Oh the view and the drive up are amazing, and a nice find for a drink and a bite at the top! Service was so friendly. Food was good, lots of homemade pie options

Amazing cozy breakfast!! We got the egg and meat breakfast plates and everything was delicious especially the hashbrowns! They give you plenty of jelly and Dijon mustard for the toast and sausage or brats. We also got personal pies and those were amazing. You can get the pies with whipped cream or ice cream if you'd like. The atmosphere was perfect. Every seat has a view of the beautiful mountains, and the service was so nice! You also get 50% off vouchers for the ski lift just by eating here. I would definitely come back!

Four-stars for really top-notch service. The food? It's A-ok. We dined there for breakfast and it was your average diner type of meal. We were seated right away as it was a quiet morning. Our server, Michael was so nice and super attentive. I love the giant fireplace! It really makes the space so cozy. For breakfast we ordered the two egg breakfast with hashbrowns and toast, and the kids waffle for my daughter. Breakfast was simple, nothing out of the ordinary, but we were satisfied. They seem to be known for their pie, so maybe we'll return sometime to try one. They offer a discount for the ski lift with breakfast so we took them up on that. I don't recall what the exact discount was. But we were planning on going up anyway so it was a pleasant surprise.

Super great service, and food was awesome. I would come again!the service was great, and the food was good. They also had mimosas and this hot wine drink that my husband got. Would come back again :)

A welcoming spot with hearty meals, great drinks, and a relaxed, rustic vibe. Service is friendly and the atmosphere is cozy--just a few menu items could use a little extra flair.

Beautiful large fireplace with dining seating around it.

We took drive up to Ski Valley to get a glimpse of the white stuff and stopped by here for lunch. They accommodated our need to be seated away from lots of people. Our table had a great view. I chose the Turkey Run sandwich and subbed a side salad with ranch. My husband got the George Gorge salad and subbed a bowl of chili for his side. My sandwich was tasty and my husband enjoyed his as well. The side salad was quite small for the additional $4 charge. The chili had a little kick to it and it was good. We had our small dog with us, but they only allow service dogs inside.

Delicious restaurant with great views! We came on a weekday, and the wait was still pretty long...but for good reason - the food is amazing! We were seated at a small table and given menus. I ordered half of George's Gorg (a turkey Reuben). After the first bite, I regretted not getting the whole sandwich. It was so good! The chili was tasty too, but the sandwich definitely stole the show. Speaking of stealing the show, we were full but still ordered dessert. We settled on a mixed fruit cobbler, which was fresh out of the oven. It was amazing & beautifully made! I highly recommend the Iron Door if you're in the area.

Great (and the only spot) right next to the Ski Valley lift station. Due to its limited seating capacity it can get pretty packed during skiing season. Luckily for us, when we were there there was not much snow and very few skiers/tourists. The ambiance has an old charm to it and they have lots of old stuff on display such as a mechanic teller. They also has a huge fireplace in the middle with dining tables surrounding it. Must be pretty cozy when the fire is lit. Food here is decent too. We ordered the "famous" hot chili soup, Claim Jumper (roast beef with Swiss cheese on French bun) , Gobbler (turkey with bean stouts and cranberry sauce, cream cheese on rye bread). I like both. Depends on if you are hungry (order Claim Jumper), or want some refreshing sandwiches that are not too heavy (order Gobbler). Service was excellent too. Mostly senior servers and they are very attentive to customers. Keep in mind they close at 4:30pm (kind only early but understandably it's on top of the Mt Lemmon)!

Classic breakfast and German eats. The personal size pies are amazing same with their breakfasts. It's in a super cozy cabin with a fireplace at the center and outdoor seating with beautiful views of the mountain. Staff is always friendly.

BBQ Chicken salad and the smaller sized chili

The restaurant looks bigger from the outside than it feels on the inside, and that's not a bad thing. The dining area is cozy, especially when they have a fire blazing in the big fireplace. There's a good selection of beer and wine, and of course on the reverse side of the table tent is the pie listing. Their pies are awesome. Be sure to save room for some pie. The chili and cornbread is very good. The topping on the cornbread involves melted brown sugar. The chili is a little spicy but fairly tame for Tucson spicy. It's very good. I had the BBQ chicken salad with an extra side of 1000 Islands dressing. It was an excellent choice and highly recommended. The service was a little off though I couldn't quite put my finger on why. The server was very nice and he was certainly attentive, but there was a slight awkwardness that made it feel a little awkward. Maybe it was the placement of the tables and he had to stand a little further away or something. Overall I enjoy this location and I look forward to going back again.

