We enjoyed some good ice cream after dinner at this screamery ice cream place. I got the cherry chocolate chip ice cream in medium size. It had good cherry flavor, a good amount of chocolate chips, and it was perfectly creamy. They let you taste test the ice cream before you buy it. The interior has a picture of a cow in it. :) read more

Screamery Ice Cream - Cherry Chocolate Chip (medium size) - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

a pretty popping ice cream place downtown, there are a ton of flavors and ice cream formats. we tried the Blueberry Cheesecake, Sweet Cream Honey Comb, Munchies, and they were pretty good and tasted like what they were described as. I wish the ice cream was creamier too. the small cups were $4.50 and were pretty small but this is pretty standard compared to other shops which have bigger but more expensive small scoops read more

I love being an adult because I can have ice cream for dinner and no one can stop me. We were scrolling through Yelp looking for new things to try and we stumbled upon ice cream flights. After we saw that, we hopped in the car to Screamery. This is located in a busy part of downtown so parking may be a pain but don't let that stop you from visiting. They have a huge election of ice cream which range from the classics to more adventurous flavors. The flight gives you the option to pick 6 different flavors. Each one I had was fantastic. The flight is a little on the pricey side but the portion is huge. My friend I got our own flight but we could have easily split one. Screamery is fantastic and it should be on your list while visiting Tucson read more

Since we had finished with a lite bite on Congress St., my daughter decided for us to grab something sweet to wrap up our Saturday evening. Stuck in the middle of Congress Street's loud and busy strip, is Screamery. At first glance, these folks try to have flavor combos like my all-time fave Salt & Straw and that's...nice. My kid and I gave in after trying to figure out their hard-to-read, bunched up flavor combos on their super large wall-mounted menu. I went basic with 2 chocolate scoops+1 strawberry sc. Banana Split with some of the works- somehow, they don't add a cherry on top. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. My daughter went for a flight. The ice cream here felt gritty and lacked creaminess. So much so, I ate the entire banana, whip and nuts on mine and left the rest behind. One of my kid's flavors was a triple chocolate that tasted nothing like it and tasted more like vanilla ice cream doused in brown syrup. Plus some of her flavors had a freezer burn taste. But listen, service was great and price was too. read more

A flight from The Screamery is the best way to enjoy ice cream. Why try one flavor when you can try six? Whatever you do, be sure to include the honeycomb ice cream. It'll delight your taste buds. read more

Seating inside and outside front patio on a busy street. Lots of flavor options and if you aren't sure, get a flight which includes six flavors and about the cost of two small scoops. The guy behind the counter was friendly and courteous. I saw a family with a dog cone in and the guy behind the counter have a complimentary pup scoop for the dog. Such a kind thing to do. They allow samples as well. I got the peanut butter pretzel and it was creamy and had bits of pretzel to complement the sweetness. Definitely recommend this place and will be back. read more

The ice cream was good and reasonably priced. But in this day and age, how do you only have one dairy free option???

Daughter-in-law brought us here after playing at the Children's Museum. Close walking distance from the museum and what a great way to end a morning of fun! One of the best things they offer is an ice cream flight...yup, just think drink flights where you get several different options to try. So here you get to choose six different kinds of ice cream. They make their ice cream in-house and we learned that we actually have a store close to where we live in the Phoenix area so we are excited to find that shop and visit as well. We ordered the following flavors for our flight: Strawberry--creamy with small chunks of fresh strawberries. Sweet cream with honeycomb--we fell in love with this one! So creamy with bits of honeycomb throughout it giving the sweet cream bits of crunchy honey. Rocky Road--creamy chocolate ice cream mixed with bits of marshmallows and nuts. Banana cream pie--another big hit with smooth, creamy banana ice cream with bits of banana and graham crust mixed in. Chocolate chip mint--we loved this one too. No fake green color added, just wonderfully flavored sweet cream ice cream with mint flavoring and chips mixed in. Dairy free fudge cycle with oat milk--This was decadent, sweet, and overall really good and clean tasting. Dark fudgy taste. What a great, fun place! They have a fenced in area out front that you can sit at (assume it's dog friendly) and watch the cars and people pass by. The ice cream is small batch and the best! read more

We love the Screamery! This location is a great stop on a night out. They have good rotating options, and cowboy cookie is always one of our selections. read more

I love ice cream with huge pieces of mix-ins and Screamery definitely has all the chunky mix-ins for lots of texture and flavor! I decided to get a Single scoop ($5.75) of Coffee Toffee and Triple Play and I loved the huge pieces of chocolate dipped butter toffee in the Coffee Toffee as well as the big pieces of brownies in the Triple Play. The ice cream itself is a bit more mild in flavor, but the large mix-ins definitely make up for it. The individual helping us get our ice cream wasn't very friendly and parking can be a bit difficult as it's street parking only, but other than that, I enjoyed the ice cream overall. read more

