Visited on a Thursday evening. Only a couple of tables were occupied. Although there was not much going on, it seemed to take a very long time for our drink order to be taken. However, they did come over with salsa and chips right away while we looked at the menu. Love the vibe and decor REALLY cute spot!! Happy hour is daily from 4 PM to 7 PM with a really really good selection of margaritas for only $6.50 each. I personally tried the cucumber and it was outstanding! They have a very large screen TV playing music videos, which was really cool and set the vibe. We also tried the Chicharrón de Puerco (pork rinds with avocado salsa) and it hit the spot with our drinks!!

My client suggested La Vecindad Cantina, and I'm so glad she did! As soon as you pull into the parking lot, the unique décor grabs your attention, and it only gets better inside. The atmosphere is full of charm and color. We were greeted and seated right away. Our server was friendly, polite, and smiling the entire time. We ordered the taco plate and quesadilla--both were delicious! Even the chips and salsa were fresh and flavorful. A cool detail I loved: they actually brand their quesadilla with the restaurant's name -- such a creative touch! Their cucumber-lime water was also incredibly refreshing and full of flavor -- the perfect complement to the meal. Definitely a place I'd come back to for great food, friendly service, and good vibes.

Just a few steps away from the main restaurant, the Chavo del Ocho theme continues at La Vecindad Cantina, where the outdoor signage promises cold drinks, live entertainment, and good food--and this time, it delivered! Since we had already eaten at the restaurant (see my previous review), we came here ready to kick off our Vegas trip with drinks and fun. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted by friendly staff who quickly got us seated. We ordered a bucket of beers for $25 (yes, please!), which felt like a great deal compared to typical Vegas prices. The vibe was playful and unique. The kitchen is designed like a colorful indoor food truck, complete with familiar Mexican characters painted on the facade, peeking out from the "window"--a fun and nostalgic touch. A huge screen played a virtual DJ set, spinning a mix of dance hits that set the tone. The bathrooms were clean, colorful, and on-theme. About 20 minutes in, the entertainment started--a drag queen show that was interactive, hilarious, and full of energy. The performer engaged the crowd with jokes, songs, and conversation, making everyone feel like part of the party. We didn't eat, but we noticed the food coming out looked and smelled better than what we had next door--definitely a different (and seemingly improved) menu. Overall, this location is worth a drop-in--even if just for the drinks, atmosphere, and entertainment. If you're looking for a fun, off-the-Strip spot with strong vibes and character, this is the one to hit.

I was exciting to try what I thought was one of the highest rated Mexican Restaurants in Las Vegas All I can say is somebody is lying on the reviews Even though this is the "Cantina" the food comes from the same kitchen and the food was horrible Dry chicken and beef in the tacos and taquitos Was charged a 15 percent gratuity for two people when the menu clearly states the charge is automatically added for 6 or more people The sever Matthew was really good. He would have gotten 20 percent off the top but once I saw a tip was already on the bill I wasn't giving a dime extra for an establishment with horrible food and mediocre drinks . Total bill was $70.28, this was for 3 tacos , 3 taquitos a sour Margarita and a Mojito

This place is definitely a vibe . Had a fun time here for sure . The drinks were good but the food !!!!!!!! . The food is not good here at all. If they just fixed that part of this place it would be a 5 . Customer service is good . We got tacos , queso fundido and fish tacos and they were all trash . The salsa was rotten. The fish was old and the salsa sucked ! If you want a chill place to just drink and vibe sure but if u want to chill, vibe , drink and eat this place is not it .

My friends and I were in the mood for some authentic Mexican foods so decided upon this place as they were pretty high on the recommendation list. The staff was very inviting and the ambiance was very Mexican themed. We were served some fresh, warm tortilla chips with salsa. I wanted Queso but was really surprised they did not have any. I got the beef ribs which came with a house dressing and fries covered with carne. It was very flavorful but not a lot of meat and kinda fatty. We tried steak fajitas as well which were tasty but they forgot bring or tortillas. The server did apologize several time and adjusted the bill. I think this place is a tad bit overpriced for what you get but food was good and staff seemed to work hard. Restaurant and bathrooms were clean.

We came to the Drag competition Sunday night, the show was great, no complaints about that, we were just talking about coming back when the manager Vivi approached us and told us we needed to order drinks or food since they don't charge an entrance fee.Our reservation was made by one of the contestants who is a friend it was originally made for 6 people, which we weren't aware of since she expected more people. There also isn't a minimum amount of consumption (or at least no one notified us that there is). After she rudely approached us and told us that we needed to at least eat ( didn't even check with her server but we had all eaten already) . We asked the server for her name and she came back very confrontational asking why we needed her name and who asked for it. She then proceeds to get in my friend's face extremely rude and confrontational to the point where I had to intervene. She told us we should have just canceled our reservation if we knew the 6 people weren't coming. Her demeanor was extremely unprofessional, very aggressive and she ruined the entire experience. We won't be coming back although we had just spoken about coming back exclusively for the show. On top of that our torta was super hard, food was bland, we asked for water with ice 3 times and the 4th we received warm Cardenas water bottles. Ambience was fun, but no matter what I wouldn't return to a place where the person in charge is being so hostile and proceeded to laugh in our face. She also took it upon on herself to reprimand our friend, the contestant, for reserving a table larger than she expected as if it were her fault that her friends didn't show up.

The ambiance was absolutely charming--kudos to the creative designer for such a beautiful space. The service was exceptional, and the café de olla was easily one of the best I've ever had. We opted for the AYCE tacos at $24.99 per person, which is worth it only if you have a big appetite. Otherwise, I'd recommend sticking to the regular menu items. My favorite taco was the cabeza; it was incredibly tender and well-seasoned. As it was my first time trying it, I don't have anything to compare it to, but I really enjoyed it. The tres leches cake was also delicious and a perfect way to end the meal.

