Do they really need another review? Ok I've had my fair share of Indian cuisine. It was decent and edible, service was very good and quick and the restaurant is very Mediterranean and smells wonderful. We ordered the Samosas with potatoes and peas which I love, but at this place not so much, inside filling was very dry with a taste I didn't like despite adding tamarind and mint chutney. We ordered the butter chicken and the vegetable coconut Kurma. Both tasted ok not amazing. The naan bread is always a must but this naan was a bit hard and had a sprinkling of garlic powder which tasted burnt. There were 4 of us seated. A waiter walked by us with several glasses full of water which ended up spilled all over our table and mostly in my lap. No one, not one waiter came back to our table to wipe up the flood of water on all 4 of us. (Mostly on me) I had to go to the kitchen and get a rag and bucket to clean our table and floor under our feet. Not even one waiter came to help. When we were finally able to order I gave them the bucket with a couple of inches of water from ringing out the rag. Not even a sorry or a thank you. When we walked in the ambiance was inviting and the smelled amazing. We were greeted warmly and seated quickly. The menu is extensive, so it was hard to choose! I love all food, but I was most excited to try their chicken tikka masala and the "butter chicken." we also ordered several things of garlic naan so we could dip to our hearts content. Ambiance, Service, Food -- this place has it all The hand painted murals on all the wall make for a fun environment when eating. Service was prompt and the food was on your table before you know it. The mango Lassi was indeed one of the best I've had. Not too sweet which is how it should be made but with all the rich Mango flavor. Delicious! The Vegetable Pakari appetizer was delicious, one of the favorites of the night. The Lamb Boti Massala was probably my favorite. A very rich sauce with very tender lamb. The combo of spices on this dish really made this dish stand out from other Massalas I've had before, pure magic The downsides were the Garlic Naan, it tasted more like a tortilla then I expected and the garlic was sprinkled on top instead of being baked into it. The other small critique was the chunks of pineapple in the Pineapple chicken were pretty large and you had to cut it or just take a single bite of pineapple which wasn't ideal. I have been wanting to try this place ever since I saw it made Yelp's list of the Top 100 US restaurants for 2024. We went to the restaurant at dinnertime on a Saturday, so there was a bit of a wait, but since our party wasn't large, it wasn't too bad. I do agree with some other reviewers -- I feel like the waiting area isn't large enough for the crowds. They also didn't take our number (just a name for the party) so if we weren't paying attention, we might not have known our table was ready. Once we got seated, the service was pretty quick! The good thing about having a bit of a wait is being able to look at the menu before you're seated. We ended up getting the chicken tikka masala, Rogan Josh, and garlic naan. The naan wasn't included with the entrees, and it was also a little salty because of how much garlic powder was on it. The size of dishes is deceptive, but in a good way -- there was a lot more food than we were expecting! Overall, the restaurant was cute inside, it wasn't too noisy, and the experience was enjoyable. Really enjoyed the food here and I like that they offer a gf "naan" option. The curries are flavorful and tasty and the portions are good for the price. The rice is also so good! I recommend the butter chicken and lamb nori masala (if you like it more tangy) but the chicken tandoori was less impressive. Well it lived up to the hype. I saw this place on the Yelp top 100 list and knew I needed to try it! It is always so crowded, but I hear they will soon have a location in Highland, so that will be great! The Chicken coconut kurma was amazing. So excited they will be opening their Highland location soon, they need it. This place is always packed on Friday and Saturday nights - sometimes an hour wait for two! We ordered takeout with friends a month ago and then again on Saturday. It's a breeze! The food is always ready on time, hot, and the orders have always been correct. Their tikka masala is so good. The medium spice is perfect and I just love how much flavor there is. Unfortunately, their naan has been lacking for the last few months and has changed from when they first opened. We also ordered lots of naan. In terms of the food it was very good. My only complaint was the smell inside the restaurant. It smelled bad. Not like food-bad. Like dirty carpet bad. Delicious food and deceivingly large portions- we tried the veg pakora, kofta, saag paneer, baygan bharta and the chicken tikka masala. All were wonderful! The best thing was weirdly enough the rice- absolutely incredible Living in SLC I don't think I will drive to American Fork again to go there, but I am glad we went. Never in my wildest dreams did I think American Fork, Utah would be serving up some of the best Indian cuisine in the state. When we arrived, the lobby was packed with 10+ groups waiting to be seated. I was shocked to see this on a Monday night. (Turns out this place was on Yelp's Top 100 Places to Eat. Who knew!) Despite the crowds, we were still quoted a 20 minute wait... and to my surprise, we were seated 10 minutes later. I couldn't believe it! We ordered Mango Lassis, Chicken Tikka Masala, Butter Chicken and Naan. After my first bite I knew this place deserved its spot on the Top 100 list. The MOST flavorful Indian food I've had in a very very long time. Every bite was equally fresh and delicious. We joked about how excited we were to have leftovers. This was our third attempt at eating here and when we arrived at 4:07pm--7 minutes after they opened--we were already quoted a 30 minute wait. This time, we waited around. I needed to know what the buzz is all about. With that out of the way, let's talk about the food. Wow, just wow! The food was amazing. 10/10!!! We ordered vegetable samosas, chicken biryani, chicken tikka masala and two orders of garlic naan. I also ordered a Mango Lassi. Everything tasted so fresh! The chicken biryani comes in such a generous portion for the price point. I was happy to take some leftovers home because this stuff was great. The spices here are the star of the show: cloves, cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaves and etc. the rice was cooked perfectly and the chicken--dark meat, traditional in Biryani--was moist and absolutely delicious. I instantly forgot the wait when I took my first bite. The biryani also comes with some raita that's just perfect to cool down the heat from the biryani. The chicken tikka masala was also delicious. Very flavorful dish. The sauce was very buttery and the level of spice was just perfect. We chose medium for both our entrees. The samosas were also very delicious and had the perfect size for an appetizer. The mango lassi was so delicious. Such a smooth drink. The mango in it tasted fresh and I highly recommend it not only as a delicious beverage but also as a nice way to cool down the heat from your meal. The Staff were super friendly to us, especially to our one year old baby girl. They interacted with her multiple times. We never felt like we were being rushed. I saw a few reviews complaining about the staff being rude or rushing them due to the lace being busy, but they were so friendly to us. I cannot wait to come back. Side note: the waiting area cannot handle all the guests waiting to be seated. It was freezing outside and they do not take your phone number when you put your name down on the waiting list. A little odd for a place that's so good but also incredibly busy. So many other establishments have systems in place to notify you when your table is ready so you don't have to stand in a crowded room anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours waiting to be seated. read more

