Every time I've tried to pick up a prescription at this location after calling it in and waiting 90 minutes to pick it up, the line at the store is an additional 60-90 minute wait. I understand the appeal of getting your prescription ordered here as it is open 24 hours but the wait time is criminal and staff seem unbothered and disgruntled (although likely because they deal with a lot of frustrated customers after those wait times). This is one of the only 24 hour Walgreens in the SGV located in the heart of downtown LA. The store layout is similar to most stores but definitley the shelves are full of products unlike some other locations. It was quite busy with plenty of foot traffic close to midnight on a weekday. There were at least four team members on the sales floor and registers. The pharmacy also had a line of a few patients and the drive thru was active as well. The cleanliness of the store was just ok considering the location and time I visited. I am happy to finally have made the visit to this specific location to see the whole operational workflow. read more

I've been trying to check the status of a prescription for THREE days & no one ever answers the pharmacy phone & to make matters worse, while on hold, every so often someone will pick up, DO NOT SAY A WORD & put it back on hold. EACH TIME I'm left on hold for about an hour before an automated voice comes on & say, the pharmacy is busy & hang up on me. I would not recommend this Walgreens location for prescription services. I was initially told my prescription would be ready within 90 minutes at 7 PM, yet when I arrived, it wasn't even in stock. The following day, I called ahead and was assured it would be ready by 11 AM. However, upon arriving at that time, it was still unavailable. I was not going to leave a review as the issue was handled in person at store, but since I was asked via email the following day about my experience and seeing the low score at this store at 1.8/5 stars currently , I'm going to type about it here and the original source that asked. Yesenia , made my pick up experience for my photo order horrible and handled it badly . It came to the discovery that my ship to store order (shown in photo to backup my claim) was shipped with usps and was mislabeled as the Walgreens order sticker was packaged inside the package where it's supposed to be placed outside package. This seemed to be at the fault of whoever packaged it and perhaps Walgreens needs to investigate who so this does not occur again as this is what made the issue start and made it unusual as fed ex is the carrier that Walgreens uses. However I also discovered that they do sometimes receive packages from USPS, but the label is placed outward of package . However a package decides to be shipped, customers do not choose the carriers when an order was placed as it automatically ships from the sender, wherever that may be . This matter was not my fault . She did not seem to understand this as she kept making it seem like it was my fault due to her tone and the words she used to speak with by clarifying the order as personal mail and they do not accept this and she would return it, and if it gets lost during transit, it's not her problem . I assume I wouldn't be refunded by this statement had this occurred. If a store associate is going to return something , they should at least search for the recipient name on their system to see if it might be a Walgreens order , which in fact it was and she must accept it. Instead it was marked to be returned to postal services and I was not contacted and not given any warning of this. The only reason I got the package was because I checked the tracking number manually and i picked it up soon after it was delivered . Otherwise this would have occurred and Yesenia made that very clear and it sounded like a threat due to her tone . I proved to her that it was not personal mail as I opened it and showed her the contents match the description of the order via the email sent to me of the order when it was shipped and the fact that it did come from Walgreens. She did not seem to care and kept repeating herself of what she said prior . I got fed up and asked to speak to Nazareth the store manager as I'm already familiar with him as I've had an issue with this Walgreens before with a double charge . Both him and Diana arrived . They took care of the matter and said they would speak to Yesenia and try to prevent this from happening again with both Yesenia's reaction to the matter and the carrier label issue . Nazareth was very professional and Diana was very nice . I liked them . Yesenia is mean and seemed to me like she is too comfortable with her job where she feels she can act entitled . She needs to be humbled down . As if another issue happens again with her, I will take this matter further to Human Resources and possibly legal matters . read more

Not only was I stuck on hold for two hours just to get hung up on, but when I actually go into the store, the wait times are horrible and the employees seem pretty disgruntled and not very helpful. I waited for 45 (with a screaming baby) why she tried to contact the surgeons office I showed her in my Walgreens history same script filled on 6/23. No sympathy, completely rude. This is to inform Walgreens and to warn to the entire LA community. WALGREENS on 6th Street is managed by a VILE, UNPROFESSIONAL and CRUEL person named "DAISY M." She denied me my right to my medications and feed me misinformation about their availability. DO NOT GO to WALGREENS on 6TH STREET because they will treat you with DISRESPECT, COLDNESS and CRUELTY. My grievance and dissatisfaction regarding the service I received at the Walgreens pharmacy, located on 6th Street in downtown Los Angeles, has been brought up to their corporate offices. On April 19, 2025, I called the Walgreens pharmacy to request a refill for my Cresemba medication. I was informed that it was out of stock but would be ordered and available for pick-up on April 21, along with my other medications. Upon arriving on April 21, I was dismayed to find that only three of my five prescriptions were ready, and when I inquired about the