I have been going to this nail salon for years and have been going to their hairstylist Hilda for 20+ years now. Hilda recently acquired this business and has made major improvements to the salon! Talk about major renovation. Everything is so nice, clean, classy, and, the prices to their services are very reasonable. I love going to this place even though I live 35 miles away because they treat their customers like how they want to be treated. They are like family really. Hilda, Karine, Holly, Cindy are all professionals, and deliver great customer service. They're experts at what they do, and that is to make every customer feel relaxed, clean, princess for a day. I don't know why anyone would go here. The entire experience was unpleasant. This place was recommended to us by a friend, we need to reconsider our friendship.. jk. Seriously though my list of complaints is LONG... 1) We walk in, the lady in the front of this tiny salon is standing there, NO MASK! We're still in the middle of a global pandemic! 2) Upon making the appointment we requested specific nail technicians who had been recommended to us, we weren't given those nail technicians. 3) The guy working on my nails was extremely rough. He was using a wooden stick for pushing back cuticles and when cutting them and my dead skin he was not cutting through and then ripping the excess skin off. 4) My friend's gel mani nails didn't even last a week. 5) I was in pain the entire time, he used a super thick filer and was definitely too rough with it. My poor pinkie was burning. 6) Once the cleaning was done I was passed on to another technician to put the polish, hate it when they do that, who do you tip in that situation? 7) They charge for gel removal even though they just used the grinder to remove them. Normally they don't charge for gel removal if you're getting gel again. 8) Pedicures are done in a plastic bucket. No thanks. 9) Not cheap. Sometimes if you're trying to get your nails done on a budget you overlook some flaws, but not this time. 10) My friend's nail was broken and the lady just put the polish on the broken nail without trying to even the nail out! 11) Polish was not put on nicely, I had to point out a cotton strand she had left just in my polish. Bottom line this place was a disaster. The only positive point I can make is they had cute colors. Make your way down the street to Euphoria Nail Salon located next to Starbucks. I got my nails done last Thursday. This hasn't even last one whole week. My polish is already chipping. Service was not ok. I booked an appointment and my friend had to wait 35 minutes for her to get serviced even though we had an appointment. I thought it was shady that when I tipped for two of the girls, one of the girls took the whole tip. They messed up on my toes too. I got a nice purple and when it was applied it was a nasty dull purple. I won't be back. read more

The best! I have been looking for a nail salon for a few months now and I've been having the worst experiences. My luck turned around and I finally found my forever nail salon! I hear all the ladies there are amazing but I absolutely love Lucy she takes her time and pays attention to detail. I walked in with some crazy looking nails from a previous salon and Lucy got me all the way right! I walked out with brand new nails completely in love with them. I showed her a picture of what I like and boom she gave exactly that. She is so talented and sweet! Prepare to be in her seat for a bit BUT it's completely worth it. "Not-so-excellent nails" Please do yourself a favor and do your nails at home or somewhere else. I went in to get an emergency fill before a date in the area.. and the results were worse then before. The color was outside the lines and on my skin, and uneven. The Fill itself was horrible as well. I could see the line from my previous full set through the fill.. and it was a very painful process. Local family owned business that gives the best mani-pedi in the city. It used to be difficult to get an appointment at this salon they were so busy all the time. Due to Covid they are literally hanging on by their fingernails. I've been coming here since the day the opened and if you prefer a down to earth, no pretentious frills salon by experienced, sincere, respectful, lovely people give them a go. My mom asked me for some quality time, to which I obliged. I haven't stepped foot in a salon since my wedding in 2012, primarily because I picked up the hobby of doing it myself, and rarely get pedis since I'm always in pumps for work. At any rate, I said yes, and while my mom got a mani/pedi, I just opted for the pedi. Although there was an available seat/station, the available worker continued to play hearts on the desktop. I was just about done waiting (my mom was already half-way through both of her things, and I didn't want her waiting on me), when I was finally asked to sit. The pedi itself was fine. I wish she had done a little bit more with the pumice stone. I don't have calloused soles, but going over my arch once isn't exactly the norm either. They stayed within the lines, no chips thus far (five days now) and still a nice shine, but still glad I didn't pay for it myself. She filed some of my toes square and the rest round - again, no biggie since no one seems them, but not really what you'd expect to pay for. I have no idea how long this place has been around, as it wasn't the one I normally frequented when I was still getting regular acrylics/gels/pedis at Glendale salons. They do take credit cards though, for an extra $1 charge. read more

