they kept grabbing my hands and moving my feet around and trying to get me to get all my nails done at once. There is no relaxation, I felt very rushed. They weren't even that busy. The cost came out a lot more than I planned, never had I spent this much money on getting nails done, not even for my wedding. The second review is based on what happened with my friend when she came there a couple weeks ago. She had made an appointment, we got there on time and there was only three people working. They were all busy, and were taking in more people than they should had. My friend wasn't put into pedicure chair until 25 minutes after her appointment, they got the water set up but then left her there soaking for 25 more minutes. In this time more people were coming in, and instead of doing the right thing and let him know it was going to be at least an hour wait they had them sit down. There were three extra people who were just walk-ins, who were waiting at least an hour before being served when they could have just went somewhere else but the people working there I guess really wanted the money. Almost an hour later they finally got started on my friend, finished her pedicure and then told her she had to wait for someone to finish her manicure. That was about another 15 minutes or so. We were both very annoyed, she made the appointment, but I guess that doesn't matter. They apologized for making her way so long, and stated that weekends were their most busiest. We get that but like I said she made an appointment and she still had to wait an hour before being served, and the fact that they kept letting walk-ins come in causing them to have to wait an hour or so before being helped themselves when they could have been kind and given them a idea of how long of a wait it would be. To us it's very inexcusable. We used to love coming here, it had more of a relaxing atmosphere, didn't seem like a push for upsale. Unfortunately we will not be coming back. The prices are definitely more affordable than most places but if we're going to be rushed, and treated like our time doesn't matter, then this isn't the place for us. Each to their own, hopefully other people have better experiences.
