This place has been open for just two weeks according to the manicurist that I had. But I'm so impressed by their service. It has great decor resembling a trendy bar and they even serve complimentary wine. I tried the white wine, had a mani pedi in a great massage chair, they give you a heated neck pad and you get to choose from a huge list of scented lotion for your pedicure massage. Rude!! The guy was rude, got up in the middle of doing my pedicure to go smoke. Came back and I couldn't stand the cigarette smoke smell. He barely said 2 words to me. He cheated me out of what I originally asked for done and paid for. When I questioned it, he got really aggravated. He did an "okay" job on pedicure. I then had a lady do my nails, she did a horribly job. They were all shaped different. Some were longer and some were shorter. The paint looked like a 2nd grader did it. ( no offense to a 2nd grader). The lady next me was also complaining about her nails to the lady doing hers. They were all rude and unprofessional. I will never go back again. 9 of us went in with appointments. My personal experience was not fabulous. The cost was ridiculous for a full set of pink and whites that not only didn't look consistent at all, but she only had to apply the acrylic to my natural nails. She was so busy looking around I'm surprised they came out at all. A couple of the pink acrylic spots are so thin that it is chipping off already after 2 days. Entirely too expensive. On the other hand my Daughter had a full set done by a gentleman that was working there and they look gorgeous. read more

