The other thing that was bothering me was I wasn't sure how hygienic their tools were. Usually when I go to nail salons, technicians would pull out sanitized wrapped tools but here, he kept pulling them out of his drawer, no wraps no nothing. This was by far the worst "pedicure" I've ever had. My nails were already short, but the tech didn't file them. The foot scrub was a whopping 9 seconds on each foot followed by what felt like an attack on my claves. This guy jammed his middle finger and thumb into my legs so hard, it was very painful. I can't imagine anyone could consider that a massage. He painted my toes and one chipped almost completely off 3 days later. Awful, awful experience. Do NOT recommend. read more

WROST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! I am beyond disappointed with my experience here. I will absolutely never be coming back. First of all, I was cut TWICE during my appointment to the point where I was actively bleeding. She wiped my bloody finger with the dust brush that is used on other clients as well!!!! It was painful and completely unacceptable. A nail appointment should not feel rushed and painful. I asked THREE separate times if she could please make my nails more pointy. Somehow, she managed to make only a few of them pointy while the others were different shapes entirely. They are literally uneven and mismatched. I also clearly told her the length I wanted, and she ignored that too and cut them much shorter than I asked for. At that point, it felt like she was just doing whatever she wanted instead of listening to me. They did not do any nail prep, there was no visible sanitation procedures, all of there tools looked very unsanitary!!! To top it all off, my nails look NOTHING like the picture I showed her. And then I was charged $82 for this mess. I paid $82 to bleed, be ignored, and leave with unevenly shaped nails that I don't even like. Save your money and go somewhere that is actually sanitary and listens to their clients!!!!! read more

They offer beverages and talk to you instead of just each other. I was super comfortable and I absolutely LOVE the job she and Kevin did on my nails! I explained I would like to have double the thickness ( construction worker here) and I don't want them breaking constantly . I wanted the OG nails from the 2000's. Not sharp, not short, not narrow. Man did I get the best nails or what!? I am so happy! I will be back for regular services from the nail bar again in a few weeks and until I am no longer in this area. They started interrogating me and questioning me about how much money I spend on my eyelash extensions and then giving me their opinions about what I do with my finances. Considering I'm a customer coming there for service I thought that was a very personal and inappropriate comment. I'm a cosmetologist for a living but I do hair, but in the state of California we are licensed to do nails and know the state violations. This salon is filthy. Each pedicurist has their own handled shower tote with their tools and products inside of it. The tools aren't sealed in a "clean" container so there is no way to ensure that they are clean. I chose the second from the most expensive pedicure (gel hangOVA) but asked her to not do the callus eliminator as I have incredibly sensitive skin. Well, she did it anyway. When i questioned what she was doing she said it wasn't the callus eliminator and was something else, but who would know since the bottles aren't labeled? Anyways, my heels are totally inflamed and i can't stand for long on my feet, which is an issue for my profession. I won't return. read more

Nails look good in the picture right? Don't let that decieve you though. They're super flimsy and thin and feel like they could break by a little bit of extra pressure. I went with my sister (I just got acrylic gel set, my sister got gel mani and pedi) and they sat me down at the bar. A guy came up to me and just nonchalantly threw the pallet of gel colors they had in front of me. He was obviously in a rush and before I could even pick up the pallet he took my hand and started immediately e-filing my nails. No greeting or smile just went straight to work. It was all okay with me except when he started putting the acrylic on. He used one bead for the whole nail instead of 3 (I know nail Techs will use three for the integrity and durability of the nail to prevent breaking and so the nails stay on for a long time without lifting). When he had finished with the acrylic he went in with a different tip on the e-file and went to town. He was in such a rush, it burned from the friction. I kept saying ow and letting him know it was hurting but he kept the same pace. In the picture there is a cut on my middle finger and thats from him filing my skin. After he finished with the file and buffing he put the gel color on (2 coats and top coat) then just put the stuff away and immediately walked away. He approached another woman there with his kit then greeted her and asked her how her day was. When it came time to pay, they charged us $140 (thats the most my sister and I have ever paid for such a mediocre job with less than exceptional service). My sister left a $10 tip to covering the two girls who did her nails (although they were nicer to her, the gel didn't reach the base of her nails so thet already looked grown out). And the lady scolded us and gave us a mean look. The service was BAD. The nails look pretty because of the color. I would 100% go somewhere else for better durability and service. I know of a lot of other places who have the same array of colors and have a better overall experience. read more

Got my nails done for my cousins wedding made an 9:30 appt the day before. 4 walk in people were seated before us, even though WE were the ones with the appt anyway we waited an extra 10 minutes not a big deal but started To get annoyed they would seat people before us. The man doing my nails was very nice and interacting which is why I wish I could give more than 1, however he messed up my nails by a long shot. As we were leaving and I was backing up the car this lady ran out and said I MISSED tipping a lady . She then told me I must stay and figure it out . Clean and friendly and so so lovely inside. I got a mani pedi, the mani with gel and the pedi "on the rocks" and my feet hours later still feel like relaxed mush. I wear shoes that are cute but bad for my feet, and they were in need of attention and love. Worst pedicure ever took twice as long than it needed to just because The person was painfully slow mind you I only had two hours to get in and get my son. I paid for extra services and it did not appear that the extra services were done it really sucks because post Covid it's very challenging for me to get into the salon and get a pedicure I've been looking forward to this pedicure for over 2 weeks when I have childcare to come, for this crappy pedicure it was horrible. Now I remember why I haven't come back, and so many people say not to go there. I wanted to love it but the service sucks, painfully slow... mind you there was only 1 other customer at most of the time so it was not that they were busy. I used to look forward to coming to Nail Bar after a long day just to pamper myself... but now it's the LAST place I would ever want to get my nails done now. Over time I've noticed that certain nail techs have become unmotivated and sloppy with their work and that's concerning and sad. The staff were always friendly... but some of the nail techs act very annoyed with you and/or rush through the appointment just so you can leave. I've attached a photo of the nails I showed as an example to the woman and then what I received. I asked for just a matte cream color with golden star designs for my birthday celebration I was having later that night; (I ended up having to hide my hands that entire night because of the scary nail job that was done). Anyways, the nail tech was in a rush to finish my nails, but there were NO other customers in the building. The entire process for the NEW set of ACRYLIC nails was less than 15 minutes. She kept yanking my hand towards her when she was filling the nails down and slapping my hand out of her way. I noticed that the nail on my pointer finger was literally pointing in another direction - it was crooked. I mentioned that to her twice and she said "no it's fine" and then she ignored me the second time. The actual acrylic was stuck all around the skin of my nails and was very tough to pull off. Also the nails were so THICK and bulky. Now let's talk about the real issue... When I walked up to the counter, they had the audacity to say "so pretty!" and "they're so cute!" but they knew that was a lie. Then the receptionist said that the nails would be EIGHTY FIVE DOLLARS. $85 for the 15 minute process of disappointment. I paid and she said "no tip?" and I just couldn't believe it. I used to LOVE nail bar and I would tell all of my friends, family, and coworkers to go there, but now I tell them to find another place. Nail Bar has been losing their pride of the business over time now and I wish that would change. So I went home and grabbed a nail file and shaved it ALL down, it was so embarrassing to look at and a huge waste of $85.
