Let me start out by saying the only thing I've had is the shrimp tacos. I've been here twice and it was the same experience both times. Longer than normal wait time but at least you know it's fresh. It's a really small restaurant with 1 staff member coving the whole restaurant. It's a little stuffy and decorated plain on the inside. The tacos are good but way overpriced. $7 for what should be a $3-$4 taco. They forgot to include guacamole on the taco this time. You can definitely find tacos just as good for a cheaper price. The worst and most frustrating experience in my life as a customer... went by myself today on August 5th around 1:30 pm or so... I ordered 6 oysters shots and pointed at the picture which in the menu shows 6 oysters shots... 15 mins later the waiter comes with 12... I was surprised because I ordered 6... he kept insisting he asked and. I said 12... IF YOURE A MANAGER AND ARE READING THIS... CAN YOU PLEASE LOOK AT YOUR CAMERA, as I'm sitting there looking at those 12 oysters he had the audacity to say: IF YOU CANT EAT IT I HAVE TO PAY FOR IT MYSELF... end of the story I had to eat 6 oysters(what I wanted) and still paid for 12... no checking on my... no water refill... nothing... he disappeared from the embarrassment! The service was great, the guy who waited on us gave his opinion as we asked questions about the menu. I've never have birria taquitos before, and I am glad I tried them. Stopped here about 30 minutes before closing on a Sunday night and had a solid meal. There was a decent crowd with 2-3 other tables of people. The interior is pretty standard with dark fixtures and felt brand new and clean. We wanted to sit down and had to order quickly. Admittedly everything felt a bit rushed, but they let us hang out a few minutes after 9PM as it took a bit to get our meals. Regardless, our waiter was friendly and attentive. We went with a mix of goat and beef birria tacos. We didn't realize it didn't come with consumè, which we'd definitely get for dipping next time. The tacos were still delicious. Two was plenty for two grown men. These things are heavy. We ordered with our eyes and also got one of their "sushi" rolls out of pure curiosity. It was tasty, but I'm not sure it completely made sense for my personal tastes. It was also a hefty boy. Overall, this spot puts out good tasting food and is pretty no frills. My husband noticed Birria Bite in the parking lot of our hotel and wouldn't stop talking about it, so obviously we HAD to try it out. The restaurant is a small space in a small strip mall with many hotels around it. When we walked in we were greeted and allowed to choose a table. They provide complimentary chips and beans? limes and salsas. Outside of that I had no idea what to order. The "waiter" recommended anything birria and they could make it without cilantro (this is a plus!!). We went with Birria Ramen (minus cilantro) 3 birtia tacos, and two mulitas. New place and we love their birrias. I wish they had al pastor or fish tacos but I recommend their tripa and lengua. We usually get the food to go. I wish they had labeled the containers so we know which is which. Tonight, the server gave us tortilla chips to munch on while we waited for our togo order so I thought that was a nice gesture. The order came with Guacamole, a fantastic hot sauce, a chipotle mayo and a chili verde sauce and sour creme. I love all the condiments 6 total things to dip these fabulous tacos in! The food is outstanding and the service great and accommodating. They serve goat meat which is hard to find. We tried the beef taquitos and a goat meat combo plate. Even the usual sides were more than expected. The refried beans have a faint but almost sweet taste. The Mexican rice, which is so often dry at other places, is moist, soft and flavorful. Was hoping this place would be good. It wasn't. We ordered carnitas tacos. 1st bite tasted like old meat. I thought it was just maybe a small piece of meat that was weird.So I Tried the other taco and it was the same. We also ordered the fish taco which was not even edible it was so salty that it was impossible to eat.Cashier/server was nice enough to take it off the bill. Soda was flat.The place is clean but very dark the little lamps are cute but its still not enough light to read menu. Don't think we will return. read more
