Really delicious food and a great menu with lots of flavorful options. Everything I've tried has been well-seasoned and clearly made with care, and when the food hits, it *hits*. It's one of my go-to spots when I'm craving Indian food in the area. The only reason I'm docking a star is that sometimes the wait can be a bit long, whether it's for food or service, especially during busy times. We went to Saffron Circle during lunchtime. They had a buffet so we did that. I thought the food was OK. Maybe I felt that way since they made the food very mild and had it been ordered more to my temperature liking I might've liked it better. I wish I would've taken a picture of the sign, but I swear it said the buffet included cheese and garlic naan. We ordered some and was charged extra for it. read more

A weird experience, which is not always what I look for in a night out, but I'm willing to enjoy the ride. It was evening and dark out on a night during the colder months. Not close to closing time, but generally not a night where many places would be too busy. The entrance is kind of impressive. You get a good view of their several tandoori ovens through a glass partition. We got a good few minutes to enjoy the view. When greeted it was by a 30 to 40 something man in camo jorts, dirty tennis shoes, and a solid color tee. Did not strike me as a customer service specialist. I make assumptions often, I'm working on it, and I assumed they were short several front of house staff. Maybe just random chance or whatever, but also maybe they have staffing issues which means that they have management issues. I go out to have a good time so despite how negative I might sound I roll with this kind of thing and look to have fun regardless. If the flavor is there all is typically forgiven by me. The flavor was not there. We were served tag team style by the previously mentioned person and another guy who was also not dressed to serve customers. We ordered alcohol drinks early and planned to have one more round but never had the opportunity to get that order in. Some restaurants hate money. I love Saag and that is what I intended to order but they had a Cilantro Lamb dish that caught my eye and cilantro is one of my favorite things ever so I figured that would be a great thing to try. It was bad. I have seen a similar dish on the menu at other Indian places and even though it always sounds so good because of this dish I will never order that. The dish was borderline gross. I don't even remember what my wife ordered. She wasn't impressed and we took most of our food home so that we could toss it out a few days later. Not looking to go back. read more

Wow! This is a fantastic, authentic Indian restaurant. I highly recommend ordering family style to try lots of items. We got 5 mains for 5 people and everyone left completely stuffed. We got chicken tikka masala, lamb Rogan Josh, goat Briyani, daal, and a kerala fish curry. All were medium and had a good amount of heat. I absolutely love Indian food and we've visited places all over the state. Gave Saffron Circle a try and it earns a solid 4 stars. Went in on a Friday night and expected a wait but for 2 people there was none and we were seated immediately. Several large groups came in behind us. We were seated upstairs with only 1 other table up there occupied at the time. We ordered pakora starters and those came fairly quickly. We ordered our mains soon after. We waited a ridiculously long time for those to arrive. Somewhere north of 45-50mins. During that time, those larger groups had been seated and we watched as nearly every single table that was seated well after us received their food before we did. Highly annoying. These were groups of 6-8 people and our 2 person order came well after theirs. The service was just OK. Once our order was taken we didn't see our waiter again until be brought those annoying table side handheld POS systems to take payment--on it you can't see what you ordered or the price for anything. Just a total and the 15% 20% 25% gratuity options. Pet peeve of mine when dining out as they stand over your shoulder waiting for you to blindly assume the total is correct and tip for subpar service. The experience here is really all about the food. The Tikka was amazing, the naans fresh and flavorful. The mixed meat tandoor grill was pricey but incredible. While I didn't care for my coconut korma (there was some ingredient in there I couldn't place but didn't like) as coconut korma is my go-to meal at just about every Indian place, everything else was very well prepared and tasted great. A reasonable wait time for food and some better service would push this place to a 5 star. I'd try it again. read more

Saffron Circle offers a delightful and upscale Indian restaurant experience and it is a great date night spot. It is my new go-to place for Indian. The service is always exceptional and the restaurant is clean. I tend to order my usual Chicken Tikka Masala but have also loved the Lamb Tikka Masala as well. I love their garlic naan and mango lassi as well. One time we came for the Sunday lunch buffet and it really delivered. If you want to sample a little of all of the curries, entrees, and desserts they offer then I would recommend the Sunday buffet. read more