I called this horrible nail salon to make an appointment for a full set long coffin shaped and was told to come in at 4 and get my nails done with kim. So i drove to this nail shop and ended up coming early to my appointment just to find out that all of a sudden she cannot do my nails because she cannot do coffin shaped at all. So i asked why I was then given an appointment with her if she cannot do it? And no one responded to me and just ignored me so I ask for the person I spoke with over the phone and they all replied "she's not here" while the other customers kind of gave me smirk because they knew I was being lied to. I wasted almost 20 minutes waiting for the "manager" just to find out I will have to wait another 10-15 minutes before that "manager" comes. The employees and the manager were HORRIBLE!!! They made me drive and go there for NO REASON! Avoid this place at all costs. Not to mention while all of this was happening, a pregnant woman walking in and asked for a pedicure so the employee put her in a regular chair and put a tub underneath. When this poor woman complained that this is uncomfortable for her, the employee replied "no worry, you okay" so that customer got up and left. Shortly I did the same, after standing there for 20 minutes and not receiving any help for something I had an APPOINTMENT for with Kim. This place is shady and I would never suggest it to anybody. And if the "manager" is reading this just know that your employees did nothing to make their mistake right and clearly is not helping the business with their attitude and no sense of customer service!! read more

They should consider a name change. Far from excellent. Rude and unacommodating. I went in for a Manicure and Pedicure. Since My nails tend to chip right away from work I asked for gel manicure on my nails for them to last longer. While the girl put the gel on I realized one of them was bubbling up. I asked her to fix it but she said it was ok. To come back if it messed up. It's hard to find time to go in and get them done let alone find time to come back just to fix one nail. Makes no sense but I don't want to argue took her word and left. The extra money I spent went in the trash because my nail chipped the next day and I was not able to go in right away I told them once I went back but it's not like they cared. If you don't like going to places that just take your money and don't value your patronage. Then this is definitely a place to stay away from. read more

I've been going to Excellent Nails since they opened. Vincent and staff are great! I only do a regular mani/pedi and I always go to Holly. She's very efficient and does a great/clean job. If Holly is not available, Hannah (owner's wife) and Cindy are good also. It's really best to make an appointment ahead of time. Sometimes they are too busy and won't be able to take walk-ins. No matter the shape, length or design they can do it all. It is a small, clean, friendly and professional nail salon which also does waxing. This time we went my mom got a fill for her acrylic set and had her nails shortened finished with a light green gel polish. For myself, I got a full set coffin shaped with silver polish on top and red under the nail because I wanted it to be the red bottom shoe of nails and also had my eyebrows waxed and we couldn't be happier with the out come as usual. They accept walk ins, however, making an appt. will save you the wait. parking is limited in front, there is some in the back, I don't know how to get to it. I'm visiting from Las Vegas for a bridal shower and didn't have time to get my nails done back home so while running other errands, I decided to stop by this place to get my mani/pedi. I drove around for a bit before opting for this spot. The main attraction at first was the fact that there is parking right up front. When I walked in, the salon was a bit lack luster and considering the cleanliness of the salons in Vegas, it left me wanting more but I had no time to go else where. They took me right away. The pedi was alright. An older woman did everything up to the color. She was very gentle and motherly with her touch. I dont have dry or calloused feet so it was sufficient for me. Now the mani is why this place is getting 4 stars. I had acrylic nails on and wanted them taken off and just a simple manicure. My nails over the last couple months have gotten very thin and sensitive and they just needed to breathe. The technician noticed right away how sensitive my nails were and really took her time soaking and filing my nails off for about half an hour, a little at a time. The cut off/lift off method would have been far too painful and probably would have taken my nail with it. She was patient and precise. I also have really dry cuticles and she cleaned them up beautifully. Over all I left as a very happy client. I really appreciated the time that was taken to do the job right. Thank you. read more

I have been a long time customer of Vincent's staff since 1995. They were recommended by my grandmother and my aunt who have been their customers for more than 20 years. My usual mani is Holly and my pedi is Yean (Donna was my other usual pedi, but may she RIP). All the staff are otherwise good. They are able to accomodate me for last minute appt even when they are very busy. Yean makes sure that my nails are vey clean and she is very detail oriented and gentle. Holly does my acryclic nails and it lasts for more than 2 weeks. Other staff like Cindy, Vincent and Hanna are also very good. Their price is very reasonable for the good job they do on your nails. I dont mind driving 40 minutes just to go to this salon. I tried several nail salons near my house but i ended up disappointed with the service and ended up wishing i just drove to Excellent nails. They have so many customers so i recommend getting an appt at least 2 weeks in advance so you can get the time you prefer. They also take walk-ins but expect to wait as the scheduled customers will have the priority or come in in a nonbusy day like Monday- Thursday. Otherwise, nothing compares to their personal touch service. read more
