Brunch at My Kitchen was a bit of a mixed bag, so I'd give it about 3.5 stars. The caramel milkshake was creamy, but no taste of caramel. The crab cake benedict had nice flavor with a smooth hollandaise, but a bit too heavy for me. The Denver omelet was hearty and satisfying. I actually liked the white gravy sauce on top, it gave it an extra richness that worked well. Overall, cozy spot with potential, just not quite a full 4-star experience for me.

One weekend, my partner and I were feeling too lazy to make breakfast, so we decided to eat out instead. We originally planned to go to a different restaurant, but they were closed for remodeling. In a bit of a rush, I checked Yelp and found this place with an overall rating of four stars, which made us eager to give it a try. The place was clean, and overall a nice place for a meal. We decided to share a Waffle Egg Benedict, and it was absolutely delicious! Instead of the typical English muffins, the dish used a waffle as the base. One half of the waffle had a perfectly poached egg on top, which was wonderfully runny. Rich, creamy hollandaise sauce was drizzled over the egg--so tasty! The other half of the waffle was placed alongside seasoned country potatoes, which were exceptionally well-seasoned and the best I've ever had. I believe this dish might have been a special, as I can no longer find it on the regular menu on their website.

My fiancé has been wanting to try this place forever but I've been hesitant because of the negative reviews. Anddd they were right. We came in at 10:30am and were seated pretty quickly but then there was a line right after we sat. After being seated no one came by to take our order. Servers would walk by and we'd try to flag them down and they'd walk right by us. After 20 minutes, we finally went to the front to ask to order. Someone else also had to go ask. Tables that came after us got their orders taken quickly though. I dont know why our two tables were completely ignored. When the food came out, it was piping hot but it was just okay. I got an eggs benedict that was supposed to come with fruits and they didn't give me fruits. The hollandaise sauce was super sour. The hashbrown was crunchy though. Prices are on par with Bill's cafe, which imo is expensive, considering the nonexistent service. After we were done eating, we tried to flag someone down to pay. Again, no one would stop. I guess they didn't wanna be paid. I had to go to the front again to ask to be paid. If you're like us and have been hesitant to try My kitchen, don't do it.

My Kitchen was pretty full when we arrived. It wasn't clear if it was seat yourself or wait to be seated so we stood awkwardly at the front for a bit. There were two tables available that needed to be cleared and cleaned first. The menu is full with lots of popular options. We went with chicken friend steak and eggs, waffle Benedict, and Irish benefit. Coffee refills came but were a tad slow. But they were pretty busy. The dining area is a circle with booths all around. The food was good! We'll probably be back.

Cute little breakfast spot. I've been here before but it was first time with my toddler. She liked her food and I loved my skillet. I would definitely get that again. The only thing what was not my favorite is the bathroom. You have to go down a hallway close the the kitchen. Other than that service was good and decent prices.

Food was terrible. Ask for corn beef hash got chucks of corn beef in a bowl. Got potatoes pancakes which came with honey mustard and gravy. Gross. Should have had sour cream. Had to flag down my server to get my orange juice i ordered. Place is under new management which is City Dinner.

Met up with a friend for brunch. Luckily she recommended this spot. I love supporting local restaurants. Upon entering we were greeted and shown to a table. They were busy, but lucky for us we got these before the huge morning rush arrived. We were seated at a booth and provided with drinks right away. They have an extensive menu and I love that you can change your toast for pancakes. I ordered the veggie omelet but asked if they could make it a scramble and they did. I paired it with their potatoes and chose pancake as the option. My friend ordered the pancake combo. We enjoyed our drinks, coffee and fresh OJ while we waited. The dining room is not huge but they had plenty of space for you to not feel like everyone was part of your conversation. Plus they had booths which I love! The food came out and it was perfectly cooked, as some places tend to overcook scrambles. The pancakes was probably the best part, perfectly cooked, and fluffy. If you're looking for a local brunch spot I highly recommend them. I will be back for sure and perhaps become a regular.

