So I've had this place bookmarked for a while and I drove past it all at the time Decided to come in on a Friday night with a friend of mine after we went to the terrible glow fest activity down the street ....... Sadly, the night got worse ! We were greated right away and the waitress was very friendly I ordered the quesobirria tacos came with three tacos ! My friend ordered one fish one shrimp and one marlin !!! I took a bite of one of my tacos and it tasted perfectly fine nothing super special but was good !!! no, my friend on the other hand, took a bite of their taco and instantly spit it out !!! Which is definitely something I've never seen them do or do you expect for someone to do at a restaurant? I asked what was wrong and they said the fish was bad. I proceeded to pick it up and you could smell the fish. It really stank like bad !!! Luckily, the waitress was nice when we told her and she took it back and she even said herself that it did smell and she nicely did remove the taco off of our bill as long as the extra order of chips that we had ordered which was very much appreciated which is why I'm getting it three stars because they were understanding I don't know if I'll be back based off of the fish incident. I drove away from Birria-Bite Los Arcos Mexican Restaurant, heading to I-15 and then home, finishing my short vacation in Las Vegas. The reason I had breakfast at this Mexican restaurant was that I was hunting for food I had never tried or even heard of before. I chose this one. The restaurant was outside the main business district of Las Vegas, only several miles northeast of my hotel, but the traffic was crowded. It was located on a deserted street with only a few businesses near the intersection. The restaurant just stood there, looking lonely. I entered through the side door since the main door was closed. The interior was very colorful--the paintings, the chairs, the bricks--everything felt very Mexican. I studied Spanish with Rosetta Stone 20 years ago and took another year with Duolingo last year. So, I can speak a little Spanish, enough to greet and order food without difficulty. I greeted the waiter and waitress and placed my order. The waitress served me hot tortilla chips with a pink-gray bean dip. The dip was creamy, smooth, and delicious. I will try to copycat it in the near future. The entrée I ordered was Goat Birria, a dish I had never heard of or tried before. Basically, it's slow-stewed goat meat without skin. It's very similar to Chinese brown-braised goat, except Birria uses various herbs while the Chinese version uses soy sauce. It was just pure goat stew without hominy or other additions. The Birria was served with three freshly made corn tortillas, and I made my own tacos with the birria and pico de gallo (raw salsa) that came on the side. The corn tortillas were very good--soft and aromatic--but since I didn't eat quickly enough, they turned cold and hard. How fast should I have eaten? The portion of Birria was huge. Even though the bowl didn't look big, it contained a lot of goat meat. It had a slight gamey smell, probably because it was goat rather than lamb. The flavor was good, though the broth was a little too salty. Since the portion was large, I had at least half left over. I brought it home--I keep a frozen container in my car. I boiled it later with some added water and paired it with instant noodles. It tasted fabulous, and even the gamey smell was gone. But be aware, the dish had bones, tiny bones, so be careful. For dessert, I had churros--the best churros I've ever had. Honestly, I haven't had too many churros before. These were served as half-sticks, crunchy on the outside and soft inside, with a very good texture. A churro must have cinnamon flavor, and this one was perfectly balanced. read more

I used to frequent this restaurant back in 2022 during the birria craze, and if it was good then, it is absolutely delectable now. I recently ordered from here multiple days in a row and received excellent, attentive service each time from the gentleman at the front register. On every visit, I ordered a combination plate featuring three lamb and beef birria tacos, which came with a side of consommé and lime. Each time, the meat was perfectly tender, the tacos had the ideal crunch, and the overall flavor was rich and savory. They also provided a huge cup of consommé, and I used the leftovers to make delicious birria breakfast burritos the next morning. I will say the restaurant has a unique layout with around fourteen tables, so it can feel a bit tight at times, but I usually order takeout anyway. The Mojarra (fried fish) could have been fried longer to create an actual crunch. I'd give it a 8.5/10 the rice though was really good. The birria roll tacos were so good. 9.5/10 Definitely would order again. These are a great appetizer. The El Serrano is our favorite. It's so good. When you thought dining out got more expensive, this restaurant did get a newer menu and prices did go up a little. The food got even better imo. This is the first time I tried their lengua taco just for curiosity, it was wonderful. and it was stuffed with lengua. The regular order of goat quesobirria did not disappoint, the tacos actually got stuffed with more gost birria from what I could remember. I think they changed their consommé a little, it's much more hardy than before. I simply try to make a trip to this restaurant every time I'm in vegas. I didn't even look up this amazing spot, I just moved downtown and I was scoping the neighborhood for the grocery store, found it and know what it is, we shop then buy prepared food lol I drove by at