Since all of the gyms are closed, I have been biking and running to work and back. It's a great workout BUT my muscles are very sore and haven't been able to find a solution. I went out the Muscle Lab over the weekend and tried out their new full-body cryotherapy machine. DAMMMMMMMMMMMN!!!!!!!!! Talk about magic. After one session in the cryo chamber, some stretching and a normatec compression session, I feel like I got my legs back and feel 20 years lighter. Great services and the staff is wonderful. I have done the cryo facial and noticed a big improvement in my face. It is a nitrogen which heals and tightens skin. This place is like no other! I haven't been to a many muscle therapy/rehab centers, Ive gone to places more for like physical therapy, but those places are super limited to the services they provide and aren't as advanced, but Muscle Lab is definitely somewhere I'll be visiting every week, they're your one stop shop for everything! To start off, the place is super clean when you walk in, the staff is so friendly and makes you feel super welcome. If you're not sure what kind of service you want they'll explain everything to you and find the right service you need and walk you through all their amenities. If you're a newbie like me l, don't worry and don't be shy they literally explain everything to you and they're the coolest staff I've ever met! The cryotherapy machine, idk where to even start! When you go inside you feel like you're on another planet! They close the door and you get to choose the song u wanna play, so it's literally soundproof from the inside and you can hear the sound of the cold air filling your space with the music. It's soooo relaxing. Then they turn up the cryo and it gets coldddd, the machine has a window in case you wanna get some air out or if you feel claustrophobic, its super roomy though and u have space to move around, unlike some other places I've been too where I've felt crammed. Again this machine is dope, I've been to other cryo places but by far Muscle Lab has the best. It's temp goes down to -240! You can choose what temp you want it to be. I came out feeling like a new person, I'm definitely going to get the monthly pass and try to go every week. They have a lot of other services like the infrared sauna, another great machine that's top of the line that u enjoyed using. You can tell these guys spent a lot of money on their machinery because it's super high tech and top notch. Also if you don't feel like going into the full cryotherapy machine you can do localized cryo, it's like a hand operated machine/gun and they can put it on any part of your body, they even do cryo facials! There's also cupping, CBD massages, stretching, and dozens of other services that I can't remember right now but I'm going back next week to try them for sure! Muscle Lab completely blew my expectations! I like to play basketball and understand my body isn't the same as it was in High School. I had a stretch therapy session with Josh Choi and it was one of the best stretch sessions I've in the Los Angeles/ Pasadena area! As a Doctor of Physical Therapy, I have high standards of who I let work on my body, and let's just say I'm definitely coming back soon! He initially asked if there was specific areas that I wanted during my focus stretch session, and then he executed! He was able to walk me through some relaxation and breathing techniques to help me relax during my session too. His handling skills of my body was firm and secure so I wasn't afraid of trusting my limbs with him. In addition to my stretch Therapist, the ambiance was great too. The soft violet light within the dimmed lit room made it easy to relax. I felt really good and sleepy afterwards! I was able to workout afterwords and use my new mobility!! I was able to deep squat and move more freely after my session with Josh, but if you asked how I was moving prior I thought my my legs would snap from being so tight. I am coming back! I went to muscle lab the other day, and wow I love the equipment and serves they provide. I tried the infrared sauna, it has multiple levels of heat to be under. First time in something like that but it was very nice and had fans to cool you off. They also had the seats that pressure and inflate your legs. My legs felt great after and relaxed my joints. And the very last, the ice chamber was by far the coolest thing I've done in a spa or wellness center before. I felt energized and awake after.