Solid 3 1/2 stars for my first visit to My-Kitchen. I have a friend who has eaten there multiple times, and I joined her recently to check it out. Apparently, My-Kitchen either has new ownership or management and underwent a facelift. It looks nice and clean with 14 booths. Think family-owned diner open for breakfast and lunch from 7:30 am-2:00 pm. I don't know if they were short-staffed, but they only had one server while we were there and everything took a while (we didn't get our drinks until shortly before our food came out). My friend tried the breakfast enchiladas (3 corn tortillas, egg, chorizo, ranchera sauce, Jack cheese, & avocado) with home fries. She liked it. I opted for the Joe's Special (ground beef, spinach, egg, green onion, & mushrooms) with hashbrowns and pancakes. This was the first time I'd had Joe's special w/green onions vs yellow. I kind of liked the difference. The pancakes were good, and I really liked the crispy hashbrowns. It was better than I anticipated from looking at the previous restaurant's photos. I feel good about going back. Next time I'll try their chicken and waffles.

I came here randomly in the evening because I heard from another diner called City Diner that this Diner was actually open late at night! Apparently they're owned by the same people now. I ended up getting a country fried steak and I honestly quite liked it! They had a baked potato option but it could not be fulfilled so they made my fries into a baked potato. We also had the chance to get menudo! It was pretty good! Like in terms of authenticity? A 7 out of 10. The prime rib sliders are great to share and it's great to dip them! They are a musket if you have a party of 4. For the amount of money that you would spend over at Olive Garden this is a good spend that better for the money! If you're a type of person who wants to find good service, John is a good server.

Quick lunch I had. I tried My-Kitchen and I like it. They have tasty Mimosas. We tried mango and orange mimosa they were good. We got some scrambled eggs with fresh onion and some chorizo. Comfortable ambiance with some oldies playing. This helps out the day. My server was nice and kind. I'm sure I'm coming back.

Well, I'm going to consider this place one of "My-Favorites." The food is tasty, family-friendly, and the staff does their rounds as frequent as hospital rounds lol. One thing I'll get at any breakfast place is Eggs Benedict. I mean who doesn't like a little poached egg with flavors? I do! This place does a different twist to their Benedicts. Their hollandaise isn't overpowering and there is a sweet tangy taste to it. It normally comes with country potatoes but if you would like to swap out your sides then you're free to do so! I absolutely love hash browns so I had to have it with my eggs. S/O liked his breakfast burrito and really liked their Belgian waffles. It was nice and crisp. Their maple syrup just makes it better. It's clean and cute hidden in the busy streets of South SJ, but it's totally worth going to! read more

What an awesome experience. My husband and I stopped by for brunch after a doctor's appointment. We were greeted by Geane. She was so sweet and what a great disposition she had and helped make the place. Food was wonderful, plenty of it , and a great price to boot. Very comfortable and homey place. We will definitely be back to enjoy some more great food and conversation. read more

I never write reviews but needed to for this place. My god it's good. I'm blown away by the portions, the service, the coffee and the foooood. My wife and I ate the George scramble and a California Benedict. We also got chicken and waffles. I'm currently overstuffed and I couldn't be happier. This place is in our neighborhood, and we finally had an opportunity to check it out because they are only open for breakfast/brunch time. We had a good experience here. Waitress was attentive, and coffee was readily available. I do think that it took just a little too long for breakfast to come out, but the food tasted good and it was hot. We ordered a bacon avocado croissant sandwich with potatoes and pumpkin pecan pancakes with eggs and bacon. Very pleased with the food, although the potatoes were under-cooked. However, definitely not a deterrent from eating here again. read more

EXCELLENT, OUTSTANDING, HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! I was immediately greeted and offered to set wherever I wanted. Got Coffee immediately poured. My order was taken quickly and my food was served fast, fresh and hot!! I ordered the pancake combo (2 pancakes, eggs, 2 pieces of meat). I ordered pecans in my pancakes. Order was correct. My coffee was refilled 3 times (each time he asked before pouring it) and as a result stayed hot and fresh. I enjoyed my meal and will return! read more

Honesty, friendly and flavor are the best ingridien for a growth of a restaurant. I eat at this place almost every weekend or I should say I use to . I noticed that almost every time they over charge me for little things here and there. And that not a honest think to do. I'll give you an example: I order two egg potatoes and bacon. Two eggs no yolks, you know how much they charged me to remove the yolks? $2.50 Plus my potatoes wasn't cook right and my bacon was cold or reheated. I'm not sure if I want to go back again to this place. read more

Came here Saturday morning with my bf. Wasn't too crazy about the food. I ordered the combination omelette while my bf had the country fried steak. My omelette was pretty bland and tasteless and my hash browns were more soft than crispy. My bf said he saw them microwave the white gravy and the country fried steak looked like one of those frozen patty. White gravy didn't have much flavor to it either so I'm wondering if it just came out of a can. The best thing we probably had was the side of toast. Overall, probably wouldn't go back. read more

