The first time that I went to Murphy's was fantastic. Food was great, service was amazing, and the restaurant has a great vibe. Going there the second time was setup to be the same, although the chicken that we had ordered was a little bit off. After checking out and leaving, my girlfriend and I got sick soon after and furthermore at home which was unfortunate, though it seemed like a fluke compared to the first time. With both of us getting sick, I wanted to make sure that others would avoid getting sick with chicken and called to let them know, only to be met with defensiveness and denial. With all of this being said, our in-house server, which is not who I spoke with on the phone, is extremely nice and none of this review is directed at her. After golfing at Evergreen Golf course this is the perfect place to come and enjoy some very nice food. We were given this recommendation from the golf starter and happy he sent us here. The ambience is so....EVERGREEN! Wait staff excellent and everything we ordered was quite tasty. We would definitely come back. The Nachos are interesting and we were really pleased with their twist and take on it. The veggie sandwich very good but the Brussels sprouts even better! Such a nice mountain spot to eat! Friendly service (just a bit over-worked...but good help is hard to find.). Delicious hand-patted burgers, my Cali included bacon jam, roasted tomato, arugula, balsamic....was so tasty on a toasted bun. The fresh cut fries were so good also! But that chocolate chip bread pudding was the thing which made this place memorable! Honestly! What an unassuming place! Early dinner on Independence Day. Tate was immediately there and asked if we'd been at the Grill before. Since we hadn't he gave us a thorough but brief rundown. He was great and we were unhurried. Now, this is a REAL chef's restaurant without the hoidy-toidy! We were with long-time friends from North Carolina. Eventually ordered the Black & Blu burger, the Murph burger, the BLTA and the Epic Pass (like a sophisticated Reuben). Wonderful food and very innovative/inventive. Delicious. My wife didn't want a side but I insisted she order the SWEET POTATO TOTS. Fabulous! I also ordered a Strawberry Lemonade Arnold Palmer which was amazing! What flavor! Now whereas this isn't your fine dining restaurant it IS where you'll find really great chef-prepped food. BTW, the sweet potato tots are incredible. Everything seems to be made in-house. First time here because of great ratings when searching for a place to eat all the way from Missouri but unfortunately the wife and daughters dinner was not good the Hamburger Bun had mold on both Of them so they took them back and brought fresh dinner to the table but the food was not hot when they tried to correct the situation so yeah 2 strikes should have expected this when we walked into the restaurant the heat was not properly working in the restaurant so it was cold and chilly and the waitress said that she knew this the owners need to get it right no excuses for this at all I will never come back for a dinner here again I normally don't leave a review but feel like that i should because it's very important when people are spending their money for quality food and drink but this time this place failed and we still left a 20 percent tip for the service read more

Pretty neat and very popular spot in Evergreen. We were meeting a group for lunch, and luckily, they had a reservation because it was popping when we got there, and the wait was more than 90 mins when we left. We split several appetizers. The citrus grilled chicken plantain nachos were probably my favorite. Next on the list was the ahi sashimi wonton tacos. The coriander chilled shrimp was fine, but nothing out of the ordinary. The table enjoyed the brussel sprout petals as an appetizer; I got an order as my side with my burger. They were ok, but I was a little let down. They could've been hotter. For my main course, I had the Southern Comfort with the elk burger. Quite impressed with it...really good flavor and not as messy as several pics of burgers I've seen on here. My wife got the Ins and Outs, holding a few things. She seemed happy with her choice, although it was much more rare than the medium well done request she made. Fries were fine, but not spectacular. Drinks were flowing, and service was spot on the entire time. The one downer was when we found out we wouldn't get to enjoy the chocolate chip bread pudding we had ordered. We recently needed reservations for a large party and Murphy's Mountain Grill was the atmosphere and menu we were looking for. Taylor was great and easy to work with, making the evening a success. Even when we needed to add people at the last minute, he made that possible. The staff was wonderful to work with and handled our large group smoothly and with a smile. Glad we did call ahead seating, this place is tiny , especially during enter when they lose half of their tables that are outside coveted