She got the daily special which was a potsticker inspired noodle dish. WOW!!!! Absolutely amazing. It was sweet and savory with lots of flavor and yummy vegetables. I ordered the biscuits and gravy because it is my favorite dish EVER. Urban Fresh did not disappoint. The homemade biscuits were fantastic, with chive mixed in throughout. I could have eaten an entire bowl of the gravy and not been disappointed! It was so so so delicious. I was nervous bc it was coconut based but it all came together very balanced and I could not detect any coconut. I also ended up getting the sweet heart juice which has beets, carrots, ginger. It was so good!!!! Chauncey blended it as soon as I ordered. He pulled out the ingredients in front of me so it doesn't get fresher than that!! Please support local! The owners are really doing something special here and I would definitely come back to enjoy more things on the menu.

When I was new to town, the owner actually came out, chatted with me, and gave me a whole list of places to check out, people to meet, and things to do. It was such a welcoming moment that I've made a point to pay that forward to every new-to-town person I meet. Looking back, Urban Fresh was one of my very first experiences here -- and it set the bar. Fresh juices, house rolls, rotating specials, and all those scratch-made sauces keep things exciting every visit. Cozy vegan oasis energy tucked into a cute downtown cove, and still one of my consistent go-tos. The African hot sauce is my fav!

What a pleasure to see the menu- not too overbearing , yet plenty of options on the 4 pages. The variety of offerings were usual fare in basic sense of any place serving Me Ivan food yet- not. Who has crispy avocado tacos for instance? Mexican style quesadilla? We ended up each getting the Classic Burrito- however this is not for the person who eats like a bird. It is HUGe and we saw reason for $17 price- my goodness- this is second day since going and eating lunch from it today and I still have enough left for third meal and maybe another! The Birria meat- best so have had besides a friend making it slightly better but close! The peppers I added to mine- delicious! The service happy and kind - even when my older mother "needed" a paper receipt- "Sigh" The ambiance is nice as you stand in line under shade to order then have the option to sit in courtyard and eat or take home. We took ours as she had to get home to her dog - we both agreed it was delicious and we would return! Highly recommend!

Three people in our group ordered the surf and turf, either as burritos or tacos, and none of us enjoyed it. Both burritos had a strip of cold, unmelted cheese running through them, and the tortillas were undercooked. The shrimp was overcooked. When we asked if the cheese could be melted, the waiter checked with the kitchen and returned to tell us that the kitchen said they do not melt the cheese. The bartender was attentive and aware of our needs, but unfortunately, the rest of the male staff were not. Overall, the food and service were both disappointing.

Even during the busy lunch rush with what seemed like half the downtown office crowd grabbing lunch, the staff was incredibly attentive and everything moved surprisingly fast. I never felt rushed, but I was still able to get in and out with plenty of time to spare. I ordered the Chipotle Green Chile Cheeseburger, and it was phenomenal! The smash burger patties were perfectly cooked with a great sear, and the green chile had just the right amount of flavor without overpowering the burger. I especially loved the smoky chipotle flavor. It came with their house-made chips, which were fresh and really tasty. I also ordered a sweet tea that was delicious and paired perfectly with lunch. Before I left, I grabbed a bag of the Raptor Tracks from the bakery case. I forgot to take a picture, but they were so good. They reminded me of Nutella Muddy Buddies and disappeared way too quickly. Great food, fast service, and a perfect option if you're working or spending time downtown. I'll definitely be back, and I highly recommend the Chipotle Green Chile Cheeseburger!

I knew this would be true, but the contrast is unnerving because it makes you realize that what you think is "good" Mexican food has been totally distorted by mediocrity. The service was friendly and helpful -- no complaints there. The dining rooms itself seemed a bit overspaced, but certainly was clean and serviceable. Starting with the salsa and chips, well, that alone makes it all worthwhile. Having it homemade and fresh makes all difference. Then onto the steak taco I had, which was flavorful, juicy, plentiful, and had all the right toppings. That was only exceeded by the shrimp tostada I ordered with amazingly fresh and sweet shrimp. Honestly, $10.99 is a steal for this item. My wife was happy with her beef taquitos, although it wouldn't have been my first choice.

While the restaurant was busy, the waitresses were taking selfies and what appeared to be a manager was sitting down eating and laughing instead of helping staff or customers. Our order was taken incorrectly multiple times. We ordered tacos with corn tortillas and received flour tortillas instead. We asked for a Dr Pepper and were given Sprite. One of our meals was completely forgotten, and when they finally rushed it out, the shrimp was still raw and the food was undercooked. The food overall was average at best, and the experience was frustrating. To make matters worse, they still charged a tip after all the mistakes and poor service. Definitely not a place I would return to.

The staff was friendly and welcoming while we waited, and they made sure our order was complete except for a side of chips, which wasn't a big deal since they provided plenty of tostadas. The server even went the extra mile by including small containers of our favorite hot sauce, which we really appreciated. Unfortunately, once we got home, we noticed the Camarón Culichi wasn't quite up to the standard we've come to expect from Mariscos Chihuahua. The Culichi sauce was much thinner than usual, and the quality and portion of the shrimp seemed to have changed. There were only a few shrimp in the dish, and they were noticeably smaller than what we've received during previous visits. The shrimp ceviche was still enjoyable, although the flavor also seemed a little different than usual. Overall, it was still a delicious meal, and we'll definitely be back because we've always had great experiences here. We just hope this was an isolated experience and not a sign that the restaurant's quality is changing.

Once my husband and I arrived, at 7 o'clock on a Friday a couple weeks ago, we were sat immediately. I ordered a Horchata, I found their take on it, refreshing and unique. The pistachio coconut rim was so different, but good! I ordered the chef board appetizer ,which comes out looking like a work of art. I believe there were four different cheeses/spreads, and multiple arrays of fruits and sides. I loved it! My husband liked his pork belly appetizer too. Our meals were both phenomenal, with my husband, choosing the salmon dish and I had the chicken piccata dish. Fries taste fresh and had the perfect crisp tothem., well, though I didn't expect the olives with my entree, they really helped him make the dish! Even the leftover was amazing. There is a small parking lot but it gets very busy, especially on weekends, so you might have to find street parking near or around the block. There are 2 areas when you enter: one for pick-up/called ahead orders and one line if you need to place an order. It does get pretty busy at much time, so likely be prepared to wait 10-15 minutes once you place your order. There is not sit down option; it's all take out. They use styrofoam containers. There are a-la-carte options and combos, so take a peep at their menu. The only serve menudo on weekends and sell out QUICKLY, usually gone by 10am on Saturdays. We got there at 11:30 and they were sold out. All their combos are reasonably priced and you get a decent amount of food. Tacos are more hardshell, American style, not typically street style tacos you'll find at most taco shops in Tucson. Their tamales are a little on the smaller side but still flavorful; I got the red beef tamales and theirs does not come with green olives (depends on families and recipes). Whether you're looking for a breakfast burrito or an affordable lunch option, I'd recommend checking out this Tucson classic.