This San Jose diner/coffee shop is a gem! We were in town on business and picked it by rating and location. It was so good my wife came back all four mornings of our visit and I came with her both times I was available. Sitting in a strip mall, it is relatively small, all booths so very cozy feeling. The staff, like everything else in My Kitchen, is warm and friendly. They seem to genuinely enjoy their jobs, their co-workers, and their customers. The owner--and her mother!--stop by to see how things are going and to chat a bit. The menu is fairly typical California breakfast selections, but the quality and care that goes into their preparation is not. We found menu prices a bit high ( breakfast for 2 with beverage and a 25%, we'll-earned tip, was $53), but portions are huge, quality of food and service outstanding--and we returned again and again. read more

Was seated right away. Had my food just a couple minutes after ordering. Staff was friendly, very mom and pop classic feeling in there. I will go there again, all the other places are usually crawling with people like IHOP, Dennys. Scramblz... or the parking lots are a joke. This place is not well known and plenty of parking. First time visiting this place but won't be the last. The service was excellent and the servers very friendly and competent. We both had omelets- a combination and the country. The first home we came to My it was fine -- basic breakfast in a strip mall; diner sort of feel. The second time we brought our friend who was visiting from Santa Cruz and we ended up walking out. The waitress was surly and actually seemed drunk. She smelled of alcohol and kept calling me "sweetie." She and the other server were fighting in front of customers. She brought our friend's salad after 10 minutes but not ours. After 10 more minutes we got up and walked out. She shrugged here shoulders like she didn't care. Will not go back. read more

I had been wanting to try this place so stopped for breakfast yesterday morning. I am vegetarian and didn't see many options for vegetarians besides pancakes and waffles, but ordered the potato dish with some veggies but it was mostly potatoes but it was very tasty but felt I paid allot of money for a plate of potatoes. I wish they would offer something with beyond breakfast sausage or impossible sausages. I would be a regular then. read more

We went for the first time today and will definitely return! Menu has a huge selection for breakfast and lunch. Food was very good, cooked to order and plentiful. Owner April is a gem and provided personable and excellent service. It's great to have a friendly cozy place to go for breakfast instead of the big bustling places where you have to wait for a table among crowds. I invited a friend to lunch here after trying it for the first time last week. It's such a cozy little place! Very clean and spacious in such a small dining space, and the service is fantastic. The food was all very yummy and filling, and the staff is super kind and attentive. To top off a great experience for the hangout, we were so pleasantly surprised to be told that someone had anonymously taken care of our bill by the end of the meal, too! We have no idea who it had been, but it really lifted our spirits to know such kind patrons give their business to this little diner. We decided to give this place a try, even if the breakfast place prior was, sorry to say, awful. I'm so glad we did. Their food is good, tasteful, fresh, comfort food. There's just one down side, their coffee is terrible. People will go a long way for good coffee. I've actually chosen to go to breakfast places, because of their coffee. I wish they would invest in an espresso machine or at least better quality coffee. That aside, their food is tasty and majority of the staff is nice. The place is small, which I like, because it gives you a cozy feel. Just don't plan on going with a large group, because you won't fit read more

Came to the area because my girlfriend had her covid booster shot nearby. This place is a small ma and pa shop that is incredible with their service. Really nice staff, very friendly, super attentive and warm welcome from start to finish. I had the big breakfast and the bacon is huge, hash browns were crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Many places don't have hash browns this good so I'm glad I took the recommendation of our server. We were luck enough to have Christmas Carolers come in and serenade the restaurant. This place is highly recommended for many reasons but my biggest compliment to them is their kind and friendly people. If service is King then their food is the Queen. read more

This place is the best--Scramblez level food but with way more options and they don't skimp on the avocado. Waitress is very nice and talkative. It's also a smaller place and costs a little less than Scramblez so it's usually less loud--but beware of coming on a busy day like Saturday with no reservation. All tables are booths or bar seats and accommodate 4 or 5 people, but they will sit you at two booths next to each other and remove the divider if you have 8ish people. Food is delicious and they will substitute lots of stuff which is great for vegetarians (Dennys won't even give you a fruit cup instead of bacon). I also think this diner has soymilk.