in snow. The chicken wings and sauce were very tasty. I am impressed with this little place and will definitely be back! My husband had been out in the Mountains and were starving! I noticed the bar had a lot of good liquors and beers on tap. Their food was exceptional! My husband ordered the half chicken with Yukon potatoes, the bbq sauce on the chicken was some of the best I ever ate! I ordered the black and blue without the bacon but with sweet potato tots, they were another level! The servers were so kind and answered our questions about the area. The service was also quick and the food was hot when it arrived. The atmosphere is very comfortable and in the summer you can eat next to the stream! Excellent wait staff and bar tender. I had the Epic Pass with all their special condiments and kraut but let me tell you about the Brussels sprouts side! Shaved and flash fried and crispy delicious with a lemon drizzle, I could eat an entire plate of these. The house pastrami was fatty and I picked out the fat out before I ate it. The sandwich was otherwise good. Husband had the shrimp tacos which he reported were "adequate." He did have the Red Blush Margarita that was delicious. Interesting menu, recommended. What a cool spot. Wandered in after a day of hiking, and really enjoyed the atmosphere of this restaurant. We were able to snag a table outside, right next to the creek. They had a variety of local brews on tap to choose from. We ordered the elk burger, Cali style. The burger had great flavor, but the patty itself was a tad dry. Great little eatery in the heart of town. I really enjoyed the different take on Brussel sprouts being shredded though a bit heavy on truffle flavor for me but that's a preference. My pastrami sandwich was really good and flavorful. My daughter had a pasta dish that we both enjoyed as I stole several forkfuls. We were envious over some other plates served to nearby tables but just gives us reason to return. The intimate dining allowed us to engage with other tables which was really pleasant. Next time I hope we are able to dine on the deck as it looked nice but weather was a bit cool during our lunch. We were hiking at the lair of the bear. Everyone built up an appetite and planned ahead the trip to Murphy's Mountain Grill. Let me start with the drive is beautiful, especially if you stay off the highway. Parking is non-existent, you have to find street parking which is shared amongst all of them shops and restaurants. We got there early and still had to park a couple blocks away. After a short wait we were sat at a table creekside. Was a great spot, sadly we had bad weather approaching but with the umbrella we stayed warm and dry. They have a set of blankets which the ladies in our groups were very appreciative of. My wife and I ordered a salad, not sure why but we did and both were aces. Our boy had 2 ordered of wings, teenagers. The girls each got a burger and were in heaven. Both of them said it was one of the best burgers they ever had. Also ordered sweet potato tater tots and they were legit the most natural sweet potato tater tots we ever had. Comfy, rustic, familiar feeling already on my first visit, and friendly and funny service. Came here after hiking nearby. Really liked the chill vibe here compared to the saloon up the street that had some live music. It's not too big, small bar, and maybe a dozen tables. We were seated quickly, and perusing the menu saw a few burgers that looked good. Ended up with the dirty Frenchman, and it was good. Pretty thin patty, nice bun, and the fries were great thinner home style. Brie and arugula on a cheeseburger with a marmalade sounds really bougie, but this place is really pretty down to earth and my girlfriend got the Reuben, which was really tasty. Got the bread pudding to go, and it had an interesting seasoning, like maybe cardamom? They had a green chile that I was really tempted by, and there were a few of their burgers that looked really tasty. Parking was up at the public lots ($10 for two hours on a Saturday afternoon) and the walk down in winter was a bit sketchy with the limited sidewalks since it's on a pretty busy road. All in all, I'd definitely go back for an after hike meal. read more

Stopped into Murphy's after a hike nearby and sat at the bar. Restaurant had a good "mountain town" feel and staff service was great. I ordered the Dirty Frenchman Burger with 100% Angus Beef along with truffle fries (+$1 extra). The burger was alright with the marmalade addition as the highlight. Maybe it's my own taste preferences, but I had to stop eating the truffle fries halfway through. They tasted old to me and I had to mask the taste with ketchup. I did originally order Brussel sprouts, but they were unfortunately out. They have a 90s surf video that was looping on the bar TV with old film visuals that kept me entertained & feeling nostalgic, and I'm sure dinner on their outside porch area would be a nice date night spot. read more
