Modern spin on Mediterranean food. They have gyros, salads, wraps, & rice or salad bowls. Very clearly labeled gluten free and vegan options. The server was very helpful with telling me what I could and couldn't eat. I ordered the Vegan Remix Bowl & some sweet potato fries (cooked in canola oil & cross contaminated with other fried dishes so keep that in mind for GF options). I enjoyed the flavor profiles & their unique sauces. The falafel had a bit of a sweet taste which was a first for me but not bad at all. The reason for the 3 stars is that when a different staff person, Hispanic, dropped off my food, I noticed the cabbage slaw had carrots in it, which I wasn't aware of. When I informed them, they were very rude and stormed off before I could even request for the cabbage slaw to be completely removed. When I finally got a hold of them, they had an attitude and claimed the slaw could not be removed, which was not true. They repeatedly kept telling me it couldn't be removed and was not comprehending what I was saying. Outside of that, I would recommend this place. read more

So happy we found this place when we were visiting SLC on a work trip. We were actually headed to lunch at a place around the corner when the patio caught our attention. The food smelled incredible and the patio was packed, so we pivoted and came here instead. You order at the counter and food comes out in about 15-20 minutes. We were very pleased with all the food and the staff was very kind! You really can't go wrong with any of the food options-- the bowls, wraps, and even the fries were all so good. No complaints from our table and we'll be back next time we're in town! read more

such a staple for me in SLC. I come here when I want something fast and delicious! I pretty much always get the bowls with either chicken or mixed me and it never disappointment! Fast Mediterranean street food. We ordered takeout and when we arrived we waited several minutes for our food, which was no issue, but when we arrived home (we live next door) our food was all very cold which was confusing? The food itself was very flavorful, we tried their berliner doner and their sweet potato street cart fries. Everything was delicious and craveable, exactly what you would want from Mediterranean cuisine. I just hope to try it hot next time. read more

We tried the traditional lamb gyro, the lamb street wrap, and also sampled the falafel with hummus. Everything was excellent-flavorful and fresh. They do have an outdoor seating area; it's not very large, with space for about five tables, but it was enough for us to enjoy dinner outside. I am actually incredibly impressed with this place. I think that they have some of the best Mediterranean bowls available in the area. The portion sizes are amazing. I did come during the lunch rush so they were very friendly but definitely understaffed. It felt like we waited about 25 minutes to get our two bowls and fries. I would recommend coming here either 20 minutes before your usual lunchtime or 20 minutes after because once it slowed down their service improved. I absolutely love the bar top. I think it's a good vibe if you're having a casual lunch by yourself. And I like their beer offering also. read more

I had this delivered to my hotel by the airport through DoorDash. For being 5:30 on a Friday when I ordered I was happy to have it arrive in 40 minutes. This food was everything the reviews said. I was very impressed with the quality, taste and quantity. I started with a single order of the doquitos. Basically a gyro done as a taquito. Had I done the double order ad a side it would have been plenty for dinner. I next did the gyro with lamb and beef. Plenty of meat, veggies and cheese. A little light on the sauce but still flavorful. They were running a 2 for 1 special but one was all I could eat. In conclusion this was a great find for something simple in my room. I absolutely love Spitz. I think they do such a good job with just about everything. It is a counter service. The menu is so good with something for everyone. I went with a group today, and someone with us is gluten free. She really appreciated that there was a specific spot on the menu for gluten free items. She ended up ordering the gluten free remix bowl. She really liked the texture of the crispy garbanzos and loved the whole bowl overall. My husband got the street cart doner wrap and liked it. He got it with the beef and lamb. He liked the flavor on the meat but felt like the portion size could've been better. He got a Pilsner beer and thought it was good. I got the street cart fries with both kinds of fries. These are actually so so good! I think moving forward I would get just the sweet potatoes fries because I like those ones a lot more. The soda fountain is behind the counter which I didn't totally love, but you can go up and ask for as many refills as you'd like. Their Diet Coke brew was INCREDIBLE!! Spitz has pioneered an upscale quick-service restaurant concept that combines the food quality, ambiance and customer service typically found in upscale dining with the price and speed most often associated with fast food. History

Established in 2007.

Josh Hill and Tanner Slizeski have been dreaming about bringing the Döner kebab (pronounced duh-ner keh-bob) back to Utah for years. Both of them first experienced the deliciousness of the Döner while studying abroad in Europe, and seeing the success their childhood friend Bryce Rademan has had opening several Spitz locations around Los Angeles they knew that Utah needed the amazing combination of Döner kebab, fresh veggies, craft beer, unique mixed drinks and sangria that Spitz is famous for. Bryce and his business partner Robert Wicklund built the first European-style Doner Kebab restaurant in Los Angeles, and in so doing, they raised the bar on all upscale quick-service eateries. Josh and Tanner are proud to be bringing the Spitz concept and everything it stands for to Utah, and are determined to insure that the food quality, ambiance and customer service will never be sacrificed. I've had shakshuka before, and this was easily one of the best versions I've tasted. Every bite was comforting, hearty, and packed with flavor. Spud went with a Laziz salad alongside another helping of the roasted cauliflower, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Everything that came to the table looked thoughtfully prepared, fresh, and beautifully presented. What made the experience truly memorable, though, was our waitress, Omri. As a Deaf customer, it's always a pleasant surprise when someone can communicate directly in sign language. Omri signed with us, made us feel genuinely welcome, and provided exceptional service from beginning to end. I'm not normally compelled to write reviews but today's visit to Spitz merits one. The food here is typically solid but today the service was downright insulting. I was eating lunch with a friend at the bar area. The place was busy but it still exuded a comfortable vibe. When I decided I'd be taking half of my meal to go, I flagged down one of the employees (a female wearing a skull cap) and I asked her if I could trouble her for something to wrap my meal in. I was as polite as possible-- going so far as to preface my question with 'I'm sorry'. The employee stopped dead in her tracks, we locked eyes, and without so much as uttering a word she pointed to the cash register area (where apparently all restaurants must keep their to-go complements). At that point, she shook her head and went into the kitchen. Uhh... what? I had just spent $20 (+ tip). A customer is entitled to a civilized response and this single employee's behavior managed to tarnish my opinion of what is otherwise a good place to grab a meal. For the other employee working the counter, you were awesome. Time will tell if I will return. If management is listening, the food is great but an attitude check is definitely in order. *NOTE: Thanks for the prompt reply Tanner. Im sure I'll be back. read more

The restaurant is decorated really cute with art on every wall. The woman who rang us up was so friendly and helpful. She went through and explained multiple menu items since it was our first time. All around good vibes! We had no complaints. They gave us a free baklava to do a review. I usually don't like baklava much but this one was really good! Stopped by the Spitz in Lehi and had such a great experience. I ordered the street cart fries, and they were absolutely loaded with flavor crispy, fresh, and the perfect balance of savory and tangy. Ill definitely be back for more street cart fries. This review would have been a 5 star if it wasnt for the rude service. I liked it!! I had the Mediterranean wrap with falafel, and I wished I had gone with something else. The falafel was dry and didn't have great flavor. The rest of the wrap was pretty good. My husband got the Berliner bowl with beef/lamb and it was so good!! So I think doing meat over falafel is the best choice. The fried pita strips in hummus were fantastic also.
