My New Go-To Burger Spot in NW Tucson! I live in the area and have always defaulted to Five Guys for my burger cravings--until now. I've visited this place four times since May 2026, and it has completely won me over. I can't find a burger joint like this anywhere else in NW Tucson! The Food I've tried nearly all of their burgers, and they are consistently fantastic. The flavor and juiciness are excellent, but the Cheddar Bomb Burger is AMAZING--an absolute must-try. The sides are great too; I highly recommend getting the Cajun fries. Price & Service The pricing is rock solid. For the exact same price you'd pay at Five Guys, you get a burger and fries that are leagues better in both quality and taste. The service is also incredibly fast. On a recent visit, I stopped by just for the food (I wasn't even shopping), ordered my burger to-go, and it was in my hands within just a few minutes. Location Thoughts Right now, the restaurant is tucked back in the outlet mall's food court. I genuinely hope they consider moving to a better, more prominent location so the business can truly blossom. A spot in the Arizona Pavilions or across the highway on Cortaro would be perfect. The only real competitor over there is In-N-Out, which frankly isn't even competition compared to this place, in my opinion. Ol Pot Hole is officially a new go-to stop for us! We had the #1 burger on the menu and it was amazing. The fries were great too, and the Southwest seasoning was SO good. Our server actually recommended that seasoning specifically because it paired best with the burger we chose -- such a small detail, but it made a difference! We also tried the BBQ chicken fries, which were delicious and a HUGE portion. Definitely come hungry! The service really stood out. Being in a food court, we weren't necessarily expecting that level of personal attention, which made it even more memorable. Great recommendations, great food, and genuinely great service. This review is complicated. My wife and I usually get two different items and share, so we try more things. Not sure what happened, but it was like our food came from two different kitchens. Good and bad. The bad: My buffalo blue burger with southwest fries came out first. The fries were very over cooked. Like they had already been fried, then thrown in the fryer again to reheat them. The product was hollowed out crunchy fries that I couldn't even eat. The burger was decent but tepid in temperature. 3 Stars The good: my wife's desert heat burger with Cajun fries came out next and it was fantastic! The fresh cut fries were hot and perfectly cooked. The burger was hot and fresh with delicious flavors. 5 Stars How did something so bad and so good came from the same place with in minutes of each other? We were looking for someplace new to try out for burgers. My husband decided to check this place out, and we were not disappointed. I had the mushroom Swiss burger and he had the bacon burger. Both were deliciously and perfectly seasoned. We had garlic fries that were cooked to perfection. Nothing was greasy or lukewarm-the temperature was just right. Website says that they're open till 8 o'clock called at 7:10. No Answer showed up at the location at 7:25. Nobody there flat top clean fryers clean. After walking all the way across the entire mall found out the place is not open very disappointing. Should definitely take some time to update your hours so people aren't wasting their time. read more

I cannot say how the food tastes, because I never got waited on! I stood there for almost 15 minutes waiting to order and never got helped. They had 2 guys working the grill in the back and nobody working in front counter. This hurt them today. I was one of many that gave up and got good at other places in the food court. While sitting down to eat, I personally witnessed 7 other groups and/or couples who also have up waiting and went elsewhere. An absolute treasure that is found in a mall food court. THE OL POT HOLE!!!! What a wonderful experience, burger has huge, pressed super thin and lacy with excellent crust and the flavor was on point! The bun was a plain white hamburger bun, toasted to perfection, which is the best in my opinion, we don't want to over complicate the burger with some fancy nonsense bun. The toppings (lettuce, tomato and onions) were slice just right to obtain the perfect balance and the bacon was crisp and not over cooked. Then to top it all off the FRIES!!! The fries are fresh and hand sliced we opted for the cajon seasoning which had the perfect amount of spice and salt! I've been seeing positive reviews on Facebook groups saying this burger place at the Tucson Outlet Malls was amazing. We were out shopping and needed a small snack so we decided to stop by and split a burger and fries. We got the desert heat which had a spicy kick, but wasn't too spicy at all. It was so good! The mall food court was super quiet, so we walked right up and ordered our food. It was made fresh and available to eat maybe 5-10 minutes later. My favorite burger in town, by far! If you want a smash patty, this is the spot! My favorite is the current special--the sweet heat, but the desert heat and cheddar bomb are also elite. I've never had a burger I didn't love here. The fries are customizable with seasonings, which is awesome. Everything tastes so fresh and delicious. Since it is only 10 minutes away, I decided we'll try ITit for our takeout for dinner. It is a Winner. It's definitely a new go-to. My Bacon Smash Style cheeseburger was delicious. I have been in Tucson for almost 25 years and do try to keep up with the Burger outlets.Ol'Pot Hot instantly moves into my top 5. Possibly number 1, but I need to get to just a couple more spots. This is by far, one of the BEST burger joints i've ever been at. The customer service was incredible, I felt extremely welcome and gave a home-y feel while being attended. The food, was out of this world! The service is very quick, it's in a food court in the outlet mall so you order at the counter, they give you a little peeper and then you sit down. The burgers and fries are amazing here. I'm still working my way through the burgers on the menu, but they do have chicken sandwiches also.
