I ordered the al pastor bowl - pork atop mounds of rice, beans, cheese, lettuce etc. I paid a dollar extra for guacamole. (It was worth it). I didn't love the al pastor; I found the flavor to be bland. I typically order al pastor for the exciting pineapple taste but this pork had no sweet flavor, unfortunately. This place is great!!! It's pretty small, but my boyfriend and I were able to snag seats at one of the larger tables. We ordered a chicken tostada and beef tostada to share, and I got the chorizo burrito. The wait for the food was super reasonable. Although we were hungry, we definitely did not need to order the tostadas. The burrito was really big. The tostadas were also a decent size, too, so my boyfriend had to help me finish my half of the food. The tostadas were really good! They're super messy, but that just makes the food experience more fun in my opinion. The chorizo burrito was delicious as well. When I took my first bite, chorizo oil started flowing down my hands, so prepare yourself for that. I love the ingredients they put inside the burrito! The number of times I have eaten in person and gotten delivery is an unlawful number, BUT this means I got some tips on my preferences for the where and when. For here: I am partial to the al pastor on anything here, but there is nothing like a fresh burrito when I decide to stop by in person. Seating is limited, but there are consistently a spot or two open when super busy, so if you seize the opportunity and show up, GET A BURRITO. I appreciate that the burrito is packed to the brim, but I can still pick up the whole thing and eat it with my hands! For some reason, I've found this to be a rarity in NYC as most burritos I've had come wet or poorly wrapped, so I have to eat with a fork and knife. While I am provided with a fork and knife here, oh no no, I will gladly use my bare hands to finish the job. In addition to the burrito, the tacos and quesadilla are quite a treat when dining in as well. As for the chips and guac--I know how expensive this delicacy is, but if you are feeling it as often as I always do, the chips and guac here will not disappoint! To go: The bowl. Go for the bowl. If you don't like filling sitting in your tortilla for more than 20 minutes as you wait for your food, just get the bowl. I'd say that's the tastiest and least hassle in the transportation. Surprisingly, the tacos, especially if you order batches of 2-3, and burritos come next in my rotation. Not as good as getting it fresh, but they're packaged super well and usually stay intact when delivered. The quesadilla is a hit or miss because there's just...no great way to package it without the juices drenching the tortilla. I'm not sure what goes on with the drinks for delivery because we did try to get Jarritos once but didn't receive it. Forgivable, I'd say for the number of times I've been by. It was so greasy, I ended up chucking remaining 2/3 out--waste of money. - Also ordered the buffalo wings (it's Super Bowl Sunday after all) but should've known better from a Mexican place. Chicken looks like it was boiled and then drenched in buffalo wing sauce. It wasn't even baked/crispy. Skin was more of a boiled texture. EWW. - They also charged me for CHOLULA packets. My bf and I ordered 1 grilled steak wheat burrito, 1 grilled steak taco, 1 al pastor taco, 1 carnitas taco, and macho spicy salsa and ships. Our whole order was simply delicious. All the different meats we had were well seasoned and flavorful. Each bite an explosion of flavor. The macho spicy salsa is not too spicy in my opinion, but good none the less. For $13-14 I would think they could afford to put a little more in. The flavor was ok, but the steak was also a bit over cooked and tough and chewy. I was debating whether i was being too tough, but honestly chipotle and dos toros have better steak burritos and they charge less. The fish tacos were good but my wife said they needed a bit more flavor. The kid quesadilla was standard. Really weird that nothing came with any extra side sauce or sour cream (we paid for a side of sour cream).
