Incredible service. I felt like a friend who they were feeding. Hari and Cava (I hope | spelled it right!) were the kindest and took their time with helping me find out what to eat. And once we got the food, oh my goodness. Wow. It tastes like my dad's homemade food when he spends all day cooking. There were a few moments in the meal when I wanted to cry. So much flavor, so warm, perfect textures of the chicken, the seasoned rice was beyond delicious. And then you get it all on this beautiful colorful plate. I had a very small window between meetings and needed some food fast, so I popped over to the food court at City Creek. ZIMBU had the smallest line (why are people lined up for Chik-Fil-A at all hours of the day, there are so many better options out there!) and it smelled fantastic, so I jumped in. Not 4 minutes later I had hot food in my hands and was headed back to the office. I opted with a chicken over veggie pulao with tikka sauce, which seemed like the right call for variety's sake. Portions were generous and it was served up piping hot. I'm not going to say that this is fantastic Indian food. But I think context is important, so I'll say it's fantastic fast Indian food. I had visited their Sandy location a year ago and wasn't wowed, but this was much improved and hit all the right flavors. There's no substitute for sitting down over made-to-order Indian food, but if you need a quick hit and don't have much time, this is absolutely a great choice. With tip it came to $15 so it's not something I'll do often, but would indeed go again if the situation was right. read more

I really loved this fast casual place and all the flavors and options that were offered. The staff were very friendly and helpful and quick. I'm a huge fan of tofu so that's what I got and the tikka masala paired deliciously with it. We also ordered the seasoned rice and added tikka sauce to rice and coconut sauce to the medium chicken. It was all excellent and I fed my wife and myself for under $15 with a mango lassi. I ordered some curry, took one bite and it was not good. The chicken looked red and dry while the curry was mostly water. The taste was terrible. I immediately asked for a refund and was told that their customers don't get refunds even if their didn't like the food. Who does this? The food was bad. I didn't get my refund and didn't eat the food. They took my money and didn't provide the service I paid for. I would give them 0 stars if I could. Bad food and bad service. read more

This place is in the mall food court and is easy to walk past on your way to sbarros, but you will smell the spices when you get nearby and it is a good indicator of what is waiting behind the counter. The pulao was light and delicious and the curry was just sweet and spiced enough. My naan was very expensive and hard, which I should have taken back, but I was in a rush. read more

This is pretty decent Indian food for a food court! The chili chicken is good and the spicy chili momos are delicious. The tikka masala sauce is not super flavorful, but we mixed in the sauce from the momos and it took it up several notches. Overall, not too shabby, but you don't get the feeling you do at a sit down restaurant that has spent years perfecting recipes. I'd still go back! I love food from this part of the world. ZIMBU had lots of options and is run similar to a Cafe Rio, only with Indian/Nepali cuisine. It's above average for a non-sit down Indian restaurant--a little better than what you get at some Indian lunch buffets. I had the chicken tikka with makhani sauce (you choose your own bread, rice, meat, and sauce), lamb with the korma, veggie polau rice, and their naan. The veggie pilau was aromatic and tasty. The naan was moist (good but not tikka roasted). The lamb chucks were small and tough but I love lamb, so they were okay to me. The chicken tikka with butter sauce was pretty good too. All in all, it's about what you'd expect with Indian fast food--similar to a buffet quality, so if you're craving Indian food, don't have much time, and are eating at City Creek, it's worth a shot. read more

This was my first time eating at ZIMBU. But I do eat Nepalese about once a month or so. I liked the variety, the friendly service and the delicious food! I had tikka chicken with the tikka masala sauce. It was delicious. I also had vegetables with the sauce the employee recommended (I don't remember what it was called). I also had the yellow rice. They were all very flavorful and tasted more indulgent than I had expected from the food court. The mango lassi is one of the best I've had. I highly recommend them next time you're at the food court, or the next time you're craving Nepalese (it's worth the mall trip). read more

I was so happy when I saw that an Indian restaurant moved into the City Creek food court! I have eaten at Zumba now about 5-6 times, and it is consistently delicious! I love the paneer, and chicken tikka, and every sauce I have tried has been sooo good! And their mango lassi's are super tasty! I highly recommend trying Zimbu next time you're in the food court! Great new Nepali/ Indian restaurant. You can get a plate (two entres plus choice of rice and choice of bread) or a bowl (one entre plus rice and bread). Then choose your sauce (Tikka masala and ZIMBU sauce were great), and you're done! Fast, fresh, easy. A great addition to the food court. read more

I frequent Key Bank Tower for work, especially meetings, and I am very delighted to see Zimbu in the food court. I am generally limited on time, so this place is a great option for me, the staff did what I asked and the food came out wonderful. I tried the Chicken Tikka with Tava Vegetables along with the Zimbu Curry. I especially like their option of choosing the Entree and Sauce the combination could be endless. I will definitely be back.
