Some of the best food in the valley! I don't make it out this way as much as I'd like to, but when I do it's such a treat to enjoy a meal here. Nepali Chuli is one of my proudest restaurant recommendations. If you happen to be doing any business in this area the delicious aroma wafting from the general direction of this restaurant is unmistakable and irresistible. The service is very friendly, there is a large dining area with different sizes of booths and tables available, I get the impression it might be able to fit quite a large party. The first meal I had here was masala papadam, lamb coconut curry, bison momos, garlic cheese naan, a mango lassi, and a rose lassi (leftovers for days! So worth it) My second time around I ordered the lamb coconut korma, garlic naan, and a rose lassi. Absolutely delicious, the garlic naan was recommended by my waitress and I think it's even better than the garlic cheese naan. I don't think I've ever finished a meal from a restaurant, I was full and just about to ask for a takeout container when she offered me something different that I may like better. I thought this was so kind and generous for an establishment to go to these lengths to ensure every diner has a great experience. Can't wait to come back and explore the menu even more. 10/10 recommend! read more

I hadn't planned on Indian for our airport hotel night but there were very few gluten free places available for delivery and this one had GF menu items marked (much appreciated!) the one snafu was that i ordered delivery through their website and it took forever but just use doordash or grubhub and I don't think it will be an issue. The owner of the restaurant even threw in an extra dessert since he knew the driver was taking too long to pick up the food! Next time I fly into slc I'm grabbing this to go for our arrival night dinner. SO GOOD! That grilled lamb dish - oh just SO yum. Got here at 8:30. Ordered 2 dishes chicken butter and fish curry another group came in at 8:40 ordered basically the same 2 dishes. Their food came out 5 minutes before ours. So I was a little upset about that. The food is very delicious and fresh so I would say definitely eat here just don't expect the best service. read more

The best Nepalese meal I've ever had, friendly service, and plenty of variety--I'd definitely return. I loved the non-veggie Thali which came with generous portions of a tomato based paneer, yellow lentil daal, very tender chickpea/chana in a delicious tomato based sauce, and a real treat: delicious bone-in goat curry. Came with a lot of naan and rice, and a mango pudding dessert (which seemed delicious but I sadly couldn't eat much of as I'm lactose intolerant and milk destroys me--staff couldn't be nicer asking to give me another dessert but it was a very generous serving of food)! Almost a week after visiting this establishment I checked my credit card statement to find I'd been DOUBLE-CHARGED the ENTIRE order amount. So I called the restaurant to ask for my refund. Imagine my surprise when the guy on the other end nonchalantly lets me know he'll get to it either today or tomorrow!!!!! NO apology, NO sense of urgency, NOTHING. He just let me know they have some new system and some others have had the same issue too!!! After letting him know multiple times I needed this issue attended to while I was on the phone and being told he'd call me eventually, I said I would recoup the fraudulent charge via my bank and that is exactly what I did. The food was tasty and what I would consider quite authentic. The restaurant ambiance felt homey and focused on the food quality, which I love. The food reminded me of homemade Nepalese food I'd had years ago. The server refilled water plentifully and they followed up asking us if we were first time diners. The mango lassi was tart and delicious, unique in my opinion to others I've had before. I was basic and ordered the butter chicken and had it with rice and bread. My fiancé ordered the soup and it was a very unique but delicious soup, with a large portion. Overall, the service was wonderful and the food flavorful and inexpensive. We started with the Samosa Chat and it was really enjoyable. Lot's of different flavors from bite to bite. Highly recommended. I got the Chef's Special Garlic Chicken and it was phenomenal. Very strong flavors. I got mine at max spice level and it was very satisfying. I think this was the best Indian/Nepali dish I've ever had. The chicken had great texture. My wife got Chicken Tikka Masala and while she enjoyed it, it wasn't her favorite example of the dish. I'd suggest that if you go here you venture a little off the standard Indian restaurant offerings and try some of their more unique (for this area) offerings. read more

