The person who cut the line when there are 10 people lined up, and ignorant pharmacy staff who still did help that linecutter

i'm currently in the line to pick up my prescription medication. walgreen location Vermont & 6th st, Los Angeles, CA. There are people cutting in line, and people in the line complaining to the staff and the staff members don't care and help those cutting in line. What's the point of standing in line when the staff don't care about the people in line and still help the people cutting in line. Very disappointed customer service

    Crazy loud witch display!

This is one of the only 24 hour Walgreens in the SGV located in the heart of downtown LA. The store layout is similar to most stores but definitley the shelves are full of products unlike some other locations. It was quite busy with plenty of foot traffic close to midnight on a weekday. There were at least four team members on the sales floor and registers. The pharmacy also had a line of a few patients and the drive thru was active as well. The cleanliness of the store was just ok considering the location and time I visited. I am happy to finally have made the visit to this specific location to see the whole operational workflow.

Inconsiderate and disrespectful staff members weren't helpful. I came twice to this location to pick up a package on behalf of my friend. I'm aware that they're just doing their jobs according to store policy. But, they didn't do anything else to resolve the issue.

    Package , order label , contents .

I was not going to leave a review as the issue was handled in person at store, but since I was asked via email the following day about my experience and seeing the low score at this store at 1.8/5 stars currently , I'm going to type about it here and the original source that asked. Yesenia , made my pick up experience for my photo order horrible and handled it badly . It came to the discovery that my ship to store order (shown in photo to backup my claim) was shipped with usps and was mislabeled as the Walgreens order sticker was packaged inside the package where it's supposed to be placed outside package. This seemed to be at the fault of whoever packaged it and perhaps Walgreens needs to investigate who so this does not occur again as this is what made the issue start and made it unusual as fed ex is the carrier that Walgreens uses. However I also discovered that they do sometimes receive packages from USPS, but the label is placed outward of package . However a package decides to be shipped, customers do not choose the carriers when an order was placed as it automatically ships from the sender, wherever that may be . This matter was not my fault . She did not seem to understand this as she kept making it seem like it was my fault due to her tone and the words she used to speak with by clarifying the order as personal mail and they do not accept this and she would return it, and if it gets lost during transit, it's not her problem . I assume I wouldn't be refunded by this statement had this occurred. If a store associate is going to return something , they should at least search for the recipient name on their system to see if it might be a Walgreens order , which in fact it was and she must accept it. Instead it was marked to be returned to postal services and I was not contacted and not given any warning of this. The only reason I got the package was because I checked the tracking number manually and i picked it up soon after it was delivered . Otherwise this would have occurred and Yesenia made that very clear and it sounded like a threat due to her tone . I proved to her that it was not personal mail as I opened it and showed her the contents match the description of the order via the email sent to me of the order when it was shipped and the fact that it did come from Walgreens. She did not seem to care and kept repeating herself of what she said prior . I got fed up and asked to speak to Nazareth the store manager as I'm already familiar with him as I've had an issue with this Walgreens before with a double charge . Both him and Diana arrived . They took care of the matter and said they would speak to Yesenia and try to prevent this from happening again with both Yesenia's reaction to the matter and the carrier label issue . Nazareth was very professional and Diana was very nice . I liked them . Yesenia is mean and seemed to me like she is too comfortable with her job where she feels she can act entitled . She needs to be humbled down . As if another issue happens again with her, I will take this matter further to Human Resources and possibly legal matters .

If there is "0" star, I will be giving them "0" star! We arrived at this location at 6:55pm for our 7:10pm Covid Vaccine appointment since it shows in the confirmation to arrive 15mins before the appointment, when we arrived we checked in right away thru the QR code, we are only 2nd in line but still it took 15mins for the pharmacist to assist us. After getting our information suddenly the pharmacist asked me for my insurance information and I told her my insurance is Kaiser and she responded "well if you have Kaiser, why don't you get the vaccine thru Kaiser" and on top of my head "wow! Really? That's how you speak with a customer?" But I responded that I need to have a vaccine before Jan.25 and Kaiser's earliest appointment is 2/1/25. The pharmacist told me "we are not partner with Kaiser so you need to pay $205.99" and I was like "why would I pay for Covid vaccine well in fact, it shows in your website that it's "FREE" and I added "if you guys are charging for COVID VACCINE, you should update your website. She responded again saying "I cannot do anything in the website, my manager is not here but I will tell my manager tomorrow" then I told her you guys let us wait for our appointment and we wasted our time for nothing then we left. When we are exiting the parking, we saw that this walgreens location are advertising "FREE FLUE AND COVID-19 VACCINES WALK INS WELCOME GET YOURS TODAY! We are all surprised that after this experience with the pharmacist we are going to see this poster! We fee that we got scammed!

Good luck trying to call the pharmacy department they'll just place you on hold forever. Clearly they need more staff.

