The shrimp donuts were a must!! Famous for its crispy, savory, and addictive flavor. Easily our favorites!! The Mama Tom Yum Grilled River Prawns brought real heat, creativity, and tang. We also tried the crispy chicken with egg noodles, which was rich, saucy, crunchy, and a fun twist on comfort food. Our dessert was mango coconut sticky rice which was soft, sweet, and the perfect finish!!

Our group of 4 started with a bottle of Pinot Grigio and a few appetizers to share, namely: Som tum papaya salad and dumplings curry. For the main entree, my eyes caught the attention of clay pot mix-fried rice with shrimp, chicken, sweet sausage, and my partner chose shrimp pad thai. Nothing really stood out with the dishes; I found it to be a bit Americanized, having eaten in so many Thai restaurants around New York City. Overall, we enjoyed our dinner here; our food came in timely fashion, and the customer service is good as well, but it's probably not your place if you are seeking a more authentic Thai-style cooking.

Also ordered the Kee Mao with Tofu and it's such a great portion size for the price. Can 100% recommend this dish. I eat Thai food every week and this is probably in my top 10 in NYC!…read more The staff here are super friendly and all the drinks/apps/entrees/dessert were good, which is so hard to find! PLEASE get the mango stick rice cocktail omg it was gone in like 5 sips because it was so good. The tuna ceviche was so refreshing and the sauce had a little kick to it which I absolutely loved! It was like a sprinkle of Thai on a classic tuna ceviche. Note the taro chips are a little thicker than a typical chip! The pork jowl wasn't as crispy as I expected but it was still flavorful and the portion size was huge, considering how it was an appetizer. We got pineapple lychee crispy duck, crab fried rice, and kana crispy pork over rice as our entree. ALL WERE SO GOOD! The curry for the pineapple lychee crispy duck was so creamy and flavorful, with the duck portion being huge and being the perfect texture. I loved that it was crispy and didn't get soggy fast in the curry. The crab fried rice was top tier as there were SO MANY HUGE CRAB PIECES!! You can definitely tell that it had flavors of seafood/crab.. they did not skimp out! And the kana crispy pork over rice was huge portion as well, but note that it was a big strong/saltier than the other dishes. For dessert, the pandan coconut pudding custard was SO yummy. It was warm and so flavorful and creamy!! I fell in love with Brooklyn even more after coming here. Highly recommend!!

The food was so authentic - we ordered: 1. shrimp pineapple fried rice, the shrimp was perfectly crispy and the flavors of the pineapple fried rice were so delicate, it complemented it very well! The portion size was generous as well! 2. Thai green curry which comes with rice. Medium spicy. It was delicious, very delicate flavors, not a single spice was over powering. I tasted lemongrass too, which is usually missing in a lot of the Americanised restaurants. The rice was perfectly cooked. 3. Rose petal- the drink was delicious it had lychee boba in it. So good! Overall, really enjoyed my experience, I will definitely be coming back!

Server was friendly but stern and told him he was ordering too many of the spicy dishes - I think he would've been fine though (and we intended to bring home leftovers anyway) so that was a little annoying. Anyway, food was hot but not Thai spicy from what I understand. The whole fish I had was tasty. Drinks were good. I wouldn't return but maybe hubby will solo. Didn't get seated until 30 mins after reservation time (as did the couple ahead of us from what I saw) so prepare for that.

I feel differently about Hungry Thirsty. At this point I've been to countless Thai restaurants, and for the most part they've all been fantastic. Compared to all those fantastic meals the flavors here still stand out and I'm excited to read that they're expanding with additional locations. They have a phenomenal and lengthy beer selection, which is fun because it complements the spicy fried dishes quite well. The fried branzino and shrimp and squid in salted duck yolk were very tasty with white rice but the dish that lit up my taste buds was the Kai Jeow Pu- colossal crab omelette. The egg was deep fried in an aromatic oil and filled with fresh, large pieces of crab and served with a phenomenal zesty sauce. The place is tiny and no frills, and our server chafed at my partner for pronouncing a beer on their menu incorrectly, which just added to the experience. I loved it here!

Wait staff was attentive to dietary needs, exemptions and ensured our request was followed to a T. Ordered some Khao Kriab Pak Mor (dumplings) to start along with a pair of mocktails. And an order of Khao Na Ped (smoked vegan duck) and Ginger Chicken (vegan). All served well with good portion. What I personally liked is the 2 dishes took a bit, not slow or long but IMHO taking a little bit always seems it was cared for in prep. Who knows just my thing. The staff has a challenge to accommodate outdoor seating as the bldg doesn't have an inside/back door for them and they must carry food out the front door, down the sidewalk and into the garden area. That's tough but they do it with grace. The seating was okay since it's early enough but bugs showed up - no surprise - not a complaint just the reality of life and online typing in case anyone is considering it and is more sensitive to the same.

Unfortunately, I have to admit I was pretty disappointed. Most of the dishes, especially the sauces, they were extremely salty! - Beef Tartare "Dine-In Exclusive" -- I'd skip this one. The beef was very dry, and it came with taro chips and greens but no sauce to tie everything together. Definitely not what I expected from a tartare. - Enoki Bloom -- Crispy, perfectly fried enoki mushrooms that I actually enjoyed. The only downside was that it was also very salty. The creamy green sauce on the side helped balance it out. - Crying Tiger -- Another skip for me. The steak was dry, tough and chewy, and the meat itself was pretty bland. The sauce had plenty of flavor, but again, it was way too salty. - Pork Jowl -- Probably my favorite dish of the meal. It was perfectly grilled, tender and flavorful. I'd skip the sauce though since the pork was already delicious on its own. - Crab Curry -- Unfortunately, another very salty dish. I honestly don't know how it got this salty. I was expecting more of the spicy or slightly sweet flavors you normally get from a Thai curry, but the salt completely took over. Very disappointing!!! - Thai Iced Tea -- This was actually really good. Creamy, rich and not overly sweet. The menu changes seasonally, so unfortunately, some of the dishes I had seen online were no longer available when I went. I was really looking forward to trying Tong, especially since it's so close by, but overall the meal just didn't do it for me. I probably wouldn't come back or recommend it based on this experience.

Very glad we did. The Kra Pow Neur was easily the best thing we had and a legitimate 5/5. The short rib was insanely tender, full of umami and slightly sweet flavor, with a really prominent crust without being tough or dry at all. It also wasn't really spicy despite all the chili listed in the dish. This is the thing I would absolutely tell someone to order. The Crying Tiger was also excellent. Properly cooked strip loin, prepared exactly how we asked, with toasted rice powder, fried garlic, sticky rice, and Thai sauce. Again, not spicy at all. Honestly one of the better steaks I've had. The Beef Shank Massaman was another standout. The sauce itself was decent, but the beef shank was extremely tender, well seasoned, and paired really well with it. The chive pancakes were good too. Crispy, served with sweet soy sauce and fried shallots. I thought they were solid, but Andrew was defending these things like his life depended on it, so maybe you'll like them even more than I did. Chicken satay was probably the least exciting dish. The chicken itself was pretty basic, but the peanut sauce was definitely above average. The experience was easy. We ate at the bar, which is actually big enough to comfortably eat at, the food came quickly, and there were no problems. Honestly I'd probably choose the bar again because it's easier to keep adding dishes without trying to flag down a waiter. Not really a value spot, but the food is good enough that you probably won't be upset about what you spent. Love love love the food here. Food: 5/5 Experience: 4/5 Price: 3/5
