I usually go to big pharmacy chains like CVS but I stumbled upon Kyoto Pharmacy as I was already in the area running errands. This is one of the few times I've visited a local pharmacy and I have to say this definitely was the best experience compared to any other pharmacy visit I had. There was no wait in line and I was helped right away. After dropping off my prescription, it literally only took like 10 minutes for the pharmacy to finish my order. Just quick and efficient, we love that! This will definitely be my go to pharmacy from now on! Plus it's a super quick walk to the Little Tokyo plazas so you can just drop off your prescription, walk around, and come back. P.S. they have a $3 minimum purchase for card if you are purchasing anything in the store, however, this minimum does not exist for prescriptions. read more

Wow!! The service you get from Kyoto is above all pharmacies large or small. Starting with the person answering the phone, super professional, attentive, listens. If you're looking for A-1customer service , then you found the right pharmacy. Approvals from Ins Comp, calls to your doctor, calls from the pharmacist if needed. They are on it with your meds. I have seen how busy they are in person and on the phone, and you could appreciate the staff so much more for all their hard work. The pharmacist is a great guy, respectful and helpful! This place is definitely a gem to anyone who becomes their client. The delivery people are awesome!!! Thank you Kyoto for always taking care of me and my family and getting our medication to us so quickly! read more

Fastest pharmacy medication refill. I recommend people going here rather than regular cvs or walgreens that will take hours. Staff are very efficient and they give discounts on meds. read more

Love this place. My folks are monolingual and I help manage their care. The staff who answers the call is great with providing information re approval of medications etc. They will also call the dr if the medication needs to be changed etc. I dont have to follow up with them multiple times to make sure everything is done correctly. They also deliver the medications to us. Often times, I will be at the doctor's office with my folks and the pharmacy will call us to see how soon we need the medication. The delivery folks are great. Super friendly. One time, we stepped out to run a quick errand and they waited 5-10 mins for us to turn around to sign for the medications. read more

You know how you dread going to LA worry about parking and how long you'll be waiting in a pharmacy? Not here! Each time I always had my fiancé bring me and I honestly can't tell you how quick and efficient the staff at Kyoto Pharmacy are! I'm in and out and I don't even give my fiancé enough time to pull out and find parking after dropping me off lol they are great, I wish all pharmacies ran their business like they do! Definitely giving them * * * * * * (those are 6 stars) lol. Can't leave star emojis. Amazing business! Wish there was one closer but I don't mind the drive anymore read more

Made a 9:00 appointment for a covid test. I arrived at 9:00, but they were closed. Security said they were running late again (so apparently common). I called their number, but no answer. I had a 10:00 meeting, which is why I made the 9:00 appointment. I had no idea when or if they were going to arrive. They all showed up together at about 9:20. They started answering the phone rather than honoring the 9:00 appointment. No apology, no greeting, no explanation, and no acknowledgement of my appointment. They weren't even making eye contact. I was furious. Eventually they got to me at about 9:35, and I was racing to make it to my meeting on time, and arrived flustered rather than calm and ready. KYOTO PHARMACY SUCKS. Don't make 9:00 appointments if you can't honor them. If you're running late, at a minimum forward your phone and pick it up. Better yet, you have my phone number, so call me and let me know that you're running late and when you expect to arrive. Instead, I got rude, dismissive, and acting like my appointment was somehow an imposition. AVOID KYOTO PHARMACY. read more

I've been going to this pharmacy for 2 years now and it's been the most amazing experience! The staff truly cares about the clients and they will do their best to get you the help you need. They are a true and genuine staff! They are organized, timely, and open to answering any questions you may have. Often times pharmacy's like (cvs) make you wait long lines, don't have orders ready, etc. it's just a mess and consumes your time. But not at Kyoto where they value you and your time! read more

This pharmacy is so amazing I can't even explain. I am a doctor and frequently prescribe medications to this pharmacy. This pharmacy goes above and beyond to get patients their meds. Other pharmacies I work with always seem to have some excuse or another why they don't want to fill patient medications and I end up calling up and back and wasting a lot of time and creating hassle for my patients. Kyoto is the exact opposite. If I could only ever prescribe to Kyoto I would. It's that amazing! read more

Great pharmacy. Always helpful. Not sure what else Yelp wants me to say here. It's a pharmacy. Like it's a pretty solid place to pick up medication and the soda variety is great and at fair prices. Would recommend. read more

I used to automtically send all of my prescription to the big chain pharmacies like CVS and Walgreens because I thought they would be more efficient but Kyoto has made me a believer that bigger isn't always better. I receive better better service here and so far no problems with mixups (the CVS by my house is always busy and have mixed up my prescription quite a few times already). Take all of your scripts to this neighborhood pharmacy! read more

This is the pharmacy where they know your name, not only that, they keep track of you and your meds. Edward Ou-Young, the pharmacist, has explained more about my medications than most of my doctors. He actually reads the fine print in the PDR and can explain it to you in simple understandable terms. The staff is also friendly and helpful. The pricing here also seems better than the chain stores. I am giving them the highest rating because they deserve it. read more

In general my experience of the big pharmacies is one of frustration. Regardless of the medication you are picking up the minimum wait is fifteen minutes and invariably longer. Kyoto pharmacy is a small neighborhood pharmacy that is friendly, helpful and fast. It has now become my default pharmacy even though it is some distance from my house. The pharmacist is knowledgeable and always happy to answer questions with a smile. Highly recommended. read more

Excellent service. The pharmacist actually consults with you on every prescription that is not a refill. When is the last time a pharmacist has communicated with you other than to have some clerk ask you to sign a waiver about not wanting a consultation. Edward, the pharmacist, appears to be genuinely interested in you and your prescription. They are also very active in finding you the cheapest way to fill your prescription. This place deserves all fie stars because they are "as good as it gets". read more

Edward and his staff at Kyoto Pharmacy are the absolute best. They are professional, courteous, trustworthy, and efficient. It puts my mind at easy knowing they are easily accessible, and that they are always willing to answer any questions or concerns. Edward is exceptionally helpful, knowledgeable and kind. Kyoto Pharmacy is by far one of the best -- if not THE BEST -- pharmacy in Los Angeles. read more

I will never go back to cvs! The staff is so incredible and helpful. They ALWAYS go out of their way to give me coupons and quickly process my requests. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars! read more

Very personable. Good quick service. Would highly recommend. Will work with you and very knowledgable.

They were extremely kind. I forgot to take my medication that I accidentally left there but they shipped it to me! I'll stop by someday to pay him back the shipping charges but anyway who does that for you when its your fault? Plus, right now they have free small gifts that they give out to their customers.. that was nice :) read more

Friendly, knowledgeable, prompt service. Never much of a wait. So glad I found this place!
