Got this spot for take out and it sucked. Tasted more like Chinese food. Not only that but it lacked flavor. The wings were soggy. Pad kee mao lacked sauce. Spicy basil fried rice wasn't spicy. It almost looks white in the picture. They were cheap on the shrimp. Maybe it's more of an in person spot but I was very dissatisfied.

Cute casual spot with a nice amount of seating. I came on a Sunday and I didn't have to wait for a table, but there was a steady flow of people. The staff was not consistent with each table. Maybe our order wasn't put in right, but it took a while for just 1 dish. The staff gave no explanation to why that dish came later? The food was good and dine-in was ok.

A cute casual spot to grab some thai food. My friend and I came on a Sunday and we had to wait about 20 minutes for a table. Oddly there was one open in corner that seemed to be used for bags. When another party came in, it was odd that they were serviced first. It took a while to get someone to take our order. It seemed like the staff isn't consistent and the food comes out out of order. We ordered the duck curry and the crab fried rice. Both were solid but wished the duck was more tender. The mango sticky rice was a special and were excited for it, but found the fruit to be on the sour side. Overall, it was an ok experience.

Delicious, friendly, a-roi. The So High School is so high school (i mean, sour). The restaurant is stylish with nice decorations.

Located in Clinton Hill Brooklyn, this local Thai cuisine spot is an absolute treasure that's been delighting taste buds for over two decades! Cozy and packed with locals , it's clear this place is a community favorite. The food? Absolutely phenomenal. Every dish bursts with authentic flavors, and the prices are incredibly reasonable. Plus the staff are friendly and the services are amazing. We ordered : -Angel shrimp : so crispy and yummy with the plum sauce -Garlic wings : so yummy and crispy -Duck salad : it was so flavorful -Coconut soup : creamy and so flavorful -Crab fried rice : loaded with generous chunks of crab -Chuchee Curry Red snapper : A massive 1.5 lbs of succulent fish in a delectable curry sauce -Thai boat noodles : loaded with a lot of meat -Salted egg yolk with mixed seafood : This is a new coming dish that's simply irresistible. -Mango sticky rice : a perfect dessert -Mocktails : Nom Yen , Summer Salt and Softly spoken . Don't miss out their refreshing mocktails - the perfect complement to your meal. Join the locals and discover why this spot has been a beloved part of the community for so long. Asian broccoli with crispy chicken .. a bit spicy but very good

If you live or work in the area, then you probably know about this spot. If not, you should def come in and give them a try. They have a lunch special that includes a small appetizer for about $11. The staff is welcoming & helpful. It's always nicely decorated with fresh flowers on each table. The special drinks are really good, although I haven't tried them all.. softly spoken and summer salt are very good & refreshing esp if you like lychee or passion fruit. I've come here a few times and my go to is the spicy green bean for lunch with chicken dumplings or the Asian broccoli with crispy chicken (instead of the pork) it's spicy so proceed with caution. But it is SOO GOOD! I've also recently tried the wonton soup which is a nice appetizer as well. There's a variety of great tasting things here & you can tell the neighborhood agrees. Come and check them out, you won't be disappointed :)

Delivery order for Pan Fried Noodles with Chicken and extra Shrimp, and this is what I received. What a joke.

Came here first lunch on a Monday and it did not disappoint! With their lunch special, you get an app and an entree which is a steal. The food is also really good! I got the drunken noodles and my friend got the pad Thai and we both loved what we got. Overall 10/10 place to grab lunch in the area :)

Me and my cousin were walking around trying to find something to eat and decided to stop by Myrtle Thai. The food was sooo good. I got the chicken dumplings -- honestly a 10/10 and the sriracha wings were a 1000/1000 freshly cooked, perfectly seasoned, and not even that spicy. You can ask for the sauce on the side too. Definitely recommend, it was fire.

4.5 stars. Pro: - Service was excellent and although busy they moved quickly. Servers were attentive and water was refilled quickly. -Large menu with plenty of options - loved the vegetarian options, Rice Berry offered as a side - Food was great and will priced -Great drink options, including lychee Thai iced tea More my personal preference, but pork belly was very fatty and probably would go for a Leaner protein for the basil Rice next time. Plenty of indoor seating, and they do turn over tables quickly. Also strong take out service and can't wait to try more of their menu.

Chicken Dumpling Spring Roll Basil Fried Rice Pad See Ew Lunch Special

Lunch special prices are 10.95 which included an appetizer. The chicken dumplings were good but the chicken pad see ew was okay. Chicken didn't have flavor had to add sriracha for flavoring.

Our group of 4 started with a bottle of Pinot Grigio and a few appetizers to share, namely: Som tum papaya salad and dumplings curry. For the main entree, my eyes caught the attention of clay pot mix-fried rice with shrimp, chicken, sweet sausage, and my partner chose shrimp pad thai. Nothing really stood out with the dishes; I found it to be a bit Americanized, having eaten in so many Thai restaurants around New York City. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner here; our food came in timely fashion, and the customer service is good as well, but it's probably not your place if you are seeking a more authentic Thai-style cooking.

