What a cool spot. Wandered in after a day of hiking, and really enjoyed the atmosphere of this restaurant. We were able to snag a table outside, right next to the creek. They had a variety of local brews on tap to choose from. We ordered the elk burger, Cali style. The burger had great flavor, but the patty itself was a tad dry. It's been awhile since we were last here, and decided to treat ourselves again. They have such a fantastic burger menu. I don't like beef so I ordered one of these "burgers" with grilled chicken and it's amazing. I ordered "The Murph" which has bacon and guac - yes please! My husband ordered the one with green chile and with elk and he said it was one of the best burgers he has ever had! Sweet potato tots are delish too. Good lunch in a comfortable restaurant setting along the creek. We stopped here for lunch on our route to Vail. Great music background. Beautiful little town, impossible parking. Excellent wait staff and bar tender. I had the Epic Pass with all their special condiments and kraut but let me tell you about the Brussels sprouts side! Shaved and flash fried and crispy delicious with a lemon drizzle, I could eat an entire plate of these. The house pastrami was fatty and I picked out the fat out before I ate it. The sandwich was otherwise good. Husband had the shrimp tacos which he reported were "adequate." He did have the Red Blush Margarita that was delicious. Interesting menu, recommended. Great little eatery in the heart of town. I really enjoyed the different take on Brussel sprouts being shredded though a bit heavy on truffle flavor for me but that's a preference. My pastrami sandwich was really good and flavorful. My daughter had a pasta dish that we both enjoyed as I stole several forkfuls. We were envious over some other plates served to nearby tables but just gives us reason to return. The intimate dining allowed us to engage with other tables which was really pleasant. Next time I hope we are able to dine on the deck as it looked nice but weather was a bit cool during our lunch. Stopped into Murphy's after a hike nearby and sat at the bar. Restaurant had a good "mountain town" feel and staff service was great. I ordered the Dirty Frenchman Burger with 100% Angus Beef along with truffle fries (+$1 extra). The burger was alright with the marmalade addition as the highlight. Maybe it's my own taste preferences, but I had to stop eating the truffle fries halfway through. They tasted old to me and I had to mask the taste with ketchup. I did originally order Brussel sprouts, but they were unfortunately out. They have a 90s surf video that was looping on the bar TV with old film visuals that kept me entertained & feeling nostalgic, and I'm sure dinner on their outside porch area would be a nice date night spot. read more

We were hiking at the lair of the bear. Everyone built up an appetite and planned ahead the trip to Murphy's Mountain Grill. Let me start with the drive is beautiful, especially if you stay off the highway. Parking is non-existent, you have to find street parking which is shared amongst all of them shops and restaurants. We got there early and still had to park a couple blocks away. After a short wait we were sat at a table creekside. Was a great spot, sadly we had bad weather approaching but with the umbrella we stayed warm and dry. They have a set of blankets which the ladies in our groups were very appreciative of. My wife and I ordered a salad, not sure why but we did and both were aces. Our boy had 2 ordered of wings, teenagers. The girls each got a burger and were in heaven. Both of them said it was one of the best burgers they ever had. Also ordered sweet potato tater tots and they were legit the most natural sweet potato tater tots we ever had. Its possible they make them in house with how fresh and unique they were. Would totally come gain - hands down! read more

The service was also quick and the food was hot when it arrived. The atmosphere is very comfortable and in the summer you can eat next to the stream! Really liked the chill vibe here compared to the saloon up the street that had some live music. It's not too big, small bar, and maybe a dozen tables. We were seated quickly, and perusing the menu saw a few burgers that looked good. Ended up with the dirty Frenchman, and it was good. Pretty thin patty, nice bun, and the fries were great thinner home style. Brie and arugula on a cheeseburger with a marmalade sounds really bougie, but this place is really pretty down to earth and my girlfriend got the Reuben, which was really tasty. Got the bread pudding to go, and it had an interesting seasoning, like maybe cardamom? They had a green chile that I was really tempted by, and there were a few of their burgers that looked really tasty. Parking was up at the public lots ($10 for two hours on a Saturday afternoon) and the walk down in winter was a bit sketchy with the limited sidewalks since it's on a pretty busy road. Their service was amazing, great recommendations from the staff & the burgers (ins and outs + black & blue) were finger lickin' good! Such a gem in the heart of Evergreen! This rustic restaurant feels very warm and inviting as you step in. Due to Covid, they only have 5-6 tables inside that have an hour limit. The staff all wore masks and cleaned the table afterwards which made me feel very safe. We ordered the plantain chicken nachos, which were a big hit. Very light with lots of bright flavors. Just wished the portions stayed the same as before. We each ordered something different-the dirty Frenchman burger, Harvest chicken salad and the chipotle shrimp tacos. The burger was an explosion of flavor with so much melting cheese on top (no complaints there)! My shrimp tacos were great too but the side salad had seen better days. The greens seemed a little wilted but I did enjoy the green dressing and the pepitas combo. The harvest salad was huge! The vibrant colors and presentation were definitely on point. The black lavender cocktail was very refreshing and delicious so was the NA version my friend had. And then the milkshake! How can you not have one of their yummy milkshakes for dessert! Where the main dining room is now devoid of tables and chairs and instead to the left as you walk in is a long table where your to go order meals are waiting for you. The creek outside is gushing. My last. Visit here pre-COVID-19 Days a marriage proposal was happening a few tables behind me. So this is a special spot to me. It made my top 5 romantic places to dine outside of downtown Denver that's not too far. Down the street is a quaint jewelry store that I never miss stopping by when in the area. Our first time there . the pictures are more lovely than then the actual place. I had the margarita and it was perfect. Our table ordered various meals off the menu and were a little disappointed, the Brussels sprouts were burnt and over cooked I don't know if that was the chef's intention. The Salmon was overcooked when it should have been medium. The pudding pie was delicious. the waitress was lovely , it was a quiet atmosphere which I am sure someone would enjoy .