Cresemba, the attendant informed me it would need to be reordered for pick-up on April 23. The interaction I had with the drive-thru attendant was troubling; she dismissed my concerns regarding my life-saving medications and exhibited a lack of proficiency in operating the pharmacy's computer system, which further added to my anxiety. That evening, I attempted to verify my medication's status via phone. After being placed on hold repeatedly, I was met with a technician who failed to verify my identity and abruptly ended the call rather than provide assistance. This pattern continued when I sought to speak with the pharmacy manager, identified only as Daisy. When I finally spoke with her, her dismissive attitude and refusal to help were shocking. She claimed that the medication was no longer available, despite my knowledge that it had not been discontinued. I later learned from other Walgreens locations that my medication could indeed be ordered, illustrating a severe lack of communication and service at the 6th Street store. The contrast between my experiences there and those at other Walgreens was striking, as I ultimately found assistance from staff at different locations who were willing and able to help. The conduct of Daisy M., the pharmacy manager, raises significant concerns about the treatment of customers, particularly those who rely on medications for their health and wellbeing. Her handling of my requests was not only unprofessional but also displayed a lack of empathy and concern for customers' health. I urge the corporate office to investigate these practices at the 6th Street location, as they reflect poorly on the Walgreens brand and its commitment to customer care. It is critical that your staff, especially those in management positions, adhere to high standards of integrity and compassion when dealing with customers, particularly those who are vulnerable. We arrived at this location at 6:55pm for our 7:10pm Covid Vaccine appointment since it shows in the confirmation to arrive 15mins before the appointment, when we arrived we checked in right away thru the QR code, we are only 2nd in line but still it took 15mins for the pharmacist to assist us. After getting our information suddenly the pharmacist asked me for my insurance information and I told her my insurance is Kaiser and she responded "well if you have Kaiser, why don't you get the vaccine thru Kaiser" and on top of my head "wow! Really? That's how you speak with a customer?" But I responded that I need to have a vaccine before Jan.25 and Kaiser's earliest appointment is 2/1/25. The pharmacist told me "we are not partner with Kaiser so you need to pay $205.99" and I was like "why would I pay for Covid vaccine well in fact, it shows in your website that it's "FREE" and I added "if you guys are charging for COVID VACCINE, you should update your website. She responded again saying "I cannot do anything in the website, my manager is not here but I will tell my manager tomorrow" then I told her you guys let us wait for our appointment and we wasted our time for nothing then we left. Abysmal service and staff. 1) Store: (1) The team isn't well trained. Often no one at the photo/pickup counter, long waits. (2) The 10 cents charged for online orders being picked up is supposed to be refunded if you brought your own bag. Multiple times various staff (even the Manager!) says they don't know how to do that, weren't trained how to do that, so I had to call the main customer line and complain to get that refunded plus extra for the inconvenience. It's to the point where just can't do online order pickups b/c afraid of the hassle at that store. 2) Pharmacy: (1) First their call center picks up, wastes your time asking all the information and chatting with you, only to then just transfer you to their in-store pharmacy, which you then have to wait again in the queue and re-explain everything all over again. (2) Their phone system has issues, choosing to get a callback by clicking option 1 does nothing (just drops your call and is a beep beep beep sound) (3) Their app technology has issues connecting to their main system. The pharmacy keeps asking you to upload your insurance/what's your insurance, despite having already ordered there several times with the same insurance and uploading your insurance multiple times. (4) Worse is they get medication fills wrong and don't inform you! (a) Don't give you the full fill, only partial fill, and don't think to inform you as a patient. Only when you run out of the medication in a dire situation do you realize the pharmacy made a mistake. So always check the medication you get from them! (b) Even if you ask for certain brands over and over, they forget and may not give you the right one so have to check with them several times. (c) That includes whether they are even using the right insurance for you. If it looks much higher than it should be, it's b/c they may have used the wrong insurance for you (your old one on file, etc. and somehow "lost" the new one you provided ages ago and used several times already). (d) Tell you it's ready then you go and then when you show up, wait the long line, things are missing and you have to return several times as it keeps happening. (5) Understand they are very busy but this all just shows how disorganized they are. Was told to speak to a particular person and kept getting the phone transferred to random/different individuals 3-4 times or more. When you inform them of your frustration/upset at them messing up your medication (at the detriminent of your health) they just brush it aside, no apology, and move on to the next patient. I am a long time resident of Los Angeles, California and been a regular customer at the Walgreens Pharmacy on 6th Street and Vermont in Los Angeles, California for the past seven (7) years. I wanted to write a letter to Walgreens to highlight the exemplary service provided to me by Michelle N (and Walgreens Pharmacy) in assisting me in my efforts to refill my prescription, which has been stalled by my healthcare provider in a bureaucratic morass of confusion that is likely the fault of no one but just needs to be unraveled. I