    Chicken Majestic (Boneless)
    Apoorva B.

I think my forever hunt for good Indian place in SLC has come to an end. My husband and I have heard of this place but it has changed quite a bit from the first time we visited this place. We ordered their combo and got chicken majestic, one chicken dum biryani and one goat biryani and everything for 40 dollars which is a real deal. We also got carrot halwa but that was the only below average thing. Everything else was good, the quantities were good too. I only wish they had good service too because there was just one person managing all the tables and the place was pretty packed

I can't believe I never heard of this place or eaten here til now. This might be the best Indian restaurant I've been to. The menu is extensive with items you can not find in other Indian restaurants. And it's not a buffet style for lunch, you order top notch menu items. I will be coming back and bringing anyone that enjoys good food here. Sadly I only got one picture before we dove in to all the food we got. We started off with pani puri, pictured, hollow crispy dough balls that you crack open and fill with an assortment of sauces and fillings. Chicken 65 was a great appetizer of battered and fried chicken. Goat sukka is something I had for the first time and was hands down the most flavorful thing we ate. Perhaps the best biryani I've had as well. I don't think you can go wrong but did not have enough room for the chicken pulav or dosas. They have all the items you know and love like butter chicken and curries, but this is where you need to come and try new Indian cuisine

Chicken Butter Masala and garlic cheese naan

Yelpers, you do not need eat Indian food anywhere else. This is the real deal. And the best deal. My wife and I had the butter masala, tikka masala, butter naan, garlic cheese naan, and mango lassi. It was enough for three or four meals and walked out with leftovers with a bill of only $45. This is a bargain for the best masala and naan we have ever had, period. So delicious! Yes, look at their ratings here by the large number of reviews. Same for their reviews on Google Maps. Yeah, this place is outstanding. For several first bites of our food, it was peppered with utterances of "Oh....SO good!" "Oh, man...." "Delicious!" Yes, you must try this place. Or you're not a true foodie. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good. I will definitely return and I will go out of my way to go here. Worth every dime of my money. 4* = Outstanding. Top-tier. Some elements not quite as good as it gets, but it still is worthy of my regular business. 3* = Good experience. I might do repeat business if it is convenient, the only option, the only one in its category, or on a whim, but would not be among the first thing to come to mind. Would definitely recommend you trying it to get your own take on it. 2* = Not so good. Would not recommend at all. Waste of money. 1* = How are they still in business? Stay away at all costs!

Great Indian food! This place has a lot of options. I really enjoyed the cheese garlic naan. The texture of the naan bread is not your typical naan. It was much softer, which I greatly enjoyed. This establishment also has a lot of naan flavors. I had to try the rosemary one since it's not typically available at other Indian restaurants. It was good but I definitely prefer the cheese garlic naan over it. The chicken wings, specifically bone in, were cooked nicely - the meat was very moist and tender, while having a nice exterior crunch. The honey garlic glazed was my favorite flavor. The Manchurian wings were a bit too salty for me. The lamb coconut korma was delicious! Per my request, it was indeed very spicy! The spice added a hardy nice kick to it. Our server was fine, not the most attentive but he did the job. There is a good amount of seating here, and they have booths that are very long to accommodate bigger parties.

Great prices and portions. Authentic for sure. Very very good. Digital menu is difficult to understand with no description on many dishes.

The new interior refresh is nice, modern, and inviting...and a pleasant departure from the typical Indian restaurant... Although I think some modern cultural artwork, paintings, and decorations would be very fitting as an add-on to the Jalwa restaurant. Our waiter was very pleasant (although he spoke in hushed tones...and it was difficult to hear him.) He also got a little confused as to what we were looking for with respect to just wanting the papadums with chutney (which is a standard appetizer at most Indian restaurants that we've patronized,) but instead we got vegetable pakora with chutney and just plain papadums on the side. Hmmmm. Nevertheless, it was all delicious. My wife's main entree was the butter chicken, and we both shared a saag aloo. I had my go-to chicken vindaloo, and it was delicious. The portion sizes are humongous, which is a nice departure from the typical Indian restaurant where you pay $15 and get maybe half the bowl that Jalwa provides. Overall, an excellent experience and will be back to patronize more often. Oh, and they're newly updated and revised menu is awesome! Dozens and dozens of options. It took us at least 10 minutes to get through it all to figure out what we wanted! Four stars for good food (and plenty of it), good service, and a nice new atmosphere as compared to Aroma. Absolutely recommend!

Service: Quick and friendly. Food: Got the Sesame Crispy Potato, garlic potatoes, and the chicken tikka masala. Everything was pretty good tbh and they definitely do not skimp on the spice when you ask for it which was a pleasant surprise! The tikka masala was a bit sweeter than I'd like and I ran out of meat way before I ran out of the curry, but it was good. Overall, decent Indian place. Nothing amazing, but it's got everything you need.

Inside the restaurant had very lovely, eye-catching decor. I was greeted and welcomed warmly immediately by what seemed to be the owner. Inside was somewhat busy for lunch but I was seated right away. When my order was taken, I planned on getting the same items as before, but my server was kind enough to suggest some new dishes to me. He recommended the paneer masala and garlic naan. Convinced me on the spot, and the flavors did NOT disappoint. I like my food spicy and had the paneer masala made very very hot. The gravy was perfect. The naan was fresh, crispy, airy, and paired nicely with the paneer masala. My order came with a side of rice, which was a nice alternative to the naan. The employees made their rounds often to make sure all customers were satisfied and enjoying. For dessert, I decided on warm gulab jamun. The order came with four, and was very yummy. Highly recommend if you're craving delicious Indian food in the area. I believe they also have other locations in nearby cities/towns.
