Unfortunately I didn't take my phone in, but can say this small restaurant has a huge heart and its owner brings it all to you. Just a stand up guy. The place offers some exterior seating and has an almost hidden indoor seating area as well. We sat inside and he turned in the tv for us and allowed us to enjoy our food while tending to our every need. He was very kind and generous. It was so comfortable we felt like we were eating in someone's back yard. Just relaxed. The prices are extremely fair, the food was delicious and we will be going to this location again. While we did enjoy its sister location on Marengo Street in LA, this location feels much more peaceful and there is parking. read more

Really good place. I had been trying to go and found it closed often. I finally figured out the schedule and have been going regularly. To start, the salsas are excellent. Usually a harbinger of what the food will be like at a Mexican restaurant. Everything I've had has been excellent. I especially like the breakfast. A lot of great choices. I've brought a couple of friends here and they loved it too. It's basically a take out place although there are 4 or 5 outdoor tables that make it a nice place to eat at too. I absolutely love MX 30-30!! This is such a gem in the heart of El Sereno. If you're looking for a good Mexican restaurant definitely check this place out. The food is great and the ambiance is also super chill and casual. I ordered carne asada fries. They were soooooo good! The use steak fries which makes it so much better. The portion is shareable. Amazing catering service. My sons 4th birthday party happened to be one of the few days that it down poured in LA. We ended up having to cancel the party last minute and reschedule for the next day. They were very understanding and even made us plates of food the day we cancelled and were flexible in moving the day. During a stressful time, they were a pleasure to work with. Long overdue review. Absolute GEM!! I'm still in disbelief that they don't have a line outside their establishment. I've been coming here for the past half year and I frequently try something new because each of their menu items never disappoint and makes for a great meal. They are very well known for their soup dishes and you'll have to call in early for their Caldos and Albondigas because they sell out, and for good reason. Their pozole has a nice kick to it! I don't come across many spicy pozoles so it's a nice change. I LOVE their chipotle chicken!!!! Don't sleep on it or you'll regret it cause I order this at least every other week. I also absolutely love their sandia agua Fresca, they add strawberry in it so it's sweet and refreshing. They add their green avocado salsa with complimentary tortilla chips. Trust me when I say you'll come back for that green salsa. Their breakfast items are amazing as well. Everything is hand made and tastes like something you get straight out of your grandmas kitchen. Definitely turning this place into a regular. They happened to have a pop up shop at this establishment today and I got a few goodies and everything was BOMB !!!!
