One of the best cookies I had in a long time. Very soft and chewy. I ordered their oatmeal raisin cookie and a chocolate chip one. It was a perfect treat after a long hike. The cabin is very cute with seating both inside and outside. The service is not very fast, I was in line waiting for about 20 mins.
We visited the beautiful mount Lemmon and heard about the face size cookies at the cookie cabin. There was a line out the door to order and I figured this was a great sign the it was worth the wait. After 30 mins in line I finally got to order. It was super expensive I got two cookies and two slices of pizza it cost over 50.00. The cookies were okay but the pizza was literally the worst I have ever had. It was so salty neither of us could eat more than a bit. Don't order the pizza
The price we pay to get out of the heat. To come to Mt Lemmon and meander In Summerhaven. This place serves pizza, cookies, and floats. They have a variety of flavors. And options. Today we chose a strawberry cream float. Very tasty and satisfying. We also had a chocolate chip cookie sundae. So much indulgence. A plate size cookie topped with vanilla ice cream and your choice of toppings. Both of our options were very tasty and satisfying. It's fun to get your tasty dessert then sit on the cool patio and just indulge. Then go for a stroll.
We made the trek to Mount Lemmon (day trip from Tucson) and it was suggested we stop at the Cookie Cabin. I'm not sure what the hype was all about. Cool place and atmosphere? Yep. Friendly staff? Yep. But the cookies? Yes, they are HUGE but we were underwhelmed. We got the white chocolate Macadamia and the Reese's pieces cookies. Both were very dense and dry, and the Reese's cookie was burnt along the edges. I don't think I'd spend $10 for a cookie again. So 2 cookies, 1 glass of milk and a coffee was $34.00. Expensive in my book but the experience wasn't so bad.
For anyone who's lived in Tucson, The Mt Lemmon Cookie Cabin is a tradition. Every time I'm up there, I have to stop and always order the Sampler Cookie. It's massive and meant to be shared with several people and is exactly what it sounds like- a way to sample multiple different cookie offerings at once. The prices are definitely a bit higher because of being on Mt Lemmon and while the cookies are good, they aren't something I would take a trip up the mountain to experience. I also tried the hot chocolate, which was very standard, though they did seem to have expanded their drink menu. It's a quaint place as long as you aren't visiting during busy season (weekends when everyone's trying to escape the heat) and can be a nice little reward after a hike.
This place definitely remains a popular stop when atop Mt. Lemmon. The long, slow moving line shows that for sure. I was pretty disappointed though. Waited 30 minutes in line and got a chocolate chip cookie. It was big for sure and that's great. Just uncooked in the middle. Not soft like you hope for, but just kinda uncooked. They're definitely a staple of the community there and that's great. I just don't see myself waiting in line like that for a disappointment again.
Fun tourist place for pizza and cookies. We got there around 3 and they were out of the sampler cookie which I was really bummed about. Got a few slices of pizza, the Reese's and the Rachel. Rachel was the best. Crunchy cookie and huge. The pizza was ok but nothing to rave about. Definitely a touristy place. Service was quick but waited in line for about it 20 minutes. They take card or cash only. There is very limited seating outside and only a few tables inside. It was nice to be able to have our dog outside with us after our 3 mile walk.
Love going to Mt Lemmon Cookie Cabin. The service is always great and very staff is always friendly, and it's so darn cute. We tried the chili this time and had the cookie sampler so good.
Unfortunately, I set my expectations a little too high for this place. Everything about it was ok. We drove an hour to get here after a long hike in Saguaro National Park, and we were starving. The parking lot is super duper tiny, so we had to park down a ways on the side of the road. The inside of the cabin is cute, but small with a little fire place in the middle and maybe 4 or 5 tables with 2 chairs at each. There was one bathroom too. Luckily the line to order wasn't as long as it looked like it could have been, but we still waited 5-10min. to place our order. Then it took another 15-20 for our pizza to come out. We also ordered the cookie sampler which had to be made fresh and took 30min. (Which they did tell us about and we decided to wait). The pizza was ok. The twisted crust was fun, but it definitely looked better than it tasted. The cookie was also just ok. Everyone working was extremely nice though! I wouldn't drive here again just to eat the food, but I suppose if I was up there for some of reason and other people wanted to eat there, I would probably go.
After a long, hot and then cold pedal up Mt. Lemmon, I needed some calories! Thankfully the Cookie Cabin was open and warm so I popped in. I had a slice of pepperoni pizza which was ok, bit of soggy crust but the taste wasn't bad. Of course I had to try the cookies, so I got oatmeal raisin. It was not a traditional oatmeal raisin cookie, with a smoother, crispier texture but the flavor was spot on. Coulda used more raisins, but it sure hit the spot after a 3 hour climb. The staff were SUPER friendly and willing to chat, and I'd definitely go back if I'm ever on Mt. lemmon again.
We always stop here when we visit Mount Lemmon because they have the best cookies! They're warm, crunchy edges, with soft middles. Topped with ice cream, it's the best dessert on Mount Lemmon! One day, we decided to try their pizzas and they were also very delicious! However, just today at 12 noon, we went for pizza and a cookie. Our pizzas were not hot like they were during our first pizza experience here. They were barely warm. My daughter bit into her pizza and the cheese completely came off in one piece because the cheese was cold. The flavor was there and I love the crust, but it would be great if they made the pizza to order so it's nice and hot or that they keep it really warm somehow. Service is great. The cashier was very friendly. One of the staff members in the kitchen looked like they wanted to be elsewhere and not there.
Love the idea of the cookie cabin. They serve giant cookies that can be easily shared with 3-4 people or maybe more depending on your hunger and sugar craving levels. The have bunch of different flavors and even serve one as a sampler with something like six flavors grouped together and baked as one cookie. The menu also has pizza by the slice and whole pizzas. The cabin operates like a fast food joint. Order at the counter, cookies are basically ready to go, so already baked and maybe reheated? We ordered a chocolate chip cookie and also ordered a 16inch pizza instead of slices because that's really the best way to get a "fresh" pizza. $35.00 for a whole pizza is steep in my opinion. There's no specialty ingredients, just your average cheese and pepperoni. The cookie wasn't overly sweet, which I appreciated! I'm not a fan of their ordering system, I asked if I could pay ahead for my cookie with ice cream and then order it after we finished our pizza and they said no. So basically, our cookie got cold and our ice cream melted while we ate our pizza. Seems unreasonable to me, but they do have a lot of people come through so maybe they just want to keep things moving along. Since it's order at the counter and patrons buss their own tables, I noticed tables were very dirty. The least they can do is either have staff wiping tables down regularly or leave a spray bottle and towels on the counter for patrons to wipe their tables. I had to ask a staff member and even offered to wipe it myself. Their wipe down was not very thorough.