I have been to the Nail Bar twice now since their grand opening. I absolutely love this place! The people are all very friendly and attentive to your needs. The Nail Bar is very clean, trendy and relaxing. The menu options are plenty. They have tons of colors (both polish and gel) to choose from, the massages are excellent and the job is done very well. I have to say it is a beautiful salon very hip vibe, but that is nothing compared to the wonderful service that I have been getting every single time I have gone. Clean, comfortable and relaxing. My niece brought me here for a gel mani, which I haven't done in like 2 yrs, and I loved this place. We didn't have an appointment and only waited about 10 min to be seen which was nice. This is my favorite nail salon ever!!! I always treat myself to a pedicure every two weeks and have done that for years now. There's nothing better than a good pedicure after a long work week. I started coming here after a friend recommended me to them because they serve wine! I don't get how every other salon doesn't serve wine because it's genius in my opinion!! WOW, I am shocked by how terrible my experience here was. I had an appointment with my mom to get pedicures and we met up with a couple friends. The pedicures were awful: there was nail polish on our skin and half of each of our nails were not even painted...its like they missed the sides. My cuticles were never trimmed, my nails were never cut or filed and I felt like I was inconveniencing them by just being there. It was extremely uncomfortable. Afterward, you could see different layers/brush strokes and chunks of polish. We were disappointed but thought the place was cute and they had nice decorations, an extensive menu of services and a complimentary drink, we so weren't too upset by how bad the polish looked. BUT THEN our friend who had gone with us called to say that when she left she noticed that her gel manicure was uneven, the nails were trimmed crooked and the polish wasn't painted on her entire nail, so she went back in to ask to have it fixed and they told her she needed to call "her friends" (my mom and I) because we didn't pay. Five minutes prior, we had paid with cash and left cash tips for each of our manicurists and we have receipts to prove it. I am so disappointed that this all happened. I can handle a crappy paint job-I can fix it at home...but how dare someone accuse my mother and I of "dining and ditching" in front of all of the customers, especially after we handed the money to the same girl who then accused us of not paying! I was going in for a fill and the lady that did my nails was in such rush (or so it seemed). She did such a sloppy job. My nails are uneven and not filed correctly. Love this place! Very clean and modern. You can tell the owner took a lot of time and effort in the design and layout of the salon. I like that they have plenty of staff and everyone is so nice there. I was greeted as soon as I walked in by the receptionist who explained their menu of services since it was my first time. She also offer me a glass of wine which was delicious after a long day. I got gels and was shocked and how many options and colors they had. I got my nails done here about a month ago with an acrylic fill and gel polish by Ivy. She was very rushed and running all over the place, didn't seem to care much about your experience. It seemed pretty unsanitary when I walked in and sat down with acrylic dust everywhere and a lot of sanitary products open. She hurt me numerous times and even when I tried to pull away from the pain she would pull back. She did my nails in about 20 minutes when it normally would take about 45 minutes. I was pretty surprised it was so short and was weary about that but they looked great afterwards so I didn't complain much. About a week later, my middle finger nail and another bail on my other hand fell off (I usually can go about a month without a nail falling off). Needless to say, I won't be going back. Terrible! I wanted to cry today 12/31/17 after she was done with my nails. Kim the owner is very gifted, talented smart young woman who unfortunately is letting making money getting on the way of providing good services or " serving/sharing with the world gods guft, the real meaning in life that leads to genuine happpiness. My negative experiences in Nai Bar with Kim the owner: I have been in Nai Bar 2 times and both times my nails were done by kim the owner. The first time I went the one located in Windsor on 10/2017. The day I went I was looking for some one to take me in without an appointment....and my hair dresser recommended her....She said appointment are not needed there. My hairdresser called and She confirmed that the owner kim will be doing my acrylic nails and the design colors I wanted. Kim did for the most part all the work and had her staff helped her finalzing the acrylics part . I asked her to do the nail design. She did. I showed her the picture of the design of nails upon my arrival..she came back with the colors. My only bad experience that day was at the very end...when she attempted to send me away without finishing the design because more people was coming in and she appeared to want to finish quickly with me and wanted take care of them..I pointed out to her that I was feeling rushed....(she said we were done and when the painting on my nails was not completed, the last part of the design the was the nice touch). I asked her to finish the job nicely. And she did but did not like to be confronted with her disrespecful and uncaring services. When she was done she made sure to sent someone to the cashier to make sure to increase my dress by 20 dollars. I did not mind paying more because I was happy with my nails, the job was done properly. I paid 50 dollars for acrylic nails with gel and 20 for the design. I did not mind paying 70 dollars total. The second time was today, 12/30/2017. I went to her store in Petaluma. This time I took my time to call early to make an appointment hoping I will be able to have a more relax time because I do not like being rush. i made an appointment at 1pm and I the job with Kim started at 2 15 pm. I was approached by her receptionist asking me to pick the colors while I was waiting. I told her that I would pick the colors but wanted Kims input as an artist to make sure I picked the correct colors as the picture. When Kim finally came to do my nails. She asked me if I had picked my colors. I repeated to her that I did but I wanted her input to make sure the colors were very close to the picture. She did not like it. I saw it on her face. She started The work. I assumed that since they gave me that tray-color to pick the colors I wanted to use, they will have those colors available....but when Kim was ready to apply the colors; she was informed by her receptionist that they did not have the colors I picked. Kim asked me to pick more colors and all 3 brown colors I picked they did not have........again I felt rushed by her...I picked what she had available....when I told her that the details did not look the same she said...SORRY I DO HAVE THOSE COLORS EITHER. I left her place with another design but mine....I hated the colors, the end design....she appeared to be angry upon my arrival and ready to tell me that she is not interested in my services. I wish I trusted my intuition from the very beginning but now I know and I plan to never coming back. Kim is pregnant....and I became concerned her unborn child was being exposed to chemicals. I made a comment to her that wearing a mask may protect her unborn baby from inhaling those chemicals... She ignored my comment. She was very unkind.... read more

This is a fun spot to get your nails done, but when the owners are not there, it is absolute chaos. Every appointment always included a minimum half hour wait. One time, it was a 50 minute wait, with an appointment. Thus, appointments are completely useless and when you speak-up about it, they are rude and make no effort to fix things. Management needs to staff accordingly or be honest with customers during high volume times. Actual nails can be hit or miss, with an air of annoyance when you ask them to fix a mistake. I will miss this place and the people, but will not be coming back. There are too many nail places out there to treat your regular customers so poorly. read more