Some of the best service I've ever had. Everyone was so kind, attentive, and were insanely quick to refill rice! Everything was stand out! The tikki masala was super flavorful and very comforting. The mango chicken was very unique and well balanced, I love it. The samosas were decent I thought, not the best I've ever had but very solid flavor... They came with some very good sauces though. Little India delivers consistent delicious Indian food! We usually visit the one in Heber but this was equally wonderful. This time I discovered my new vegetarian dish- baygan bharta- their smoked eggplant mash. The flavors were amazing and a nice balance to the other super rich and saucy dishes. FYI- we all thought the peshawari naan was entirely too sweet- even our son did not love it. Service was good. The place is clean and welcoming, and the staff is incredibly friendly and attentive to every customer. We had more than one server checking on us frequently, making sure our drinks were always full and our food was to our satisfaction. They even topped off our rice when it was getting low. Little India earned five stars from me without question. This restaurant is very new. It replaced a now defunct chain, and when I walked into this new restaurant I was blown away by how they'd changed the place. They've added several walls within the restaurant, each with big murals depicting the Indian landscape. This makes the place feel small and intimate even though there's a good-sized show the staff is running behind the scenes. It was raining heavily the day my wife and I went to the restaurant, and I told her if they served onion bhajis (a traditional rainy season snack in southern India), we were getting some. They had the bhajis, and they were very good. Though in truth, they weren't perfect. I loved how thinly sliced the onions were and how uniform the fritter was, but they were a little more hard/crunchy than crispy, and the batter seemed a tad under seasoned. While I liked them, I didn't love them. So why five stars? Two reasons... First, this is the best lamb I've ever had in an Indian restaurant. Often lamb curry is hastily made and the lamb comes out chewy and sinewy. However, here the lamb had been carefully prepared and was perfectly tender. I enjoyed the curry mixed together with seasoned rice, but I ate the lamb slowly with pieces of naan so I could really savor what they'd accomplished. Cooking like this should be the standard. Second, Little India perfectly bridges the gap between being totally authentic to Indian food while catering to the American palate. For example, I can't really imagine "pineapple chicken" being served in a local dive in Bangladesh. It's a dish specifically made for the American appetite, yet it still tasted authentically Indian. I've been to other Indian restaurants that attempted something similar, and it just ended up seeming like American food with an Indian "vibe." This meal was very Indian, yet accommodating to patrons like my wife who prefers foods she is used to and that isn't spicy (I on the other hand had ordered something so spicy that my eyes were watering and I spent much of the meal nursing my lassi). Finally, the staff was great. Multiple people checked in on us, but not in a way that seemed like they were just checking boxes. They gave us extra rice and plenty of water, and we didn't have to wait for the bill (or for anything, really. The service was quite fast). I recommend any form of curry and anything with potatoes in it, and if you're splurging on a drink, try the mango lemonade, which is sweet, tangy, and viscous enough to leave a delightful mouthfeel. While I didn't love the lassi because it was too sweet and thin, not thick and salty like I'm used to, I'm sure most other patrons would disagree and say it's the first lassi they've ever really enjoyed. read more

Months ago, my friend told me about Little India and how delicious it was-so I added it to my list of places to try. It took me awhile, but I eventually made it to the restaurant. I visited at prime time on a Friday but still only waited about ten minutes. They did a good job of setting expectations and turning tables quickly. One thing I love is when restaurants-or any establishment, really, add to the ambience by providing appropriate music. They were playing some fantastic background Indian music and it set the mood nicely. There's also some pretty artwork and a mural in the lobby area that perfectly fit with the theme. The food was great-with large portion sizes and delicious flavor. The chicken tikka masala could have have a little more chicken, but what was there was tasty. My favorite thing about the experience was the nice older gentleman who refilled water. I drink a ton of water and my cup never went down below half full. I don't know that he speaks any English other than to say "thank you" which he would say as he refilled the water every few minutes. Very attentive and kind. Little India, I'll be back! read more

Food is great, we usually get mango and strawberry lassis to start, the fried onion ball things and a lime spritzer drink. Then two butter chicken entrées, two cucumber raitas and garlic naan. Price for food is fair, I'd actually say under priced for the value and quality in comparison to other Indian places we've gone to. It's more popular now, so there are sometimes waits, but overall they move quickly and it's worth the wait. We never get the deserts, so no option on their deserts.
