This location at 7th and Fig is easy to find, I got here by subway, so it's an easy walk. Can't judge the parking! The store is smaller and very crowded. Not as well organized, bit chaotic. I tried to be in and out fast. Tazo tea selection wasn't as good. Got the gift card, a greeting card and off we went. Bathrooms are very dirty and it's an adventure to use them. This is a busy a** Target and they also have a LOT of security in this location, but it's just like every other Target experience except it's a Bite-sized store (there is actually a much tinier store in Burbank) that won't have everything you may want, but they'll have the majority of what you seek. I work long days and don't like to stop on the way home from work, so when I need something, I just walked down here for lunch grab what I need and then take it home with me at the end of the day. read more

The absolute worst shopping experience ever! My 12 year old was harassed and stalked by an armed man in the book aisle! He was uncomfortably close and did not back away until I yelled at him. The way in which he approached and how close he got was so inappropriate and extremely alarming!!! NEVER EVER SHOPPING AT THIS LOCATION OR ANY OTHER FOR GOOD! This Target has some really horrible employees. Many of them are fine, as is the security, but a lot of the younger employees are rude, racist and miserable and it shows. An employee hit my belongings twice, once with his arm and then when I had my bags behind the counter he looked down to deliberately kick them with his foot. Then another male employee defended him and tried to claim that I am the problem for defending myself against their uncalled for bullying. He also tried to claim he was the manager when he was not. Many times, though not always, when they are very rude, I defended myself. I am not a child, this is not high school, and I will not tolerate being bullied. I am not a bully, and I won't put up with that behavior from others. I am respectful until I am disrespected or people do not respect my reasonable boundaries. Do not ever think that because I am soft spoken that I will allow myself to be disrespected for no reason. I will make you pay for it, believe that. Because there is no cause for that behavior towards me. These are two of the employees. There is also a young woman with some skin issues (not pictured) who is also miserable and rude. I waited over 5 minutes for someone to come to open the doors so I can get toothpaste.I asked multiple employees to open the doors and they said we're sending somebody over when I finally paid for my merchandise the person at the register never put a sticky note on the cart where I was at. I waited over 20 minutes downstairs with my eight month baby that started to cry. It was the worst experience ever once I went back up they did not handle the situation as I would wanted. Their customer service is horrible. If I do not get a call back from leadership I will definitely take my business to Walmart. For some reason the security at this location feel like they have the right to mock customers? One of them asked me, a 40 year old with a mustache, "where are your parents?" to insult how I was dressed. In addition to being extremely rude, they are apparently unaccountable to Target management or the location as I asked repeatedly to speak to a supervisor and was told they weren't at the location and there was no one I could speak to. This by far one of the worst targets I have ever been to. Everything is locked away and you have to constantly ask for help. They have no bathroom so you have to walk around and find one. HELL ON EARTH. Most of the items are behind plexiglass and require assistance to access, if they are ever in stock. Pricing is not competitive and they ALWAYS have less than half of the registers/self checkout stands open. This is our go to target since it's so close and it's always been pretty clean and organized with not too many people even on the weekends which is always nice! I only go to this location if I am shopping for other stuff (i.e. bath, and Bodyworks or Nordstrom's rack) and/or in the area and just need a few things. This is not a good Target to do bulk shopping due to it's confusing and far away parking situation. I've also seen more homeless people wandering the aisles of this Target than any other location in LA proper. As far as merchandise goes, this location has a great assortment of anything you may need for your home or for yourself! It's usually pretty clean too. When I arrived at my hotel, The Intercontinental today, I noticed they had a location directly across the street and they were open late on a Christmas Eve-- that's an automatic five in my book! The store was very neat, but as I'm not familiar with the layout, I struggled to find almost everything. I asked several different employees about the location of various items, they were all very friendly and helpful. I like this Target a lot. ...and I come from a long history of Targets and living close to Targets. I haven't been in or paid much attention to other modern Targets in the US but this one seems to have an extrordinarily good selection of food and grocery products. I don't know if it's a flagship or a Target PLUS store (I just made that up but you know what I mean... Walmart had designations for it's base model stores and addition tags for ones with extra amenities like Groceries and in-store restaurants) for all I know they6 may have upped their game and raised the bar on ALL stores and this may just be par for the course. I am provoked and angered by the fact that they close an hour earlier than other Targets in the area even during week before xmas when they used to extend hours. Service here sucks, took 15 minutes to open the high valued deodorant. Then you get to park underground, which smells like it's a homeless encampment at night, then you get to walk these empty tunnels from the parking lot to the store, easily 80-100 yards. I was there for about an hour, didn't get what I came for, Xmas stuff, selection limited. As I left in disgust, I forgot to validate my parking ticket, so the machine was asking me for $24.50 for the hour. Didn't feel like walking a football field length back to Target, so just followed another car out closely, and the gate stays up. I will not be back to this store ever....they must make $$$ by taking advantage of all the people living within walking distance. I'm writing this as a healthcare professional to warn everyone to avoid this CVS pharmacy at all costs due to the actions of the pharmacist, Shaun Shay, and his assistant. Their behavior was unprofessional, rude, and disrespectful. Here's what happened: I went to pick up my prescriptions before a two-week international trip. I had worked hard to arrange everything in advance, yet they failed to notify me that I couldn't pick up one prescription due to a timing issue. When I asked for help, they assumed I was "drug-seeking" just because I'm a student. Despite my attempts to explain, they didn't believe me, and when I asked if they would speak with my student health provider to clear things up, they outright refused. Even though they knew I was about to miss my flight, they showed zero empathy and made no effort to help. As someone who's dedicated their career to healthcare, I was appalled. My advice? Don't waste your time trying to reason with these individuals. If you experience unprofessional treatment, report them to the board instead. I'm writing this from my plane, leaving without my essential medications for two weeks. Please, be warned and protect yourself from a similar experience. I enjoy coming to this target. Yes it's smaller than your typical target but you can find your essentials here. I like coming here for all my cosmetics and hair essentials. The employees are nice and helpful if you ever need anything they are there to assist you. I have never had any issues here. And they even have a Starbucks inside. Parking: they have a parking structure and you get free parking with validation. Although there have been a few times it's charged me $1 which is not bad for DTLA. read more