Spent the day hiking around Mt Lemmon and wanted a sweet treat before heading out. There was a big line but it went fairly quick. There are several tables outside with umbrellas to have a bit of shade from the sun or in out case to shield from the big downpour. We ordered the big chocolate chip cookie wit 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream. Big enough to share with several people There are about 6 cookie choices.... all of them sounded great ! The place also sells pizza and it looked really good. Fun stop and a good dessert and enjoy. read more
Very cute little pizzeria known for their giant cookies. At the top of Mount Lemmon, it's not necessarily easy to get to, but it's worth the drive to get out of the heat and have a sweet treat. We didn't get pizza so unfortunately I can't comment on that (although it did smell delicious) but the cookies were good! They tasted like ones you would make at home but they were huge. They have some cool flavors or you can order one that has a section of each kind and they have several toppings you can add for free! read more
Cute place with dog friendly patio. Menu was limited and we had chilli and cornbread. Chili was very good and filling! We also had one of those big cookies fresh out of the oven. However, it got really hard after just 2 hours. Service was friendly but not that good as they forgot our food. It's a mountain town so prices are high. I was not expecting much aside from the experience when I arrived here from the comments I read. However, I was delightfully surprised. Their chili was *delicious*. The cookies were great! My favorite was the white chocolate macadamia and brownie (omg the brownie was sooooo good) followed closely by the oatmeal raisin and chocolate chip. I didn't care for the Rachel or peanut butter. My son had the pepperoni pizza and really liked it. It would be nice if they had cheese for the chili but not a big deal. We did have to wait in line for a bit but it wasn't terrible and once you're at the front you pick up your food. Cute cabin with outdoor seating, definitely recommend! read more