Mmmmm there are very few things better than finding a solid icecream spot in a new city that I'm exploring. Service was great from Niko! Great ice cream shop with a great variety of flavors ranging from traditional chocolate and vanilla to bacon bourbon and sweet cream honeycomb. Service is friendly and fast, and they kept the tables clean. There is a cute small outdoor seating area as well as seating inside. The ice cream was delicious - sweet but not sugary. The sweet cream honeycomb was amazing - bits of actual honeycomb against the ice cream was chef's kiss. The sweet Sonoran had bits of toffee, another great combination of smooth ice cream and crunchy. The peppermint has flecks of dark chocolate that paired well with the fresh peppermint. Perfect after a day of hiking and sun. read more

Easily the best spot for dessert on Congress, and the best ice cream I've had in Tucson! What I love: Excellent variety of flavors, with a few fruity blends, several chocolatey delights, and all sorts of caramel. My absolute favorite is the Sweet Cream Honeycomb (in a cake cone!), but I also love the Triple Play (chocolate with chocolate chunks and brownies) or the Peppermint Bark. Prices are excellent, and there's a cute little patio outside. You have to check this out! read more

Amazing ice cream to try if you downtown Tucson area. Different variety to try new flavors. Customer service was good. zero stars. Have you ever been charged an additional amount just to use a GIFT CARD? The prices are outrageous the ice cream is better at Baskin Robins and the service is unfriendly. I would say walk in and look at the chalk board very carefully if you want a cone b y the way that is another charge. My advice is walk back out. This place is CRAZY !!! read more

Great, fresh homemade ice cream! Wide variety of flavors, and all natural. Reasonably priced for fresh homemade ice cream.

Amazingly tasty and oerfectly sweet icecreams. I absolutely love the Sweet Cream HoneyComb icecream. It's my favorite to get there, I always try to take my nieces there when I get a chance to babysit- It's auntie's little treat :) I adore the ambiance as well, very cute with the cow aesthetic and with the barnyard accent to it all. The service is always amazing there, every employee i've met and talked to is insanely kind and always giving the girls an extra heavy "taster" spoon of any flavor they want to taste- which makes me want to support their business even more. I love this place, I would give it a million stars if I could! read more

My favorite local ice cream place! Tried the flight for the first time and between 2 of us we couldn't finish it. Loved all the flavors-cookies and cream, cowboy cookie, sweet Sonoran dessert, honeycomb, triple play, and cookie dough. They don't skimp on the mix ins. The 2 young people working were so friendly and professional. They were pretty busy for a Thursday night. Indoor and outdoor seating here. read more

We brought the family here for dessert night and found some really yummy ice cream flavors! The person in front of us had an ice cream flight but we got a scoop of ice cream each. Staff was friendly and the inside was super busy. There's some small seating both inside and outside. It's a tad bit cold inside, even for an ice cream place. Really interesting flavors! Would recommend! Located in downtown, so you need to find on street parking if you drive here. read more

While not every flavor here was my favorite, I am extremely particular about mint-chocolate chip, and this is a rare place to do it perfectly. Mmmm we stopped in after a jot weekend of camping and hiking Saguaro National Park. The shop had just opened up on a Saturday and was quiet. I ordered the sweet cream honeycomb ice cream im a waffle cone. It was delicious! Although my waffle cone had just been made and my ice cream melted really fast. The only reason I'm knocking the stars is because the gal working didn't understand cross contamination and nut allergies. I asked for a fresh scoop and she just shook the scoop in the already contaminated water bin. Luckily no reactions. read more

The place is really clean despite having humans eating dripping ice cream. lol. It was busy but yet they only had one person behind the counter. She was rocking the scoops so not much of a wait time. I liked what I got but I wish they had more dairy free options as there was only two. Other than that it smelled yummy inside which drew me in when I was walking by and someone opened the door. It smacked me in my nose. Ha. Grab a scoop, or three. read more

ICE CREAM FLIGHTS!! I knew this concept is starting to become more popular, however this was my first time actually getting to experience it. Tip: do not get one whole flight for yourself....rookie mistake. It is the equivalent of two full-size cups and you will likely not be able to finish it all! We got to choose 6 different flavors, and it was so hard to choose... they had a lot of fun seasonal options, like peppermint, or classics like sorbet and cookies and cream. The ice cream is really great, too! If you're not looking to do a flight or a regular scoop of ice cream, they also have milkshakes, sundaes and even ice cream nachos! Someone even walked by as we were eating our flights near the window, and stopped in to get one because of it! read more

