The best of both worlds! I like the fact that this place has both vegan and non vegan options. It makes life a little bit easier when it comes to choosing where to eat with non friends. I went here after work at about 5:30ish. The place was not busy at all. Service was pretty good, there was a point when my friend's drinks were empty and took a while for a refill but other than that it was not too bad. I ordered the vegan chicken tacos, they were fire!! Oh and too spicy for my palate. The entree came with 2 tacos, beans and wild rice. I was a little disappointed because I wanted the traditional Mexican rice but oh well. My husband had the vegan chicken tacos. He said they were good while the chips were still crunchy and fresh but after a while they got soggy. My friend nachos as well and hers was the real deal, with real meat and everything...she said it was pretty good. We also had desert, she had the apple nachos which looked really good and was a HUGE portion. My husband and I shared churros with 3 dipping sauces...eh, I have had better churros elsewhere. I came here for dinner on a Monday night. The hostess was very friendly and got us seated right away. It took a while for our waitress to finally come over and greet us. But in her defense it was still happy hour and the restaurant was pretty busy. She started off by taking our drink orders and later circled back to our table to inform us that they were out of coke, so I substituted it for a sprite. After she dropped our drinks off, we took one sip of it and both agreed that there was a funny taste to it. Not sure what happened here but perhaps they need to clean out their machine or something but definitely didn't taste right. And it wasn't just the soda, the water did not taste good at all. As for food, we ordered the Carnitas nachos and Chicken enchiladas with green sauce. The carnitas nachos gets a thumbs up from me but the chicken enchilada was just ok. Dinner with family today! Started with a house Margarita! I always enjoy having one when I come in. Today it was a bit sweeter than usual. I had the mini Corn Street Tacos with shredded chicken. It comes with Refried beans and Mexican rice. It was delicious! I also had the Grilled Mexican corn off the cob as a side at the table. What made this side dish so yummy was the Cotija cheese and garlic Mayo!! My husband had the Spicy shrimp Nachos. He said it was really good and it had a nice kick to it! We had reservations for 32 and when we got there - no bueno. They have changed from their Happy Hour to another menu - and it was horrible. Happy Hour menu was on their website too. Questionable service. Food and drink prices are outrageous. They charge $18 for a Cadillac Margarita here and you can get that same drink at higher end Mexican restaurants for less. The ceviche appetizer is way overpriced for what you get. I can get triple the amount of food for the same price at el Toro y la Cabra or Lindo Michoacan for the same price and get better service and ambience. Wouldn't visit this establishment again. This is not your typical nacho place. They take traditional nachos and run them through the bedazzler and what you get is anything but ordinary. They have a really extensive menu. It looks like a phone book. They even have an entire page devoted to vegan food! I got the strawberry margarita and the Golden Knights Nachos. They are topped with a LOT of pickled peppers, sautéed mushrooms and mushrooms and diced beef tenderloin, diced tomatoes and scallions. So, if you are not a fan of peppers, you might want to steer clear. And for dessert I got their churros. The churros are much more than just curious. They are a collection of fried doughs with caramel, chocolate and raspberry sauce to dip in. It's really good and great to share with s a table full of friends. The atmosphere is really great. They play banging music with the likes of Evergreen, The Spin Doctors, Hole, The Smashing Pumpkins and other mid to late 80's music. They have lots of TV's so if you are looking for a place to catch a game, this place is perfect. The staff is friendly and efficient. Jazmine is tending the bar today and she does a great job of keeping busy but still keeping an eye out for the guests. A really great balance of work and hosting. The entire restaurant has an open feeling with only a half wall separating the bar area from the dining room. Exposed cement floors and brick walls leave the restaurant very loud. There are no soft surfaces to absorb any ambient noise. All in all this is a pretty good place. If you are looking for more cutting edge Mexican food than a traditional Mexican restaurant, this is a great place to check out. But just remember, this is only a Mexican place. If you are looking for the old joke of what do you get when you cross a soul food place with a Mexican restaurant? Nacho Daddy! This isn't that. But, it's still pretty darn good! read more