I brought my very picky girlfriend with me and she was very skeptical about trying Indian food for the first time, but she absolutely loved it and left saying it was 10/10. we came in very late and the servers were amazing and catered to all our needs, we got the Pani Puri, Butter Chicken and tikka masala with garlic naan and all of the dishes were amazing! I'm thoroughly impressed with Saffron Circle. My husband and I have tried just about every Indian restaurant in the valley given it's one of our fave cuisines and we had our "go-to" place which we've been going to for 18+ years now. This is definitely the only other place that has come equal to our go to spot given the uniqueness of the dishes and the consistency of the classics. Everything we've tried here both for take out, which we have ordered out on 10+ times and dine in which we've eaten in house about 5xs now have all been on point and very well done. The flavors are super epic and it has become our "go-to" in South Valley. I was skeptical at first because Saffron Valley seemed to go pretty down hill over the last while to the point where we stopped going because the food started tasting bagged and severely tainted the reputation of the Saffron line for me. Thus, skeptical of this place but have yet to be disappointed and was pleasantly surprised it has now become a secondary go-to to our first go-to. Certainly worth a try and certainly the best we have in Riverton/Mountain View area. read more

My guest and I ordered the saffron sampler, the rose Lassi and the goat biryani. The lassis are rich and very flavorful. The texture is extremely smooth. It's very yogurty so if you aren't a fan of yogurt you won't like it. The sampler was enjoyable and it's ready to recommend for the table as a fun appetizer. Everything is fried. We ordered the goat biryani spicy. If you like spicy than this was a wonderful dish to try. The rice was flavorful and the goat was extremely tender. We sat out on the patio and the covering kept the temperature totally manageable in the heat. The place has a nice modern ambience and I recommend as a nice date night spot. read more

I was excited to give this place a try especially since it's so close to my house. The restaurant is really clean inside. I love the mural on the wall inside the restaurant, and the decor is really nice and inviting! I've been here two times now and unfortunately the flavor of the food was different the second time I came. I ordered the chicken tikka masala (medium) and an order of garlic naan. The first time we came it was amazing! The flavor of the curry was so good, just the right amount of spice and cream it was so good. It's what made me want to come back again! The garlic naan is also amazing and luckily it tasted the same both times. Sadly the second time we came in the curry was a lighter color and tasted more creamy, there was hardly any spice. I found out recently that they have different chefs and that is the reason for the inconsistent flavors. I'm not sure if this is true or not but it's disappointing when you come to a restaurant specifically for something and then it tastes completely different the next time. If their food tasted the same every time I'd definitely see myself coming here all the time! Maybe I'll give them one more time just to see, but it's definitely something to be be aware of when you come here. read more

Saffron Circle SLAPS! Both their saag paneer and malai kofta were rich, creamy, and rich in spices! Their samosas were no joke either! The potato inside was smooth; the outer pastry shell was perfectly fried, and the chutneys complemented them well! I will 100% be back! The ambiance in this place was great. It was clean and the upstairs was great. The food was really good. I got the tikka masala lamb and the butter chicken curries. I also got a mango lassie. The mango lassi was delicious, but it wasn't very cold. The lamb tikka masala was delicate and tender. A little under seasoned. I got the mild and I think it would have been a little better with moderate spice level. The naan was also good, but a little greasy. Was introduced to Indian food on Wednesday night. I am so glad I picked this location to be my first of many future visits. Everything was perfect from the host when I first arrived to the interactions with our server to the food and the Taj Mahal beer we tried. We dined in and the atmosphere is just perfectly decorated. My friend and I went for dinner before a Paint Night. We were a little confused by the name since the ones we had visited previously were Saffron Valley, and this has Circle in the name (same family of restaurants). I love the clean look of this new(er) location. We even got a patio table during the last nicer days of fall, when we went. The food was delicious, as usual, and the Rose Lassis were amazing! My only issue was that when I had asked the waiter if I could add something to one of their dishes, I felt like I was shamed and embarrassed into even asking.
