They started off really bad, but it got better. I ordered the lamb shanks and my friend ordered the chicken burger. They didn't have either. The waiter said they are a newer business and things have been slow so they just didn't have everything on the menu. I ended up getting the lamb kabobs and my buddy got the chicken kabobs. The dining area was clean but the design of the dining benches were odd. The benches don't properly fit the table sizes, and the table wobbled, which was odd because it was a newer table with a heavy base. The wood worker who did the trim work had no skills at all, very bad cuts and gaps. When we got our food things greatly improved. The lamb kabobs I ordered were the best I've ever had. The rice was very good. Plus they gave us a big side plate of veggies with the meal. Unfortunately it felt as if this place won't last. They only had 1 to go customer the whole time we were there. New ownership @ Kabob House may not be helping. Sure, it's a cute lil family-owned Afghani restaurant..But sadly, the food did not live up to expectations. In fact, the entree we had was a complete fail. Their Saji whole chicken was overcooked and so dry it was barely edible. Some outer parts were cooked until literally rock hard. We got our order to go, and it was supposed to come with naan and rice, but we later realized both were absent. The extra sauces we asked for, also absent. Masala fries we added were plentiful for only $3, but just seasoned crinkle cut fries from a bag, nothing special. Service was friendly. Ambiance comfortable and cultural. But they had plenty of time to get our small order right and could not pull it off. They should definitely be ashamed of ever serving chicken like that. Hard pass. read more

Kabob Bros is SOLID. First off, the staff is very friendly. It feels less like a restaurant and more like you're at a family friend's house where they're cooking you dinner. The beef tikka plate was flavorful and spiced well. It was perfect for lunch since I wasn't looking for anything too heavy yet wanted something good. Kabob bros is no more. New ownership, it's called kabob house now. I was a long time customer of kabob bros, went there almost every Friday. But I don't think I will be going to this place anymore. The Lamb Shank Nihari and Chicken Biryani were plenty of food for two and really good! Three drumsticks in the Biryani and Lamb was tender & melt-in-your-mouth with a hearty, rich sauce. Garlic Naan is soft and flavorful. Everything FRESH! Modern urban atmosphere which for me didn't fit with the food but I get it given this community. You get a lot of food for a really reasonable price! You order at the counter and then pick your own table and then the workers bring the food out to you. There are water cups by the drinking fountain and there are napkin dispensers at the tables. The inside of the restaurant was clean and had some nice background music. Our food was brought out we had some chicken fries our butter chicken plates and then there was a salad looking plate that we were questioning it. We started picking at our food DEFINITELY touched that salad and started eating. The guy who brought out our food said "mmmm this one is not yours" (salad) and takes the plate away. This is a great place to have lunch or dinner, especially with a vegetarian friend. It's a smaller restaurant but I always find a place to sit. The staff is very polite too. I enjoy the tikka wraps here (it's one of the things I craved while pregnant), but my favorite thing is the Ramadan special. The garlic naan was wonderful and served piping hot. It was a large piece and had unique bubbles and valleys all over, perfect for retaining sauce when sopping. TIP: if you enjoy extra strong flavors like I do, ask for some extra tikka sauce (free) -- they initially err on the side of soft versus strong flavor, likely because many patrons like things a little less spicier. I can't speak on all the menu items, as it seems people like a lot of things here. But I've only gone once, and I ordered the Chicken Tikka Masala. It was my first time trying the dish, so I don't have any reference points for comparison. But I know for a fact what I received was microwaved. I heard the microwave door in the kitchen, and my food came out in a matter of minutes, served in a plastic dish. The chicken was floating in a pool of grease, and I couldn't eat much. Ended up eating mostly rice. I've seen pictures of the dish before, including the one in the restaurant, and it looked nothing alike, I've seen TV dinners that looked more appetizing. I was fairly surprised by the complete lack of Kabobs. I got the Chicken Tikka Platter and Chicken Tikka Masala. Both were alright. Honestly for these items there are a number of places I would go before I would go back. Nothing wrong but the flavors just didn't wow me, a little too muted. I also got the Lamb Shank Nahari and it was a bit gamey. The way they packaged my food this dish ended up tipping on it's side and a lot of the liquid from it went all over the bag. I'll be more cautious if I order take out from them again, probably by completely reorganizing the bag and or bringing an additional bag so that this doesn't happen again. I'm just going to say again, I was sort of expecting them to have meat served on a kabob. I get that it's more or less a style of cooking, but I was surprised that nothing I saw on the menu was meat on a stick. They did have some interesting items that were a little different, like using naan to make a pizza. I didn't really order any of that stuff, sticking with more traditional items. Waiting for this one to open for awhile now, the wait is over! So bonus star for being newly opened. Their "street" take on the traditional is pretty tasty, the samosas have a nice little kick that others have not had. They were fully cooked but the peas remained firm and not mushy. I also tried the chickens street fries, which were supposed to be the beef but whatever. Kinda like nachos but with waffle fries. The chicken was a bit dry due to the second reheating to melt the cheese. The outside of the chicken had a good coating of flavor, too bad it didn't go all the way through. I never give review for food but I think I have to this time. Ordered chicken biryani, that has almost 20 raisins, which Pakistani Biryani have raisins? Not authentic at all. Plus, biryani was served with Cesar sauce. Authentic Biryani served with Raita. Ordered Lamb shank Nihari, that has a tomato flavor, it's more like a Karahi. Nothing is authentic Pakistani here. First time checking out this place tonight and it was awesome ! We got the kabob plate and the lamb shank, both were super great especially the shank and it didn't break the bank. Prices were fair and the meat was tender/fall off the bone and the combo with the naan+ sauces was super top rank. I'd recommend getting a side of rice with the shank to pour the remaining sauces over the rice because the shank sauce is dank and you don't want to waste such good sauce- I wish they sold the stuff in tanks! Anyways...The owners were incredibly hospitable and nice- stopped by the table to ask how everything was, the son took our order and he was such a ray of sunshine, provided great recommendations and was super kind and just overall good vibes and people. This is a family owned restaurant and the whole family is there running it which warms my heart- I love seeing awesome restaurants ran by even more awesome families.
