My children took me out to La Vecindad. They said they had been there and the food was good and good prices and they weren't wrong. We went on a super busy night and I the staff seemed a little overwhelmed. We ordered an appetizer that didn't arrive until after we were done with our dinner. They had also made the dinner plates with some lacking items that normally come with it and they forgot a drink we ordered till we were about half way done with dinner. I do think this place has some good food and good pieces but I'd advise going on a night they aren't that busy

Sunday around 4pm the place wasn't as busy as it normally is. It was our first time and we had great service. I wanted a cantarito and it turned out to be extra large. I had a mini torta with French fries and it was outstanding. We ordered the breaded shrimp for my toddler and my husband got flautas, everything was so good we almost finished everything on the plate. Authentic cooking in a cool theme chavo del ocho place. I want to go back for a torta de jamón and to try whatever comes out in a cart and makes an ambulance sound, so fun!

Got the street tacos : good but I have had better ones at a few other places nearby. The neighborhood is 'sus' enough to warrant a cop at the door

Today as it was Mother's Day, the wait was an hour for me! I usually get in fast but today I waited 1 hour to get a table for 4. The food was wonderful as always. I got the chicken mole and my favorite cafe de la olla...the best cafe in Las Vegas!!! A lot of new faces working here now. I got used the the exceptional customer service the old crew had but maybe as I visit more often, this new crew will excel in customer service as well. Oh by the way, it was free mimosa for Mother's Day! The waiter forgot to mention it, I noticed other women with mimosas so I asked them about it since normally I never have seen so many mimosas when I dine in. They apologized for not offering one and they gave us two :)

We had been wanting to try La Vecindad for quite some time during our visits to Las Vegas, and we finally made it in. Right away, we were impressed with the décor. If you're familiar with El Chavo del Ocho, you'll absolutely love this place. There's so much themed décor that really makes you feel like you've stepped onto a scene from the show. Food-wise, based on what we ordered, I'd rate it about a 7/10. I ordered the chilaquiles verdes. While the salsa had good flavor, it was a bit heavy on the onion for my taste. The plate also came with a side salad that took up a large portion of the dish, which felt unnecessary for a breakfast plate. About 30% of my plate was chilaquiles, while the rest was beans, rice, salad, and two eggs. My boyfriend ordered the chicken milanesa torta, and he loved it. The chicken was juicy, the cheese was perfectly melted, and it all came together really well with the bread. We also ordered chicken taquitos. They were good, but once again, the plate was very heavy on lettuce. Lettuce was placed on top of the taquitos and also served as a side salad, which felt a bit excessive. On a positive note, the aguas frescas are natural. The tamarindo was perfect, and the café de olla was honestly one of the best I've had. Our service was amazing and our server was very attentive. We didn't wait long to be seated and food didn't take too long to come out. Overall, great ambiance and solid drinks, with some dishes hitting better than others.

Tucked away in a quiet shopping center just off the Las Vegas Strip, this restaurant feels like stepping into the Vecindad (Neighborhood) of the famous Mexican tv show El Chavo del Ocho. The nostalgic décor starts at the entrance and continues throughout the entire space. I placed an order to go, staff was attentive and food was good. Will have to return and try other dishes. Prices were very reasonable, especially compared to what you'd find on the Strip.

Incredible. The food was amazing--like "I'm-not-sharing-my-plate-so-stop-looking-at-it" amazing. Every dish tasted fresh, flavorful, and like someone's abuela was in the back making sure none of us left disappointed. The staff? Super friendly and totally on top of everything. My drink barely had time to think about being empty before someone appeared to refill it. Service level: elite. Now, the uniforms... not sure why the servers are dressed in babydoll-style outfits, but hey--I'm here for tacos, not a fashion critique. And the tacos were worth it. Highly recommend.

Located off the Las Vegas strip, in a quiet shopping mall, this restaurant takes you back in time with their nostalgic decor. It's decorated from the outside to the inside. The food tasted very authentic. Mexican food, just like many other cultures, has their differences but you definitely know whether it's authentic or not. We were taken alway with their cafe de olla (a Mexican style coffee made with coffee, spices, and raw sugar). It had the right balance of spice and sugar. No need to add anything. Our servers were very attentive to us and other tables. They made sure everything was delivered with care and consistently asked if we needed anything else. Prices are very reasonable and far less than those prices you'd see on the strip. We would definitely come here again.

2nd time here, because it was just that good the 1st time. And this time didn't disappoint either. The food is so good. The meat was juice and flavor was amazing. Rice and bean were yum. Homemade tortillas were great too. Very authentic. Perfectly priced. Service was great. They had someone singing Spanish song and they sounded great. Honestly the place made me feel like I was a kid again hanging out in Mexico. I made me feel warm inside. They made it fun. This place gets crowded so theres a wait but you can tell the staff is hustling and making sure everyone is getting taken care of. You can sense the team effort, especially when the manager was trying to help her team also. Definitely a must try if you haven't been.

My new favorite Mexican restaurant!! This place is so fun and inviting. I was happy before I even got my food. We came on a Saturday morning around 11am. There was a singer with a great voice singing to the whole place. The service was great and attentive with the food being good. I will be back.

Food was delicious, the service was excellent and the ambience just on point. My daughter felt very happy and "feels like mexico" thank you all for also signing happy birthday to my daughter and making her day special. Must visit!

To come here is to relive a childhood that quite honestly I miss. La Vecindad is way more than just a 'mexican restaurant'. Its a ode to our innocence, laughter, good times. On a recent trip to Las Vegas one of my best friends asked me, do you want to eat mexican and I ws honestly not sold. He did however tell me we were going to a super special place and he DELIVERED. We ordered a Torta (OF COURSE!) and some aguas frescas which were soooooo delicious. The staff wasnt that quick, and my friend did get a bit annoyed, but the overall experience was sooooo great. Prices were fair and the best thing? THE DECOR! This place is a homage to La Vecindad del Chavo. What a trip down memory lane this was. Loved every moment and will go back next time I visit Vegas

The mini torta was a perfect size for me. Overall, a cute experience. They place a lot of effort making this into an interactive and enjoyable experience for you. No complains.

It is like any typical taqueria, nothing really extraordinary. I ordered asada tacos and was a bit unimpressed. There was a lot of meat but it was very dry and flavorless. I appreciated how juicy the limes were and the salsa verde was nice, but it was all very underwhelming. It was about $13 for the three tacos, so I expected them to be a bit better than what they were. Despite being a little busy, the food came out pretty quick. This spot is quite dingy. There is a lot of open seating but it is dirty and unkempt. When we were eating there, there was a homeless man seated inside screaming, ripping up newspapers and throwing them around, and playing with a lighter. Although there is an understanding that this is not a fine dining establishment, I think it is a bare minimum standard to host an environment where guests feel safe. It is very loud in there and very casual. It is accommodating for both small and large parties without prior reservation. Maybe the other menu items are better, but if you are looking for tacos, this would not be the best option.

I swear I had told the lady that took my order that I wanted a pollo asado burrito, but perhaps I was wrong, or perhaps she was mistaken with what I ordered. Either way, I am not one to make a fuss, as restaurant workers already work hard (especially the workers at this place), so their ears didn't need a brat like me to give them an earful about getting my order wrong during peak lunch hours. Anyways, I pointed out the mistake, and mentioned if I can order a pollo asado burrito. An older gentleman (who appeared to be the owner/manager/someone important) working behind the counter said don't worry about it...he'll make the burrito and call my name when it's ready.
