Greasiest, most bland and soft onion rings ever
    Mike S.

This place had some pretty good stuff about it over all to me. Service was alright. Prices were high, but not too bad for the area. I had the southwest burger. It was pretty good. My friemd had the reuben ans that was definitely good. What really sucked though was the onion rings. Greasy, bland and not crispy. Those managed to leave me with a bit of a queeze feeling. I can see returning to this place possibly, but definitely staying away from the onion rings.

Loved the experience! We had a veg sandwich, French dip & strudel. All very good ...............

Stopped here for lunch and lucked out with a coveted table on the patio--definitely the best place to dine in the summer, as you can see. Service was quick and friendly. You order and pay at the counter, then they bring the food to your table and clear everything when you're done. Super efficient! Just a heads-up: no saving tables--you order first, then grab a seat. I went with the Bob's Burger, which came with lettuce, tomato, onion, green chile, and was supposed to include bacon--sadly, mine didn't. I didn't notice until later. The burger had good flavor, but it came with no condiments and was a bit dry, even after adding mustard and ketchup. I had asked for grilled onions, which it had, but oddly they were cold. On the bright side, I splurged on a crisp root beer instead of my usual water--and it totally hit the spot. We shared a side of onion rings, which were excellent--crispy, golden, and a generous portion for just $4. My husband ordered the Reuben with an Arnold Palmer and really enjoyed it. The sandwich looked fantastic and was generously packed with beef. Overall, it was a great lunch--solid portions, reasonable prices (especially for a resort area), and a lovely outdoor setting.

Wow! Did not expect to have my mind blown at mt Lemmon Sawmill Restaurant but that's what happened ! My vegan lionsmane steak with chimchurri & carrot puree was a HIT ! Sooooooo yummyyyyy . Strawberry rhubarb margarita with a gold sugar rim
    Jesse T.

We stayed at the Mount Lemmon over the weekend and stopped by for an early dinner. The strawberry rhubarb margarita was so delicious and a new take (and the fruit syrup was made in house by the chef). The bartender (Cecilia, I believe) was attentive, funny, and really made it a great visit. I'm not sure how she managed making so many perfect cocktails and drinks AND running food. She was the definition of grace under fire! My partner had a burger and fries, and I had the prickly pear bbq pulled pork fries. The amount of food for my "appetizer" was enormous! The generous portion of pork was incredibly tender and flavorful. They close early in the off season, like our visit in April, so we needed to be done by 5pm. The outside was full of bikers and cyclists and tourists, with more families inside at booths and tables. Whoever was in charge of the music played a nice mix of dreamy, slower country that fit just right. It's clear that the chef has talent and a personal passion from what's offered on the seasonal menu. They had an espresso rubbed grass fed skirt steak, a light caviar and creme fraiche tart, roasted bone marrow, seared lion's mane mushroom and polenta, and lots more. There are also everyday options for all tastes. This is the most interesting place to eat up the mountain!

    Rueben sandwich and house salad
    Joy S.

We had a fairly large group and the staff handled our order efficiently. We ordered at the counter and they gave us numbers to bring our food out to us as it was ready. I ordered the Rueben sandwich and asked for a few changes to meet my dietary needs. They were happy to accommodate those. The food came out in a decent amount of time and everyone got theirs within a few minutes of each other. My sandwich was good, with lots of meat. The meat was a tad dry, but still good. The salad was basically lettuce with some pickled red onions and lots of croutons. The staff did a good job of removing plates as people finished. The restaurant had kind of a rustic look, like you'd expect to see in a mountain lodge. It's a bit on the high priced side.

Went a second time and tried the watermelon radish salad on mint sprouts- very tasty. Beautiful presentation too for the grilled Caesar salad, but chicken was very dry.

A great day to explore and have lunch. We sat on the patio. It's very rustic and it was a great day. You order and they bring it out. I had chicken finger and fries and yummy. The ranch is premade it's ehhh. The bbq sauce is good.

Wild Mushroom with Pumpkin Coconut Purée
    Mandy T.

