A while back, I promised myself I would never go to that nail salon, but I found myself in the area and, seeing that the place was completely empty, I decided to give it a shot. Now I understand why it was so deserted. I went in to get my nails done, and the experience was terrible. The nail tech shaped one of my thumbs square and the other one oval! When I raised my concern to the manager (or perhaps the owner), she had the nerve to tell me it was my fault for not specifying how I wanted them done ( oh i didn't know that i needed to specify that all my nails need to be uniform). I mean, even a toddler could have done a better job! It's only the second day since my appointment, and all the gel polish is already peeling off. A hundred dollars down the drain. read more

I have been coming to this nail salon with my mom for almost 20 years. Jenny and Mary are so helpful and nice and for as long as this business has been standing, they deserve a lot of credit for the rude clientele that I see walk into this establishment. My's is very affordable and for the price you pay, you get work that would cost 2x more from other salons. A lot of the nail trends that are very design heavy are not commonly done here, but they do whatever you ask within reason. Clientele is usually older so their services reflect that. They've since added more services since I started coming in 2003 and you can see more of the trendier requests now. I've had every nail lady here and they are all very nice and professional. My's is very reasonable for how expensive manicures and acrylics have gotten. They may not be known for intricate nail designs, but the times I've asked for something different they've always delivered, and I think that says a lot about the work ethic. They are no frills, inexpensive and always try to satisfy your nail requests. Most of the 1 star reviews I read mentioned: coming in at the last minute and expecting services they do not advertise. The others talk about being accidentally cut, which I understand. I've had it happen there and it sucks but some of the pain described is never to the caliber I've felt. Some of these reviewers act like they were ripping their nails out one by one. One of the reviews complained about their foot massage not being long enough, on top of coming in at the last minute....Yeah, this is a nail salon, not a massage parlor. I'm biased for sure but I've never had an unpleasant experience and they are all very hard working. If you (or they) accidentally mess up a nail, they will fix it right away. Even if you accidentally ruin a nail, a few days later they are really good about fixing it and repainting it at no charge. For being an affordable nail salon in Glendale, it's a hidden gem in my opinion. read more

I'm going to Vegas tomorrow and had been so busy that I didn't have time to book an appointment for pedicure. This nail salon accommodated me and my friend last minute so I thought why not? First off, the one star was for the foot massage that was ok but was done quickly. Then it seemed going well but then they hurried me up prolly because my friend and I were the last customers. They said I could go and my toe nails were dry. I haven't left yet and I saw that the polish already wrinkled and messy. I told them and they kind of fixed it (didn't even removed everything and just sort of put new layer on top) but because AGAIN it wasn't dry and they hurried to put top coat, it was again wrinkled. To make matters worse, I had to wear my flats to drive because those foam slippers they gave me broke as soon as I left the salon. Now I paid money to have ugly pedicure. This place is by far the worst place I've been to for a mani/pedi. I arrive with my friend and quickly I'm rushed to pick a color as all eyes in the room stare at me to pick a color. So I'm looking at their "selection of professional nail liquor" blahhh and can't find anything! After a few color tests, I chose a light lavender. So the lady tells me to sit on this empty chair (random chair not even a manicure station) and a lady comes to do my pedicure. A little too hard on the scrubbing. Also, apparently they don't understand the word short because I had to have her redo it 3 times. So THEN I get asked to walk up and leave across the floor to the manicure station to where the nail polish was done. Then came the manicure....oh boyyyy. Let's just say that was a big waste of money. Uneven cutting, uneven filing, uneven nail polish. Do these people call themselves "professionals." After a couple of times of correcting her and asking her to not cut my nail at an angle and file evenly, I lost all hope...I just tried to keep my cool. I walk out, see that my nails have bare spots, some nails are filed diagonally -_- and already the top coat is worn out. NEVER GOING BACK!!!!! Do not be fooled by their low prices, it's worth the extra 5 to go to someone who knows how to do this stuff...Oh and I too came out with bleeding cuticles OUCH! read more
