Friendly neighborhood Walgreens. The pharmacy is always out of control with Lloyd of people picking up their medication there. Sometimes the wait is out of control and they may not be able to compete the 1 hour refill, but the try. Pharmacist are friendly and acknowledge the fact that there are a lot of Spanish speaking customers. There is one particular cashier at the front that ALWAYS greets everyone as they walk in. She is ALWAYS greeting customers as she tends to other customers who are cashing out. read more

This is my local Walgreens. I'm leaving this review in the hopes corporate sees it and finally does something about it. This store is badly mismanaged. The shelves are always empty, and they are always out of stock for the most BASIC necessities like milk, popular beverages, eggs, etc. And it is clearly because they are not paying their bills. This is obvious to anyone who's ever worked in retail. They will have a milk or beverage brand and then suddenly stop carrying it and switch to another brand, until that vendor doesn't get paid, then the shelves are empty till they find another vendor, and then stiff them. Embarrassing! DO BETTER! You are a major chain, and yet the mom and pop store down the road can manage to keep their shelves stocked with milk and eggs. I gave it 2 stars, since the staff is usually super cool and helpful, This is obviously coming from further up the ladder. read more

Rude staffs! The manager and staffs are very incompetent! Don't do your online shopping here because they hate it. You can tell they talk about you when you walk in and they all look at you and smirk or giggle within themselves. This walgreens have low rating stars for a reason. If i can give 0 stars i would!! read more

This is the closest Walgreens to my place of work, so it makes sense to come here to get things. What's nice is that there is a FedEx drop off returns and stuff like that, but the employee don't know how to use the android device. I had to take the device from the employee and help her use it, which is honestly fine. my biggest issue with this Walgreens is that it says the hours is supposed to open at 7 AM with the sign posted of the door, but when I got there today at 7:55, they said they didn't open until 8 AM! I'm not sure why they posted this sign though. read more

Rude and disgusting staff. The short lady up front asked me if I wanted a bag, I say yes. My total is $18.90, I give $20. I get my change and notice she gave me just a dollar. I told her it's supposed to be $1.10, then she snatches my receipt with the dollar out my hand (not gonna lie that instantly pissed me off) and she points our the bag is 10 cent. I told her, next time, let people know that instead of assuming they do. The other lady at the pharmacy literally handed me my prescription while munching on a cookie in the same hand and, then taking a sip of her drink at the counter. Food should be eaten at lunch, not at the counter, and ESPECIALLY not at a pharmacy counter. Disgusting and unprofessional. Definitely not coming back here, these people clearly don't know how to interact with customers. Also posted on google. read more

Thank you Veronica at the pharmacy dept. I had to get a substitute for my dads covid medicine because it would interact with his blood thinner medicine. I called, left a voicemail and sent a text to my dads primary doctor to change the covid medicine. I was not able to get a hold of him for over 24 hours. Veronica and her team went above and beyond expectations. Getting a hold of the doctor and making sure my dad is able to get the medicine he needs for covid. She gave me a call back which I missed. Stephanie was able to relay a very informative message to me that the covid medicine for my dad should be ready in a couple hours Thank you again Veronica and the Walgreens pharmacy dept read more

Stay away from this place, the pharmacy is so bad, they will not help you out! I regret having my prescription sent to this place. I think the person was just being lazy and don't want to help out. read more

Low rating regarding recent experiences at the pharmacy: Judith speaks to customers in both Spanish and English with such condescending tones -- blaming everything on "corporate" and not providing a solution when this is what customers aka people who have health problems who need prescription medicine rely on providers for. Generally: The regular staff are great hence not 1 star. They keep the line moving in the front, which can get long. CVS vs Walgreens: Walgreens doesn't seem as bad as CVS, where I have seen literally only one associate working. And the lone working CVS staff member has to alternate between managing the "self check-out" and folks in the regular line. So Walgreens over CVS at least. read more

I ordered a product for pick up through their APP. The process was very easy and convenient. However when I got to the parking lot it was PACKED. The two curbside spots were occupied with cars with no one in either one. How inconvenient and inconsiderate for people with small children, elderly folks, or just regular people using curbside delivery. Too bad Walgreens doesn't invest in a security guard to make rounds in the parking lot. The cashiers have always been nice, and it's the only place that carries the hair product for my curly hair. I just wish the parking situation were better. read more