It seems like they've recently revamped their menu to include more upscale options. My sister had the burger and thought it was just okay, which aligns with many other reviews. I'd recommend skipping the burger and trying their more unique offerings instead. The Salmon BLT (served warm) was honestly one of the best sandwiches I've ever had. The Henny wings were also incredible--probably the best wings I've tasted. I wasn't a fan of the Wild Mushroom with Pumpkin Coconut Purée, but my boyfriend enjoyed it. I wish I had noticed the Fall drink specials earlier. Instead, I tried the Mt. Lemmon Mule, which was just okay, and I didn't really enjoy the Loma Linda Rita.

    deep fried asparagus
    Kurt P.

Lunch for 4 last week, but eaten here many times. Ambiance is always nice, hard to beat the view from the patio. Surprisingly good bar service. Menu is eclectic, but mostly sandwiches. We tried the deep fried asparagus as an appetizer which was actually pretty good, but the breading was a bit heavy. I had the Bob's burger - the toppings were very good but the patty was pretty dry. My wife had the beet salad which was beautifully presented but could have used some fresh herbs or something to jazz up the flavor of the beets a bit. This is an "order at the counter" place, and our food came out in a reasonable period of time give the crush of cyclists that arrived before we did. Overall the service here is decent considering how hard it must be find someone a 45 minute drive from Tucson! This is still the best place in Summerhaven for lunch - it has it's issues, but better than all the alternatives.

I arrived maybe 10-15 minutes before closing and was informed that the dining room was closed so food had to be to-go which was what I had intended anyway (there were about 3-4 tables of people still eating in there). The dining room was decent enough, it felt like a proper mountain lodge. Cold outside, but beautiful scenery of the mountain town from the patio seating area. The food was bland unfortunately, my fries looked soggy and dull as can be seen from the photo but it was actually crisp and decent. The burger was disappointing though, it was dry and overcooked but I still ate it all anyway. I'll try something different from the menu next time and see about the dine-in experience.

    Ruben and side salad
    De H.

My Ruben was good. Others enjoyed their burger, chicken strips and chicken Cesar salad. The service was friendly and quick. The restaurant was clean and inviting. Be sure to checkout their website for full menu items as other places have out of date menu for them.

Our sever was prompt and very attentive. We order a zero proof drink (the Sunset on Sentinel) and the NA beer they had available. We skipped right to the main course since we had a quick turnaround. I went with the beef short rib ravioli and my husband had the fish and chips. We enjoyed some complimentary bread and oil as a little app before dinner came out. The ravioli was so flavorful (maybe a tiny bit too much cream sauce on the plate) - it was delicious. The fish came out crispy and perfectly battered, and flaky and moist inside. We would definitely come back next time we're in town and spend a little more time enjoying a full meal. We had a great experience.

Suffice to say she absolutely raved - placing it on par with many of the Michelin Bib Gourmand restaurants she has sampled back east. And, we agreed, when Michelin publishes its first-ever SouthWest U.S. edition later this year (2026) I recognize getting a star is a mighty fete but if Tito/Pep does not at least make its S.W. Bib list I will know the fix is in. We started with the Queso Fundido ($13) - with chewy cheese, sauteed mushrooms, and beef chorizo it was a perfect blend of meaty/savory/fatty. We also ordered the Grilled Octopus ($17). What a surprise this was, the crunchy roasted pepper flakes and unusually soft grilled octopus it kicked the pants off of "calamari-style." We inquired and the way they remove the typical rubberiness is by poaching the octopus tentacles for 5(!) hours before grilling. You Go chef Martinez! For our entree we opted for the day's special: deep fried whole Red Snapper for two ($85)... as did about a half-dozen other tables in this intimate 20-tabled venue. See pics as a written description is inadequate. The crisp was excellent and the tender moist fish just beneath, exquisite. The roasted jalapenos were other worldly - somehow only mild heat and with a subtle sweet/acid presence... totally and entirely edible. As fantastic as the vinegar slaw was atop our self-made fish tacos, the tomatillo puree was ridiculous - so fresh and not sour that its scent was nearly as strong as its flavor. We asked again, how?! and were told they first cook the tomatillos for 3 hours. Folks, the effort involved to present this kind of meal would be nearly impossible to do at home for even double the cost. We concluded with the ganache dessert ($12). While so richly decadent it was possibly too rich, only by virtue of its size... it needs to be shared! We were deeply torn over that or the olive oil cake and will opt for the latter... next year, Lol. For drinks we ordered two glasses of their "red blend" (really good for a simple blend) and then the Pie Allen after dinner cocktail ($13) - an interesting combination of prickly pear liquor and port. The staff were amazing - not just in timely attentiveness (a minimum requirement at this level) but especially in terms of being able to field our deep curiosities about several of the dishes. Due to our "layers" of ordering we stayed an easy 2+ hours and were never rushed. Parking will get tight at peak times but everyone will be accommodated. Pre-tip we were at $165 - a special occasion outing for sure but, we both agreed, an (almost) bargain. At this level of quality and degree of effort in Chicago or Miami (places she recently lived) would be closer to $250 for two. Small note: three years ago this began, now it's the norm - restaurants are calculating the tip based upon a total that's After the tax has been added. It's a minor but, nonetheless, unconsented-to, inflation of the tip. Just an fyi :)