I was happy to discover a new place for ice cream especially when it's as good as this place has. It's not good for the diet though as once you start eating it you don't want to stop. They make their ice cream from scratch and have some very creative sounding (and tasting) flavors. Good idea as makes you want to keep coming back to try more. I got a pint of the prickly lemon which had the tartness of lemon paired with the sweetness of prickly pear. The other flavor I got was blueberry cheesecake. Both were very creamy and tasted great. Definitely worth the trip to get it! read more

There's a lot of choices for frozen treats in the Tucson area. We were dropping off our daughter for school and stayed for a few days. The Screamery was rated highly on Yelp so we stopped here. We each had 2 singles at $4.95 each. The very helpful and nice employee was able to give us 2 smaller scoops in it so we could try different flavors. I had the Whiskey Way (?) and Rough at Sea. My wife had the Coffee Toffee and Rough at Sea. While we were there a local news reporter and camera person came by and did a brief interview of the employee. I believe the topic was the outdoor seating options and effectiveness during Covid. We really loved our choices and highly recommend the Screamery. There were some very interesting flavor options so it was hard to choose. So glad we were able to get the 2 smaller scoops option. Give this place a try, you won't be sorry. read more

The employee was very nice, that's not the issue! The sizes are ridiculous small in my eyes. I usually opt for a small or medium, but here I got a large as it was so small! Nobody does Rough at Sea caramel pecan ice cream like the screamery. Always satisfies my cravings.

Stopped here after El Charro for some ice cream. Went with one scoop of Ooey Gooey Buttercake. It was tasty! Tons of pieces of chewy butter cake all throughout. Couple bites were a little bit "icy", but it was a fat scoop of ice cream for the price, and service was great! Would definitely come back if I was downtown and wanted something sweet. read more

The Screamery is SUCH a treat! It's Arizona-local, scratch-made ice cream, with a plethora of fun flavors that can be served either as a traditional scoop or in fun creations like "ice cream nachos" (ice cream over waffle-cone chips). They also offer ice cream flights, in case you're interested in trying six different flavors. The flavors themselves are really inventive and so, so delicious. Some incorporate ingredients like honeycomb, bourbon, or even bacon. Their offerings are sure to be a hit regardless of whether you like the more traditional flavors or go for the more interesting, unique choices. read more

We came here for some frozen sugar after a meh-ish meal at El Charro, which is close by. Tables were dirty and the place has a very clinically uninspired decor--but the ice cream is good. The sweet cream honeycomb flavor is delicious--the chewy crunch contrasts wonderfully against the creaminess. Our daughter ordered triple play (a chocolate bomb) in a cone, and again, the flavor and texture was spot on. You can tell some care and thought goes into this ice cream. Butter pecan is the usual, and honestly we got another couple flavors that we can't even remember. What we *do* remember is that portions are pretty small for what you're paying--like, there is no nice rounded dome or anything. Anyway, it's legit good ice cream but nothing you need to go out of your way for. 3.5 stars, rounding down. read more

Screamery Ice Cream - Sweet Cream Honeycomb Ice Cream I think... - Ice Cream & Frozen Yogurt Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

I've been to all 3 Screamery shops, this one the last visited. I like their ice cream; it's different and flavors are pretty good. At least it is at the Houghton and Speedway locations. I got the pumpkin spice this time and while I really liked it, I did find it odd that I was left with a weird coating at the top of my mouth. Have never had that with their ice creams before. The reason I gave this location only one star is because the vibe of one of the employees was seriously off-putting. I went in at around 5 pm on a Monday, so yeah, business was a little dead. Weird thing is that it wasn't brightly lit in there--it was kinda dark. The two girls manning the store at the time must've been bored because they came out almost immediately. First girl who helped serve me the ice cream was super friendly. Didn't seem like she was happy to be there but she was nice enough and was helpful. The girl at the register's vibe on the other hand was totally unfriendly. I think she was miffed that I didn't leave a tip (I'm sorry, but this isn't a sit down restaurant and I'm tired of places asking for tip for employees doing the most basic duties). Honestly, I won't be going back to that Screamery. Next time I'll try The Hub if I'm in the area for ice cream. read more

My family and I were in town and decided to checkout the downtown area where we ran across Screamery. There were 2 guys working the night that we visited and they were super friendly and helpful. I ordered a waffle cone with a sea salt caramel that had nuts ( forgot the name) and a vanilla based ice cream that had real honey and bits of honeycomb. My children ordered a flight that allows for 6 flavors to be chosen. My daughter raves about the peppermint mocha and my dad had a whiskey flavored ice cream that he continued to talk about even after we left. I'd definitely recommend this place for delicious creative ice cream flavors and friendly customer service. read more