Maneki Neko also operates a sister concept store called CATCH Little Tokyo located on the third floor of Japanese Village Plaza. [Parking]: As long as there are no special events in Little Tokyo, the Aiso Parking Garage (101 Judge John Aiso St) is your best bet. [Selection]: The shop has transitioned from primarily selling traditional decor / ceramics / cosmetics (which the shop still carries but in a smaller section) to focusing mainly on plushies and blind boxes featuring IPs like Sanrio, Pokémon, and other Japanese anime. Even though an officially licensed Sanrio store is located next door, Maneki Neko still has an excellent selection of Sanrio items that you can't find at the next-door licensed Sanrio store. [Conclusion]: This is one of those shops where I can probably find a Sanrio plush that I am willing to buy as a gift. It is a perfect example of a thriving shop that has learned to adapt by keeping up with changing consumer tastes.

The shop itself is on the smaller side, but they really pack a lot into the space. They carry a little bit of everything from snacks and blind boxes to household items and stationery. There's also a huge selection of Sanrio and anime merchandise, so it's a great place to find cute collectibles or small gifts. Whether you're shopping for yourself or looking for something fun for someone else, chances are you'll walk out with something. The staff has always been friendly during my visits, and while the store can get pretty busy at times, the overall experience is still enjoyable. Prices are fairly decent for the area which is definitely a plus. If you happen to be in Little Tokyo and enjoy browsing cute or quirky shops, I'd definitely recommend stopping by--it's worth the visit!

Every time I come here I always end up spending a couple hundred for big hauls because I want everything haha, but prices aren't bad at all. This last time I got a free diffuser as a gift with purchase! They also suggested buying these Japanese cough drops since I was headed to a concert (which - good looking out! was absolutely needed and helpful). They even checked the ingredients in Japanese to make sure that I wouldn't have any allergic reactions which was so sweet! Service has been consistently great every time that I've visited here. This last time I went was super early on a weekday though, so wasn't busy at all. It was shortly after they opened because I happened to have an appointment in the area and needed some beauty products for a trip. They were great with answering all of my beauty questions! The only con may be parking when it's busy or later in the day. I've tried coming here at night before but struggled to find parking when the lot was full and there weren't any spots on the street nearby. So definitely try to plan to come earlier in the day/when it's less busy.

However, I believe there is room for improvement when it comes to customer service. On multiple visits, I've noticed that one employee, who regularly wears a face mask, appears to follow me throughout the store while checking what is in my shopping basket. At first, I assumed it was a coincidence, but during my most recent visit, my friend noticed the same behavior. Being closely watched while shopping creates an uncomfortable experience and makes it difficult to browse at ease. As a person of color, this interaction was particularly unsettling. I hope management takes this feedback into consideration so all customers can feel welcomed and comfortable while shopping.

We were interested in stopping because it was our first time there and wanted to see it, however, we only had approximately one hour to explore. The shopping center wasn't too busy yet since it was so early, but also most all of the stores were closed as well. We did not get the complete experience of everything that this mall offers. A couple of bakeries were open when we visited and I am glad that we stopped! They allowed us to get some sweet treats and pastries, and they actually became one of the highlights of our trip to Little Tokyo! Although some of the stores weren't opened yet, it was great just to explore the area! All of the storefronts at the mall and surrounding Plaza were decorated for the holiday season. This brought an extra layer of charm to the shopping trip and helped create a cozy, festive ambiance! The quietness of the early morning hours created a amazing environment for us to walk through and enjoy our short little excursion to this beautiful shopping center! Although my visit was brief, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I would love to go back again, but next time during afternoon or evening hours when all the shops are open so I can finally see everything the Little Tokyo Mall has to offer!

I've seen Anime Jungle evolve and take over the entirety of the underground mall area. RIP to Fairytale Boutique, Fickle Wish, Xenon, and the day and age where Anime Jungle had their own dedicated shop for visual kei and J-rock. Never forget what you've lost. Other businesses have come and gone, like the mochi ice cream place. If you ever get mochi ice cream at the supermarket, it's likely from them and the macaron place that I loved, but alas, tis the world we live in. Other than the Anime Jungle that I go to and Little Akihabara LA for their pop ups and events, I also go to Monkey Pants, sometimes I swing into the Sanrio shop (they usually do the character meet and greets here, if not at JapanLA or somewhere egregiously far), Tokyo Japanese Lifestyle (they got staff POSTED there due to the thefts I'm sure, but I've gotten my bearded dragon keychain here and now I have them in all sizes), Catch (located on the 3rd floor and is MASSIVE for blind boxes and other goods), Neko Stop (I've gotten better deals here than the location in the Santa Anita Mall), and I've stopped in the Nijiya when I've been trapped there to get snacks or some bottled tea. Love the bakery there and the meat buns that they have (despite prices constantly rising due to the capitalist hellscape we live in) and the cafe to get affordable savory dango and takoyaki. The okonomiyaki place is one of the best, if not only places to get okonomiyaki at a place dedicated to the dish. Once in awhile they do a collab with multiple restaurants, not just at the mall too, such as Silent Hill F, Reincarnated into a Slime, during AX, Arknights, etc. Really drives the crowds and businesses here which is nice. Parking at the structure is a bit pricy and can get super fisted with bad drivers though, so keep that in mind.
