We are visiting from NY and DC, and came here today and enjoyed their buffet lunch. 1. It is the best Indian buffet I have ever had clear across the country. 2. For the price- the food was unbelievably good and the largest variety I have seen in a long time and includes soda. 3. The apps - bahji, pakora, was not oily and tasty. 4. The veg dishes were tasty and a variety of flavors. At least 4 diff veg mains- eggplant, banana, gourd- all delicious! 5. Chicken biryani was tasty, as well as the butter chkn and tandoori chkn, chkn curry too. (Too full to try the goat curry!) 6. Desserts were good and freshly made - gulab jamun and a mango fruit salad were delicious. All authentic and tasty- better than I expected! Service was good also- very sweet people. Love this place! The food is always fresh and delicious in flavor and even spices. They always have fast service as well as a great atmosphere and clean dinner area for everyone. I would definitely recommend the lamb coconut korma and cheese naan to go with. For appetizers their vegetable samosas and spinach pakora are definitely a must! I consider this a hidden gem because they are never too packed (even though they deserve it). Haven't tried their buffet option yet but I'm sure it's as great as the order menu. read more

I think the main thing you come here for us the food, which was really delicious. We shared some garlic Naan and tempura veggies. The Naan was perfect. In the veggies, I had a hard time discerning what veggies I was eating. Would have preferred bigger pieces. I loved the chicken Tikka Masala! I was trying to save some to take home, but keep eating until there was nothing left to take. The ambiance is really lacking decor but it was clean and well lit. The service was hit and miss. I kept asking for a tea I'd ordered, but it was forgotten for quite awhile. It came around mid-meal. Then we wanted some things as appetizers but everything came together. She was very kind though! Ganesh really missed the mark for me. The food was ok-ish, but the price point was WAY too high for the amount of food received. Unfortunately, I won't order from here again. The paneer tikka masala contained exactly 9 small cubes of paneer. 9! For $14! My husband and I split this dish, leaving us 4.5 small cubes of substance in what was more like a soup. I can understand the cost of meat being higher and maybe needing to go a bit less in that area, but i found this vegetarian dish to be completely unacceptable. If I wanted to have tomato soup, I could have gotten this much cheaper elsewhere. The masala dosa was not good either. The potato filling was hardly flavored at all, and the dosa itself was burned. Also, unacceptable. The lamb korma did have an ok amount meat, and the flavor was pretty good. It was way too spicy for me, but my husband enjoyed it. It was the only redeeming part of the meal. "Delicious, but disappointing." Maybe we should have eaten in the restaurant instead of ordering through their website for pickup. I'm wondering if the positive reviews are from folks who dined in. Right at the start of dinner we ordered 5 dishes to share with 6 people. The cost with a small discount for ordering online and picking up came to $107. For the price the portion sizes should have been larger. Usually I can split a dish between 3 people with each person getting a decent amount of food. The 2 paneer dishes we ordered contained 9 small cubes of paneer in each. The chicken dish had very little meat. The vegetable dish was mostly sauce. 5 orders of naan should have been enough for 5 people to have two each, at least in my experience. There are so many cheaper options that are just as delicious that give larger portion sizes. read more

BEST SAMOSAS! I used to live near a small Indian grocery store in California and the owner sold homemade samosas. When I tried Ganesh Indian Cuisine, it was like I was I was back at that market. The samosas was freshly cooked and crispy! The red sauce on top of it **chef's kiss ** we haven't tried the rest of the food but we've gotten the samosas a few times. The service was a bit slow for being empty but maybe they're making it from scratch? It was worth the wait! The interior is really nice and clean. SUPER disappointed with this place. We've used discounts for takeout multiple times and they were so rude about it this time and refused to accept them. They were just so rude! AND we asked for one entree with no spice and another with medium spice and they both had the same amount of spice so I wasn't even able to eat mine. This place is garbage on customer service and food orders and you would be better off going anywhere else. Bhutan is the best in Utah so we WONT be venturing from them again. read more

WOW! THIS FOOD IS SO AMAZING AND YUMMY!! I have been to a few Indian restaurants and never tasted as great as this place! My husband and I ordered Channa Masala (vegetarian) with Naan bread (no butter) and it was soooo good! They also have a few more vegetarian options but I am already in love with the Channa Masala. We also ordered Assorted Vegetable Pakora and that was also very good. Definitely recommend this place! Place was very clean and had great customer service. Our waitress was really sweet and helpful. The food here is pretty good. We have been here twice. Which is why now I feel I have a fair reason for only giving 2 stars. The first time we came here we order online from their website. Waited till the time we were told. Went inside waited about 5 minutes for anyone to acknowledge we were there. Once they did they told us they never received our order and we must have ordered off a third party website (I've been burned too many times this way so I always triple check im not on a site like that. But mistakes happen, so its ok.) They tell us it will be another 20 minutes. So we go out to our car. Wait 20 minutes go back in. We ended up waiting inside at least another 12-15 minutes for it to be ready. Whatever caused this to happen was very frustrating. I assume for them too. But not being acknowledged both times for a total of 20 minutes is just too much. Even a "hi I'll be with you soon" would have made me happy. The food was good so we decided to try it again. But this time thought we would be smart and safe and call them directly. I called 3 times. Each time it rang twice then I heard it pick up and could hear people in the background but thats it. I said "hello" each time. Nothing. I waited 20ish seconds, nothing. So making a poor choice we decide we to order online again! Same way as the first time. They said 20 minutes. We got here 25 minutes later, walked in and was actually acknowledged this time but told it wasn't done and to wait another 10 minutes. I won't be coming back here. I really enjoyed my dinner from Ganesh Indian Cuisine. It is a new location they have in the Midvale area (right off 7200 South). I ordered the Hyderabad Chicken Dum Biryani for myself and the Chicken Tikka Masala curry for my friend. They were both delicious! The medium spice level is quite spicy, so next time, I'll probably do mild. But, both dishes were so flavorful. This location has ample parking around the building. When you walk into the building, on the right hand side is the restaurant and on the left hand side is a marketplace where you can buy South Asian goods. Loved this set-up! I definitely recommend this place! It is my first time ever entering an Indian restaurant and it was a wonderful experience. The place is very clean and organized. The indoor designer did an amazing job at making the place visually appealing. Everything is extremely clean and well-maintained. More importantly, the cuisine is outstanding! I've been going to the Midvale location since it opened and the food has always been 5 star. Been to American Fork and it too is 5 star. Recently when I've been in to the Midvale location, at around 1:15 p.m. for the buffet, which recently has almost always been depleted. When we have asked if they are going to replenish it? The response was, yes, with an attitude. It then takes about 20 minutes for them to replenish it and by then our lunch is over. We haven't seen the owner there for some time now and the new manager has an attitude towards customers wanting to have a full Buffet menu to choose from, instead of empty pans. The buffet is open until 2:30, you would think that it would be maintained until at least 2. Mister owner, could you please talk to your manager? We would hate to not go there anymore; it's such good food. read more