first and was like oh, has to be good, it's packed. I was hardcore craving birria tacos yesterday and this place had the best reviews, so I figured why not? SO happy I decided to try them. First of all, the tacos are HUGE! I got the platter of 3, but could only eat one for lunch. The meat is super tender and falls apart (I got the beef but I am definitely going to try the goat). Super simple homemade tortillas, lime, onion and cilantro top the tacos. I could have used more onion and cilantro, so I'll ask for that next time. The real star here is the consomé. Super flavorful, perfectly salty and so good I literally was taking sips of it from the container. I ordered delivery so I can't comment on the actual location, but I will be a regular here. I've only tried maybe 5 birria places in town but this is my favorite so far. Their menu used to be really simple for years: birria, tacos, mulitas, quesadilla, quesabirria, tortas, burrito, and flan. This year, they still have those I've mentioned and added more menu items like chicken wings, birria pizza, birria ramen, birria taquitos, birria fries, and birria nachos. Loco! Birria is living its best life the past couple of years. They used to serve their food in baskets with a liner. Now, they're using real plates and drinkware. They also give you a basket of chips with a bean dip and some salsa. There entrance is now through a different door now too (not that that really matters if you've never been here). Their consommé is where it's at. Kinda fatty, savory with beef (or goat depending on what you get) sitting at the bottom of the cup. There are multiple ways I like my birria: in a mulita, torta...but my favorite is their quesabirria. Tortilla filled with beef (or goat) birria with melted cheese with consommé on the side. You can get it ala carte or a combo. Yuuuummm!!! 5/5 In my most recent visit, I decided to try their birria taquitos. There's a lot going on here. You get 4 fat taquitos drizzled with a chipotle crema, a side of lettuce, radish, guacamole, sour cream, and consommé. It can be quite overwhelming. I don't recommend dipping your taquito in the consommé and putting guacamole and sour cream - it's too much for one bite. I either dipped in consommé or in sour cream and guacamole. 4/5 Their flan is pretty typical of Mexican flan. Their horchata is good to wash it all down. In terms of service, there's always 2 servers at this place. A male server, and a female server. I noticed the male server helps non-Spanish speaking/ Latin-looking diners. He's pretty awesome. He checks on us from time to time. This places gets real busy throughout the day, weekday or weekend. He also takes phone orders. So, be patient and considerate. Know and ask for everything you want/ need instead of expecting the server to go back and forth for you. Ambiance: It's a tiny place and can be cramped when they're busy. A few tables and chairs. Sometimes, the lines are long and some of the diners wait inside the tiny space because who wants to stand in 100 degrees outside? Their restroom doesn't have A/C or heater so, it feels like an outhouse in the summer or winter. Tip: there's a $1 charge if you use a credit/ debit card. read more

The service is great and they really nicely decorated the restaurant, but ever Since they extended their menu it seems like the quality of their staple items have gone down. I've always ordered the three quesabirria tacos with goat and their consommé was always thick, flavorful, and delicious. I don't even know what to call the stuff that they serve now... it's just salted beef juice. I wish they would bring back the old consommé. There was no parking and we had to park in the residential road side. They greeted us immediately and were really gracious. Hands down, one of my favorite places for birria in town. I've been three times now, and every time everything is delicious! This time I had a chicken taco (10/10) and birria fries (10/10). I've had the authentic goat before but I do prefer the beef birria personally. The fries were delicious and super cheap at $15, especially considering it came with a side of consume and I ended up bringing home a huge box of leftover meat that I used at home to make my own tacos. The place is right off Maryland and does give hole in the wall vibes, but once inside it's bright and clean and the service is quick. They give free chips and a bean dip that is delicious, and salsa is served when requested. Both the green and red are fantastic and a little bit spicy. The combo comes with three tacos, you can choose from beef or goat birria. The tacos come STUFFED with birria and topped off with cabbage. The sides were green salsa, guacamole (wish it came with more, ranch (?) which surprisingly went well with the fries, and ketchup (didn't care for this one). I was surprised how big the tacos were. I finished 3 and took the last one home. The Birria hit the spot! The buche was ok.. it felt like it lacked some flavor. What surprised me the most was how good the French fries were! The tacos with the consume were good as well and enjoyed the salsas they had. They also had a few bottled options but I stuck with the ones they served with the tacos. I was searching for a good taco spot downtown while a friend was in town. This place was conveniently located and had high ratings. I only tried two tacos: quesabirria & asada, and they were both sooooo good! They were filled with a good amount of meat and good ratio of toppings. The beef was really juicy and tender on both tacos! The asada taco fell apart because it was so juicy, but using the chips was a perfect way to scoop up all the bits.