called Walgreens Pharmacy in the early evening of Saturday, January 18, 2024 and explained my problems and issues to Michelle N, who listened patiently and responsively and endeavored to resolve my problems, promising to follow through in her efforts to review and understand the voluminous notes in my files as well as contact my provider and then call me back the next day. I then received and informative and helpful telephone call from Michelle N, as she had promised, on Sunday evening, January 19, 2024, in which Michelle N informed me of her progress and in which she provided me with further directives as to how I should proceed to resolve my issues. I want everyone to know how much I appreciate the efforts and the compassion and empathy and personal service and kindness bestowed upon me by Michelle N and Walgreens Pharmacy in helping put my mind at ease as I seek to resolve these important issues. I truly feel as if Michelle N and Walgreens Pharmacy sincerely care about my pharmaceutical needs and are advocating on my behalf in my efforts to obtain the medications prescribed for me by my treating physicians. This level of support and service of Michelle N and Walgreens Pharmacy are priceless and exemplary and are a powerful testament to the quality of Walgreen Pharmacy's vital and important efforts to provide pharmaceutical services on a 24/7 basis to residents of the greater Los Angeles area. Since I've been starting my medicine September 2024, it has been hell ever other month getting my medicine refilled..... I get it... sometimes doctor didn't provide refills or there can be some delays.... So usually I call before hand..... and when I go to pick it up.... Great staff, great selection! The selection of items here varies greatly from food to electronics to personal items. But that's not what is great here... One of the friends that was with me had stolen gummy bears promptly upon our arrival and security threw him out immediately. I was MORTIFIED!!! We went to this very shitty Walgreens in pursuit of passport photos for our two small children. We'd already been to the CVS, which had a broken camera, and were not particularly happy to be running around Koreatown on a Sunday evening with a toddler and a baby. The parking lot for this Walgreens was carpeted with trash. I don't know if other businesses hire people to clean their parking lots or what, but this one struck me as unusually full of litter. The Walgreens itself wasn't especially nice either, and they didn't have a fucking functioning digital camera. Is it too much to ask that a drugstore that advertises passport photo service have a camera that isn't old and broken? I was grateful to the employee who pointed us toward the Staples next door, where we did successfully get those baby passport photos. My call was transferred to the head pharmacist, who told me there were three people ahead of me. After 20 minutes on hold, the phone rang as if someone picked up -- only for them to immediately place me back on hold. I am shocked at how blatantly rude these pharmacists are. I called today around 6:45pm to check my perscription status. A male answered and said it would be ready for pickup the following morning. He then was so snappy about insurance and coupons because I asked if I could just pay out of pocket. He then placed me on hold for some reason. While I was on said hold, I checked my Walgreens app I saw that my order had been cancelled with no option to reorder. Please note, this is a brand new perscription with a year expiration date. Someone then answers and without saying a word places me back on hold. This happened over 5 times. I waited on hold for as long as I could just out of spite. If it wasn't so shocking I would laugh. Now I'm trying to get my DEACTIVATED perscription reinstated with a different company. Do yourselves a huge favor and just don't bother with this location unless you also plan on picking up some advil for the huge headache that will ensue. Avoid the drive-through if you can, it says two lanes but they will take the one by the window first, making you wait 3x longer. I actually just left without being helped because they did not attend the right lane even though it said both lanes are open. The store needs to be cleaned the staff need to be educated or trained. First of all I walked into the store location on 3201 W 6th St, Los Angeles, CA 90020 I go there all the time. Most times when I go I don't get harrassed by employees at all except the security guard follows me around as if I am about to steal something. I try to ignore him. I think he does it to piss me off so I can go off because I litterely always pay for my orders. Every time I go to the store I am always recording not the store but just me and the stuff iam going to buy because I am a content creator. I try to educate people on the better choices to make in terms of snacks meals. A woman that works there as I am recording the fridge I am about to pick out my drinks from and she asks me, do you need any help? Since your recording. I was like no I am good if I needed help I would ask. It's not the reason I am recording. She then goes and tells the security guard I am recording and should stop. Yet the business itself or business owner has not ever authorized that rule. That lady along with the managers made it up. I record all the time and they never said anything and it's a great thing I had my camera on just to document the situation and report it. Also I walked in with stroller to put my groceries in so I really did not want the security guard or any one that works there to accuse me of stealing . Because they tend to do that to black people that walk in Expecially me and that's really what I do not need in my life to go in happy and walk out pissed. Looks like that's what Happened. The security guard told the cashier not to take my orders and cash me out or me pay for my food so he refused I asked if I could speak to the manager . He got the manager but first I asked him why they didn't wanna take my order, he said it was because of an altercation when really their was no altercation whatsoever the security guard asked me not to record.