My daughter had the filet mignon burrito which literally had no meat in it and the most water down cheese I've ever seen shocking for a $27 burrito. My husband had the filet mignon quesadilla. The first fight he took was OK but the rest of it tasted like cinnamon cross contamination with something else I had the supreme tostada nachos with water down pico de gallo soggy chips just awful. The worst part about this visit is how sick we became on late Sunday night Monday and Tuesday my husband didn't go to work on Monday. Neither did I my daughter had to stay out of school because of the diarrhea from the food. I would never go back. I don't know how it gets so many great reviews probably for the bar but definitely not for the food. The family was hungry and my daughter begged to go to her favorite restaurant, Nacho Daddy. Although they were packed with customers, we were seated right away. Our server Anya, was amazing, awesome and wonderful. Our Mexican Pizza appetizer came out of the kitchen so quickly and as soon as we were done with that, our main courses were ready. The Nachos were amazing as always, however my wife had been dying to try the Chicken Fajitas and said that they were delicious and especially loved the fresh guacamole that came with the order. I just love being able to relax, watch the different sports games playing on the many different televisions screens and let the staff treat us like we were family. They have great decor in the restaurant, I especially loved the Golden Knights Jersey hanging on the wall. Have been eating here for years, went to a downtown location long time ago and then they built one on st rose parkway, closer to home. This is where I am writing this review. The restaurant, it's Saturday night 7:20 pm, is at 7:20 PM is slow here. More empty tables than full. Let me give you a customer point of view please. First of all for an order of surf nachos, the three dip side and the fillet tacos $ 70.00!! Not kidding. They discontinued the lobster crab offerings even though they show to be available online. So I called and they said they could make them, and on my way to pick up my food they said they could not. OK I will pick something else . Every single nacho offer in this menu is cheddar and jack cheese only. Nothing is white queso anymore, which was one of the huge catches to this place when it opened and it was very busy. We can get cheddar nachos from anywhere. The other thing I hoped to mention was they made my wife's food so it sits here getting cold while they're making my nachos instead of putting the whole order through at one time- so my food will be hot and by the time I get this home my wife's food will be cold. This place needs a restructure or something needs to change, it will not be in business much longer. On a positive note, so I don't just come across as a Karen, the ladies that work here were all very polite. They apologized for misleading me and the restaurant itself is very clean. I don't know really a lot about running a restaurant but I know full restaurant will stay in business and an empty restaurant does not. It's Saturday night. Nacho Daddy has to be my favorite addition to this area. I'm so glad I live pretty close to here. When my friend was in town, we were in the mood for some dinner and decided to hit up Nacho Daddy. I do wish they had a happy hour, but I've heard they are working on it. We came here around 6pm on a Monday and it wasn't crowded at all. We were seated pretty quickly. One of my favorite parts about this restaurant is that the bar area has those sliding glass doors that open all the way up. At night during the summer, it's probably a really great patio to hang out at! Definitely going to have to come back. Our waiter was great and took really good care of us. I ordered a margarita to drink. My friend is pregnant so I was drinking alone, but you can't not get one of their house margs when you're here... they're that good! We also ordered some guacamole, too. They ask you your heat level and since I'm a bit of a wimp when it comes to spicy food, we opted for the mild level. It was so delicious and fresh! For dinner, we ordered the same exact thing ha. We got the beer battered lobster tacos. It comes with a side of rice and beans, too. Two delicious tacos that are super filling! It was sooo good. They're probably some of my favorite tacos. They have a lot of options to select from to eat, like nachos, too. So definitely want to come back and get some tacos from here. Also, they are well known for their scorpion tequila shot! I've done it once before at their Downtown location, but didn't do it this time. This Nacho Daddy location is located in such a busy area. My work folks and I stopped in here one afternoon for a late lunch, and they were pretty busy. But they sat us very quickly, even though we were a party of 8. Our server, Wendy, was amazing! She was quick, friendly, and attentive to our table. She made sure we were all well taken care of.