I would give zero stars if I could... Hands down the worst manicure I've ever gotten. I called and made an appointment for two gel manicures, and a manicure/pedicure for my mom. The boy who helped us was very nice but everything else was a very poor experience. Our appointment was at 4:30, we sat down at about 4:45. I didn't mind the wait because it was busy, but nobody even touched my nails until at least 5:15. When they did, they kept repeating how my nails are so weak and the manicurist kept shaking her head. I acknowledged that they were weak and kind of laughed it off and she kept repeating herself and looking at me as if she wanted an explanation... I also told them that one of my nails was broken so please be careful. She was very rough with it and again, acted as if it was a huge inconvenience to her. Hello... Isn't this a nail salon? I'm sure they deal with these things daily. My friend, who had an appointment at the same time I did, didn't even get her manicure started until mine was completely done. The lady who was doing mine, kimmy, was extremely rushed and kept going back and forth between clients. She didn't file my nails at all, they were extremely rough and when I asked her to file them she was irritated but kept saying "I'm happy to do it I'm happy". She also didn't do a top coat on my gel manicure, except on the nail that she put acrylic glue on AFTER the color to fix the break. When I asked her to put the top coat on because I wanted my $37 manicure to last, she argued with me and said she already did but she was "happy to do it". When she finally finished, around 6:15, she said "you happy now?" No, not really because our manicure took almost 2 hours and it was terrible quality. The total time I spent sitting and waiting for someone to help me was probably an hour and a half out of the two hours we were there. I understand that they were busy, but they need to take in to account the reduced quality of their work by accepting too many clients at once. Everyone in there was waiting a ridiculous time, because there were limited manicurists. my mom got a manicure and pedicure. Her pedicure color was a light blue, so my mom asked for an extra coat to make it a bit darker, and they somehow lost the color she used in the few minutes between her manicure and pedicure??? For my moms manicure, she didn't want any color because she works with her hands a lot, so she asked just to have them filed and buffed (included in the manicure) and they for some reason charged her extra for the buff on her nails? Also, none of the nail equipment was wrapped, which leads me to believe it wasn't sterile. The "hot" towels (actually barely warm) smelled like mildew and like they had been reused. Very dirty and unsanitary practice. This review would have been much nicer if it wasn't for Kimmy's terrible and condescending attitude. Everyone else working there seemed very nice. This place is WAY overpriced and the quality is terrible. Save yourself time and money and go somewhere else. read more

Im not from the area & had saw this place on yelp & decided to give it a try. from the pictures of the salon it seemed like an okay place. When i walked in the receptionist was kind and sweet, very inquisitive and just trying to make conversation. I had only went in for a pedicure- the basic one. Positives-perfect water temp, multiple options for lotions/color, good cleaning, AMAZING massage portion. Negative-bad overall finished coating. Today was probably my fourth time coming to Nail Bar. All of my previous experiences were great. Today however, was not. I scheduled an appointment with my grandmother for her to get a pedicure and myself to get a manicure. My grandma got seated and they started right away. I was still waiting for gel nail swatches to look at. About six ladies walked in a few minutes later and all got helped before me. After the receptionist was done she proceeds to change the song before helping me. She finally says I can have a seat at the "bar". She then gives me the swatches to look at and takes my drink order. 10 minutes pass by and she's sitting in a chair so I go up to her and ask for my drink since she obviously had forgot. She gets up and gives it to me right away and then I am still sitting at the bar for another ten minutes waiting for someone to do my nails. The technician that did my grandmas toes was finished and then came over to do mine. She filed and put clear coat on and then LEFT to go start someone's pedicure. A few minutes later an unfriendly guy came to put my polish on. They both seemed rushed. The guy technician didn't make conversation and just was rude when he did say things. The previous times I came in, the technicians would give a minute or two massage. The one he gave me barely lasted 30 seconds. After that he said done. Um ok thanks? I went back to the receptionist to check out and she said how was everything? I told her my dissatisfaction and she said "I'm sorry we will consider that to improve our business". At the end of it all I was unhappy with being forgotten about and their disorganization. I will give nail bar one more chance of my business but if it's anything like today, I will never go back. read more

Third time I have been here. First time, the guy took his time and did a great job, even though he cut me pretty deep which took about a week to heal. Second time the lady did a decent job, but she didn't file down the sides. Third time was today, I call to let them know I would be about 5-10 minutes late. I heard the lady who answered the phone say why didn't they write this down. Hmmm ok, I arrived and was seated right away. Pedicure was ok. Nothing to great ($25). When it came to my full pink and white set I waited for about 15 minutes then a women put the nails on and walked away for about 15 minutes. I told her I needed my cuticles done. A guy comes back and finishes up but kept walking away. Then gossiped about how a co worker doesn't talk to him. He finished then the women cut my cuticles. That's all. The guy didn't check to see if my nails were even and they had lines ( which means he was in a hurry). Wasn't to happy about my experience and the wait. Got my bill and it was $90! $25 for toes, $55 for full set and $10 for cuticles total is $90!! Wtf every place includes that!!! They told me it was policy to charge for that. I hate long yelp reviews but damn it with passing me around and the cost I expected more! Yes they have music which is the same on the radio stations and cheep wine. If your gonna do a crappy service atleast get me drunk off the wine so I don't notice. I may try again, but over all very disappointed. read more