The shrimp donuts were a must!! Famous for its crispy, savory, and addictive flavor. Easily our favorites!! The Mama Tom Yum Grilled River Prawns brought real heat, creativity, and tang. We also tried the crispy chicken with egg noodles, which was rich, saucy, crunchy, and a fun twist on comfort food. Our dessert was mango coconut sticky rice which was soft, sweet, and the perfect finish!!

Every single dish was fantastic and came with little chili sauces or garnishes or spicy sauce etc which brought the dishes together beautifully. The hostess was extremely friendly and kind and gave her recommendation as well. She said takeout would be 15 minutes (it would be hour long wait to dine in at 8pm on a Thursday night). They were absolutely packed despite the time. We ordered the pad see ew with shrimp, the crab fried rice (amazing), the Pak Mor which is a sweet and savory rice roll that comes with coconut cream dipping sauce (drool worthy), and last but not least the Kao Tom Haeng which also comes with a tasty broth on the side. I'd say that the pad see ew was the weakest dish of what we ordered but it was still tasty. I think it would have been nicer with a different protein, perhaps chicken or tofu. My friends and I have never dined in but the ambience looks very warm and inviting. If you love delicious and flavorful food then this is the place for you! Look no further!! Highly recommend!!!! Our server was excellent--super friendly and attentive. The cocktails were delicious. We ordered the spring rolls, khao soi, and the banana leaf-wrapped branzino. The khao soi was definitely the standout. It was so rich and flavorful, but also really spicy, so pay attention to the chili pepper heat rating! The only disappointment was the branzino. We were expecting a delicate filet wrapped in a banana leaf, but it was actually more like a dense mound of flaked fish. It had a pretty fishy taste and just wasn't for us. We'd skip it next time. The restaurant has a really cozy, inviting vibe, but it's loud. It was hard to have a conversation without feeling like we were shouting.

PLEASE get the mango stick rice cocktail omg it was gone in like 5 sips because it was so good. The tuna ceviche was so refreshing and the sauce had a little kick to it which I absolutely loved! It was like a sprinkle of Thai on a classic tuna ceviche. Note the taro chips are a little thicker than a typical chip! The pork jowl wasn't as crispy as I expected but it was still flavorful and the portion size was huge, considering how it was an appetizer. We got pineapple lychee crispy duck, crab fried rice, and kana crispy pork over rice as our entree. ALL WERE SO GOOD! The curry for the pineapple lychee crispy duck was so creamy and flavorful, with the duck portion being huge and being the perfect texture. I loved that it was crispy and didn't get soggy fast in the curry. The crab fried rice was top tier as there were SO MANY HUGE CRAB PIECES!! The sweet fruit with the savory fish worked way better than I expected. · Pineapple Fried Rice - came with shrimp, nice wok aroma, and that perfect sweet-tangy pineapple kick. · Pineapple Lychee Crispy Duck (GF) - duck skin was nice and crispy, and the coconut-based sauce with lychee and pineapple kept it from feeling heavy or greasy. · Branzino Chili Lime (GF) - came out piping hot, classic Thai-style sour broth that paired perfectly with the fish. No fishy taste at all, and the texture was tender. Even the drinks and dessert weren't overly sweet, which was a pleasant surprise. Overall, really enjoyed the meal here -- flavors are solid, service was friendly, and you can feel the effort they put into the experience. Definitely coming back!

Pad Kee Mao (aka Drunken Noodles), chicken $15.00 Stir-fried flat rice noodle, bamboo shoots, garlic, basil, fresh chili, onion, carrot, string bean, bell pepper, long hot chili The flat rice noodle quantity was sufficient, but minimal and there were too much onion, insufficient string bean, two paucity pieces of carrot. I dislike bamboo shoot which is not a standard ingredient for this particular entrée. I think the bamboo shoot tainted this entrée. I am a traditionalist conservative which bean sprouts is a good substitute variation for bamboo shoot vegetable including string bean. This entrée is my favorite default and as a caveat, if any Thai restaurant or cafe do not offer on their menu I refuse entry to patronize. This entrée enticed my interest and embedded the lunch meal menu for the reasonable price. I personally despise and do not consume spicy hot foods, but occasionally consume mild or very mild in the smallest measurement of the Scoville scale which I specifically requested, but received medium hot spicy. The waitress forewarned me the intense heat level on the Scoville scale as Thai cultural spicy with two or more bird's eye chilies for a high level of spiciness. The spiciness of chili peppers were, in my opinion, medium spicy. Despite the intense medium heat spiciness, the stir-fried noodles lacked flavor with, tender chicken, minimal vegetables, and Thai basil in a bland taste. I wish I chosen shrimp as the protein. Pad Kee Mao sustained my hunger pangs and ate my fill. When eating Thai intense heat spicy foods, I visualize to think of the TV segment "Niall Horan & James Corden Take On Hot Wings" on "The Late Late Show with James Corden" in March, 2020. High heat spicy foods! Thai ice tea, large $3.00 This was a delight and neutralized the heat spiciness because it contains milk. It was served chilled in a large highball glass. Samyan is a Thai cafe located in Clinton Hill, Brooklyn, NYC and accessible via MTA NYC Transit C local train at Clinton-Washington subway station. This cafe is a independently owned and operated, thankfully. The waitress did check-in with me during my meal for attentive customer service. The atmospheric conditions were a simple small dine-in cafe. There were many paintings, portraits hanging on their walls of white subway tiles. Gold metallic metal chopsticks and fork are provided. If utensils are gold then the interior cafe should contain these "gaudy" feature extensive gold elements, including gilded moldings and furniture. Peony rose are very simply and made pretty table centerpiece decorations. Takeout menu and business cards are available for grabs. I did received my sales receipt. At the bottom of the sales receipt there is a suggested gratuity in intervals of 18%, 20% and 22% where customers do not have to perform math calculation. I paid $23.00 in cash as the waitress' informative knowledge of the ingredients and preparation of the heat level on the Scoville scale.