Seriously the worst pharmacy ever. Anthony and that Stephanie girl need to be fired as soon as possible. They are extremely rude and unhelpful creating any type of hurdle for a person to not get their medication. The are seriously lazy fucks and withhold any info to help a person out. Minus two stars for their unfriendly and inflexible ID policy. Note that if I could review the PHARMACY separately it would still receive 5/5 stars; Basically the policy that says they know who I am well enough to give me AMPHETAMINES at one counter, but refuse to give me tobacco products at the other end of the store without a PHYSICAL ID (had scans, not accepted) is positively asinine and almost suspicious. Good thing the store management at this Walgreens isn't in charge of voting rights. Jeez. STILL BETTER THAN CVS. Pharmacy agreed to help me out in a pinch when I was given only half my medication by my quack doctor and CVS refused to help me even though he seems to always send it to them even though I like Walgreens better. Seriously, why is Walgreens 1000x better than CVS. Employees are more helpful, prices are better, pharmacy is a 'step up' pun intended. CVS is more worried about covering their own rear end than fulfilling their oath to pour patients first and minimize suffering because they almost never help me when I'm in a dire situation withdrawing from the antidepressant Effexor, which is dreadful by the way. Avoid it. But DO go to Walgreens, almost no bad experiences at their stores so compared to cvs, and Walgreens loyalty program is actually user friendly. I love Walgreens thanks again guys read more

Rating is accurate. Everyone here is flat out rude. They apparently haven't had to deal with scanning QR code's for FedEx or drop off protocol. Would never go here again or otherwise- there's a FedEx official service center nearby on Zonal street- go there! read more

WOULD NOT RECOMMEND!!!! SWITCHING SOON!! The etiquettes of the pharmacy employees are horrible.Every time I go pick up medication for my mom I receive rude customer service. I always go home wondering what I did to deserve such horrible service but it's not me it's the employees. I've confirmed from other customers. I'm not that person to tell people what to do but if an employee has a hard time giving great customer service they should not be working in this field. Especially the medicine field where people often go in pain to pickup medication just to get attitude from the pharmacist especially Judith. ( I won't get into my experience with her it's too long and upsetting). I also hate how long the line is. There's no such thing as speed pick up . It's the SAME LINE. There's only one pickup booth. It takes about 30-40 minutes to pick up your medication and someone always has to approve your release of medication to takes another 10-20 min sometimes. FIND ANOTHER WALGREENS OR PHARMACY TO GO TO. P.S I've always had great experiences with the regular staff in the front check out. always nice and courteous. Pharmacy needs training. read more

The pharmacy is horrible. I've had multiple issues with getting medications on a timely manner. They do not put the patient/customer first. You definitely have to vouch for yourself to make sure your medications are correctly processed and give to you. They will not call, update, or do anything if it adds more work to their schedules. Dropped a prescription off in person Tuesday and was told it would be ready next day. I called next day for an update and was told they didn't have any update on any medications. Explained my drop off, and was transferred to a male pharmacist who told me they have the medications but they attempted to reach my doctors office (with contact info on prescription I dropped off) and were getting a no answer as if the office was closed... i guess they didn't think to call me or ask for an alternate number until I called the next day for an update? Waited 40 minutes to get my walk in vaccine and they said appointment only. On the website it states same day vaccines and walk ins available. This is unbelievable and there's no order. Also everything is one line, there's 3 workers there and everything moves at a snails pace. Terrible, absolutely terrible. They could have at least placed a sign saying appointments only, apparently that's too difficult to do. read more

It's kinda scary having a "Walgreens manager" not wearing a face mask properly! Today April 11, 2021. Around 10:20 a.m. I came in to get some stuff that I needed. I headed to the cashier area. I was behind a lady waiting for my turn to pay. And WHOALA! 2 ladies just stopped right in front of me and the lady I was behind of! They didn't care! They were not even 6 ft. Apart between me and the other lady! Oh! But wait! They were "family/friends" of the manager on duty! He saw what happened and he didn't even say ANYTHING! How convenient right? He started chatting with them. Is where I realized that this "manager" wears not wearing his mask in a proper way!! His nose was not covered by the mask! That was a red flag! How come Walgreens refuses services and goods to people who doesn't wear masks properly or not masks at all her one of their employees is not doing it?? We still in a pandemic thing! Don't think cuz you already got vaccinated (if you already are) you will not need to wear a mask still!! You are an EMPLOYEE and you gotta care about others safety because it's a policy now wherever you go! If you are not comfortable wearing a mask at work you should stay at home playing video games! Once I checked out I did ask to one of the cashiers for the "manager" she said "it's the guys over there" I just told her "you know just for others safety he should wear a face mask properly" she just said: "well, thank you for let us know" Really? Means that she also didn't give a F? that's crazy! read more