Great homemade food with mountain cabin vibes! I got the bbq chicken sandwich and it was super tender and tasty, but desperately needed salt (I never am one to add salt but had to). The crumble pie was one of the better pies I've ever had, so that's worth it! I thought their chili was a tad over salted and too much cumin for my preference. Everyone seemed to like their meal and I'd come back if we visited Tucson again!

The food is delicious here and there is something for everyone. We all enjoyed our meals. The view from our table was so nice! Our waiter was very attentive so the service was exceptional. Breakfast is only served on the weekend so get here early if you want to try any specials, as they are a limited quantity.

Mountain special

Beautiful! Got a seat by the fireplace looking out from the window, the mountain special was great as was the cider. Food with a view is always the best.

Parking is in the back and seemed pretty crowded even though I visited during an "off" time -- around 2pm -- for lunch. Still, I eventually found a spot and didn't have to walk too far. The inside of the shop is nothing fancy: order at the window and pick up when your name is called. There are a few 2-person tables inside by the order window and some outdoor tables. There may be some tables in the front, but I didn't make it up there. I had the full-szed Badger as it comes standard (Steak, Pepper Jack, Grilled Onion, Grilled Mushroom, Grilled Pepper, Grilled Jalapeño, Lettuce, Pickles, Chipotle Ranch, Garlic Spread) on Ciabatta bread. Even though I thought I was hungry, it was a LOT of sandwich and I could have been fine with the half. The place was empty save for two other people waiting on orders and they departed quickly upon receiving their sandwiches. The woman at the counter was friendly and helpful while I decided what I wanted to order and offered some suggestions. I sat at one of the small tables and enjoyed my hot, fresh sandwich: the sandwich was both temperature hot and spicy hot, thanks to the really nice jalapeños! I'l definitely come back!

Folks behind the counter are very friendly. The only thing I noticed is they seem to struggle with a really clunky point of sale system. There were many looks and gasps of bewilderment from the two folks trying to ring up orders. This significantly slowed down the long line. They have weird policies around adding chicken to the Bobbi salad. It literally makes no sense to charge $3.50 to add chicken to that salad when it costs $2.99 to add it to any other salad. It's the same amount of chicken, according to the folks behind the counter, but they have to do what the clunky point of sale system tells them to do. Otherwise the food is good and it's a decent spot to grab a note to eat. I recommend the bullrider wrap. Don't add chicken to your Bobbi salad. Mayhem.

I'm not sure how many restaurants are nearby but since we knew the Oracle Patio Cafe was closed, we had to find something else! Side note, you can zip line here...not at the restaurant but attached or next to it. Seems like there is also a camp ground and hiking and off-roading all nearby or a part of the land...basically, what I'm trying to say is this seems like an all-in-one outdoor adventure spot that I'm sure I'm not explaining well, and a lot of people already come here for. Now, for the restaurant: they have a very simple menu and some specials. You pick up a menu/order form, mark off what you want, write your name, and bring it to the cashier. You pay, get a buzzer, and then wait. They have a few family style tables inside, as well as some novelty shopping. They have a ton more seating outside. I got their signature Adventure Burger which means the chef makes the burger and you're surprised. I LOVED this! My burger had avocado, grilled mushrooms, cheese, sauce, etc. I'm not even sure everything exactly, but it doesn't matter because it was delicious! Their fries were also really tasty! My daughter got their chicken fingers which had the best, seasoned skin on it. Lastly, right outside the restaurant they have "panning for gold" - FREE! My daughter was so excited to do this and even more elated when she found "REAL" gold ;) I really appreciated that they offered this and for free. It seems rare these days you stumble upon things like this.

When you walk in it's a bit different as it's really about the zipline adventure with a burger on the side. You order off of the paper menus that list everything they offer. We got a burger to split with all the usual things LTPO. It was a hand formed burger, not pre made, and was cooked perfectly, well seasoned and just great. And of you feel froggy you can even pan for gold outside the building. All in all it was a good place and I'm glad we took the time to drive up here. it won't be our last.

I went with low expectations and was pleasantly surprised that the food is somewhat improved. The customer service and the staff were all wonderful, welcoming and attentive, so my rating factors in the service. I ordered the classic burger, the grilled cheese on barrio bread for my daughter, and my husband ordered the braised beef with polenta from the chef's special menu. The food was all a-ok, my only suggestion would be to change the fries. They serve the battered type of french fry that I'm just not a huge fan of. If you haven't been before, do note that it is order at the counter. Grab napkins, disposable forks/knives, condiments etc. If you happen to order from the chefs menu special, you get a linen napkin and real silverware. We found that was funny but I guess they are trying to create a more elevated experience with their chef specials.