I had heard so much about the cookie cabin and was excited to try it. They have a patio area where dogs are allowed, but they are not allowed inside (which is totally ok and sanitary!) The line was long but moved quickly. I went with a friend and we decided to try their sampler cookie plate since we didn't know what flavor to try. The cookies were ok. They tasted similar to the pilsbury cookie dough you can buy from the store and bake at home. I was surprised that they were drier than I thought they'd be. They weren't bad though. We also got a slice of pizza each. The pizza was ok. It tasted similar to Peter piper pizza. Overall, not sure it lives up to its hype, but it wasn't bad. I definitely had high expectations due to the hype. read more
SOOOOOO wanted to love this place. I've been hearing about it for years. We took our kids there, full hype mode. Waited 20 minutes, finally got a chocolate chip and brownie cookie. The moment of truth is here. We all dig in and that's where the hype train falls off the rails. The chocolate chip cookie was dull. In every way. It was lukewarm. The chips were mostly solid. The actual dough tasted void of flavor; a vague sweetness and that was about it. The texture was dry. I moved on to the brownie cookie hoping for a redemption and didn't find one. Nothing sumptuous, gooey, or rich in either one. It is so very disappointing when you find yourself passing on a cookie the size of your head not because you can't take another bite but because you don't want to. I try to give restaurants the benefit of the doubt but if you're only going to serve two things and charge what you're charging for them you better hit them out of the park, or rather the forest in this case. I gave two stars because maybe the pizza is respectable but the cookies are definitely not. You can get away with that kind of quality with little kids but they have to do better if they want to make me a believer. read more
*C*ookies and pizza, you can't go wrong with that! *O*utside patio seating is spacious and plentiful. *O*utlandishly sized cookies are their forte. *K*ids and adults will like the soft, warm center of their cookies with lightly crisp outer edges. *I*ce cream is available too if you want your cookie a la mode! *E*ating outside in late November was a bit chilly but we had layers on and brought a blanket so all was good. *C*an't decide on what cookie you want? Try the sampler! It's multiple regular sized cookies joined together to form a plate sized cookie. Think of it as the conjoined cookie twins of the dessert world. *A*s for the pizza, it was decent. The $8 "full slice" we had was actually 2 regular slices of pizza. The crust was a bit on the hard side but the tomato sauce, cheese and pepperoni were alright. *B*ring your dog! They are pet friendly on the patio. *I*nside seating is available but limited. *N*o wait or line when we came here but we arrived a little after they opened on Black Friday. CUTE SPOT! I love a good family business! The two employees taking orders were sisters and seemed pretty young, teenager age? They were so nice! I got the cookie sampler which included the current seasonal cookie, which is Pumpkin Nut right now. These aren't the best cookies I've ever had, but they were good and worth a try. They take the cookies out of a warmer once you order them, they aren't sitting around getting cold or stale, they stay nice and warm. I like the gimmick of the cookies being so large they're the size of a plate. If you're coming up to Mount Lemmon, you should definitely check this place out! They also have pizza here, how cool! read more
Expensive cookies, but good. Not great, but good. They are a nice snack if you're up on Mt Lemmon. Happy I tried it once, but I wouldn't make it a priority if I were to come back. I will say their cookies are better than most other cookie shops. Ultimately, spend a couple of hours making your own chocolate chip cookies. They'll be much better. read more

The cookie cabin is an experience that probably wouldn't work anywhere other than where it is but fits perfectly in the tiny Mt. Lemon town it exists within. There will most surely be a line so if it is a cool day, know it is going to be much colder up on Mt. Lemon so bring a jacket. The service is incredibly slow, but the staff is sweet, but takes a comically long amount of time to take each individual order. Deciding (at least in our case) to take each portion of the order and fulfill it before moving on to the next portion. I ordered a cookie, so the cashier, went and got my cookie, then since I wanted ice cream, she took the cookie back and put ice cream on it. Then i ordered a drink and she ran off to get that. I feel like it would have been much more efficient for them to take my entire order and go back to the kitchen one time. To take our party of 3's order took around 5 minutes, and we only ordered Cookies and drinks. While a cute little cabin there is little to no space inside of the cookie cabin for more than a few people. The cookies themselves were ok and expensive but large. Honestly, too large for one person. The cookie cabin is not the reason you should visit Mt. Lemon, but if you are already up there it is a neat stop. TL:DR - Expensive, slow, and average cookies, but the location offers a unique experience you can only get on Mt. Lemon read more

These are big cookies! Great to share. A little on the sweeter side. Not one of the best cookies I have ever had, but a very welcome dessert after a hike. They also offer pizza on their menu, but the only varieties are pepperoni or cheese. Definitely stop by if you're in the area. Super friendly staff. Cute and cozy set up of tables and chairs both indoors and outdoors. read more