We have been waiting for over a year to try this exquisite gem of a restaurant in the Bisbee hamlet…read moreof Warren. Either it was closed, or our schedules didn't work. It was worth the wait, and our only regret is that we hadn't prioritized trying it sooner. Everything was magical, from the laid-back, hippie atmosphere of the street it resides on to the experience once inside the establishment. What makes this even more notable, and further enhances the experience, is the lack of similar dining establishments in deep southern Arizona. One can find fine dining in Tucson, over an hour away and far too far for a simple evening out. That's not to say there aren't decent or good restaurants in Cochise County. However, none excel in all aspects of an evening out experience, from greeting to service to the quality of the meal. We had a reservation and were seated immediately at the only table open in the restaurant. That is a plus for their table management. Within two minutes, our waiter appeared with water and bread. Expressing our joy at this proper start to the meal is impossible. In eight years of living in southern Arizona, we have often observed management and wait staff at other establishments taking five minutes or more to arrive at the table. That delay typically foreshadows a lack of basic service that follows. The bread basket featured freshly baked country bread, accompanied by a small plastic ramekin of butter. We would have enjoyed the butter served more elegantly, but that is a minor matter. The bread was excellent. We had heard that the restaurant's appetizers are a highlight and decided to try three: a fresh bacon, apple, arugula, and beet salad, Mussels Meuniere (which were specials), and Arancini. The salad was beautifully composed with just the right amount of dressing to highlight the flavors of the ingredients. The Arancini may have been the best I have ever had. Perfectly fried balls of tender risotto set in a delicious tomato sauce were an unexpected treat. The mussels, unfortunately, were the low point of the meal. Overcooked and rubbery mussels in a tepid sauce that lacked depth and flavor were a major disappointment. Still, that was the only disappointment of the evening and didn't detract from the rest of the meal. We chose two specials for our main course. My wife selected the Salmon topped with a deconstructed Clams Casino. I opted for chicken cutlets topped with eggplant and a dollop of pesto, served in a rich Roman mushroom tomato sauce. The Salmon was incredible. Perfectly cooked and nestled on a plate expertly nappeed with a sublime sauce, it alone excited the palate. But when topped with a well-made clam casino mixture, the dish became an epicurean delight. The chicken was masterfully prepared and was highlighted by the silky-textured eggplant that topped it. The Roman mushroom tomato sauce was well made, my only minor comment being that a different choice of mushrooms might have taken the dish to another level. That said, I would order it again, and probably will if it's on the menu when we return. The dessert selection had me wishing for a larger stomach. Every item on the menu and the specials board looked enticing. We settled on a Basque Cheese cake with blackberries and bananas. We could not have asked for a finer way to end the evening. Perfectly cooked, silky cheesecake in a subtle white sauce and topped with dollops of fresh whipped cream provided just the right amount of sweet and tart to end the meal. For our entrées, my husband ordered the duck and could not stop raving about it. It was perfectly cooked, rich, and full of flavor. I had the Chilean sea bass, and I'm still thinking about it. It was cooked to absolute perfection. It was tender, buttery, and it truly melted in my mouth. As if that wasn't enough, it was paired with prawns and lobster ravioli... just beyond delicious. Okay, I also have to mention the salad. The salad was fresh and amazing, and just when we thought it couldn't get any better, we were served a lime palate cleanser before our entrée. Such a thoughtful and elevated touch. We were honestly blown away. Our server was incredibly kind, welcoming, and attentive.
