This is a food truck. I found it at the bottom of Tumamoc hill. The portion sizes are very small for such a high price. The smoothie I had (Very Berry) tasted bland and was not very impressive.

This was a wonderful way to celebrate making it down Tumamoc!! All fresh and organic... great recommendations... I loved that he had sugar and dairy free options so I could still keep to my whole 30 diet! Absolutely loved this truck!

Wow this place is tasty! Check out Facebook and Instagram to figure out where the truck is parked. They are able to accommodate gluten free, dairy free, and vegan - just ask (also the menu is pretty clear about these). Found them at the bottom of Tumamoc Hill on a hot Sunday morning. The açaí bowl really hit the spot and the gentleman running the truck was incredibly friendly, patient, and kind. We will definitely be back!

Found the Purple Tree Truck at the Rillito Wash Farmers Market. I've seen the truck in several different locations but didn't have an opportunity to try it out until this visit. I ordered a small Acai Bowl which cost $5. I thought was fair however, when it came out it fit in a very small plastic cup. It was the size of a cup you'd see at an art gallery that gives out free wine. I felt that the $5 I paid wasn't equal to the size of food I received. The bowl was delicious and fresh though, hence why I gave it four out of five stars.I'll likely go for the large size next time I try out the Purple Tree Truck to hopefully get more for my money.

Now I rarely give a whole five stars but Tucson has been showing up and showing out! I peeped this truck on Hotel McCoy's IG page and purposely sought it out to 1. Support a black food truck owner! 2. Try my first Acai bowl and he did not disappoint. $6 for a small bowl of freshness! If I had time to track him down every morning, I would. The fresh fruit, the individual ingredients: honey, pumpkin flax, granola, coconut flakes for that crunch, yes, Yes, YES give me more. SN: the little girl who I assume if his daughter is too cute, the cashier.

Local! Fresh! Organic! Nutritious! Delicious! 5 things I look for in a 5 star review! While walking the Rillito farmers market, I saw the Purple Tree truck. The friendly owner popped his head out the serving window and asked if I had any questions. Hey now! I am a foodie from Portland, OR. Of course I had questions. Owner had the answers and served up the Acai bowl. It was a warm winter day and the Acai bowl hit the spot. Good combination of berries, fruits and granola. I'm looking forward to trying the ice cream, smoothies, coffee and everything on the menu.

Stopped here after conquering Tumamoc Hill on a weekday night and this place was a life saver! I was completely depleted and needed something nourishing and healthful and like an answer to low-blood sugar prayer, there they were! I had the small acai bowl and it was the perfect size for the $5 price tag. The guy in the truck was super nice and asked me if I wanted everything that came in the bowl or had any questions about the ingredients. The bowl came out lightning fast and everything was fresh and delicious; I devoured it in less than 5mins! Would definitely stop in again post-TH workout!

This truck is super cute and the açaí bowls are soooooo good! They're all natural and super healthy!

I like visiting Purple Tree Truck when they're on campus for an açaí bowl. I opt to pick them over Jamba Juice to support local. The açaí itself isn't too sweet (in a good way). There's a generous amount of granola and it's crunchy! However, compared to other açaí bowls around Tucson, there isn't as much fruit, especially for the price. If you pay with card, there's a small fee. A large açaí is $8.25 (including the fee). For the same price, you get more value (more toppings) at other places like Pure Love Juice and Berry Devine. The owner of the truck is super friendly though! I'd like to try more of his menu items in the future.

Açaí bowl really hit the spot!! Very fast and friendly service. Wish the sizes were larger considering the price but would come again.

Ridiculously delicious. Fresh, hearty, refreshing--this bowl legitimately made my afternoon. Andre is a cool dude who takes pride in his product. If you want an acai bowl in Tucson, this is the place to go!

I ran into this truck on UofA campus and got really excited! Andre was extremely friendly to me and I ordered a small Acai bowl. I've been to Goodness and tried theirs before but tbh I like Purple Tree better. Their granola and consistency is better, goodness has a lot of toppings which sometimes I avoid haha... It's really refreshing and sweet! I'll definitely order again.

They sold out fast, and when they came back on Thursday, I made sure I was first in line no way I was risking missing out twice. Their menu is incredibly easy to read, streamlined, and straight to the point: it's all about the birria. They keep the payment process simple too, cash or card, no drama, just efficiency. I ordered a birria taco and a mulita, which is basically a double-tortilla birria quesadilla situation, and both were absolute standouts. Prices are on point, especially for the quality. You can literally smell the birria before you even get close to the truck. The meat is juicy and seasoned perfectly; you can taste every layer of flavor. And the cheese? I'm convinced they're using Oaxaca cheese because it is incredibly rich and melts just right. I'm not sure where their permanent spot is, but if you ever see Birria Munchies Truck out in the wild, do yourself a favor and stop. This truck is absolutely worth chasing down. Sam Fox of Fox Concept Restaurants (Wildflower, Blanco, Zinburger, Culinary Drop Out) told Ken Foy of Dante's Fire upon opening his Culinary Drop Out directly across the street that "I'm going to put you out of business so fast..." Not too kind nor professional of words to a fellow chef. Well, Dante's Fire is still open and going strong. So Chef Foy decides to do a food truck. So in a slap in the face to "Culinary Dropout," he names it "Culinary Graduate." I think that's funny. Lost some respect for Sam Fox. So, you look at this food truck's menu and you salivate at every item. The worst part of this truck is having to decide what you are going to order. Part of the problem is that the menu items are $10 a pop or more. Not cheap. I decided to go baseline and tried the Sexy Grilled Cheese. Delicious combination of flavors. My only disappointment was the way the bread was grilled. Uneven. Still had plenty of ungrilled white real estate. Not grilled to perfection as my former favorite food truck, Burgerrito (since moved to Tennesee), could do. That will be my bar of standard for grilled sandwiches forever. The garlic fries were good and I enjoyed them. I was disappointed that he was out of the tomato herb potato chips. I can't remember his name, but I sure enjoyed service from the employee. He was super friendly, passionate about the truck, and energetic. Follow them on Facebook for days of service and location. 5* = A top favorite. Mind-blowing good.