I took my first drive up Mt. Lemmon yesterday in the CanAm with my boyfriend and he took me here, to the Cookie Cabin! He said he used to come here as a kid with his family and wanted me to have the same experience. While the food seems a bit on the pricey side you actually recieve a lot of food, especially the giant cookies which take up a whole plate. We each ordered a half slice of pepperoni pizza and shared a chocolate chip cookie. Thankfully we only got one cookie...we couldn't finish it so we brought half home. The cabin is situated back from a road and is surrounded by an outdoor eating area. The location is gorgeous and quiet and serene. I would love to come back one day! read more

Cute little snack shop stop on the mountain and a perfect setting for a pizza and cookie. We had the pepperoni pizza and a brownie. The pizza we good but the star was the brownie for $8 you get a large 9 inch chocolate brownie with white chocolate chips and sprinkles. The brownie was baked perfectly and had a rich chocolate flavor and worth the money. The cabin is a cute little shop and the staff are great so please consider supporting this local business. read more

This is a must for anyone visiting us in Tucson. We always have to go up Mt Lemmon to show the diversity of our beautiful area. After a hike, this is a great place to stop for a treat before heading back down the mountain. Last time we took someone there, they got the sampler cookie, which is 7 cookies made into one. It gave them a taste of all of them and they could pick a favorite. I got the white chocolate macadamia, always a favorite for me. The cookies are humongous and just slightly underbaked, so they are warm and yummy! read more
It's a no for me dawg. Hmmm the "cabin" itself is cute, I like that they have an upstairs however it was closed when I visited. I went around 2pm and they close at 5pm... they had most cookies not available so my guest and I decided to get the original chocolate chip with vanilla ice cream. They said it would have take 20min or more for a different type of cookie. I did not want to wait that long. Rock hard. Bland. And the owner is pushy... pushy for me to leave a tip along with telling me I should buy 2 stickers since it was cheaper. I didn't want two of the same sticker, so no. I gave two stars because it was pretty, along with dog friendly out front. Other than that no. Try it once , but I'm sure if it's the same taste as I had you'll skip it next time. read more

The kids love this place! All of their cookies are the size of a plate and their hot chocolate pairs well with any cookie. If you visit Mt. Lemmon on a cold day, the cookie cabin is the place to be after playing in the snow. The food is mediocre as well as their cookies, but the experience and service are great. Great outdoor seating with live music on a Sunday! The line was at least 15 minutes long, but it was worth it. We got a white chocolate macadamia nut cookie with ice cream. One serving of ice cream is 3 scoops. Very sweet, but great after a long hike. They also offer pizza by the slice and whole pies, we will have to try those next time. read more

Our adult kids and other out-of-state visitors like to stop here for the giant cookies. They're served on paper plates and fill them. As far as cookies go, they taste fine but are expensive. In the winter, it's nice to sit inside by the fireplace. The "cabin" has a bit of a mountain lodge feel. In the summer, there is seating on the deck and in front/below the entry. It's much more peaceful in the winter, though we sometimes have made the drive up to enjoy the snow and found the Cookie Cabin closed. In the summer, this place can get crazy. Some people make this their lunch stop since they serve pizza. There are only two other options in Summerhaven, so the line sometimes goes out the door and to the patio below. In our opinion, unless you're staying on the mountain for the rest of the day, you're better off eating when you get back to Tucson. read more

Got a sampler with 6 different flavors: chocolate chip, white chocolate macadamia, Rachel (oats, coconut, butterscotch), oatmeal raisin, brownie, and peanut butter. They're not the best or freshest cookies, but the combination of all 6 different flavors? With vanilla ice cream on top? Man, it tasted like delight in my mouth. The brownie was positioned right in the middle of the sampler, which must've been done on purpose because the ice cream was right on top in the middle of the sampler too; the cold refreshing ice cream complemented with the soft rich brownie so well. I ate the ice cream with other cookies too, but the side-by-side combination between the ice cream and brownie cookie was highly visually appealing and also tasted so so good. All the cookies were good, and the oatmeal raisin was better than I expected, as I'm not a fan of that flavor. However, I wasn't too impressed with the Rachel cookie (couldn't taste the individual ingredients well), and the texture was a bit too hard compared to the other cookies. A satisfying and satiating Mt Lemmon experience--as long as you get the sampler with a scoop of ice cream! read more

The drive was gorgeous! The weather was perfect and the wait was not bad at all! Fast friendly service and it's very clean inside the cookie cabin. Our fam stuck with the original choc chip with two scoops of ice cream -it really could've used three scoops because the cookie size is very generous. Deff will be back soon! read more