Shrimp were large, portions were more than enough. Samosas were on point. Paneer cheese sticks are a different take on the mozzarella cheesestick, with a light coating. 3.5 stars but I ultimately rounded down because the service was a little odd. I came with my boyfriend and a few friends. My friends from this group were all from India so they have a higher standard when it comes to this kind of cuisine. Two of them are vegetarian and the other 3 of us are omnivores so we tried many different dishes. The restaurant was basic; it is in a strip mall and the decor was simple. The service was just okay, nothing above and beyond, and there were a few moments where we were really not as pleased. My friend asked for a tissue paper or napkin to spit out her chewing gum before eating and the waiter completely forgot even though she said she could get one for her. Some items came out really slowly without them saying anything so my friends thought they were forgotten, but they turned out to be just very late. When we were ordering, my friend asked about what kind of curry is in the vegetable thali and the server was quite dismissive in her tone and said she has no way of knowing, since that's just dependent on the chef's choice. It would have been more appropriate to say that she can go ask the chef. Twice during the meal, a person who seemed to be the owner came to our table to ask where we are visiting from-- the first time he asked, we already told him we live in SLC. The second time he asked, we said SLC again and he gave a look like he still didn't believe us. I thought that was a bit weird. Now on to the food; it was quite a mixed bag. As a table, we ordered a wide variety of dishes. Garlic cheese naan -- good but nothing special. 4/5 Mango lassi-- my friend got this and thought it was very average. 3.5/5 Lamb briyani, mild spice-- quite greasy but very tasty and mild was a good spice level with still a ton of flavor. We liked it. 4.5/5 Vegetable momos-- not cooked all the way; my vegetarian friends had to pick around the wrappers to not eat the hard undercooked wrappers. 2.5/5 Bison momos-- a little bit bland, dry, and the wrappers were also not cooked all the way and were hard. 3/5 Chicken momos-- also undercooked wrappers. 3/5 Garlic chicken (chef's special) with rice, medium spice- really delicious! A few of us tried this and all loved it. 5/5 Channa masala-- my vegetarian friend thought it was really average and that the fry bread that came with it was not good (she only ate about 1 of the 5 included and left the rest). Vegetable kofta-- my other vegetarian friend who had this thought it was average. 3/5 I would probably come back just for the garlic chicken and maybe biryani, and hope that the service will be better next time. read more

We stopped by on a road trip because we saw the wonderful reviews and were craving Nepalese food. We were greeted immediately upon entering and rushed to a table.....and then ignored for a while. They seemed decently busy but the dining room was no where near full. We made eye contact multiple times with our server but kept getting ignored by her. Our server eventually came over and brought us water but didn't even give us a chance to tell her we were ready to order. Eventually we ordered and food came out in a very reasonable amount of time. Portion sizes were great. We received much more naan than we're used to getting anywhere else. But unfortunately, I just couldn't finish my food. Spice level was perfectly hot but aside from that, it was lacking in flavor. Then, when we were done, we got tired of waiting so we grabbed our own take out boxes. Our server saw us doing so and didn't even bother to come ask if we needed anything. We had to go up to the front register area to ask for the check. She brought our check over after helping her other tables and again, tired of waiting, we had to flag her down at the front register area to pay our bill so we could leave. This seemed to be a common theme of other parties dining that night. Looking around the restaurant, we noticed other parties frustratingly waiting as well and grabbing their own take out boxes. At no point did our server ever apologize for the wait. I understand staffing shortages and it's no fault of the server if I didn't enjoy the food. But just the complete lack of care for customer service and blatantly ignoring us. She also was wearing Airpods so that did not seem very professional to me. This is one of my favorites. Today I ordered take out and got the chicken soup which was really good! Had fresh veggies, enjoyed the peas especially and lots of chicken. I also ordered the garlic cheese naan, I have to get it every time because I don't know any other Indian restaurant that has it and it's delicious! The other 2 items I ordered were chicken tikka masala and curry fish which has mahi mahi in it, I like it hot so got them both extra spicy and they were sooo good! Have plenty of leftovers for a few more meals, I love that I won't have to cook for a while and have great food in the fridge to look forward to read more

We both got rice and one side of garlic cheesy naan. Our son got the kids fried rice. Everything was amazing! As we were paying our bill our server brought us a mango pudding on the house which was delicious!