I have never taken the time to write a negative review, I usually only like to share when I have had an amazing experience but this was one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had. I have been two times before this and it was good, not great but good enough for me to return. Anyways, I went about a week ago for my birthday to spoil myself because I do that so rarely but it was absolutely awful. I called the day before to schedule an appointment which went fine. I show up about ten minutes early in hopes I can pick my color from the gel selection. They were packed and kept having people walk in whom didn't have appointments that they took before me even though they were overwhelmed and busy. Anyways, I finally sat down to get my gel acrylics done and the women asks me rudely four times what color I want, I kept telling her she hasn't shown me so I don't know and she kept rolling her eyes and grunting. Next, she was taking off my nail polish and said "eww, how many layers did you put on?" I let her know I only put one and it was a thick polish, (even if I put 50 layers that was rude and unprofessional) and when I answered her she laughed and looked at me as if I lied. During my appointment she was rushing, and very rough with my hands. This is probably because she was answering the phone about 12 times and telling everyone they could come in and they had time which by the looks of it wasn't true and she was wasting peoples time by saying she could take them and these people waited much longer then she said the wait would be. My next complaint is that when she was having my hands dry under the black machine she slammed it down hard on my thumb and then said "what, something the matter?". I was so shocked that I said nothing. Lastly, I found out a couple hours later that a friend had called to pay for my appointment and they told her they knew who I was and they would charge her card. This in fact didn't happen and I'm not sure how they would've known since all I gave them was the name "Sam", which is very common, they shouldn't have told her they would do it and then not done it. The whole experience was very unprofessional and disappointing which was such a shame because I rarely go and I was so excited for my birthday. I will never be returning here and I recommend people look elsewhere. read more

The worst nail experience. Made an appointment with my mom for 4:30 they told us it would be a 20 min wait because of walk ins. There was also 2 girls waiting for their 430 appointment next to us. Finally at 6 they take us, the nail techs were extremely rude and didn't make you feel comfortable. They don't listen to what you have to say and we're talking about clients the whole time. My nails came out decent but my moms seem like the lady didn't even try and she knew they looked bad but didn't care. Also they think you don't notice when they use dirty implements but we do. I really dont like to bad mouth businesses as i know how difficult it is.... but i am very unhappy with my pedicure.. i read the reviews and decided to give it a try since it has great rating since my usual pedicure lady has gone to Vietnam for a month... besides the unique atmosphere comparing to other nail places, this place is nothing worth talking about..... they offer cheap wine which I didn't mind because it is a nail salon and not a bar...however the pedicure was as bad.... i had been getting pedicures done every few weeks for the past 7 years and i know an avarage pedicure takes about 30 minutes....my pedicure lasted 20 minutes, not to mentioned i paid for an upgrade pedicure that costs $60.... the tech didn't even hear me as I request for my nails to be rounded as she was too busy talking to her coworker in their foreign language....i actually had to tell her a couple of times.....it was very uncomfortable.. BTW, did I mention they did not only polished my toe nails but all my toes also...paint job was horrible.... it was all over my cuticles.....overall, it was a big disappointment.... Very disappointed in this place. Wanted to try a new place, when I walked in the smell of nail chemicals hit me hard, I actually started coughing. It was very chaotic and noisy, not very relaxing to me. I did like the menu and how I could choose what I wanted. They were quick to give me a drink of my choice, however my daughter (who was getting a manicure ) wasn't offered anything and they seemed to ignore her, as if a young preteen wasn't worth their effort. I sat getting my pedicure as she waited and waited patiently. She was finally offered a drink but not a glass of ice or a straw as I was.. The pedicure I chose was nice and my daughters nails look nice but I am not at all impressed and we will not be returning. read more
