I went here with family and this is a place she goes regularly. They welcomed her and me and were ready for us. We had appointments and they helped us right away. My nail technician was very meticulous and did a great job. My only complaint is she never checked on me once she sat me at the dryer. After 15 minutes I asked if I was done and she said yes. I would say I wouldn't recommend this business to anyone else because they gave me the worst rings of fire. I noticed this after getting a new set by my regular nail tech. The nails themselves were cute, but my nail was crying for help once they came off. I guess appointments don't matter .. we had 130 manicures made the week prior and 1:50 and only one of us is getting a manicure. The owner begins manicure on a very young child instead of attending to me. When someone came to do my nails, my friend was almost done. We had requested for specific service but owner no longer "was able to do service" she said she could do prior. After saying i was going to pass on my service - the owner called a woman over to start my manicure the woman who began trimming my nails was unsure and having difficulty cutting the first nail. So I pulled away and again said never mind. The owner was not happy- but still doing service on a child and speaking her language angrily to the woman doing my service. My friend - an elderly woman - did not get her cuticles done, did not get lotion on her hands and arms, did not get a massage or warm towels. Was this because they overbooked? Because I refused my service 35 mins later? When I tried to talk to owner- instead of a simple apology she was argumentative and hostile. She gave excuses for several of my concerns - mostly spinning on me. Interesting when I posted on my personal Facebook nearly a dozen locals also said horrible experiences there as well. I've been looking for a good place in town that doesn't disappoint and a good gel polish that doesn't chip. I have finally found a place that I like and can always fit me in when it's last min. Su always does an amazing job on my nails and kills it with the art! Okay, so, I've seen so many different reviews some good and some bad. I really don't mind if my nail tech doesn't talk to me at all because that doesn't bother me. I actually go to the salon to relax and if they talk to me cool and if not cool. I've never had a bad interaction with any of the staff at all and no one has been rude to me. Sometimes I have to wait to be seen and I honestly don't mind but I do make an appointment and have never just walked in and expected to be seen right away. Sometimes it does feel rushed when I have gone on a busy day but I don't make a big deal of it and will let them know if I have an issue. All in all they have been a great place to me and I appreciate all the staff and do recommend Gem nail to my family and friends. I also like that I can get my browser waxed there too! read more

But I've been coming here since May and the ppl who do my nails, NEVERRRR miss. Look at the pictures and tell me if you disagree. Anyways, I always call in to book an appointment within a day or two. They're very flexible and accommodating. I remember having to reschedule from my Saturday 3:30 pm appointment to 5 pm (keep in mind they close at 6 pm on the weekends) and they did it for me I always ask for Sue or Jackie. Both of them are AMAZING at what they do. They pay attention to the little details and never rush. They check in throughout the process to see if you're satisfied and if not they'll fix it without hesitation. There was a day they had Jennie do my toenails (when Sue wasn't available) & her pedicure work is AMAZING & spot on too. From my experience I've always left this place feeling boujee and cute. i got a terrible pedicure over at palm nails spa in windsor - they cut all my nails unevenly, slanted, crooked, and the lengths of each toe nail was inconsistent. the paint looked scratched and unevenly done. some toe nails were painted more than others with lots of coats of nail polish. when i showed up to gem nails, they could instantly see how terribly my nails were done. they ended up fixing the bad job that the other spa did. i love this nail spa. the service is great and they nail techs are detail oriented. i will return :)) read more

NOT a Gem. Visiting my friend in Windsor, we went to this salon but I have to say it was the worst mani pedi I have ever had. My esthetician was very unfriendly and gave me the worst massage by rushing through it. It very perfunctory and was far from a relaxing massage that I have had at other salons. He also didn't seem to understand me when I had one simple request. Twice I had to pull my hand away when he started to do a part of the manicure that I don't do soaking my hand and cutting my cuticles. I feel badly leaving this review as it was a place my friend recommended but I really think that the level of service was sub par and people would receive better service going elsewhere and that the owners of this place should review the service they provide and improve upon it. read more

The atmosphere in the salon is disorganized and chaotic, and all they want is to have customers in and out with zero concern for the quality of their job. The nail color on the sample palette didn't match the actual color (it turned out it showed gel polish instead of regular polish) and when I asked for a different color the owner didn't try to help me find the right color, but suggested I go to a different salon next time. Obviously, customer satisfaction is not their priority. If you respect yourself, settle only on the best, and don't like feeling like an item on an assembly line, listen to the owner's advice and go to another nail salon. read more

I love coming here to unwind and catch up with my girlfriend. They are truly the best at nails. Cindy does my nails perfect every time and I love Vivi's pedicure treatment. I'm not a fan of this salon. I feel like they are talking about you the entire time in their language. The lady that did my nails didn't seam to want to and she put far too much chemicals on my feet, which are quite honestly still burning me. She was barely wanting to touch my feet, making faces, rolling her eyes and for me it was an awful and humiliating experience. She also burned me several times once with water in the foot bath, the second with paraffin wax and the third with hot towels. She did not ask me if something was too hot she just subjected me which caused burns. On my way out the owner reprimanded me telling me that i needed to come more often but I just had my nails done 4 weeks ago. I wear sandals so they just had some callouses and dirt. I tipped her $20 on top of the cost of the pedicure but my family unfortunately won't be back. I just cannot subject myself to that treatment again. I appreciate the hard work but I really do not appreciate how I was treated, especially the technical parts such and burning me and using too much chemicals. read more

This is my place. They do a great job!! Services include: nails, pedicure, hair styling/cuts, eye lash extensions, and waxing. They'll do the dip manicure, gel, regular, acrylic - you name it. I'm so glad I found this place, it's clean, they are always accommodating, very friendly and priced well. They have several chairs for nails and also for pedicures so they can work on several people at once. I get the dip on my nails and it's $40 for that and a manicure. My sister and I decided to check the salon out since they opened 3 months ago. She got a gel manicure with two designs and I got a pedicure. Both were good so I came back the following day to get a gel manicure. A younger woman did my manicure and was incredibly rough with my hand, despite me pulling my index finger back several times to keep my injured knuckle away from her rough massages. She seemed to get the hint and left that one finger alone until she had a hot rag and practically scrubbed the scab off my knuckle. That being said, she left nail polish around my nails and she took action at removing her mistakes herself but missed an area under my thumb. I pointed it out after for her to remove and she ended up just cutting the nail polish and skin off with her tool. Thankfully, the area around the tips of my nails are fairly callused from frequent manicures so it wasn't painful. At payment, she charged me 33$ for a gel manicure. I told her that just the day before, an older woman, maybe the owner?, had charged my sister 33$ for a gel manicure with 2 designs and told her that the 3$ were for the designs. I had been charged 30$ for my pedicure. If a gel manicure was 33$, I wouldn't have cared it was just inconsistent with what my sister had been charged the day before. When I told her this she said "some people wrong" It's unfortunate because this is not the best way to start a business. read more

They use the best quality products and my nails last about 1 month , and pedicures even longer. I love that they keep their appointments and get me right in.