This is easily the worst Target I've ever been to, and has to be one of the worst in the United States. It is completely infuriating to shop here. Almost every item is locked behind glass, and there are very few employees working at a time. You will have to wait a minimum of 20 minutes to retrieve an item. In addition, the self checkout machines are constantly broken. After a few tries at this Target (because it's close to my apartment) I've taken my business elsewhere which has caused a huge improvement in my mental health. read more

This is the only Target I've ever been to that doesn't let you use their bathroom. The employees were weird about it too. One gave me a dead-eyed stare like a cop who doesn't want to hear your excuses, and the other seemed to enjoy repeating that I should go to the Food Court (where the code wasn't working) like he was reading a script. Look, I get that it may be more of a challenge to clean and monitor the bathroom in a crowded urban area, but you're Target. Solve the problem. Don't dump it off on the Food Court. Welp. If you're on any type of time constraint be sure to avoid this target. I love the location but I had to go in for a few specific things and when I went to get a few make up items: all are under lock and key and no one was around to help. I understand theft concerns but not only was this frustrating, it was uncomfortable. I saw this for basic necessities too so a quick trip is no longer an option because you have to find a human to unlock the cases for a deodorant. It's weird. Customer service was also poor and dismissive which I assume is now company culture? Don't know but the experience does not align with their marketing. Some huge perks to this downtown Target 1. Their hours are SUPER EARLY for a Target. 7:00 AM and 8:00 AM year round is pretty nice. 2. Starbucks inside (free refills are pretttty nice). 3. Stocked items are pretty locked down, so if you're looking to go in and out quick, look for an employee as your approaching places like laundry, toys and alcohol. 4. You have to park in the tower that accessible via 6th Street or at 7th & Figueroa (right in between 2 lanes and a freeway entrance. 5. They have curbside pickup, so know that you don't have to take that giant TV up and out the store, through the maze of escalators and elevators and to the parking garage, you can pull up on Figueroa and call the drop off attendants. Enter on the 2nd floor. Get your parking validated. read more

To shop here takes 2x as long as other stores because lots of isles are locked up behind glass, and you have to flag down an employee to get a simple shampoo bottle, for example. This is probably due to all the transients in this area and their shoplifting habits. Oh and in addition, their "validation" isn't free parking, only discounts it. So you get the privilege of paying $6-12 extra on top of your shopping! How ridiculous is California becoming?! read more

This place has really gone downhill since the pandemic ended. You walk in and the hand sanitizer machine is "broken," the bathroom has been "out of order" for months, and everything you need is locked up like a prison commissary with no one to be found to help. I waved my hand under some stupid sensor to summon help 5 times but no one came. I stood there for 10 minutes like a moron waiting before I just left my cart and walked home. I ordered what I needed off Amazon. It'll arrive tomorrow. I won't be back to that Target until Monkeypox threatens to shut them down. Then they'll move mountains to make sure bathroom is working, sanitizers are filled, help is available, etc., so they can be one of the few stores allowed stay open and take our money during the next pandemic. read more

Horrible service. I was checking the line for self check out and a lady cut in line in front of me I didn't say anything just kept going to check the stalls to see if there was one available. When an employee saw both of us checking they asked if we were together we weren't and I said so and then I was told if I'm in a rush I can just go to the last stall. Yes thank you I was in a rush but the other person is the one the cut infront of me. The employee should have made any comment. And definitely should have called me rude. I did nothing wrong. And even so the other person even said for me to go first but I was still called rude? Like wtf. Horrible employee and horrible customer service. So I had to get some self care products and I was in the area of this location. Why not stop by I thought to my self. First of all the parking is really confusing, it is a parking structure but needs some work on the signs for directions towards your destination. This location is in the heart of downtown Los Angeles so I would expect the store to be busy which it was! I was there to purchase one thing which was some clippers. These clippers were locked up so I guess no one would shop lift them, I had to ask for assistance. The first young lady who helped me was very nice and sweet, but she did not have the key she called for the key holder and wow some one was not having a good day. Martha was her name I believe, the worst customer service I have seen in while. First off she was very rude to began with. I asked how her day was and she totally ignored the question and just rudely asked want I wanted. I told her the one I wanted to purchase and she began to reach for another one. I'm not sure if she had a problem hearing or she just was not listening to anything. When she got the one I was going to purchase she wouldn't even let me look at it to make sure it was the correct one. When I got it from her and made sure it was the correct one she began to say she would have to take it to the front so I can purchase the item. When I was giving it back to her she snatched it out of my hand and took it too the front. It was shocking how bad her customer service was. The guy at the cash register was nice.