Had to try it since it's Best in Vegas. Truly authentic experience- from the food, service, and place. The staff entertained us thru the night. Service was great and helpful. Menu is extensive. For starters- the chips and salsa were delicious- warning don't over eat it - make room for your meals, which are huge. I enjoyed the birria de res- delicious, full of flavors. Burritos and sandwiches are huge. Make sure to make room for dessert. Place gets busy but worth the total experience.

Highly recommend this place off the beaten strip path. If you were ever a fan of El Chavo del Ocho this place will speak to you. And if you love cumbias or are a fan of Latin American music the vibes and music are great setting for a meal. We came to the Bar, which is different from the restaurant. This caters to a 21 and only crowd, the restaurant is more for families. Same menu, just one is 21 and over and other for families. We drive by the restaurant after eating, and we are glad we web to the bar because there was a huge line at the restaurant while the bar was empty. You decide. What did we order. Chilaquiles, Huevos con, Chorizo, huevas a la Mexicana, and Huevos Rancheros. All delicious, well Portioned. What I loved about the chorizo was that it was not potent and it was meaty. The Salsa that they serve you with chips as soon as you are seated was amazing. I had a taste of everyone 's plate and they were all palette pleasers. My only critique would be the French Toast, maybe a little more cinnamon vanilla extract and sugar, but who comes to a Mexican restaurant for toast, so out bad. Gael was our server and was super attentive and shared with us the list of performers that make a showing to this place. Come and eat here. It wil be worth the trip. And let's not forget the price point. Most meals on the strip at averaging $20-25 for breakfast. Not here. You can get a meal for $15 popping with flavor, ambiance, and the nostalgic warmth of your favorite childhood sitcom.

Talyia R.

A fun filled environment with popular Latin television inspired theme decor. The staff is warm and friendly. The drinks and food have strip pricing. The food is good.

Loaded Chicken Nachos off App section of menu. Enough for 2 people to eat. CHECK THEM OUT !!!

Cornelius recommended several locations to also check out and each of those locations talked about Nocturno being a great spot as well. When you do a cocktail crawl in the Arts District, and they all speak highly of Nocturno, you know it's not just reviews on apps, or awards issued, but mad respect earned from the community itself. It's about to have its 1 year anniversary, and I recommend a weekday visit as it's not as bumping (yet) as the weekend. Get here now while you can. The cocktail menu can appear overwhelming. It's not. It's a pirates treasure map to cocktail booty. It has the classics, and below each classic, is a family tree of variations. You can also just tell the bartenders to make you something with a frame of reference. Seriously, this spot is an educational experience if you want it to be. I was there on a Tuesday at opening, just my buddy and I at the bar, expecting to spend an hour and change there as we had a crawl planned. 20 minutes in, and I canceled my reservation at the Doberman. An hour in, I canceled the next stop too. We spent about 3 hours at the bar, and let me tell you, Cornelius is a terrific ambassador for the cocktail world in Las Vegas. He seems to know almost everyone, and speaks reverentially of the "competitors" and knows their lineage. I cannot say enough things about this spot, and it's now earned a permanent spot on my annual visit list of things to do.

It is now part of the routine when I'm in Vegas. The drinks are tasty but still have personality and a perspective. You can tell by the drink names in conjunction with tasting them - that the Prowl team take what they do seriously without taking themselves too seriously. No pretentious mixology nonsense. I really appreciated this because the way she phrased her question told me they had availability and we would be granted entry. The bar is very small and seats about 30. Reservations are strongly encouraged, however we went on a Monday in February. If you're going on a weeknight during off peak season, you should be okay without a reservation. The hostess gave us the option of sitting at the bar or at a table. We asked her for her rec and she said the bar so that's what we chose. The decor is beautiful. The ambiance is dark and moody. It's perfect for a date night. We were greeted by both bartenders. I believe the bartender that made our drinks was Rory. He was very nice and knowledgeable about cocktails. He was able to answer our questions and make suggestions based on our preferences. As we browsed the menu, we were presented with welcome drinks in a fancy smoky container. I don't recall the name of the drink, but it had a lychee flavor with a sugar rim and it was good! Drinks are extremely pricey which is to be expected in Vegas. It's also on par based on where the speakeasy is located (hint hint). The cheapest cocktail was $30 so prepare yourself for the sticker shock. Some drinks were $80-$100! Sometimes you just have to treat yourself. I went with the Velvet Moon which was an interesting cocktail consisting of both gin and mezcal. It had flavors of hibiscus and it also had egg white which I absolutely love! The presentation was beautiful and I really enjoyed it! My friend went with the Basilico Bliss which he enjoyed. I didn't try any, but it looked really good. As we were enjoying our drinks, the staff presented us with savory bar snacks. They were tasty and were a perfect compliment to our cocktails. They do have food on the menu, but we had already eaten so we stuck with our complimentary snacks. As we were closing out, the staff presented us with a complimentary mini dessert. Rory described it as a Carajillo Jello shot. I don't like jello (I hate the texture), but I do love Carajillos. My friend does not drink coffee and does not like coffee flavor, so I ate both of them. They were so delicious (but the texture was off putting lol). I typically don't mention the restrooms in my reviews, but this one is worth mentioning. All I have to say is heated seats with a bidet! We really enjoyed our visit. Had the drinks not been so pricey, we probably would have stayed longer. If you enjoy speakeasies and/or craft cocktails, go have a drink at The Vault! The experience alone is worth it!
