Tried Murphy's Cafe 126 for breakfast and coffee. Both were excellent and people were very friendly. The interior of the Cafe was done really well. I was impressed by the look and feel. I live close and was hoping for a quality place to open in this location. First visit was great. Definitely be back to give more of the menu a try. read more

The owner, Daniel, is kind and really cares about the customers! When the kitchen is not too busy he comes out to talk to you-really good service! The food is top-notch! I've never had anything that I didn't love! The management is good and the speed of service is fantastic as well! The Jalapeno fry sauce here is the only fry sauce I'll eat! I've been here twice just for the coffee. It's the best I've ever had. Better than Starbucks and slightly better than Beans & Brew. But that's all I'd go back for. The food is average, nothing that's unique or stands out. No special sauces or anything that truly sets it apart or makes me want to go back. I waited almost 30 minutes for my order that wasn't complete when I got it and the place is poorly ventilated so the smoke builds up and lingers. So I'd rate the food a 3 star, the coffee a 5 star, and the service/ establishment a 3 star. Food is a very cutthroat business to be in. Especially here in Utah where we are all driven first by our tastebuds. Hopefully this place finds a way to set themselves apart from the pack with their menu items and flavors. It's just too plain Jane to me and I'd rather go right up the road and get a juicy flavorful burger with seasoned fries and fry sauce for less time waiting and basically the same price. Newly opened for breakfast, lunch, and a big coffee/latte/espresso/hot chocolate bar. We've been waiting for this place to open since it's so close to us, and saw the open sign today, so we stopped in. We were happy to see Mike working there. He previously worked at the sandwich shop that was here before Murphy's. I ordered the bacon cheeseburger and was pleasantly surprised that they actually cooked the bacon to crisp! Finally someone gets it. The bun was not the usually white bread bun, and was delicious. My wife ordered a chicken Philly cheesesteak, but was brought out a beef Philly. I think we were talking and asking questions so much that the order got mixed. No problem. She liked the sandwich. I ordered fries and again was surprised at how good they were. Not soggy like other places. We aren't coffee drinkers, so I can't comment on their coffees and espressos. I will say they have a big selection of both hot and cold drinks , and their machine(s) were pretty impressive. It's not a big place with maybe 6-7 tables that seat 4 each. The owner was very receptive to our suggestions on menu items and possible additions. We will definitely be back to further explore the lunch and breakfast menu items. Breakfast is served until 10:30. They have a few specials for both breakfast and lunch, and am sure they will have more. Since it us by the high school, they have student specials also. This is the absolute best Philly cheesesteak around!! It has all the amazing flavors but fresher then other restaurants make theirs if ya know what I mean. Their wings have a homemade rub spice on them and they were deliciously crispy. This place is beyond scrumptious! I can't talk it up enough, best food I've had in a long time!! Just tried this cafe today. Had the cheesesteak and fries. My mother had a turkey avocado sandwich and onion rings. She said they were the best onion rings she has ever had. Loved the sandwich also. We ordered Murphy's for a business meeting and it was a wonderful experience! We were personally contacted by the owner who made sure that all of our needs were met, even last minute. They were willing to accommodate special requests; such as no seasoning, keto, etc. This allowed everyone to enjoy a cheesesteak, not to mention they are completely stuffed with melty goodness. We were able to sample a few things on the menu and hands down, everything was great! The wings were HOT! Not spicy hot, but temperature hot! You could tell this was fresh. The wings come with some really good sauces and a few of us poured it on our sandwiches and it kicked up the flavor. They were very professional and were running a little bit late, but they called in plenty of time to let us know that they would be a few minutes late. I loved the communication. I also loved that the Owner (Daniel) asked for feedback on the food and service. He wanted to know what they did well, how can they improve, etc. Its great to see a shop so interested in its customers. Please check out this place!!! Food is excellent, prices are a little steep and are higher than the menu pics on yelp. This was our first visit and the lady at the register was a little grumpy and not very helpful when we asked questions about different food items. I asked what the "special sauce" (because I have food allergies and need to know what I'm eating) on the sandwiches is and she just stared at me. I asked how big the large fries are and her answer was "not very big". ‍ ordered a plain cheeseburger for my kids and specified only meat, cheese, bun, but they put mayo on it. My kids didn't care but I'm allergic to mayo, so that would have been an issue if it was mine. I've only heard rave reviews of this place - the food really is great but hopefully they can step up their customer service so they can keep customers coming back. read more