The restaurant is tiny, so be sure to make a reservation. As a lover of spicy food, the spiciness in the dishes really brought out such a great flavor. Since my friend didn't eat as spicy, we found a happy medium getting just slightly spicy dishes which were all fantastic. We ordered the Khao Soi ($33) and Pla Tod Nam Pla ($40). The khao soi wasn't too spicy, especially since the broth has a creaminess and the spicies are on the side before mixing, which you can exclude. The chicken was so tender, but did come with bone so this can be trickier to share. Then the pla tod really surprised me, but I can definitely see why it's the best seller. It is a fried branzino with a marinated fish sauce which goes so nicely with all the crunch. There are a few remaining pieces of bone, so be careful. The fish had a nice balance of fish meat and crunchy skin. If you're looking for a unique Thai spot, this is it. Also, perfect spot for spicy lovers too. They also offer a huge selection of alcohol.

My partner was running late, and even though the place is clearly very popular right now, they still accommodated us with a table. The staff explained every unfamiliar dish we asked about, always with a smile. I usually avoid the standard NYC Thai restaurant lineup of pad thai + generic curry situations and look for places that feel more regional and authentic. The menu here had a bunch of dishes I didn't recognize, which immediately made me excited. They even have a spice guide though the icons don't necessarily mean increasing spice levels. As I understood it, different symbols represent different types of heat. Three chili emojis and three meteor emojis may be equally spicy, but they hit differently. They recommended not to order the pad krapow nuer, and honestly, fair enough. Instead, we got the chicken khao soi, which was far better than versions I've had elsewhere - deeply flavorful, spicy, rich with umami. My partner was crying. I, meanwhile, was at "this is perfect and I'm having a great time." One Huge chunk of chicken cooked exactly right. Mix everything thoroughly before eating. Then came the kua kling which arrived with another warning. That dish became my personal challenge to impress the server, and apparently I succeeded because now they've promised that next time they won't discourage me from ordering the nuer. They kept refilling cabbage and cucumber for us to cool down from the heat. The kua kling itself was incredible. That dry curry heat was everything. It builds slowly, then suddenly punches you in the face - but alongside all that spice is an insane amount of flavor. They also recommended to order a non-spicy side dish to have a balanced meal and spice level, but we skipped it because it would've been too much food. Honestly, this is the kind of place where going with at least four people is ideal so you can try more dishes and balance the spice levels. And if you're unsure what to order, trust the servers - their recommendations were spot on. Also: really great ciders and beers. We were really happy with both choices. Overall, even though it's far from the city for me, I'd absolutely go back.

My first time here and it was a great experience. It is Valentine's Day and we left with a cute little gift from them, beautiful gesture. Definitely coming back :)

Wait staff was attentive to dietary needs, exemptions and ensured our request was followed to a T. Ordered some Khao Kriab Pak Mor (dumplings) to start along with a pair of mocktails. And an order of Khao Na Ped (smoked vegan duck) and Ginger Chicken (vegan). All served well with good portion. What I personally liked is the 2 dishes took a bit, not slow or long but IMHO taking a little bit always seems it was cared for in prep. Who knows just my thing. The staff has a challenge to accommodate outdoor seating as the bldg doesn't have an inside/back door for them and they must carry food out the front door, down the sidewalk and into the garden area. That's tough but they do it with grace. The seating was okay since it's early enough but bugs showed up - no surprise - not a complaint just the reality of life and online typing in case anyone is considering it and is more sensitive to the same.

I was floored by the service, presentation, and absolutely authentic flavor of the food. Every dish was a work of art. As if the chef painstakingly labored to have the dish coming to the table be a mirror of the picture on the digital menu. It was like the picture animated itself into real life with robust and rich flavoring. I bless this place with overwhelming abundance and positive vibes. The atmosphere was nice and upscale but not pretentious. Everyone there as customers appeared as if they were about the foodie life but in a grown up way. Our server was so nice and sometimes invasively helpful but I loved it. I will be back.

Papaya salad was tasty but not the best I've had. I got passion lemonade and it was too sweet should have just gotten soda. The ambiance is nice and it's a bit nicer than your average neighborhood spot. Went with friends but we each got our own dishes