This review is in regards to the PHARMACY only. I've been getting meds filled here for ~ the last year. The service here is consistently terrible, and I've recently reached the point of no longer using this pharmacy again. Medications have routinely taken several days to a week or even longer to fill. Most recently, I ended up being out of most of my meds for over a week, because this pharmacy dropped the ball. This is in spite of me making a special trip to pick up the single medication that was ready on time, and talking directly to the pharmacist about the situation. I told her I wanted to pay cash and use Goodrx if the insurance didn't cover the meds, as I needed them filled ASAP. She assured me that she would get back to me after looking into the matter, but never did. I ended up getting separate prescriptions, and having them filled elsewhere. Had I not bypassed this pharmacy I would still be out of most of my meds nearly two weeks later. My wife works at a local medical facility and I just found out that this pharmacy is notorious for making mistakes and dropping the ball. She has had so many patients that have had problems with this pharmacy that she has long been advising patients not to go there. I wish I had known this sooner. Despite how frustrating my experience has been here, I don't blame the individuals working here. Being a health professional who routinely works with pharmacies, I am aware that this pharmacy is most likely understaffed in order to minimize company costs, and maximize profits. Unfortunately, this has been the ultimate result of big corporations replacing mom and pop pharmacies. Walgreens are notorious for bare bones staffing of their pharmacies, and in fact, many are so understaffed that it is impossible to reach someone over the phone. I should have known better, and ended up learning the hard way. Hopefully this review saves someone else the time I wasted, spares them the mountain of frustration I endured, and ensures that anyone reading this never has to go without their medications. read more

While I hate to give out negative reviews, I feel like it is my duty to accurately report and warn folks of extremely lacking customer service and of a place that I highly would not recommend. While I can overlook the lacking parking situation, us being in Los Angeles and all, what I cannot overlook is multiple instances of downright rude and abusive customer service. Every time I've been here to the pharmacy, despite the fact that there are two windows and two signs for two separate lines, I've been scolded and told there is only one line. After checking in I've had to wait for at least 40 minutes regardless of how many folks were there, and again scolded when asking about the status of my prescriptions. I honestly believe that every time you ask, because you've been waiting a long time, they make you wait a little bit longer even if it's their fault that they forgot your prescription or your appointment. Unless you've got a lot of time to kill and don't mind folks being really rude to you, I highly recommend going elsewhere. read more

Absolutely horrible Walgreens. It's a smaller store so it is justified as to why the selection is much smaller than other locations, but what is not justified is the HORRIBLE customer service. The cashier stopped multiple times in the middle of my transaction and had me waiting to get my change for like 3 minutes because she was speaking to a coworker. Mind you, the conversation was work related, but if you can't multitask don't try. There's no reason why she couldn't finish with me first and then deal with whatever she had to deal with. I use this Walgreens to pick up my medicine. The cashiers in the front are usually very friend. But the girls in the pharmacy are usually a little nasty with me. They usually don't smile. I use this store to pick up medication. Every single time that I am there and a girl by the name of Gabriela helps me, I get awful and rude service. She always has an attitude, she is always throwing up her hands with an attitude. I don't know who decided to hire her to help customers. I feel the only job she is qualified for is janitor. Its really a nightmare going to the pharmacy center in this location. By the way when I made a complaint to Stacie, her attitude was even worst. She got argumentative and combative with me instead of hearing out my complaint. Its a very bad group of people. Even the cashier I spoke to in the front told me they hear complaints about them all the time. I hate this place and I hope who ever works here reads this. There's a lady who works here who is really really rude . She's a manager maybe. But that's beside the point. You can't ask this woman for anything she's a total bother. It's like anything a customer asks for she either doesn't know what it is doesn't understand you or doesn't seem to wanna really help you. As a customer this is very discouraging to shop here I live on the same block and I'd rather walk to Ramirez for my prescription or drive to another Walgreens for better customer service. I ordered some prints for same day service. I went to pick them up and they said they weren't ready. The reason was that they hadn't had ink or photo paper for 4 days. I love this Walgreens! I love that there is always a happy employee at the door welcoming me in. I love that if I ever need help looking for anything the employees help me right when I ask. There are things they carry that I can't find at all the little stores surrounding the area. The only thing that annoys me is the vast majority of customers that come in. Apparently most people in Boyle Heights don't understand what standing in line means. I guess the concept of a line or having to wait for your turn is to hard to wrap their brain around. Walgreens - a black and white photo of a woman and a child - Drugstores Near Me - Los Angeles, California

This is a very small Walgreens with a very limited selection of product. The past few times I've been here I have not been able to find what I was looking for. The excuses always "we are a smaller Walgreens and we do not carry all that a bigger Walgreens will carry." there were four incidents where I could not even shop because I really needed to use the bathroom and their excuse was "our elevator is broken and there's no access to the bathroom." "Coincidence? I think not." Now the funny thing is that in the back of the store, by the pharmacy, there is a keypad locked door with a glass window and just Beyond that door, there is a door with a bathroom sign. I really wish this place will get their act together because it is a convenient location for me. For now I rather drive 3 miles away for a CVS. read more
